It feels weird to already be at part 9, meaning the last episode of season 3.

I started this about 2 weeks ago maybe, with some very chaotic and messy posts and I can’t even count how many hours I spent doing this trip down memory lane. Thank you to those of you who stuck with me until the end, I hope you know I did this for you as much (if not more) as I did it for me.

Doing this made me realise how crazy those first few episodes were, filled with theories, and ‘what ifs’ that were hilarious and sometimes spot on (*paint scene* vs *hell NO, not happening*). It was the time of the giddy excitement of falling in love with those characters and just not knowing what the hell was going to happen.

The mid-season was all about growth of characters and discovering the wholesome cast and crew we’ve been blessed with. Discovering Maxence’s dorky side and beautiful soul and Axel’s no bullshit-policy and chaotic energy, David and Jeremy’s trolling ways and Niels’ incredible way with words...

But then, the last few episodes were… much fonder. I think you guys could feel the tone of the posts changing after episode 7, first of all… It got super long lmao, but it also became super hard for me to make fun of those moments. And I think it reflected how attached and deep in love the fandom was (and still is) with Lucas and Eliott. We are so emotionally connected and protective of them, it’s quite beautiful really.

This was definitely difficult for me to write, and I’m sorry this last part won’t be as fun as the previous ones, but I hope you’ll enjoy it still… But I guess the point of all this was to relive that amazing season that we got alongside Lucas and this hilarious fandom, so we have to accept the emotions I guess ^^’.

So… here goes, welcome to part 9 of my trip down memory lane that got us shook, excited and all that jazz in season 3.

Episode 10, or … “When is the minute by minute scene, David? WHEN?”

Mood:

1) The wait for the Minute by Minute clip, ACT 1: “Okay Lucille, I still don’t like you, but you did good here.”

Let’s go back to Saturday morning.

We knew Lucas wanted to meet up with Lucille, but a lot of people in the fandom thought it might not happen because he wouldn’t leave Eliott’s side.

And I remember how many fans were hoping for the minute by minute clip happening BEFORE that talk with Lucille.

As it turned out, the minute by minute clip never came that day, but we got a very hopeful clip instead. (One of my favs of the season tbh)

Because Lucille apologised:

And ate her hurtful words:

But most importantly, she said this:

And then, one of the most beautiful sequence happened.

We saw Lucas buy croissants for Eliott:

(I don’t want to start another Pain au Chocolat/Chocolatine debate, okay?... But at the same time: PAIN AU CHOCOLAT FTW)

And flowers:

We saw the struggles:

We saw Eliott battling with himself, disconnected from the world:

We saw Lucas wrapping some weird looking meal that Eliott didn’t want to eat:

And then we saw hope:

“My heart!!! MY HEART!”

And with a great speech narrated beautifully by Lola.

The fandom was overall happy with that clip, although we were on the edge of our seats for the minute by minute clip to drop.

We had already been robbed of a ‘Kitchen Dance’ Scene and the ‘Mannen I mitt Liv’ scene. So, the fans were PRAYING for it to come right NOW.

But one part of the earlier conversation didn’t please some fans very much: when Lucille implied Eliott had cheated on her multiple times. One thing was for sure however: Lucas wasn’t like them.

Shortly after the clip dropped, Lucas posted this:

I remember the fandom being like “That looks disgusting. Don’t cook Lucas. Please” and also “But why is he serving him pasta and … is that green beans? At 10 am? No wonder Eliott didn’t want to eat that!”

We didn’t get any clips on Sunday, but we got some social media updates that made the fans talk quite a lot.

First, we got this from Manon:

And mecs, I’ve never seen so many people talk about legs and knees before.

Really, it was insane.

And it started the fandom slight obsession for those body parts afterwards.

Elu… Or the “power of knees”.

Never thought I’d write that in my life tbh.

Love that for us lmao.

Then after Manon, Lucas posted this:

“AXEL! We know it was your idea!!”

“Omg, Lucas was telling Eliott all the parts of him he loves, MY HEART!”

I’m pretty sure that the joke about how Lucas’ IG was turning into an Eliott shrine started that week.

