Kara Danvers was most possibly the most stubborn person Lena had ever met. The alien woman had a tendency to want to save everyone, even if it meant her death. Lena loved Kara with every ounce of her being, but that doesn’t mean her girlfriend didn’t agitate her.

Lena watched from her spot in front of the computer monitor, as her girlfriend flew straight into a kryptonian bomb. Her heartbeat sounded in her ears, her fear thrumming through her. But beyond that fear, buried deep, was booming anger.

She had specifically told Kara not to do this, that there was a very slim chance that she would survive. But of course there had been a chance - also very slim - that the bomb would have an effect on human life. So, Kara had decided - against everyone’s advice - to dive right where the bomb was and try and disarm it.

Kara’s voice was babbling in her ear, asking for directions. She doesn’t even know how to disarm the damned thing.

Lena stood there, watching and listening, for what felt like forever, but was really just thirty minutes. Her arms were crossed over her chest, and her black hair was pulled up in a tight ponytail. She was beyond pissed. She could hear Winn giving Kara directions, and Alex telling Kara to hurry up. But she was silent. She knew that if she opened her mouth, it wouldn’t be words of encouragement spilling from her lips.

Almost an hour later, Kara came flying in. Her feet dropped onto the floor with a thud. Her usual bright smile was spread across her face, her blonde hair a mess of tangles. “Well,” she said, “I think that was a job well done!”

Lena glared at her, but didn’t speak. Behind her, James, Alex, and Winn were snickering loudly, but she didn’t pay them any mind. Instead, she grabbed her girlfriend by the wrist, and started dragging her up the stairs.

“Oooo, someone’s in trouble!” Alex teased behind them.

Damn right she was.

Kara was nervous.

Lena was dragging her up the stairs to their shared apartment. The entire drive had been silent.

Kara had known that Lena didn’t like her doing stunts like that, but Kara couldn’t risk people getting hurt! She’s Supergirl, it’s basically in the job description!

She can’t possibly be that mad, right?

Lena shoved open their door, and pushed Kara in. She stumbled, barely catching herself on the counter in time. She went to push herself up, but Lena pushed her back down. “Don’t fucking move,” Lena snarled in her ear.

Kara froze, tensing up with anxiety. Sure, she’s seen Lena angry, sure, she’s made Lena angry, but never like this.

Lena twists her hand in Kara’s blonde hair, forming her hand into a tight fist, and tugging her head back. “I didn’t think that you could be so stupid, that you would go against my orders,” Lena snarled in her ear. “Honestly, Kara, for someone so smart, you are incredibly dumb.”

“I-”

“Shut up! I didn’t say you could talk, did I?”

Before Kara could utter another word, she was being shoved off of the counter and into their bedroom. Her hair was still clutched tightly in her girlfriend's hands, causing sharp pain to echo through her skull.

Kara knew that if she really wanted to, she could just use her alien strength to pull out of the grip, but she also knew that if she did so, Lena would only get more pissed.

Lena shoved her onto the bed, barely giving her a glance. Kara started to push up onto her elbows, but a familiar click sound. Immediately, her wrists and ankles were tied down to the bed.

A few months ago, Lena had made this to keep Kara tied during more… intense sessions.

“You haven’t been on your best behavior, Kara.”

“Lena!” Kara cried, “It’s my job!”

“‘Job’ or not, you shouldn’t have disobeyed me.” Kara opened her mouth to argue, but was distracted by Lena grabbing onto a small button object, and held it up. “This,” Lena started, a sadistic smile spreading across her lips, “is something that I made just for naughty girls like you.” Kara could only stare as her girlfriend stalked towards, “Color?” she whispered.

“G-green.”

“Good girl.”

Not a second later, the button was being pushed into Kara’s entrance.

“Ah,” she gasped, her eyes fluttering close, and her head falling back. “L-lena.”

“Feel good?”

“Mhmm.”

Oh god-

The button started moving frantically inside of her, a faint buzz-ing sound.

Shit, shit, shit, shit-

“Color?”

“Green!”

The pleasure coursed through Kara, her body writhing. Her wrists pulled on the restraints, and her legs kicked out. Her eyes were clenched shut, and her head thrashed on the pillows.

So close, so close, so close.

