A Brief Guide to Yachts
This is a continuation to my cultural education segment (aka my rich bitch guide).
The yacht is an invention of the 14th century Dutch. The Dutch used small, fast boats for chasing smugglers, pirates and criminals. Rich ship owners and merchants began using these small “jaghts” to sail out to celebrate their returning merchant ships.
The first yacht club in the world, called the Cork Water Club, was established in Ireland in 1720.
Some famous clubs include:
USA:
1. Annapolis Yacht Club: Surrounding the Spa Creek Bridge in Annapolis, the Club boasts over 75 wet slips and dry dockage. The club began in 1886 as an informal canoe club, and today has 1600 regular members active in social, racing, and cruising programs
2. Chicago Yacht Club: Founded in 1875, Chicago Yacht Club is one of the oldest and most respected yacht clubs in the world. The Club is home to more than 1,400 members, including a winning America’s Cup skipper, and Olympic medalists.
Italy:
1. Circolo Canottieri Aniene
2. Circolo degli Esteri
3. Compagnia della Vela
Canada:
1. Royal Canadian Yacht Club
2. Royal Vancouver Yacht Club
Yachts are most active in the summer months (May- August in the northern hemisphere) or the winter months. many yacht owners decide to keep the maximum number of guests onboard to 12 (plus crew) for chartering.
Different types of yachts:
Sailing Yacht: a yacht mainly propelled via wind and sails
Motor Yacht: a yacht propelled via one or more motors
Gulet Yacht: a hybrid yacht with both sails and motors
Open Yacht, Cruiser, Cabin Cruiser, Express Cruiser: an otherwise uncategorized standard yacht for cruising and entertaining
Luxury Yacht: a yacht that includes high-end finishes and features and the latest in modern performance technology. The term ‘luxury’ can precede any type of yacht, i.e. “luxury motor yacht”, “luxury sailing yacht”, etc.
Sports Yacht: a yacht geared towards fishing, water sports, or cruising with a sleeker design and more powerful motor for faster cruising speeds.
Catamaran Yacht: a yacht with two hulls (pontoons) often made of fiberglass that can be used in shallow waters.
The most popular destinations:
1. Monaco
2. The French Riviera
3. Greece
4. U.S. Virgin Islands
5. Palm Beach, Florida
6. Costa Smeralda, Italy
7. St. George’s Parish, Bermuda
8. Newport, Rhode Island
9. Nantucket, Massachusetts
10. Greater Victoria, Vancouver Island

Football club owner Shahid Khan's 95 metre Lürssen Kismet was delivered in 2014. On match days, a four-metre silver statue of a jaguar, its paw resting on a football helmet, graces the bow. Elsewhere, its sizeable foredeck has enough space for Khan's beloved football team, the Jacksonville Jaguars, to stage a practice.

The 70 metre Feadship superyacht Joy features a deck that's wide enough to enjoy a tandem jog around. The Luxury Yacht Charter Vessels
Virgin Islands are a set of lovely islands that border the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic ocean. The islands are known for their cozy beaches and they are a favorite vacation destination for many. The islands are politically divided into the British virgin islands and the United States Virgin Islands. The islands are also known for their music, culture and friendly people. One of the most common holiday activities in these islands is cruising a Virgin Islands yacht charter into the Atlantic sea. The culture of hiring luxury yacht charter is ancient and has been in practice in many other coastal states and especially those that are a tourist destination boat rental cyprus.
History
Luxury yachts were first introduced in the 20th century and were constructed for sale to the very wealthy tycoons who lived near beaches in Europe and the United States. Some of the earliest luxury yachts included the Cox and Kings Yachts, MY Christina, American Cup Classic and MY Savarona. However, towards the 21st century, luxury yacht have become quite common with many businesses setting up luxury yacht charter businesses for hiring our yachts. Large luxury yachts are now in production with a length of over 24 meters.
The 'Milk Run'
The Virgin Islands yacht charter vessels are especially common in the Mediterranean sea and they are known to cruise in the Mediterranean during summer and they drift to the Caribbean sea in the winter. These Virgin Islands yacht charter boats that operate between these two seas are usually referred to as making a 'Milk Run'. These yachts do not have a resident country where they dock permanently though they are required to be registered to a specific country port and hoist the flag of the country they have registered with. However, some of these yachts have never been to the ports of the country that they are registered. The yachts travel from port to port and when they dock at a particular port, the crew perform routine vessel servicing and pick their travel guests. Every year, a ceremony called the Charter Show is hosted in Virgin Islands just before winter. It is an event that showcases the different designs and sizes of yachts.
Yacht Sizes and Designs
The 24 meter deck yachts is considered at the low end of the luxury yacht charter and they not have extra crew apart from the captain. The yachts around 50 meters will usually come with crew and the design is usually 3 decker. They carry 10-12 luxury guests. The super large yachts are over 50 meters in deck length. These boats will usually have a luxury yacht charter tender before docking. The yachts come fully equipped with advanced satellite communication and large entertainment screens among other luxury facilities.
Yacht Owners and Makers
The Virgin Islands luxury vessels are owned by citizens from across the world. Some owners are from the United states, Western Europe, New Zealand and Australia. The manufacturers of the luxury boats also originate from different states although the top designers come from Europe. These yacht European manufacturers include Ferretti, Azimut, Azimut-Benetti, Sunseekers and Feadship. There are also many different designs available for the Virgin Islands yachts.

