OKAY LETS SEE

1) Since it’s on the mind bc of toh—i’m an absolute sucker for found siblings. Of course, i enjoy the found family trope in general and most variations (middleaged character adopting a random ass kid, etc etc) , but when its focus is on siblings? I eat that shit upppp. I mean relationships like luz and hunter, any of the dc families tbh, the rgb siblings (nya lloyd kai), or my ocs keiko and rolin—they scratch a special part of my brain.

Maybe its because i’m eldest sibling myself, and my brother is only two years younger making us pretty close in age, but i just really like sibling relationships and they hit more than parent/child ones for me😭🙏 We don’t always get along, but i’d say we have a pretty strong relationship now

Something about going through the same motions, esp if ur both still trying to find ur place in the world, and knowing you have someone to rely on is just so special to me. Even with blood siblings, it doesn’t really feel like unconditional love at first. Like, you have to choose to be someone who will care and be there for them. Urgh idk it just feels different even though with parents it’s also a choice to care about someone. Like with a parent or guardian, it’s like you want to expect them to have all the answers, but with someone closer to ur age who chooses to treat you like family, it’s like—well we both don’t know what we’re doing but we have each other to lean on.

And the “found” part isn’t necessary but just a nice treat bc i feel like it highlights that Active choosing to care for someone like family. waaah. Like Kai in s1 of ninjago having a whole arc that leads to him leaving behind his own desires to save tiny lloyd, and then literally promising to always look after lloyd after , or luz promising to keep hunter safe bc he’s family now, and then my story with my ocs rolin n keiko is all about them becoming siblings to each other😭 it just makes me feel sooo emotional

also sibling banter 💥💥💥 i feel like u can say more uncalled for shit w siblings

So yeah if you look at my list of faves don’t be surprised if u see a lot of characters who have a significant sibling relationship in their story 🙏

2) Now i dont know if this counts as a trope, but as for fave character type theres usually this One scene that makes me go Oh i love them. and that scene or line tends to go like this: Character up to this point has shown a fun, perhaps confident or carefree personality, but as soon as they’re alone, it’s revealed to the audience they’re capable of feeling so much more. Idk i guess im thinking kon at the campfire, or wukong in lmk specifically always being chill then being serious when he’s alone

3) Also in category of things that make me love a character: slapstick comedy to highlight dorkiness. or honestly just any type of comedy that undercuts a character’s supposed Cool/Importance Factor. 💀 like the amount of slapstick a character goes through has to be proportional to how unaware the character is of their own dorkiness. Im thinking Kai bumping his head while threatening garmadon or bragging about his skills only to get slammed by a tree (or a rock. or a wall. the list goes on.). Or Kon saying he’s fine cuz he can fly only to wham his head when the ship turns and then subsequently get flung around while the ship flies, or slamming his face straight into the ground cuz he’s an idiot.

Or like, Karkat’s whole thing. he’s a walking clown circus. sollux going “do NOT run that computer virus” and karkat ignoring him only for the computer to explode in his face. idk that shit makes me laugh

4) When characters start talking about how they don’t wanna be left behind—it depends on the writing but that usually Hits for me 😭

um i could probably think of more but thats all i got for now

When I started shipping them: we'll just address this whole thing thru a more platonic lens even tho i can also ship them romantically lol. i loved kaoru from her entrance and wanted more and more scenes with her so when yuka befriended her i was really happy. my favorite scene with them is when kaoru graduates <3

My thoughts: kaoru was such an important friend to yuka, who always supported her and wanted to help her. yuka also loved kaoru so much that she left her. and neither of them ever stopped thinking about each other: kaoru thought abt yuka so much that she named her son after a fruit to match yuka's daughter <3

What makes me happy about them: their kids have matching names <3 they found each other again <3 they never forgot about each other <3

What makes me sad about them: yuka cutting her hair after finding out about kaoru's death ;-;

Things done in fanfic that annoys me: lol i have RARELY seen fics where kaoru exists at all let alone where she interacts with yuka. i have nothing to base an answer off of. mostly i just dislike when ppl characterize yuka as negligent or abusive to mikan in fics. i guess i see where earlier fics are coming from, when they were written before yuka's backstory but still. it makes me sad. that has nothing to do with kaoru though

Things I look for in fanfic: if a fic has kaoru and yuka present at once and they interact at all PLEASE drop a link i wanna read

My wishlist: i want to see them as cringe, embarrassing moms <3 they shouldve had the chance ;-;

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: im fine with them not being romantic. it wasnt ever a conviction i had, i just like the idea. i like papa hyuuga for kaoru and shiki is my favorite of yuka's love interests so those options would leave me content.