Kara screamed, her back arching from the bed. Her ankles planted on the bed, as she orgasmed.

The vibrations calmed, turning into a dulled movement.

Her chest moved with her pants. “S-stop,” she whispered, the overstimulation hitting her.

You loved behaving for your girlfriend. Before Lena, you were out of control and irresponsible. Lena taught you how to grow up. She took care of you, and she praised you when you were good, but she also punished you when you were bad. You hated being punished, but she never took it too far and she always asked for permission. And for the most part it was working, you were on time for work, eat 3 meals a day, and did other things that most adults do. You were being responsible.

You met Lena through your sisters, Kara and Alex. You both immediately hit it off and soon enough you were dating. Your sisters were a little hesitant at first, but once they saw much you guys loved each other, they were all for it. You guys were good together, Lena made you better.

Once you were in the “rhythm” of responsibility, you soon found out that Lena gave you a lot less attention. You didn’t get as much praise for your good behavior and you found yourself getting bored. When you got this way, you would do little things to step out of line. Nothing really bad, but just enough to get her attention, like sleeping in late on purpose or giving her attitude. But every once in a while, you took it a little too far... like right now.

You and some friends decided to race motorcycles after work. Usually you would have declined, it was dangerous and illegal and you didn’t do stuff like that anymore. But you were feeling rebellious and compulsive and you missed Lena. You didn’t tell her you were here but you knew she would find out... she always did.

You were having fun racing your friends when you see your girlfriend’s car, and inside a very angry girlfriend. You stopped riding and looked at her, and she got out of the car.

“Y/N Danvers what the hell do you think your doing?” Lena yelled.

“Calm down Lena I’m just having some fun” you replied.

“Calm down? Don’t tell me to calm down Y/N you could’ve gotten hurt? Come on we’re leaving” Lena said.

“Lena you’re freaking out for no reason, it’s not a big deal” you said, knowing you were pushing it.

Lena stop yelling and said in her most serious tone, “Get in the car. Now”.

You knew by her tone it was time to stop messing around, so you listened and got into the car with Lena.

You start to explain, “Lena-”

But she cuts you off, “I don’t want to hear it right now. We’ll talk when we get home”

You gulp and nod. You both ride the rest of the way home in silence. Your anxiety was bubbling with wondering how she would react when you got home.

You felt your stomach drop when you reached your destination. You both silently got out of the car and walked in.

“Take off your pants” Lena said sternly.

“Lena come on, I don’t think-” you started.

Lena cut you off, “Pants off. Now.”

You gulped, “Yes Lena”

“Yes who?” She said, raising an eyebrow.

“Yes Miss Luthor” you said quickly, taking off your pants. You stood there, pantless, waiting for her next instruction.

“Now your panties” Lena said.

“But Lena-“ you said.

“No buts Y/N. You were reckless and irresponsible and you need to be punished.” Lena said matter-of-factly.

You sighed and took off your panties, while Lena went to sit on the couch. She motioned for you to follow.

“Get on my lap, bottom up” Lena said.

You did what she said and crawled on top of Lena.

“Y/N are you okay with this?”

You nod and she adds, “Darling, I need to hear you say it”

“Yes Miss Luthor” you respond.

Lena gives you a small smile, “Good girl”.

She gives your bottom a small rub, as if preparing you and without warning slapped down on it.. hard.

You winced out in pain as she spanked you.. again... and again... and again. With every spank, more and more tears were gathering in your eyes. By the time she got to 20, you were sobbing.

“All done baby, you did so good” Lena said, rubbing your behind as you cried.

Lena let herself up, letting you stay to rest for a bit. She walked away, and got the tub running. She came back and helped you up and into the tub. You cried out as you first got in, but then the pain started to dull. You let Lena take care of you, cleaning you, and washing your hair. When she was all done she helped you stand up and wrapped a towel around you. She led you to your bedroom and handed you soft sweatpants and a t-shirt to wear. After you got dressed, you burst out crying.

“What's the matter sweetheart, does it still hurt?” Lena asked.

You shook your head no, “I’m so sorry Lena”

Lena motioned for you to get into bed with her, “Baby it’s okay, you did something bad but you got punished and now all is forgiven. You’re still my good girl, okay?”

