Is more than PERFECT when it comes to spending time with your guys’ toddler. He has the most simple yet enjoyable ideas for activities that he spends time on preparing for the family. Practically inseparable from your guys’ toddler, he just can’t ever get enough. Managing time is his thing, he always makes sure he won’t be gone for too long so that his kid wouldn’t have to miss him. Isn’t usually the type to do so for no valid reason, but once he fell in love, he quickly got accustomed to this kind of “curfew.” One time, he said he was just going on a walk, but came back with a huge lego set & spent the entire night assembling it along with your guys’ toddler.

Is GENUINELY trying his best, but is quite clueless the more you think about it. He doesn’t really have much experience but is learning more & more throughout your toddler’s growth. He’s doing everything he can to ensure you & the toddler are happy. He be doing that good research across reliable and good sites online. Likes to teach your guys’ toddler lessons and skills. This guy is definitely the type to make sure you’re toddler has many skills despite his age. They spend a good amount of time with the family and the best activities they can offer is playing with your kid, whether there’s a good lesson involved or they’re just spending time with one another.

Kwak Jibeom, Kwak Jihan, Johan Seong

Is beyond QUESTIONABLE when it comes to just spending time your guys’ toddler. He isn’t sure what the hell he’s even supposed to do with the weird looking kid. Activities? What activities? He’ll be back home at any time of day he’d like, or not, one or the other. Doesn’t even understand how the hell he got to be a dad in the first place. He is the father, you’re both sure of it, but he is no figure. 💀💀 He’s a lost cause, and he wasn’t planning on starting a family any time soon. Well, your both still young and he’s got other shit planned, which is also why he only sees them as little gremlins that needs to stay as far away as possible from him. Maybe, just MAYBE, with time, he’ll grow closer to your little family and improve.

He literally offered to be the FIRST to ever change your kid’s diaper. They were pretty hesitant to actually do it at first, but they did some researching in advance so that they could nail it and impress you. You guys usually alternate, and he’s already become an expert at changing diapers.

He would love to help you or to even learn, and he has tried by watching from afar. But by merely watching, he already thinks he should stay away from doing this the best he possibly can do so. You got him to help you out once— PURPOSELY leaves or makes some lame excuse just to get out of doing it ever since.

Kwak Jihan, Goo Kim, Jace Park, Warren Chae, Zack Lee, DG, Johan Seong

He really wants to be a big help, which is why he keeps trying again and again. Carefully watches how you learned to do it and tries his very best to do the EXACT thing you taught him. Sadly, he keeps failing or just straight up making an even bigger mess. Despite this, he keeps trying his best to help in doing so.

Vasco, Kwak Jibeom, Warren Chae, Sinu Han, Jake Kim, all of big deal ngl, Jay Hong, Johan Seong (?)

Help? What Help? There is NO way this man would agree to do such a thing or worse, volunteer to do so😹😹There’s gotta be something so extremely special about you and your kid for him to even consider it 😭 But other than that, this man will not be changing a single diaper, their ego is too high for that 🤗

Eugene Yoo — I got asked this four times so this will be the last time I answer this : D

Emotional intelligence but not emotional manipulation. He is cynical by nature and any attempt to control him would get noticed immediately. Whether he told you that or not is another matter entirely. Maybe he’d continue your act to amuse him.

Genuinely, he wants someone on the softer, sweeter side of the spectrum. A nurturing personality would be nice, someone empathetic and obedient.

You should be able to understand his line of work without interfering with what he’s doing. It’d be nice if you’re mature enough to understand that he wants you to stay away from all of this for your own good.

Park Jonggun — This one isn’t easy to narrow down and I struggle with typing him often. He wants someone with enough independence to function without him much of the time. Ambition is a must, wouldn’t make sense with his character otherwise.

A shrewd and calculating personality is great but you must also at least have some levels of integrity.

You need to have a high level of pride, but not to the point where you are blind to any flaws you possessed. In fact, it’s more attractive if you are aware of them and work to amend them. Knowing the holes in your plans is a great attribution to anyone with a grand design after all.

And, yes, the will and the ruthlessness to accomplish what you set out to do.

Kim Joongoo — A fellow nerd. He likes that you can understand the references he made, and even if you don’t, you’re receptive to learning. Having the patience for his fun and giggles is a must, otherwise, there’s no point.

A high level of energy would be nice, but it is not a necessity. However, you should match his level of spontaneity, or else it’d get tiring really fast for you.

Joongoo is very fast-paced and he slows down for almost nobody. Taking him seriously all the time is the sure-fire way to make things boring. Just enjoy life, don’t think too hard about it unless you’re talking about profit.