My happily ever after for them: theyre both happy and hanging out in heaven. if they had both lived, id have loved to see them hanging out and embarrassing their kids <3

Yuka & Luna

When I started shipping them: i always tear up when yuka says "nobody has ever asked me to be their friend before" like they were so cute as kids

My thoughts: i genuinely think their friendship is so realistic. middle school absolutely IS the time when that sort of fall out would occur. and luna's insecurities about yuka not really liking her back make a lot of sense and are sadly relatable. they were each other's first real friend and as a result they were immature about their feelings. the esp manipulated luna and encouraged jealousy in her until she hated her with her whole being. he twisted the facts abt yuka's last night and im not okay with luna's actions at all bc (as ive said before) i hate child abusers. that being said, i start to ugly cry when yuka gets caught in the explosion and luna stops using her alice on the fuukitai so they can help her. no i dont approve of u luna but damn ur good at making me cry

What makes me happy about them: i find it so funny how clingy luna was bc she didnt know how to behave with a friend

What makes me sad about them: i am so sad abt luna cutting yuka out bc she didn't know how to behave with a friend

Things done in fanfic that annoys me: not rly anything for them specifically. luna is such a plot device character in most fanfic so im not rly invested in making sure shes not ooc or anything. ive talked abt luna being used to make mikan jealous (and how shes just stretched and bended to fill a specific role) in all sorts of aus and i genuinely have no problem with it like who else are u gonna use? i get it. ive done it too. ive read it and found it enjoyable. go luna as a plot device! u stole the show in the sports festival <3 but again that has nothing to do with yuka and luna as a pairing lol

Things I look for in fanfic: if an au fic EVER had luna and yuka the same age id be genuinely so shocked.

My wishlist: idk if i could ever expect them to be friends again the way they were before, but it would be nice to see them make amends. though im sure luna's more recent actions, like at the sports fest, might further complicate things

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: i dont ship luna with anybody bc im a reasonable person and she doesnt deserve to be with her groomer/abuser.

My happily ever after for them: it would have been nice if yuka and luna had made up before anybody had to die.

I am so chill and normal about q.smp (has watched/skimmed 5 diff day 1 povs and 2 diff day 2 povs) (i am so not normal about this it's so embarrassing actually bc like i am 10x more obsessed than anyone else i know)

(it's kinda nice tho bc since they're stream vods i can just play in the bg while i do work and don't have to worry much if i tune it out while they're alone)

I get your annoyance if Jason was 12 but in the story wasn't it stated he was 15 and the Titans were twenty. Plus I'm pretty sure it wasn't about any of the titans thinking Jason was anything other than a kid. It was about being a kid and having a crush on someone who rightfully sees you as a kid. Which is a common experience like my first crush was in high school when I was 14 and they were 18 and nothing happened because they saw me as the kid I was.

Theres a difference between a real life child having a crush on someone older than them and talking about shipping a 12 yr old with someone in their 20s.

I feel like u didnt read any of the things i was nothered by bc they were pretty explicit on roy being into jason romantically at least when hes older but it gave me rly gross waiting til their 18 vibes

Jam is a back-alley doctor who presents herself has a helpful sort and willing to do shit usually for free/cheap as long as you agree to her terms. Tho like, 90% of the time she's testing smth experimental she created and most likely ur gonna walk away worse than when u came in. She doesn't rly have any remorse for this cuz she's obsessed with the studies of medicine- she wants to create the perfect medicine and is willing to do anything to reach that goal !

Plus she's kind of an ass and does things on a whim and literally broke up with her bf who treated her SO WELL bc she was bored of him. she was only with him for an extended period bc he was interesting and she was essentially studying him but once that was exhausted she just dipped. He deserves better </3

Aaaand then there's Kazi.