“Okay” you said, crawling into bed with her.

She stroked your hair, comforting you and finally spoke up, “Can I ask you why you have been acting out lately?”

You cleared your throat, “I just... I just wanted your attention. I miss you.”

Lena smiled, “Oh baby you don’t have to try and get yourself killed to get my attention. And I know, I have been working a lot and giving you less approval.. It’s just you’ve been doing so good that I didn’t think you needed it. I love you so much and I’ll make sure to give you all the attention and praise you deserve from now on”

“You pinky swear?” you asked quietly.

Lena laughed at your childish and adorable manner and held out her pinkie, “Yes I pinkie swear”

You smiled, “Thanks Lena. And I promise too.. no more motorcycle races”

Lena laughed, “Pinkie swear?”

Bobbi Morse-Okaia tipped back her beer, taking another drink from it before laughing at the joke Mon-El made. Kate Kane had decided to take the night off of being a superhero, so there was a group of them hanging at Kate’s bar.

“We should do this more often,” Jade Okaia-Morse murmured into Bobbi’s ear, slipping an arm around her wife’s waist.

“It is pretty fun,” Bobbi agreed. Mon-El made another joke, causing everyone to laugh and Kara Danvers to playfully smack her boyfriend’s shoulder before leaning against it.

“This has got to be the least straight group ever,” Alex Danvers commented, Maggie Sawyer nodding in agreement.

“She’s right, no one here is straight,” Rhea Ripley agreed.

“It’s hard to be straight around you,” Toni Storm teased.

“Can’t help it if all the girls want to call me Daddy,” Rhea smirked.

“A dom top Daddy,” Kate said, leaning across the bar to quickly kiss Rhea before doing the same to Toni. The group laughed again as the door to the bar opened and the clicking of heels approached. Kara looked up first, her expression turning sad. Mon-El turned to see what made Kara so sad and when he saw who it was, his expression turned cold.

“What are you doing here?” He asked coldly. Lena Luthor sneered at him.

“It’s a public bar,” she said. Kate looked at Kara and noticed the look on her friend’s face.

“Oh, is this that bitch? The one who hurt you?” Kate demanded.

“I deserved it,” Kara mumbled. Kate shook her head as Bobbi stood, pulling her gun out and aiming it at Lena.

“You must be Lena Luthor, the bitch who hurt Kara with kryptonite because she kept something very private to her a secret. See, Kara’s my friend and I don’t like it when my friends get hurt,” Bobbi said calmly. Jade stood and gently pulled her wife back, taking the gun out of her hands and putting it in the waistband of her own pants.

“I got this babe,” Jade said before turning to Lena.

“And who are you?” Lena asked in a dismissive tone.

“I’m Jade Okaia. Princess of Outworld. And if you ever, and I mean ever decide to threaten to out someone against their will again, I will personally see to it that you learn respect,” Jade replied, her tone icy. Lena scoffed.

“I didn’t threaten to out her,” she replied.

“Oh, but you did. Maybe not in the traditional sense, but according to both SHIELD and the DEO, along with STAR Labs, the Avengers, Young Avengers, New Avengers, X-Men, Fearsome Four, Fantastic Five, Justice League, Young Justice, and Outworld that revealing or threatening to reveal a superhero’s identity counts as a form of outing them,” Jade said. Lena scoffed as Alex shook her head.

“I used to think you were a good friend to my sister, but now I know you’re nothing but a selfish, self centered, entitled bitch,” she said disappointedly. By now, Kate had made her way over to the other side of the bar.

“You should leave, now,” she said dangerously. Lena looked her up and down.

“And who are you?” She said dismissively.

“Kate Kane. And she’s taught me that everything that happened with you is not my fault,” Kara said. Kate stared down Lena as the door opened again.

“You’re only acting this way because I’m a Luthor,” Lena said.

“No, it’s because you’ve never once felt remorse for your actions. Hell, I have a lot of blood on my hands, blood of innocents. But I’ve made amends and am working towards a better future for my people,” Skarlet Johnson-Rogers said as she walked in with James Rogers, Kitana Okaia-Morse, and Liu Kang.

“And who are you?” Lena asked.

