It's always a treat when Iwanaga-san tweets about the Maliks. He memes a lot as Yami Malik too lmao it's fantastic! He also said he ad libbed a scene between the two Maliks, so I'm 👀👀👀👀👀👀 all about that! "The souls of Malik and Yami Malik are one," he says, gosh my heart 😊😊😊

Really looking forward to watch the live duel when it comes out. They're always so fun!

Reading the Batman wiki to get a little more insight on things I've heard about in fandom/figure out what comics I need to read is wild because I just glance through an article and the wildest shit will be dropped with no further explanation.

Why are so many people pretending to be other people? Why is everyone faking their death? Why did the wiki feel the need to specify that the batarangs were shaped like an R?

Reading an overview of all these big plot points in the wiki causes the Benny Hill theme to play in my head as there's a rapid fire jump between He's alive! He's Dead! He faked being dead! He's actually dead! He's not actually dead! He's stuck in the time stream!

I know all of this happened over the course of several issues and much slower with much more detail and weight to it all, it's just a delightful whiplash to read the overview in the wiki lol

#if there's no reason to set a play/opera in the 20th/21st c then don't #I've seen the best operas of past generations Ruined by being set in the '50s for no good reason #in some cases it can be interesting but I think you should be able to justify your choice well #and saying that the story Speak of Always Relevant Dilemmas isn't reason enough. It actually makes a good case for setting it in the past #because then it shouldn't matter When it's set but if the setting's modern it'll be harder to suspend your disbelief imho #like why would two middle class guys in the '50s have a gun duel and have everyone treat it as normal (Eugene Onegin) #plus guns really do not hold up with swords and daggers (biggest pet peeve about NTL Julius Caesar) #it's just ugly #it's a stage!

Onegin is an opera where nothing happens (Tchaikovsky's words. In fact, he insisted on it not being an opera, but lyrical scenes). And that is true - there is no action in the plot. It's all about feelings! And those feelings are intense as conveyed by the music. The whole sequence where the chancellor explains the entire plot in one sitting is insane because he's going on about how a bunch of trading cards can cause the end of the world and everyone is fine with that, they just readily accept the apocalyptic trading cards with zero reaction, and then he reveals the bad guys will seek them out to defeat them in...A DUEL!!! and there's a horror sting and a dramatic reaction shot from every single character. Like that's the shocking part. Instead of how everything in this universe works.

These three magical trading cards will cause the end of days? Passé. A fact of life. Unremarked on. The bad guys want to duel people (in a show where every conflict in the universe is solved by dueling)? AGHAST! IT CANNOT BE!

the unfortunate thing abt the narwhals 4.2 appearances is that both in those kind of dynamic cutscenes and bossfights alike there are set limitations in terms of scale given the model kinda. Has to actively be there moving in game environments . and as huge (& beautiful 🥰) as the narwhal Is even within those (particular props to how the model dimensions warp and get way bigger during the swallowing animation kinda implying how big its Actually intended to be). its also just Not That Massive for a creature whose whose sheer size in lore is p much described as like. genuinely incomprehensible . that casually consumes entire worlds and hosts newborn ones within its stomach. Like its just a Bit tiny for what youd expect (but very cute and stunning!!! With lovely animations!! Dearest)

But that also makes the subject of its Actual In Lore Size very funny bc it lets you kinda. Forget about that aspect for a little bit and then you go back to the 4.1 scene like