Kazi is. Well he sure is. GKHNGKHKGNHG

I won't go in depth into what he does but he's a serial killer who masks as a famous artist who travels around. I'm not gonna get into it but if you've played "The Evil Within" his M/O is eerily similar to Stefano LOL So you can Imagine how fucked up this guy is.

Very Morbid but a very good artist. In both respects. Tho one takes a "certain kind" to appreciate and sure isn't the majority. Do not condone murder here but making villains is fun GKNHGKHGH my whole thing with him is like, the person next to u could b a killer and you'd never know bc he presents himself in such a way that's very misleading! He's actually quite soft-spoken, kind, and generous but. Well.

as soon as i knew there was some Fuckery going on between law and mingo, i was 👀 because i just. love whump esp law whump and god that dynamic is full of it

doflacora for similar reasons, like. it’s just plain fucked up and i knew i was gonna be into it before i even met roci. regardless of the label on their relationship, their whole dynamic is just So Terrible and Tragic and i am here for it. we love angst in this house

i had a feeling i’d ship coralaw before i even met roci, a couple of my friends were like “UR GONNA LOVE CORALAW” before i’d even read the flashbacks and they were CORRECT

and all three of them started JUST A TAD BIT out of spite bc people being like “this is Bad” or complaining about a ship just makes me curious (tho i actually really genuinely enjoy them aside from the spite and am trying to channel it into positive things instead of just getting upset over people being mean)

What are your favorite things about the ship?

doflaw: the HISTORY they have, it makes for such an interesting and fucky dynamic and i feel like a lot can be done with that

oh there’s so many possibilities. i can Definitely fuck w an idea closer to canon where roci met law in the context of the family, maybe they left together and everything actually worked out okay, and once law got older they came to terms with their Feelings.

but i also like modern aus where they meet when law’s already an adult, like maybe roci works somewhere and law keeps coming back or he’s a teacher or (like i enjoy with every law ship) they meet because roci is injured or smth and law has to do his Doctorly Duties

What was their first impression of each other?

god u know it was not great in canon

i like friends to lovers with them. or like. at least friendly acquaintances to lovers. they get along well (once law gets over,, maybe his initial impression that roci is just a clumsy dumbass) and the other Emotions come later

gjfkdg mingo is Not happy with the arrangement, though i’ve read a couple fics where the family dynamic is a little nicer and he encourages it and i’m into that too

law definitely, maybe he didn’t realize what it was at first because he was just a little kid but it makes more sense as he grows up

YES <3 i am so here for the “oh god i’m old enough to be this persons father i Cannot be attracted to them” trope and that has so much potential with this ship (tho their age gap isn’t actually that big??? what is it like 13 years idk roci can still suffer)

i feel like law would be very >:( about the concept of soulmates and maybe roci would have a crisis but they’d work it out eventually

favorite thing about them:

her goofy/upbeat personality! she’s got so much chaotic energy (she’s the definition of a goblin tbh) & just having her in a little bit of ‘tower of swallows’ & ‘lady of the lake’ made the books such a joy to read. from calling milva and regis auntie & uncle, to her loyalty to the hansa (she was the youngest of the hansa but still chose to go to castle stygga despite the risks), to her more complex side involving her issues w/ abandonment, she’s just a very interesting character & i thank sapkowski for making her so realistic. characters that are playful/funny/comedic relief with a dark or unhappy past are usually my faves & angouleme is no exception.

the fact that her life up until the hansa had been so shitty & awful, but she still chose to be funny & teasing & so full of life... like sure, i’m sure some of it was fake or an ingrained defense mechanism (bc if ur the ‘funny’ one then no one will think of u as a threat, rt? meaning u can be at an advantage if u decide to attack or, simply, it allows u to not be targeted by violence in general), but i also think she enjoyed her time w/ the hansa--that it was probably the most fun she had ever had w/ a group of ppl. & also the first time she really felt like she had found a family, a place in the shape of people that she could call a home... & mean it with all her heart.

tbh her & regis are my faves out of the hansa & it’s a shame she isn’t featured in any of the games or at least mentioned bc i know that she’d be a v popular character if she had been.

least favorite thing about them:

i’ll be honest…….. nothing. angouleme is my daughter & i love her. but if i had to say something…. i guess my least favorite thing abt her is that she’s dead ;v; & that we never get to see her even mentioned in the games.

favorite line:

“Lookie what the cat dragged in.” | i don’t remember if this is word-for-word what she said in the books, but this is a gwent card line & it sounds abt right! it was also a line that i remember regis repeating in the books & i /love/ that he picked up some of her slang :’)

angouleme/milva!! their dynamic is /so/ good. i live for found family tropes & milva acting as an older sister to angouleme is just everything 2 me. i like to think that milva taught angouleme how to use a bow & hunt & kept an eye on her in the midst of battle bc angouleme is so /young/ & up until the hansa, she’s been on her own. milva probably saw a lot of angouleme in her headstrong younger self & wanted to be the adult/friend/family member that she needed when she was angouleme’s age ;v;

i wish angouleme & ciri had been able to get to know each other.... they’re both spunky kids around the same age who look alike. like can u /imagine/ the shenanigans they’d have gotten into? i could see them getting along immediately (& teaming up on teasing geralt lol) & pulling lil harmless pranks on the hansa. 10/10 good dynamic

i also like angouleme/regis bc regis is someone who i think would understand where angouleme is coming from the most tbh. they both had less than stellar ‘rebellious’ phases. angouleme, after escaping from the abusive orphanage w/ some of the other kids before ultimately joining an even worse thieves’ guild vs. regis who basically lead his own plasma gang after developing an addiction to blood & promptly got his ass handed to him by some rando villagers w/ pitchforks. anyway, that aside, regis is all for redemption arcs & after really getting to know angouleme, he becomes enamored w/ the idea of passing down whatever ‘wisdom’ he can abt addiction (esp since it’s implied that she might be addicted or at least dependent on fisstech to some degree), fighting, making alcohol, vampires, etc., so that she’s prepared for /anything/. tldr; angouleme as a protege to regis? good stuff rt there

Igy and perhaps I worded it wrong but I do see it as a bad trend when this type of consideration isn’t applied to gay/het ships. But first and foremost when I was talking about sexual intimacy I was talking about it when they were adults. I do think there is an issue of desexualisation and infantilising in w/w ships. Like whether you even consider it sexually or not (something I wasn’t even necessarily writing about) teens do explore intimacy n shit like that esp when you’ve been told this isn’t even something you can have. Not that I’m campaigning for underage explicit content but find it strange that you act as if healthy depictions of exploration and love can’t be written and that doesn’t just mean people going at it all the time but establishing and setting up intimacy n all. Like ppl don’t just discover deep relationships full of meaning and all the other things that come with it when they’re 18. I do get you but my point was one of frustration and it’s just weird for me that ppl are so set on having w/w relationships as entirely pure when they’re not.

alright obvious spoilers not that it matters bc i have one follower lmao but !! i need somewhere to scream abt this movie

first of all i love jacob and newt so much. best parts of this movie honestly i love them and i want them to be happy

but to be fair i actually rlly rlly enjoyed watching this movie!! like,, there are a looot of things i dont understand about it and i have no idea how they happened or why theyre happening but thats Okay i would still recommend everyone watch it! its so good!!!

good things:

- grindelwald !! i mean,, no hes not a good thing but i really liked how they wrote his character. like i can UNDERSTAND the power he has over people and how hes manipulating them. hes really not just a Voldemort 2.0 and i respect that a lot bc thats not what an entirely different villain should be like. but casting issues and all aside i really liked this

- i also liked the interaction between leta lestrange and dumbledore that was some good stuff and the actors were rlly good too !!! - i like the direction queenie is going in. i mean i dont actually of course but it seems realistic and i think its important and its good character development n stuff so hhh hope that works out later tho !! i am Suspense

- jacob walked into that movie and i was like !!!!!!!!! :DDDDDDDDDDDDD i love him so much and it was rlly nice to see him back even if i dont think it was that neat to have him lose his memory of everything that happened for significance and in this movie have everything go like WHOOMP hes back but i uhhhh loved it anyway so this is not a complaint its a good thing - i still loved newt and having a good main character makes the whole movie a better watch in general. ive seen sequels where i just Cant get attatched to the new characters but wow i didnt really have much of a problem with that here

- it was also never boring and i really just loved n enjoyed this movie a lot!!! okay hhh bad things/things that i personally disliked:

- ive seen different opinions on this but??? what was that blood pact????? what are u doing??????????????? i cant even be coherent properly so here are the main reasons that was rlly dumb

1- w-who does that in a romantic relationship ever :o and yes jkr has literally said dumbledore n grindelwald were in LOVE HELLO feel free to correct me if im wrong on anything but if ur gonna say it u should show it,,,, Continuity Please. anyway separate issue but if u love someone youre not gonna be like “hey lets make SURE we dont fight each other ever” because youll trust that the other person?? isnt gonna fight u???!!!???? im

2- thats literally not the reason he “cannot move against grindelwald” okay like it shouldnt be. this conversation literally happens in dh and dumbledore says he was scared of facing what rlly happened when ariana died!! there was no actual physical thing stopping him!!! the only acceptable justification is that he doesnt want to face this ghosts of his past and that moment and he is SCARED okay so COME ON give dumbledore his faults! hes scared of his past and that IS the reason!!

3- wait how did grindelwald, aberforth, and albus fight if they had already entered a blood pact. like i dont think albus would aim for his own brother EVER but could he even attack grindelwald if they had a blood pact?? not sure how this works lol but who was he aiming for then??? just firing everywhere randomly without intention cause that sounds,,, significantly harder to believe and makes that scene loads messier esp if grindelwald couldnt aim for albus either so

4- the blood pact was so frickin unnecessary im sobbing. like there was the scene where its all like “oh some say you were as close as brothers” and dumbledore is like “oh we were closer than brothers...” and im like OK! the little scene in the air doesnt explicitly reveal anything either so thats ok but the closer than brothers line was rlly revealing for me. at least for like two minutes and then dumbledore looked in the mirror and saw himself making a blood pact w grindelwald. like ok is That what u meant by closer than brothers bc thats what everythings pointing to but it shouldnt be and i.............ugh

5- im honestly just kind of hhhhhhhhhhhh. i can concede that the blood pact might be significant in later films and i look forward to watching them! but. at the same time i. wish that if you were going to say dumbledore was gay it would actually be explicitly referenced in the movie, instead of dancing around that and dropping it in hints and pieces that fans of the series who know this information will understand and others can just dismiss as friendship! there were So Many good places in this movie to include this fact (altho feel free to disagree w me haha) and i think that not including this fact was honestly tiring.

- nagini...........obv this isnt a huge problem bc idk where her story will go next n it might develop n become important but as of rn, i have no idea what her role in this movie is. i wonder if her reappearance in the harry potter series will actually be of significance and if itll be explained how she will end up under servitude to voldemort bc i genuinely dont understand right now. it just seems like a cameo to draw attention in the trailer ghgdjh

- leta lestrange’s death didnt feel right or impactful and im sad . definitely a huge opinion here but it felt like a mandatory character snuff to make the movie sad and ghdsjgfh oh well :(

- little continuity issues?? dumbledore being DADA professor instead of transfiguration bc Boggarts Are Important For Foreshadowing. also how is mcgonagall an adult or actually how is she even alive and um of course the fact that this movie doesnt confirm what jkr has said about dumbledore and grindelwald beforehand.

- im actually going to totally repeat myself bc this deserves a separate point umm why arent dumbledore and grindelwald actually shown as in love with each other as young men. its completely relevant to the movie and its not hard to put it in there instead of the bLOOD PACT (ask anyone irl ive been screaming abt the blood pact ever since i came out of that movie). anyway i know david yates said he wouldnt be including that as part of the movie as fans are aware of that aNyway but its not that hard to understand. people are asking for actual representation?? not smt vague??? because this is just here to Please People. if u refuse to see this ship, ure just gonna see them as having a friendship! maybe u havent heard about what jkr said or maybe ure choosing to ignore it bc,, idk that says smt about u, or maybe another reason idk! but if u go into this knowing they were In Love and hoping to see confirmation of dumbledore being canonically gay, youre going to hear that “oh, we were more than brothers” line and be like oh yeah we been knew, or more seriously like hey! maybe we’re getting a canon confirmation, not just floaty young people leaning towards each other! like when he looked in the mirror i was like okay This Is It this is gna be confirmation but then it wasnt oop. it was the !!! bloooood paaact !!! which means that people could interpret the “closer than brothers” line as meaning oh we done did a blood pact that means we blood related look at us go! 1- AGE DIFFERENCE........apparently dumbledore is like 46 in this movie right?? credence doesnt look over 20. okay percival dumbledore is put in azkaban before albus starts school right?? so the maximum age albus can be is 11. now im gonna say that kendra was not having any more kids w anyone else after that incident fs so the oldest albus can be when ariana is born is 12, leaving room for some other stuff okay. ALBUS AND CREDENCE DONT LOOK LIKE THEY HAVE A 12 YEAR AGE GAP WHAT IS HAPPENINF