“Skarlet Johnson-Rogers. Queen of Edenia. Daughter of Shao Kahn and adopted by Thanos. You should know that pissing off Outworld enough like this makes you damn near irredeemable. They forgave my mom, and her and Princess Jade have hated each other for years,” Liu said. Lena scoffed and turned to leave. On her way out, Lena very obviously on purpose bumped her shoulder against Kitana rather roughly.

“Oh that’s it,” Kitana said and grabbed the back of Lena’s jacket, yanking the Luthor towards her and punching her out.

“Seriously Kitana!” Kara exclaimed.

“Hey, the bitch ran into me and it seriously fucking hurt,” Kitana said, rubbing at her shoulder. James bent down and lifted up Lena’s arm, showing a gold colored bracelet on her wrist. Kara inhaled sharply.

“Gold kryptonite,” she said.

“The only known thing that can negate the healing factor of Outworlders, Edenians, and Kryptonians,” Bobbi said. James took the bracelet off Lena and put it into his own pocket before looking at Bobbi.

“I’ll call SHIELD, have them pick her up,” he said. Bobbi nodded and James walked off. Fifteen minutes later, SHIELD arrived and cuffed Lena, taking her away.

Fandom: Supergirl Rating: K Pairings: None A/N: I fully intended for this to just be a goofy headcanon and then WHOOPS it turned into Danvers Sisters feelings. (Not k*lex. If I see it tagged as such, ya get BLOCKED.) Short. 99% fluff. Probably contains spelling errors. You’ve been warned.

Then

Occasionally, Alex would regret all the time and effort she'd wasted focusing on the downsides of having been thrust into elder sibling-dom. Because while, yes, a lot of the changes that occurred in the Danvers household upon Kara's arrival were...not great...there were definitely some perks to having a sister.

Like the simple satisfaction of a perfectly timed, “Shotgun!” victory.

“What?” Kara protested, her yawn undercutting her indignation. “You can't call shotgun yet, we don't leave for another hour.”

“You snooze you lose,” Alex told her, giving her a pointed look as she yawned again. “Literally.”

Kara rolled her eyes and returned to stuffing pairs of t-shirts and shorts into her duffle bag. Alex did the same, surveying her own bag to see if she'd missed anything. Bug spray, maybe?

She turned to head out into the hall, but Kara stood in her path, wearing a sly smile.

Alex didn't like the look of it. Not one bit.

“What's with the face?” she asked, attempting to sidestep around her younger sister. Kara easily blocked her, and crossed her arms.

“Okay, you get shotgun,” she said. Alex blinked.

“Uh, yeah. I know. I called it.”

“Which means,” Kara continued, complete with dramatic pause for full effect, but Alex already knew what was coming. The second half of the rule...how could she have forgotten. How could she have been so foolish. “I get to pick the music.”

Alex groaned in dismay.

“Kara, no.”

It would take them four hours to get to the Tuolumne Meadows campground. Alex sighed, and rested her head against the passenger-side window. That meant four rounds of Fearless, though it was more likely that Kara would just play the same five or six songs she'd been listening to on repeat ever since she bought the album.

“Can't we listen to something else? Please?” Alex begged.

Kara smirked, and turned the volume up.

But of course, her mom immediately turned it back down, giving Kara a stern look in the rearview mirror.

“Kara,” she said in a tone that suggested, knock it off.

Kara quickly cowed, retreating further into the safety of the backseat. “Sorry, Eliza.”

“Great,” Alex said, sitting up straighter in her seat. “Now get her to play something else.”

“Alex, just listen to your iPod, if you don't like Kara's music,” her mom suggested. Alex sank back into the seat.

“...It's not charged.” There was a snort from the backseat. Alex glared into the rearview mirror. “Because someone lost their chord and was hogging mine this morning.”

Kara shrugged, and smirked that same insufferable smirk.

“You snooze you lose.”

Four hours and what felt like a billion playthroughs of “Forever and Always” later, they arrived at the campsite, the interminable car ride almost instantly forgotten as the rocky banks of the river came into view. Alex had been here before, years ago on a father-daughter camping trip, but it was Kara's first time. As they filed out of the car and began to pull duffle bags and ice chests from the trunk, she turned to gaze out at the trees, taking a deep, calming breath.

