within the context of byler fights, i see a lot of people say that mike is short-tempered and like while that may be true i feel like will is even quicker to just... snap. like, he gets very emotional very quick. in their fights, mike's voice stays pretty constant and even, but will's quickly starts getting watery, loud, pointed, cracking, etc. he speaks from his chest. his tone goes up and down. he uses his hands a lot. his eyes are wild and wide and boring into mike, challenging him almost. he pokes at mike. still, mike doesn't escalate; he matches will's hurt with his own, but he doesn't outwardly burn quite as hot. not with him. i just.. idk. i think it's interesting. will's anger is often overlooked or outright ignored in fandom, but it's very clearly there.

#i just think of the rink o mania fight n the rain fight n also tht 'freak' talk he had with jonathan in s2 #and like yeah mike is immediately squaring up with literally everyone else going from 0 to 100000 #but with will? that does NOT happen. the most tht he snapped was during the rain fight when he was mean n raised his voice #but even then it wasn't as strong as how will was yelling. it was very obviously just a reflex and he IMMEDIATELY backed down #and reeled it in. and in the rink o mania fight he's not speaking to him in a warm tone but it's when will says i waSNT bEINg a DOUCHE in #tht emotional tone tht mike matches it but again it's the same story #he's not reaching will's level of rage and he doesn't even FLINCH or MOVE when will touches him #when it's them in their own little world mike controls himself n will is the one tht burns bright n hot #like. he's not ur uwu soft boy !!!!!!!! he gets Big Mad!!!!! he uses his hands he pinches his face he gets attitude he pokes n jabs!!! #in literally every other scenario will is the 👀 to mike's 🤬 #but when they're arguing with each other it's mike's 😐🥺😟🫤😢 to will's 😒😤🤬🫵🗣 #when it comes to will mike routinely backs down and deescalates and goes to make it right afterward #n if they come away still angry with each other then he keeps it to himself in the sense tht its not an all out war situation like w max #like idk. i just think it's interesting to think abt. #byler #mike #will #byler thoughts #if this goes in the tag i'll jump bt i want this in my own tags </3

hello!!! i was checking the ages on the bt wiki and doing calculations. i found that tigerstar is 9 moons older than spotted + willow + red. he would have been a warrior by the time they were apprenticed

if this is a calculation error, how much older was tiger (and by extension, whitestorm) compared to the other apprentices in frosted thistles? or did he get held back?

i havent looked at my horrible timeline notes in a while (warrior cats canon makes it SO HARD! Spottedleaf's Heart has SO many age inconsistencies with the main books timeline-wise!)

but this is the note i left on the wiki so-

Tigerstar was made a warrior at 14 moons old which. is 1 moon off from his age (being 9 moons older than Spotted+) so who knows lol

but generally it is noted in Frosted Thistles I believe that Tiger and White were only apprentices with Spotted+ for about a moon before they graduated

really the main point is that Tiger in BT stayed behind to be made a warrior alongside Whitestorm (which Thistle "allowed" of his apprentice bcus he encouraged the two to be close since, y'know, it was his apprentice and his son and he wanted them to be besties therefore)

and also that Tiger and White are older than Frost, Brindle, Spotted, Willow, Red, but still in the same 'generation'

the worst part abt working in a hair salon is the constant temptation to do crazy shit to ur hair but also having the knowledge that it'll fuck it up. cuz no matter how safely you try to dye your hair it's still chemicals and it's still damaging no matter what u do. but oh my god i could easily just ask one of my coworkers to give me a super fuckin bright vivid hair color and they COULD DO IT which wouldnt be smart considering i just went darker like two months ago but ugh. ur welcome! i used to be like frequently aggravated about it in like 2020-2021 when i was first getting into kpop as an online communal activity instead of just music i like and those fandom narratives were unavoidable everywhere i go. looking back i think it was p immature of me to get so worked up about something like that on like a weekly basis so i don't rly think about it anymore but when ppl bring it up to me directly it's still genuinely annoying.

trying to put my hater era behind me and i was generous with these last asks about it but it's genuinely an issue that actually has big ramifications because of how bts is the biggest economic force in the industry. and it affects people in every level of just trying to enjoy kpop. and the huge fandom's narratives shape how people not interested in korean media at all see it and it just makes me defensive because there's so much genuine fun and artistry in kpop as a relatively young art form and it's feeling like that aspect is disappearing as a direct result of bighit's success. so much of this is politicized too in ways that make korean diaspora specifically feel insane and confused and kind of gross. and i like to keep things honest on this blog because after looking at the context i think i now understand why.