Who Are The 7 Incredibly Richest Men In The World
Tumblr media
Everyone really thinks the richest men in the world are just people who actually control the world and sits on their ass and just assume the title of the richest person in the world, well that might not actually be true. What is rich, BTW? Someone with no bills? someone with a paid-off house? someone with 1 million dollars in retirement funds? There is always joy and pride that comes from having riches and that is what brings us to today's topic which we know is going to be talking about 7 of the wealthiest, most affluent, and most successful men in the world.
Generations upon generations of exceptional people have continued to amass wealth but just 7 of them from our present generation are our today's focus and the question we all have for them is why they want all those riches and would rather stay on top as the richest in the world than enjoy their riches to the fullest or is there something behind it. You'll discover all that in this post.
LET'S DIVE RIGHT IN!
Bernard Arnault
Tumblr media
Arnault was not what we actually expected but this old pal is proving to have what it takes to take that place, He was compensated €7.8 million as the director of the LVMH group during the year 2016.
In July in the year 2019, Arnault became the second wealthiest man in the world, with a whooping net worth of $103 billion. During the period of the COVID-19 pandemic, Arnault witness his riches diminish by $30 billion as sales of his opulence goods collapsed.
Arnault shortly beat Jeff Bezos to become the richest person in the world in December 2019, and again for a little period in January 2020. In April the year 1999, he was the richest person in fashion, topping Zara's Amancio Ortega and looking like the richest man in the world ever.
Bernard Jean Étienne Arnault was born on the 5th of March 1949 in Roubaix. His father, manufacturer Jean Léon Arnault, a graduate of École Centrale Paris, owned the civil engineering corporation Ferret-Savinel. His mother, Marie-Josèphe Savinel, daughter of Étienne Savinel, had an "obsession for Dior".
Three years later, after he had enticed his father to change the focal point of the company to real estate, Ferret-Savinel marketed the industrial construction sector and was renamed Ferinel. In the year 1971, he fully graduated from the École Polytechnique, France's top recommended engineering school, and began working for his father's company.
Following the ownership of a textile corporation and transfer of its headquarters, the corporation renamed the real estate branch to the George V Group. The real estate assets were later sold to Compagnie Générale des Eaux (CGE), in due course becoming Nexity. Arnault was schooled at the Lycée Maxence Van Der Meersch in Roubaix and the Lycée Faidherbe in Lille.
He is recorded as "Bernard Arnault & Family" on the Forbes Billionaires list. Forbes evaluates the Bernard Arnault & Family wealth to be $158 billion in 2022, making him ahead of Bill Gates. On the 5th of August 2021, he reclaimed the dignity of the wealthiest man in the world, with his net worth soaring to $198.4 billion. This happened because of the sales of LVMH's luxury goods deluged in China and other parts of Asia.
Arnault and his family have an evaluated net worth of US$206.7 billion as of February 2023 according to Forbes, which makes him the richest person in the world, boosting past Elon Musk. His current 101.5 m (333 ft) yacht Orchestra was constructed in the Netherlands by Feadship. Arnault owned the 70 m (230 ft) transformed research tanker Amadeus, which was sold in late 2015.