Alex joined her, and gave her shoulder a good natured nudge. “It's nice, huh?”

“Yeah,” Kara agreed. “It's...a softer kind of noisy, than Midvale,” she explained with a happy sigh. And then, after a moment, she said, “...Sorry for being a jerk, in the car.”

“It's fine,” Alex shrugged. “Here, grab the tent.” Kara lifted the gear with ease, and followed Alex over to a level patch of dirt. “I just don't get how you can listen to the same, like, five songs.” She gestured for Kara to dump out the contents of the tent.

“No super speed, Kara!” Eliza called from the car. “You'll kick up too much dust!”

“Okay!” Kara called back as Alex began sorting the pieces. Kara stooped to help her. “They're good songs. You listen to your favorites a lot.” And Alex had to pause and silently admit, that was true.

“Yeah, but not over and over,” Alex finally said. “I'd get tired of them.” Which was also true. She remembered liking that Fray song, once upon a time, but now, it just annoyed her, any time it played on the radio.

Kara shook her head at Alex’s remark. “I don’t. There's something new, every time.”

Alex glanced over at her, ready with a retort—how could there be anything new in Taylor Swift songs? Weren't they all just...basically the same thing? First dates at fifteen, feeling fearless in the rain at 2AM?

But Kara's eyes were bright behind her glasses as she enthusiastically went on. “Like, sometimes, I'll just listen to the rhythm, or the vocals, or I'll pick out my favorite sounds, and it makes the whole song brand new again.”

Alex narrowed her eyes. “So...it's an alien ears thing, or...?”

Kara considered the question as they continued to put the tent together—they'd located all the poles and stakes, and were maneuvering the tarps into place. “...Maybe?” She said.

Alex kept working on the tent, waiting for Kara to continue, perhaps offer some sort of additional explanation. When she didn’t, Alex looked up to see that Kara’s eyes were on the tree canopy overhead. Her expression was neutral, but Alex had come to recognize that particular look.

She was listening.

To what, Alex didn't know.

“Yeah,” she said after a time. “Yeah, I think it is an alien ears thing.” She smiled. “I like the way guitars sound.”

Alex might've teased her about that, if Kara hadn't sounded so achingly sincere. Did they have guitars, on Krypton? Alex couldn’t remember Kara saying anything about music from her home world. Alex knew it probably wasn’t the case, but she imagined it being a lot of...synth-y sci-fi stuff.

She considered asking Kara about it, but decided against it--sometimes, Kara would get...weird, about such topics, and they were having a nice time. Alex didn’t want to ruin it.

So instead, she feigned offense. “Well, if you like guitars, I don't see why you don't like my music.”

Kara emphatically shook her head.

“Your music is loud.”

Alex started feeding one of the poles through the tent material. “Um, yes? That's the best part?”

“Yeah, no thanks,” Kara chuckled as she hammered a stake in place. The repeated the process at each corner, and soon enough, the tent was upright, and ready for them to store their gear inside. “It's loud and it's so emo.”

Alex snorted, heading for their pile of backpacks and duffle bags.

“Okay, Miss 'Romeo save me I've been feeling so alone'.”

FWUMP.

A sleeping bag collided with Alex's right arm.

“That song is great!” Kara insisted, already reaching for more ammo with a wide smile.

“That's not even how the play goes!” Alex teased her. “Right? Aren't you like, the Romeo and Juliet expert?”

FWUMP. The second sleeping bag hit home, but Alex didn't care. She was having fun.

“That's not the point, and you know it!”

“See the lights, see the party, the ball gowns, see you make your way through the crowd--” Alex thought she was safe, as there were no more sleeping bags.

But Kara had found their pillows.

FWUMP. FWUMP.

She laughed again, careful not to let the pillows fall in the dirt. And she was just about ready to give Kara a taste of her own medicine, when she saw that sly smile once more.

Oh, no.

“Hey, Alex, if you hate the song so much,” Kara said with a knowing look, “how come you know all the words?”

Well, shoot.

“...Cause...you play it all the time. Obviously.”

“And you’ve listened close enough each time to learn all the lyrics?”

Alex scowled. “...I mean. It’s...it’s kind of catchy, I guess.”