Oh, yep, yep, someone morally shrewd and conniving will be great but has to be one who’s on his side. He likes having someone who can scheme and be evil with him.

James Lee — Someone who counterbalances him nicely in terms of personality and ability. It’d be nice if you’re fun to tease but it isn’t a requirement.

He likes that he can have you give it to him straight without messing around, but not too serious to the point where you can’t make a few wisecracks every now and then. He likes a sense of humour that’s like fine wine, you’re meant to savour it not chugging it down like an energy drink.

You’re probably on the quieter side, but not to the point where you can’t hold a conversation with him. Some confidence is a must, he wouldn’t be attracted otherwise.

Intelligence is also very, very appealing in his eyes. Seeing you show your smarts just makes him want to undress on the spot.

💗 How do they show affection

Eugene Yoo — He doesn't have a lot of free time, which makes whichever time he has for you infinitely more precious. Often, he tries to make those occasions special, either a fancy dinner, a night out, or a weekend trip to somewhere relaxing.

During these times, he actually likes listening to you talk about your day and whatever going on with your life. You'll find that he avoids talking about his work, but he listens attentively to whatever troubling you and offers a helping hand if you needed.

You can see his affection in the fact he actually listens to you and keeps notes of what you like and dislike. Whatever going on with your life, even if he has a packed schedule of his own, he does keep track of it. Every now and then, he brings up something you once mentioned to him that is relevant to the moment.

You'd be surprised by how thoughtful he can be because this also means he memories your preferences pretty well. This often manifests in the gifts he sent you. Not often enough to make it annoying, but always outstanding enough to make it memorable.

Park Jonggun — One would think how much he splurged on you is his way of showing affection. Quite wrong. There’s little love in how he spends money, whether it’s on you or on him.

In fact, materialism for him feels extremely clinical, like how one does surgery to change an “imperfection” on their body. It only adds to improving his appearance and status. If there’s anything which expresses his affection, it’d be how he does the small things for you.

He has a way of making you feel doted on. Even if you didn’t ask him, a lot of things he does for you happen so smoothly you didn’t even get the chance to register that it was… surprisingly chivalrous of him.

He always angles the umbrella over to your side more, trades shoes willingly when your heels hurt and hold your bag and jacket without reservation.

If you can count on him doing the gentleman thing for you, then he indeed cares about you. The treatment of a Queen for a Queen.

Kim Joongoo — Incessantly pestering you about anything and everything because whenever he learns something new, he immediately thinks of you. He's very self-absorbed so the fact he thinks about you alone is pretty outstanding on its own.

He also spends a lot of time around you, making the two of you almost an inseparable couple. If he's not around Jonggun doing something sketchy, he's likely with you doing something sketchy. Or, you know, watching anime, reading manga, spending time together.

Outside of that, he really likes to drag you out with him and go on adventures! Whether it's to play sports or video games together, or going shopping and attending events, it doesn't matter!

Long as the two of you are having fun together, he's content. Seeing how happy you are with him is definitely a bonus point.

James Lee — Once upon a time, he teases you to show affection. Nowadays, however, he does the same but with a little bit more maturity to it. He normally keeps quiet about everything, but when it comes to you, he can’t help but get a bit smug and sardonic.

You make it too easy, sometimes. Even if you don’t retort back, your reaction is always amusing even in the way you deadpan at him. He thinks it’s really cute.

Outside of that… it’s the time you spent together. You’ll see he has a very packed schedule and often doesn’t get to stay home. Even when he does, there’s always something to do that prevents him from relaxing. Whatever spare time he has outside of that, it’s all yours.

You might not get to do a lot of romantic things together, but long as he’s around you, his stress level drops by half. How much he seeks you out portrays the depth of his affection for you.

Men of Lookism: Bathhouse Meeting Part 3... with Guests

Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 4: Women of Lookism

What is this, a crossover episode?

As more naked bodies file in, the tension could be cut with a knife.

The establishment was supposed to close off the bathhouse for the rest of the night. Any further admittance being strictly forbidden. This has never happened before, there must be some scheduling mistake.

Even with the fights and squabbling breaking out from before, the easy air was no longer.

All eyes are on the men entering.

Recognition dawns.

Turns out, they are not out of place here.

Gun Park makes the first move.

"Warai Oni," he bows, "We finally meet."

Baek Seongjun returns the greeting with reverence, "Shiro Oni."

"The fuck is wrong with your eyes?" A rude voice cuts through.

"Taehoon!" Yoo Hobin scolds under his breath, elbowing him swiftly in the stomach. He'd much rather face the wrath of Taehoon, who would likely just kick him a few times, than the infamous Gun Park, who would probably murder him. "Don't you know who that is?!"