And HELL YES to that.

The good thing about getting those pictures was that the fandom knew Eliott was still at Lucas’ and that he seemed to be doing better.

(And that he went to the hairdresser)

So, the clip that came on Monday morning, wasn’t really what we were hoping for.

2) The wait for the Minute by Minute clip, ACT 2: “But… but… Noooo”

Our thirst for the minute by minute clip continued all throughout Monday.

When the first clip dropped at 8:10, the fans were excited.

“It’s the minute by minute clip!!! I can feel it!”

Except it really wasn’t and it felt like a slap in the face.

Gone were the knees and noses.

Because we got a worried Lucas:

Who had left a note for Eliott telling him he missed him:

And Lucas was SO happy to see Eliott awake:

“Look at that smile! He wants to take care of Eliott so much!”

But Eliott pushed him away pretty harshly:

And yeah… Mood:

Don’t love that very much for us.

“Please Skam France, I know this is very realistic, and I appreciate what you’re trying to do… BUT IT HURTS!”

I don’t think many fans expected an unhappy clip at all in this episode.

We expected some serious conversation with Eliott, sure, but not this.

The fandom was pretty distraught after that and at that point, 2 full days had come and gone without a proper on-screen reunion for those two.

However, I remember that if people were sad about that clip, the fandom was still pleased overall that Skam France went there with their portrayal of Eliott’s MI.

Because they showed the ugly parts, the parts where you lash out, even to your loved ones, but the one you hate the most in the end is still yourself. And they showed Lucas being offended (he took that note back) because how else could he react? That situation was still new to him.

It hurt, but it felt important.

3) The wait for the Minute by Minute clip, ACT 3: “Basile I can’t believe I’m saying this… But you hero, Part 2.”

In OG, that clip was with Isak talking to Eskild over the phone before Vilde asked him about hosting the Christmas party and then Isak invited Emma.

But then, the minute by minute talk had already happened at that point in OG… And Lucas had already cleared the air with Chloé 2 episodes earlier.

Add to this that we still had no idea about what was going to happen on Friday… We pretty much went into this clip blind, thinking we might see Daphné, but we had a lot of hope for some comfort regardless.

Seriously.

The fandom was a mess.

The clip started like Og, with Lucas talking with Mika over the phone:

Then he joined the boy squad:

But when he refused to eat because he felt guilt about not being with Eliott, Basile went on a speech that basically said that:

Or, thank you Basile, part 2:

Skam France, helping families, friends and lovers since 2018.

Love that for us.

Special mention to this:

(At least someone said ‘man of your life’ this season.)

And to this:

(Oh Basile, only you can be insightful about something and be a complete dumbass the second after)

4) The wait for the Minute by Minute clip, The Final Act: Minute by Minute.

I remember how many people were expecting a clip after the pep talk from Basile. And I think we all knew we were about to get that conversation.

I also remember people talking about Fort Boyard A LOT during that week because it was credited but we had never seen it before. So many theories were brought up with Fort Boyard, it was pretty hilarious tbh.

And, it HAD to come up then right? RIGHT?

Well…

Anyways.

Mika tried to pull a very unwilling Lisa away:

The much-awaited conversation started with Lucas’ beloved ‘kiss me’ face:

But Eliott needed to have a serious talk… And it didn’t start so well:

“Uh oh, no Eliott, please don’t do this”

And he spoke his mind about his mood swings, his medication, …:

(I honestly couldn’t bare cut that part of the conversation, but I didn’t have much of a commentary so I kept most of it like that)

“I can’t believe the writers made him express himself like that… THANK YOU.”

But then Eliott started tearing up:

The fandom FELT IT.

Maxence was so good in that scene. I can’t even put the right words on this mix of emotions (my vocabulary is failing me atm), but boy was it palpable.

And every time Eliott tried to push Lucas away with a ‘it’s going to happen, I’m going to hurt you’, ‘you’re not bipolar so it’s not the same’ arguments…

Lucas fought back, Lucas fought for Eliott.

And then he killed the fandom when he said that:

“Yes Lucas! YES! I’m so proud of you right now. You’ve come such a long way!”

