Hello, my name is Cat and even though we're most of the way through January in this post I am sharing with you my top rated TV shows, books and movies of 2022. These are the TV shows, books and movies that I most enjoyed throughout the year of 2022, although for books and movies they did not necessarily need to have been released during that year (for TV I kept it to shows that released a new season or premiered in 2022 in the UK where I live). I was able to narrow down TV shows and books to a top 10 but for movies, it is a top 15 since there were too many that I enjoyed to bring it down to 10 - plus I watched Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery on New Year's Eve after I made the list, otherwise it would totally be on the list.

oh yeah, weekly druk ramblings

why tf is jonbers still there? she has been saved twice and idk why they're keeping her. she isn't gonna win: it's legit btwn cheddar and danny at this point. all signs were pointing to pixie polite's downfall (or start of one) and it has been that, but dakota has been doing...interestingly in the competition. she had 2 wins but like, 2 bottoms beforehand, but i feel like she was cut to make the "robbed queen" narrative even tho she was safe/low...same w peppa!!!

also like...idk jonbers's drag style still...dakota has a clear vision...also she has some variety. girl...

i guess looking at jonbers...it's like, old hollywood meets modern day couture? it looks very editorial, yet messy? idk still

i feel like pixie varies her silhouette a lot (so does danny) but yeah, idk, making her partner look bad did warrant a place in the bottom

bottom should've been pixie and jonbers, but then again, the week that copper topp went home, bottom should've been jonbers and peppa, but i think they did this bcuz they thought copper would dominate the improv challenges and they didn't care for her...

idk. no hate to jonbers, but idk why ru is keeping her around. he loves her so much. i feel like le fil maybe was the scapegoat of the season? but nothing too soon. cuz every season of uk, there was a clear scapegoat and favourite

s1: cheryl scapegoat, baga favoured

s2: tia scapegoat, ellie favoured (although what's wild is that ellie never got a badge). tayce was the sacrificial lamb, as if they needed to get someone out, they threw her in the bottom

s3: charity scapegoat, scarlet favoured

s4: i think rn, it's le fil scapegoat cuz they did not care for him which sucked!! jonbers 100% favoured, she has been saved from the bottom TWICE....girl

Drag race uk or Canada bestie? I don’t think I could pick personally 😭

hard decision because, being completely honest? i hated canada s1 and i genuinely couldn't be bothered to finish the season (it was the production's fault and not any of the queens)

however, canada s2? literally in my top favorite seasons of all time, i fell in love with the cast, and overall the season had much better vibes that make me look back at it so fondly

with uk... i actually don't have that much of an opinion? like, i'll watch it as it's airing (since it's also one of the franchises that airs at a reasonable time for me) and love some of the queens on there but tbh, as a production, i feel that having roople and michelle as judges there ruins most of the fun, since they have to be explained references all the time and whatnot while trying to push their version of drag on the queens...

so i can't truly choose lol i have to see how canada s3 goes to see if it's truly going the right direction or s2 was just its own bubble (kind of how we've seen in druk with s1 being the one where they were still trying everything out, s2 being the golden child, while s3, girlie was messy lol)