"Why the fuck would I know?" Seong Taehoon does indeed throw a kick at Hobin, who manages to jump out of the way in time. How dare that little asshole elbow him.

"That's Gun Park!" Snapper is practically vibrating with excitement to be in the same place as him. "He was voted most popular by a fricking HUGE margin!"

Gun smirks at the last part but of course his partner comes to rain on his parade.

"So what? His eyes are freaky, aren't they?" Goo Kim teases, materialising next to Taehoon and resting his head on his shoulder. "He's so ugly."

"Get off!" Goo pouts as Taehoon pushes him away.

"Hey," Jason Yoon nudges Johan Seong, "There's that Taehoon. Do you think we should say hi?"

Johan doesn't bother to look, making a move to get out of the water anyway. "Whatever. Any crossover was years ago."

"So what's your backstory?" Baek Hangyul asks the man sitting to his right.

"Nothing interesting," Jinho shrugs. "I'm just crazy."

"Same." Hangyul smiles at him, having found a kindred spirit.

Seo Haesu studies the menu on the wall, mind never too far from food, and wondering what he should eat next.

"Hi," he greets the guy now next to him, eyes also scanning the menu.

Johan looks over and nods.

"Welcome to the Sad Boy Simp Club!" Ryuhei throws his arm around Kim Munseong.

"Sup," Zack Lee says, joined by Xiaolong and Warren Chae.

"I... guess that's me." Munseong grimaces, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Can I join?" Wangguk overhears, thinking that he deserves at least an honorary membership.

Confusion paints Munseong's face. "I thought you and Rumi...?"

"Sort of. It's all very rushed. No one's satisfied-"

Xiaolong suddenly breaks off from the group "Sorry, excuse me!" having spotted someone in the distance.

Ji Yeonwoo feels strangely exposed as he walks nude into the room. Not that he's shy, but he feels vulnerable. Like someone is constantly watching. He heads for the water as quickly as he can, wanting to cover up.

Mangi relaxes in the water as Yeonwoo settles next to him.

Two bald heads belonging to Jerry Kwon and Brad Lee catches his eye. He smiles to himself, comforted by the sight of his bald brethren.

A set of doppelgangers meet up.

"Baek Seongjun!" Xiaolong calls out. The other blue haired man smiles politely at him.

"I'm sorry for stealing your design," Xiaolong, contrite, executes a 90 degree bow.

"Don't worry," Seongjun dismisses any concern or ill-will, "It's not your fault. Besides, I'm dead."

From afar, Eugene keeps a close eye on Yeonwoo, observing him from the moment the latter walked in. Almost a doppelganger of his own if his growth spurt would kick in and if he could put on 30lb of muscle.

Goddamnit. He wants a glow-up too.

— theoretically, eugene would have a leash on his child's development, more on the older years than the earlier years. in practice, however, it's the opposite. he likes to indoctrinate them young so that they'd become more compliant with him in the future.

when they're old enough to think for themselves, they'd have been gaslighted by him for so long that they'll become perfect tools for him. moulded and raised by his own hands.

&. even his own children don't have unconditional trust in him until they've shown undying loyalty either. he has met too many opportunistic and greedy bastards in his times, but he wouldn't fall for it simply because there's the promise of flesh and blood.

&. he's kind and firm on the surface. always sweet and genial, it makes his children love him without question. he knows better than to rule them with fear, he can but he wouldn't. fear inspires betrayal when cowardice overwhelms reasoning. not love, however.

love would make one die for another willingly.

&. while he spends more time away at work than at home, he does leave time aside to spend with his family. it's both soft and calculated. stay close enough to establish a deep connection, but distant enough for them to crave proximity.

&. yes, he has thought of it every step of the way, but he has chosen this life for himself. to complain about it would be pointless. he shows a bit more care for the child with business interests, but he takes care of the one who has taken up other interests all the same.

&. after all, even if they cannot become a pawn for him, then at least they'd become a source of comfort to him like you did. family can be a safe harbour when everything else stresses him too much. he keeps you all secret and protected, but that's only because he cares.

&. he upholds his children to different standards depending on their role in his life. he's much more of a boss than a father to the ones working for him, but he does show moments when he's almost fatherly. he can be extremely protective should the situation requires.

&. his children never have to ask for anything, but they would never be allowed to become spoiled. just because they have the good living conditions that he got them doesn't mean they can get away with everything. he actually taught them all to live in moderation and means. only people with something to prove have to be flashy.

&. aside from private school education, his children also have various tutors assisting them with other extracurriculars. all of the friends they have are usually vetted by his people before he allows the friendship to deepen. no one can say eugene doesn't care, it's just that his care is extremely controlling <3

&. on the flip side, he never raises his voice at his kids, and never gets mad at them, even when he's the one who handles the disciplining. he has a way of inspiring them to get in line without exerting himself. in the aftermath, he does get gentler with them. he's only like this because he's worried, see?