ok so first off. I’m white so anyone who wants to come tell me to Delete This Post or just get angry @ me in my notes or dms I 100% understand and will take any and all criticism bc this is NOT my space to speak.

....I’ve seen a lot of VERY VALID TAKES around tumblr abt the Massive Juggernaut Of Violent Racist Culture that is ao3 and white fandom (esp Old White Fans) at large. I hade some thoughts, from the white side of things.

first off:

THESE TAKES ARE 1000000% CORRECT.

I, again, as a white person, dont need to stamp my validation on it, but im stating this loudly up front so that hopefully a few ppl might read further:

I’ve been aware for a long time of phrases like “cancel culture”, “censorship”, “puritanism”, “Fandom Is Free!!!” etc etc etc used by, to be honest, 90% or more of white fans to justify VIOLENTLY RACIST WORK and gaslight, and more often than not threaten, fans of color who speak up. White Women Tears, it’s an old ass trick.

HOWEVER

and here’s the However:

The fans who do this, while absolutely racist scum.... had this “argument” handed to them on a silver platter.

by who???

by younger white fans.

because none of these Older White Fan fuckbags or their opinions could have kept the amount of respect, credibility, and loyal puppy-dog followers they have without the new growth of Younger White Fan fuckbags who don’t just go out of their way to equate their NOTP being canon with Actual Racism/ Homphobia/Pedophilia/ ACTUAL HATE CRIMES ON THE LEVEL OF KILLING REAL HUMAN PEOPLE, but ALSO

1) ignoring the role of the CREATORS of bigoted/harmful work and going after fans, who, while absolutely complacent in a fandom by participating in it... did not MAKE it

2) deliberately refuse all attempts by others outside their cults to find common ground

and 3) actively campaign for censorship of huuuuuge swaths of fan content that centers queer themes, kink, or is made by older fans, EXPLICITLY BY EQUATING THIS CONTENT TO ACTUAL PHYSICAL ACTS OF VIOLENCE

....all while having blm banners, ACAB in their bios, rt-ing fundraisers and absolutely not donating to them, donating to joke kickstarters to kill random fans, and not so jokingly calling the cops, fbi and swat teams, and sending death threats, doxxing, attempting (laughable dumb) acts of terror, and arguing for vigilante and STATE BACKED VIOLENCE against those same fans.... who, guess what, are ALSO VERY LIKEY TO BE BIPOC.

I can NOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH. saying “white fans, as a whole, and ESPECIALLY the ao3-supportive community, are active in maintaining a racist community and defend themselves by crying ‘Censorship Puritans & Death Threats Oh My’” is true. but it ignores the growing community of Im-Not-Racist-I-Have-ACAB-In-My-Bio YOUNGER white fans who are more than happy to hand that argument to the “Olds” ready to use by lumping Deeply Set Systemic Racism in with “My Fav Is OOC In This One Fic :(...”

because two groups of white people who claim to hate each other, are actually, consciously or not, working in perfect tandem to prevent any change to fandom’s racial bigotry.

BUT THE SAME IS TRUE FOR THE YOUNGER WHITE-DOMINATED FAN SPACES THAT HAPPILY THROW MINORITIES, ESPECIALLY BIPOC, TO THE WOLVES FOR THE SAKE OF ESCALATING A FAKE WAR, OVER FAKE PROBLEMS, WITH THE WHITE FANS FOUR YEARS OLDER THAN THEM.

I am not going to pretend I know how to solve this. All I can say is that anyone saying “well of COURSE The Olds are Racist they support The Bad Ships(tm)”.... shut the fuck up you’re doing the same shit from a different blog theme.

