(#5- Fluff part 2)

A/N: This is my second list for Spencer Reid fluff fic recs! And- it’s my first list for my 1500 follower celebration! Some of these will have snippets of angst but are overall fluffy pieces. Most of these are Spencer Reid x Reader and any fics with adult themes will be labeled accordingly but there will not be fics with any full on smut I’ll save that for another list (MINORS DO NOT READ THE 18+ FICS). I keep thinking about Spencer and Penelope spending the holidays together. Just curled up on Penelope’s couch at Christmas in pjs with Spencer following all of Penelope’s traditions because he never really had any growing up and making some of their own. One of which is watching the doctor who Christmas special. Which is Spencer’s favorite cause they usually end up marathoning the show while cuddling and Penelope is warm and doesn’t squirm when his freezing fingers search for warmth.

Penelope’s favorite is making cookies while playing Frank Sinatra Christmas songs on vinyl. She likes looking over while frosting cookies to see Spencer laser focused on the task. That and the not so tradition of seeing Spencer marvel at snow. He hates the cold but every time there’s a white Christmas he loves watching the snow.

Then there are the gifts. Penelope is a master of gift giving. She’s made him several scarves over the years that are the perfect texture that won’t bother him. She gives him a weighted blanket one year and he loves it. Spencer is good at giving gifts but tends to get nervous about it. He got her a vegetarian cook book after hearing that she wanted some more dishes to make. One year he got her an l.e.d keyboard and did tons of research about it beforehand to make sure it would fit with everything Penelope has. And the gift that made him the most nervous was when he knit her a scarf. It’s not perfect but she treats it like it is because it is to her.

One year Penelope puts mistletoe around her place and when Spencer gets caught under it he goes bright red and infodumps about the tradition. Only stopping when he realizes Penelope is right in front of him.

Tumblr keeps screwing up this post, so I'm going to keep this brief, but thank you to everyone who has ever followed my blog, made this page what it is, enjoyed my fics, wanted more, encouraged me, become a friend, understood when I need breaks and been there for me when I'm going through rough times. Thanks for reading my 57 fics, for dealing with my indecisive moments, my constant changing of fandoms and times where I don't talk to anyone. I love you all, and I love this blog and how it's kept me sane.

Underneath the cut, I've created two little events to celebrate this milestone. You can participate if you wish, absolutely no pressure! One's a writing challenge for my fellow fic writers, and one's a request activity. Take a peek if you want, I would love you too.

Choose up to 1 trope and or song prompt, as well as 2 action and or dialogue prompts from the lists below! They will be listed below the REQUESTS section!

Spencer being from Vegas is always cold. It’ll be like 60 and be like 🥺 ‘it’s freezing’. And of course Penelope can’t let her boy genius freeze!! So after an infodump about wired heated blankets Penelope buys him a microwaveable one. It wasn’t a surprise he knew when she asked but he still lights up when she gives it to him. It goes to other precincts with him and if his tummy hurts from too much dairy he sleeps with it. There’s one night where Penelope comes over for a marathon of the most recent season of Doctor Who before the Christmas special comes out and when she opens the door she finds him knocked out on the couch. When she gets closer she sees he’s curled around the heating pad. Which makes her 🥺🥰 and she just curls up on the couch after picking out a book from his library and making a glass of wine. When he wakes up he’s so apologetic but she waves him off cause it’s nice to see he appreciates the gift. And that makes him blush. Another time Penelope is on location with them and can see that Spencer’s getting overstimulated and is touch aversive and she heats the pad up for him and places it on his temporary desk. They don’t say a word because they both know what the other would say but Spencer smiles and presses it tight against his stomach.

I had more thoughts but I got distracted by work so I’m just gonna tag @drreidsboyband and if I think of anything else I’ll reblog it.