Theory of YooJin[Eugene] backstory. + Jungoo[Goo Kim]

I had a thought what if YooJin is a golden spoon and was bullied back then. As you can see on the previous chapter(402), Janghyun/Eli Jang hit YooJin once to the ground, and YooJin was still be able to get up like it was nothing. Nice durability;

1. He actually can fight and was trained. He never really shown that he has ever fought back yet, but it is possible that he doesn't like fighting anyone physically.

2. He was bullied.chapter 352;

Somehow this convince me he was a lonely kid.

he looks like a person who doesn't like to fight back and that's one of the reasons why yoojin was easily bullied in the past. often beaten probably increases his durability.

3. In the past, he has friends but experienced betrayal which gave him trust issues. When Yoojin said " I'll never find myself friends like you guys again. " it could be meant as loyalty.

How did YooJin met Goo and how their history started?

It Vasco/Euntae lee backstory arc, there was a panel that Goo gets paid to beat up people. Chapter 55-56;

The "circada" guy did mention that Goo was his distant cousin the same age as him.

It appears Goo has done the same thing for more than once.

If the theory of YooJin backstory him being bullied was true, there's a potential that YooJin used to hire Goo to fight the bullies. Perhaps that's when their history started and all.

Recently, I’ve found myself loving media wherein romance is only considered a subplot but is also what keeps the watchers hooked for the next episode and the one that comes after that. ‘Mr. Sunshine’ would be one of those shows.

‘Mr. Sunshine’ is what I would consider the most well-produced Korean Drama I have watched so far. Based on both facts and fiction, the show tells a moving story of a romance that blooms between a noblewoman and an American Military officer as they plot to prevent a dark scheme on the country's colonization at night.

L-O-V-E

There is complete intimacy between Kim Tae-ri and Lee Byung-hun’s characters despite the lack of skinship found throughout the show. Being a noblewoman and an American, Lady Ae-sin and Eugene keep their progressive friendship a secret from the public eye, not only as lovers but as members of a militia called The Righteous Army.

The transition between Ae-sin’s innocence to her full knowledge of what the English word “love” means and feels was like watching the process of an artist starting out with a clear image in their head, making a mistake, and then having a completely different story sold twice more than the original worth. Ae-sin asked a single question and received several answers.

Choi Eugene, episode 6 of 'Mr. Sunshine'

One boat ride between the noblewoman and “her wherryman” and the contrast between the world’s then-current tragedies and killings made you understand the experience of how quiet the world could be. The moment that peace was taken away, you suddenly find the desire to have stayed there forever, rowing on and on and never continued watching.

HISTORY AND TV

Apart from being what I consider the most well-produced K-Drama, ‘Mr. Sunshine’ is also the most diverse I have encountered so far. Despite so many characters and stories to follow, screenwriter Kim Eun-sook was able to build it all together at a compact pace without letting you feel it was too heavy or difficult to keep up with.

If it’s my fate to survive everything only to die in your hands, then I should.

‘Mr. Sunshine’ was able to have you appreciate its second leads rather than feel completely angry or sorry, as most dramas intend to do. The application of history added to each character’s depth and complexity makes you ponder on life’s ways.

Do you know what the first thing I did after coming to Joseon was? I let everyone know that I was a runaway son of a butcher. Unlike my father, I was able to cut anyone down.

Gu Dong-mae

It was difficult to convince myself that I hated Gu Dong-mae because I didn’t. And it was not only because of his love and help towards the Lady Ae-sin, but for the way his character was structured and written.

The obvious display of different social classes and power led me to think of all the real lives and years lived by people and ancestors, and how so little society has come to change. Similar to ‘Pachinko’, both historical dramas depicted the realities of Korea’s turning point in history and lets you compare it to the present world.

GLORY AND SAD ENDING

This show made me think of several could-have-beens yet somehow never made me choose an alternate ending over what was already provided, despite Eugen and Ae-sin’s absolute deservedness of a peaceful life full of loving each other.

Will our final destination be somewhere between glory and a sad ending?

If I had to choose between those two words to describe this ending, I’d rather see it as a glorious one. An ending where two people's love for each other was able to help thousands of the Nation. An ending where Go Ae-sin was able to live and succeed as what she had always wanted to be — a flame that burnt brightly and wilted.

And one day, we can be walking on a street we’re familiar with and go all the way to New York, where you used to live.

I like to think that among the several worlds in the universe, Eugene and Ae-sin walk hand in hand in one of them, far from the cries of their dying nation.