And then this happened:

And I KNOW the fandom started to have a melt-down right after he said that.

After DAYS waiting for that moment, it was right here.

And it felt so healing:

Lucas had seen the bad moments and had people around him not sugar-coating the reality of living with someone who is bipolar. So, he was going all in, knowing full well it wouldn’t be fun all the time.

(Yet again, does a relationship without ups and downs exist? Mmmmmm)

And then, Eliott went from this in the beginning of the clip:

To this at the end:

“Our sunshine is smiling again! It’s not a drill!! He’s smiling! He’s going to be fine!”

I don’t know about you guys, but that kiss felt like such a relief:

A relief that those two felt a 1000%:

And the fandom could breathe again:

“They’re going to be the death of me. I’m so happy right now.”

The fandom after that scene was very much in this state:

“I don’t have any plans for the rest of the night, right? Press: Rewatch.”

And also, very this:

“GIVE MAXENCE AN OSCAR YOU COWARDS!”

And also:

“When are we getting a clip with Fort Boyard then? I’m so confused!”

No but seriously, I don’t even think I saw ONE negative comment about that scene. The fandom was THRIVING and so, SO pleased with how that scene had turned out.

Because Eliott was able to talk about it with his own voice.

Thank you for that Skam France.

You did so good.

5)�� The Common Room storyline: From Orange Juice to Victory. A thrilling saga (part 2).

I’ll go quickly on that one, I think y’all agree with me on that move.

We knew a common room-related clip was happening on Wednesday because Daphné told us in the second Monday clip:

And she and everybody else advertised it on their socials.

Special mention to that pic for having the BUTT right in the middle:

Because why not, right?

And for once, on a Wednesday with an hour given, they were “on time” (well 7 mins late is a MIRACLE for a Wednesday really).

So.

The clip started with a bunch of students doing a sit-in in the Common Room (or, peak French Culture):

(Lucas was scared apparently)

This guy was like ‘gtfo’ (or as we say in French “oust’ (=shoo)):

But Daphné stood up to him with the support of her fellow rioters:

(And her speech was GREAT)

And then they won so everybody was happy:

(And don’t lie Axel, you were on your tippy toes, we know you)

Moral of the story: Yay for Daphy!

People were a bit ‘meh’ about that clip though, because there was no Eliott in it, Lucas barely did anything, and Basile got a lot of screen-time (I’ll come back to that in a moment… kinda).

The common room needed some conclusion though and it did play an important part in Lucas and Eliott’s relationship: their first meeting, the Kiffance party where they eye-fucked each other, their painting the mural epic adventure, the butts and the big dick imprinted on the mural, them being openly affectionate for the first time in front of their friends, …

So yeah, good job saving that place Daphné, just for the cherished memories it holds.

Special mention to Maxi-moi:

We got that picture on Wednesday afternoon/early evening and the fandom was like “Eliott is wearing Lucas’ hoodie!!!! OMG!”

“Come on, Eliott. It’s your turn! Post a ‘Mini-moi’ picture now! PLEASE!”

Seriously, I saw so many reblogs of this lmao.

6) The clip where Lucas was the fandom and Eliott was Skam France

Now that the common room was saved and ready to see many other people fuck on the couch, wall, or wherever they see fit, the fandom thought the last scene of the episode might happen there.

But then, David said this:

(Trans: Now that we’re leaving the common room for season 3…)

“So where is the last clip happening???”

“Does that mean we’ll get the Fort Boyard clip tomorrow where Daphné calls Lucas to ask if they can party at the flat share? AND THEN WE GET THE ‘Man of My Dreams’ scene?”

Well, nope.

No party at the flat share.

No Ford Boyard, once again.

But we got better.

Much, much better.

On Tuesday, the fandom thought that this Jeudi was bound to be yet another Trajeudi and that the last two clips were probably going to be on Friday.

So, the fandom was very surprised we got anything at all.

And boy, were we SHOOK by what was coming for us.

The clip started with them hugging at the bus stop:

And the fandom Lucas was crying again:

(And that was a whole mood, because we didn’t want to see Season 3 to go either)

“But why is he crying? Where is Eliott going???”