...And, in my opinion??? Outside of some VERY specific scenarios that make themselves VERY obvious, the combination of Shipping and Race into a singular “Fandom Discourse” is an obviously white supremacist idea that equates real human suffering with cartoons having sex. so like. if I have any advice?

Keep Actual Racial Issues out of shipping wars, and keep shipping wars out of Race Based Criticism. YES this also includes the anti/proship BS too. If you consider a ship so tied to race/bigotry/racial caricature that the two cant be mentioned separately? mayyyybe thats not the best ship to use as ammo for P3d0 accusations and death threats agains That One Community You Dont Like.... unless.

Don’t be an idiot and not go through with the wedding with Natsuo! Just Love and Marry him !! Hina already knew her place after Natsuo promised to be with you and you having his kid on top! Like, if Hina wasn’t in such a vegetative state, she’d slap the hell out of you and tell you it’s ok to be happy !!! Uuggh, I just wanna see Hina wake up so she can be happy with someone else (which we probably won’t see in the manga at this point. Feel she’s gonna do a self love journey or something ).

The first paragraph is just bullet point of shipping; second paragraph is me not promoting antiHina .If you wanna skip it go to third paragraph that has a bold sentence. Might make a future post on domestic na kanojo ships when series is over.

I don’t ship RuixNatsuo but I respect that they’re together . It is what it is ; I won’t bash shipping cuz I do kind of see how and why they ended as a couple just not 100% liking or maybe understanding the shipping yet. My ship ? Yes i do like HinaxNatsuo that’s my ship and I don’t care about “taboos” in the series because 1. It’s fictional ppl so the mangaka can write whatever they want - sometimes sadly (and y’all have read worse manga taboos-and hentai. I do read posts of antiHina saying she’s a bother . But hello, she’s Rui sister. She’s gonna butt in. If she was like a regular stranger then yes but she isn’t. And Hina is only human . Cuz she’s older, she needs to be an adult . And being the adult she is , she did backed off for Natsuo and her sister sake. Her flaw (which is also a strength that can improve ) as a character is that she holds everything in and will do everything alone (even for the one she loves) because shes older than Natsuo, because she’s Rui older sister and because she’s an adult to her mom and society’s eyes. And y’all can’t just ridicule her for still having feelings for Natsuo. She was in a messed up relationship with her teacher (the messed up part being he was married while they were together and being indecisive because of their age -no lie he started this shit up) and was a bit of an outcast in school. She even tried to make Natsuo hate her even before they became a couple. But Natsuo didn’t back away from Hina even though he would confuse her at times since Rui and him had that moment in Ch. 1 and that kiss in his room awkward. Adding, she had a stalker and Natsuo saved her ! Like , not most ppl would jump in front of u to save u. So; I honestly , give Hina a break by not calling her derogatory names. You don’t have to like her but don’t say she’s a bitch stealing Rui’s man. Natsuo fell for Hina first in a romantic way and later with Rui and Hina hasn’t used any deceptive methods to steal Natsuo. Plus, the girls agreed to “win his affections.”

ANYWAYS !!! Coming back to main the topic at hand . Hopefully if you read last paragraph , as much as it might contradict what I’m writing , I don’t want to see Hina with Natsuo. Especially because of what’s happening rn. Because if Hina wakes up to know Rui broke off the marriage just cuz Rui felt guilty after seeing the rings and overhearing Natsuo and Kobayashi talking , she’ll be upset and knock Rui to her senses (honestly I want Hina to slap Rui). Hina wouldn’t want to be with Natsuo out of guilt. She would want to be with him if it’s from the bottom of his heart. But Hina and I both know , esp with everything that has happened in the series , they won’t be happy together. Natsuo will choose Rui. Even before the accident he was upfront about it and Hina understood. And it’s heartbreaking esp Hina held onto mementos of their moments together ! It’ll take time for her to heal and this is what I hope: I hope for her to wake up, for NatsuoxRui to marry overall and for Hina to move out of the house again and take time away from her family and come back one day with a smile on her face and with someone else. Someone who can make her happier , provide for her like protecting her and to have her open up to them (saying that she doesn’t need to do anything alone and it would be even better if they can give her a hand without asking or waiting for her to do it ). Because there’s an important saying for couples that people should know (esp with ch 272):

You can’t build your happiness upon the happiness of someone else - Married Life (old movie forgot the year ).