Kara beamed.

“Ha! I knew—”

Alex hurled both pillows at her.

FWUMP!

Now

Alex lets out a relieved sigh.

Kara is back.

Kara is safe.

Kara appears to be whole and...mostly healthy. Her sodium levels are low enough to give Alex some pause, and her right leg shows signs of muscle strain, but otherwise...

“Can I go home now?” Kara's voice is raspy from fatigue. Alex shakes her head.

“Not yet,” she says. “Sodium has to be administered slowly. It's gonna take a while.”

Alex expects some sort of pushback, or protest, but Kara just offers a small hum of understanding. She really is tired, Alex realizes.

“But hey, good news,” Alex adds with forced brightness, “you do get to eat in about,” she consults her watch, “fifteen minutes, or so. Anything you want. Me and Kelly are buying.”

This earns a groggy grin from Kara, and Alex stores the image in her mind, filed under 'reassurances that Kara is still Kara, even after...everything.'

“A dangerous offer,” Kara jokes.

“Well. It...would not be the first time we bought a mountain of food, to welcome you home,” she admits. Kara shoots her a sad, questioning look, but Alex pointedly ignores it. “So. What'll it be? Pick your poison.”

Her sister's brow furrows in thought. “Um. I guess...whatever will get here fastest?” she suggests. “I'm starving.”

“Ah. We all had a feeling you might be, so,” Alex scoots her stool across the room and extracts a plastic bag from under one of the lab tables. “Snack run,” she says, revealing the spoils with a flourish. Kara laughs outright. It's soft, but it's the strongest she's sounded since returning from the Phantom Zone.

“Thank you,” she says. But Alex taps her watch.

“Still have eight minutes to go,” she reminds her. Kara nods obediently, though she's already sifting through the bag.

“I assume the apples and olives are from Brainy,” she says.

“He swears by that combo,” Alex tells her. “Don't worry, I'm pretty sure J'onn put some actual sustenance in there. You know. Red Vines. Pretzels. The good stuff.”

“...What's this?” Kara asks, and Alex wonders if Brainy perhaps added other questionable food combinations, but the item Kara pulls from the bag isn't one of the snacks.

“Oh.” Alex rubs her arm, a little self consciously. She forgot she left that in there. “That's just...” She pauses. “...I saw that. While you were...” Alex tries to think of a good word for it, but there isn’t one. “...away. I guess I thought...that if I got it. It...was like a promise. That we'd find you. And I'd give it to you.”

The logic doesn't seem quite as sound, as she says it out loud. Regardless, it dredges up memories of awful days marked only by failure, frustration, and fear that they'd never find Kara.

She shakes her head, clearing the thoughts away, and continues in a lighter tone. “Because obviously, pot stickers would go bad, so. This seemed...less wasteful.”

Kara nods, still staring at the shrink-wrapped copy of Fearless (Taylor's Version). A wistful sort of look tugs at her features.

“I haven't listened to these songs in years,” she says.

And Alex can't pass up the opportunity to tease her. “Yes. It's been nice.”

Kara rolls her eyes, but she's still smiling. “It's a good album and you know it,” she says. She sets it aside and yawns. Alex notices that she's looking a little worn out, and she doesn't appear interested in the food anymore.

“You want to rest, while I order the food?”

“...Yeah,” Kara decides. Alex stands to collect the snacks and put them back on the lab table. Kara inclines her heard towards the CD. “Did J'onn put a stereo down here?” Alex gives her a look. “Wait. Of course he did.”

Alex takes the hint and grabs the CD, pulling off the wrapper before heading out onto the main floor. The mismatched selection of furniture is currently off to the side, having been cleared away for one of Nia's training sessions. Alex finds the stereo next to one of the lamps.

When Alex returns to the med bay, Kara's already nearly asleep, her breathing slow and steady.

Alex checks on one of the computers—everything is holding steady, and Kara's responding well to the sodium. She should be able to go home tonight.

It makes Alex sigh in relief once more.

Kara's safe.

Kara's healthy.

Kara's home.

Alex places the CD into the open tray. Checks the track list, turns it to one of the softer songs, and lets it play.

Kara smiles as the opening chords drift through the speakers.

“I like the guitar,” she says quietly.
