BUT i also have good news

demo is coming friday its just going to be a lot shorter than i wanted☹️

firstly, im so sorry for disappearing. i didn't realize how long I've been gone until I saw just now that the last thing I've posted was on October 17th

But i am back now, and that's all that matters (please agree). Demo is coming Friday, November 17th, but like i said before, it's going to be far shorter than i wanted. I had originally planned to post the first two or three chapters as a little treat since this blog hit 1k followers but last night my laptop decided to refuse to accept my password forcing me to hard reset and wipe it and i lost ALL of the work i had on both embers of hope and shadows of the gun☹️(i was in genuine tears im ngl)

So! The demo will only be the prologue, but i assure you i am working to get back to where i was before. I'll stop myself here before i start rambling. Anyways, I love you and have missed you guys. Feel free to send in any ask if you have any questions or thoughts (or just say hi. ive missed talking to you guys)💞💞

I've also maybe written the start of that shadowhunter/vampire game i was talking about a while ago, and i may or may not be making a blog for it rn. if anyone is interested im 100% willing to answer any questions abt it too🤭

I think my favourite thing about starkid is that the female characters actually feel like characters. I think it shows especially in Della- she's such a messy little gremlin. Usually people would make the self sacrificing female character some sort of holy virgin, but this woman is a disaster, and that's what's great about her. Lex? Poor little meow meow. Steph? Absolute simp. Emma? No thoughts, just weed and dogs. Becky? Wet cat of a human. Even looking at older stuff, like trail to Oregon or twisted, or even me and my dick. Their female characters are just as silly and loveable as their male characters. Is it the bare minimum? Yes, but it's still great.

you guys don’t get it….god i’m crazy about butch lesbians. i have a ring of keys moment every time i look at my phone. seeing butch positivity…butches with style and confidence, butches in love, etc… makes me feel like there is a type of adulthood i could carve out for my life. you know the phrase “I’m going to make a beautiful life for myself, no matter what it takes” yeah 4 me that is intrinsically linked with butchness. One of my favorite little fucked up parts of Worm is during Emma's interlude, where we get to see Taylor before the bullying and she's just... she's a normal kid. She's an endearing motormouth who rambles on and on with excitement, she dresses with super bright and cheery colors, her hair is in a cute style. It's adorable and I never would have expected Taylor to be like that in a million years, because they could not be more different. Post bullying Taylor is efficient and reserved, using very few words when she speaks and never just saying what's on her mind without a care. She always wears dark colors, and doesn't put much care into her appearance because it's a lost cause to her. It's just really damn sad that Emma was able to completely destroy the happy innocent version of Taylor in just two years, and the jaded cynical ness of Skitter is what remained. She can say she's over the bullying and doesn't care about her bullies as many times as she wants, but she's never escaping the fact that she's practically unrecognizable when compared to her kid self.