And a few moments later, Skam France Eliott reassured us him:

(Not farewells my ass, but thank you for trying, Skam France)

But before that, Lucas told Eliott they were having a party at the park. So, we finally knew where the final clip was going to happen.

Sadly, Eliott decided to cast doubts in everybody’s mind when he said he didn’t feel like being around people:

And most of the fandom was SURE he was going to show up.

But it was Eliott-don’t-know-if-I’m-going-to-show-up-or-not we were talking about.

So, people were a bit worried still.

Then Eliott wiped Lucas’ tears away:

And kissed him goodbye:

But then Eliott decided to make the bus driver wait:

And when he said ‘Lucas’, the fandom collectively paused the clip.

Because we knew what was coming.

“OMG, it’s HAPPENING!”

And were we ready?

I’m not sure lmao.

And then, then…

Well Eliott said it:

And Lucas said it too:

I remember that debate on the ‘Moi aussi’. Some people were SO CONFUSED by it “Why does he say, ‘me too’ and not ‘you too’? This doesn’t make any sense, right?”

Well… That’s how we say it in France, what can I say?

And Eliott smiled from ear to ear:

And the bus driver finally managed to leave.

What a patient man.

Love that for us.

No but really, the fandom talked about that bus drivers for HOURS after that: “That bus driver is an Elu stan!!” and “Do bus drivers really wait that long in Paris”? (I can tell you right now: HELL NO) also, “Eliott didn’t even pay the bus!!” …

We still joke about drivers waiting to this day.

It’s hilarious honestly.

And our Lucas … was happy:

And the fandom was in HEAVEN.

But I remember, however, how annoyed some fans were that Lucas was crying. Again. They thought he was way too dramatic and that he acted like Eliott was leaving for war.

But way more fans pointed out that Eliott did leave Lucas behind twice and Lucas didn’t understand what was happening with Eliott at the time. Plus, he already had some pretty deep abandonment issues so…

Let the boy cry!

Special mention to Lucas posting this on IG a minute after Eliott’s ‘Je t’aime’:

“Omg Lucas, my heart! You’re so WHIPPED”

And then we got another update:

“Lucas said ‘I love you’ for real this time, I hope we’ll hear him say it in a clip at some point!”

Lmao, we love a good clown.

4) The Last Vendreadi

On this last day of season 3, one thing was for sure, the fandom… Was this:

And Jeremy, that little shit, trolled us one last time:

“WHY? Don’t you think we’re suffering enough already?”

And I think the only thing we wanted from that clip… Was for Eliott to show up… and for it not to be the last clip at all. But only one was possible, so Eliott being there was a MUST HAVE.

Sometime during the afternoon, Eliott posted this:

And I remember people in the fandom being like: “He misses Lucas so much. He’s going to come! There’s no other way!”

The last clip of episode 10, started like this:

This girl invited her 30-year-old boyfriend to come and chill with high-school students:

(Or was he the chaperone? Mmmm)

This guy really wanted a threesome, but was very ‘meh’ about seeing someone else’s dick:

(I still don’t know his name, I blanked it out I think)

So, they puckered their lips like that to blow bubbles to see who’d win:

Those two agreed they would date:

Yann was like ‘sup girl’ when he saw Chloé:

Because the fandom was mostly like … “Okay, I’m not thrilled about them being together, but Basile showed growth and did get much better these past couple episodes… So, I guess we’ll see.”

Then we finally, finally found Lucas:

Who was very happy to see that Eliott came:

The fandom was thrilled too. “Eliott is here! THANK GOD!”

And look at him! He looked so HAPPY too:

And Lucas wanted a kiss when he heard Eliott had counted the minutes since they’ve last seen each other:

- Us hoping for a new cast reaction video … And NEVER getting it.

- Us wondering if Lucas and Eliott were going to move in together at the beginning of season 4 because Lucas was STILL sleeping on the couch.

- Us hoping for Lucas to apologise to Eliott about his comment on ‘Crazy people’

- Us freaking out about Sunday when someone on Twitter started teasing everybody about something HUGE happening at 11am

6) Social media got us well fed that week
