The Apple Years Feature - George Harrison
So far as I can tell this kaleidoscopic journey through George's discography from 1968 to 1975 isn't available to watch anywhere online, so here it is!
Originally only available on the bonus DVD included with The Apple Years box set in 2014.

George Harrison, 1975; photo by Robert Ellis.
“My dad’s favorite number was 7, and a lot of things that he did were according to the number 7, whether he meant it or not. That was the highest honor I could have given a track on the album [Brainwashed], to put it track 7.” - Dhani Harrison, Brainwashed EPK
Track no. 7 series: “Can’t Stop Thinking About You” —
George Harrison: “That one I wrote at Christmastime two years ago also. And I was just sitting round the log fire. That song could be, I would see as somebody like Joe Cocker singing that one. It’s a very commercial sort of song. It’s also a bit like — the middle part kills me, it’s like, I don’t know what it is, I have this tendency to make sort of dramatic or melodramatic melodies. And that one is like there’s a song on Material World also which always makes me think it should be sung by somebody like Al Jolson or Mario Lanza. [chuckles] It’s a funny, interesting melody.” Q: “The vocal on this one almost reminded me at first of some of Bob Dylan’s things.” GH: “In that track?” Q: “The beginning.” GH: “Oh, that’s my impersonation of John Lennon. [laughs] Yeah, it was hard to sing that first chorus, I tell ya.” - Extra Texture promotional interview, 1975 (x)

george harrison’s discography rated by me [part 2/4]
4) living in the material world - 1973
the spiritual theme songs are still there. i see george trying to find himself in this album, fighting between the mundane/imperfect and the spiritual world. a beautiful continuation for all things must pass.
⭐⭐⭐/5
5) dark horse - 1974
good pop songs. different theme songs. sometimes confusing. i didn’t love it, but i didn’t hate it either, far from that. the album cover is ugly.
⭐⭐/5
6) extra texture (read all about it) - 1975
sad songs. too much keyboard. that was a depressing period in george’s life and you can see that in this album.
⭐⭐/5

George Harrison’s Extra Texture (Read All About It) (released on 22 September 1975) was his final Apple Records album.
Musicians included Jim Keltner, Carl Radle, Klaus Voormann, Nicky Hopkins, Leon Russel, Gary Wright, David Foster, Jim Horn, Tom Scott, and Jesse Ed Davis. Produced by George. Art direction by Roy Kohara.
“It’s always a very emotional matter [to listen to George’s music]. When he recorded the album ‘Extra Texture,’ I was there with him.” - Olivia Harrison, translated from Spiegel, 17 October 2014
“Three tracks on Extra Texture cover the same lyrical terrain as ‘Simply Shady’ on the previous album Dark Horse. ‘Grey Cloudy Lies,’ George confided, ‘was in the naughty period, 1973-74. It’s one of those depressing four o’clock in the morning songs.’ ‘World Of Stone’ speaks for itself: ‘Wise men you won’t be, To follow the likes of me.’ ‘He was being very hard on himself at that time,’ Olivia reflects. ‘Tired Of Midnight Blue’ - he talked about that particular night we went out. He said, “You go into the back stage area and then there’s another room - the back, back room... and then you wish you’d stayed home.’ But I like that song. Leon Russell came to play the piano part and it was great. They played it all night long and I think I was asleep in the couch in the studio. At the end of the night, Leon said, “I knew you were going to use the first take.”’” - Extra Texture 2014 remaster sleeve notes (x)
“Extra Texture […] was a grubby album in a way. The production left a lot to be desired, as did my performance. I was in a real down place. Some songs I like, but in retrospect I wasn’t very happy about it. ‘Grey Cloudy Lies’ described clouds of gloom that used to come down on me. A difficulty I had. I’ve found over the years that I’m more able to keep them away, and am quite a happy person now.” - George Harrison, Musician, November 1987 (x)

"Why did Tears of the Kingdom have a development cycle just as long as Breath of the Wild's even though it reused so many assets?" is a question that I think fundamentally misunderstands how modern game design works
It assumes that the team does something like all sit down, develop the physics engine, then they can move on to the overworld map, then they can move on to making the cutscenes, etc. and when you think about that for just a second it becomes obviously absurd. Developing a physics engine, writing dialogue, creating textures, designing puzzles, and so on are all different disciplines that different specialists work on in parallel and in cooperation
What probably actually happened is a lot of the artists, engine devs, and so on put a lot less time into the project, before/while working on a bunch of different projects at Nintendo (quite possibly including the engine and art for the next Zelda game), and they also probably didn't need to get Monolith Soft to help design the overworld. Meanwhile, the puzzle designers, writers, and a lot of the rest of the team have to do just as much work as they did for Breath of the Wild (or more!), and so it's not that surprising that it took just as long
(Disclaimer that I don't know for certain that this is how it happened internally at Nintendo, and short of interviewing the devs I don't think there's any way to find out. The credits won't help because close to all of the people who moved on to other teams either worked on TotK for part of the development and/or had their work ported over from BotW. This is just my understanding of how modern AAA game development works)
