The Sims 4 to The Sims 3 - LittleDica Rise & Grind Coffeehouse Set

Quite some time ago, I mentioned that a café themed set was on the horizon - here it is now! ☕ Important info and download 💾 below:

About a year ago, I worked on several projects, but many things happened that prevented the release of them. This set was one of them - primarily, I make things for myself and my own use and post later. However, when it came to posting these, some items needed a little extra attention as I wanted them to look a little better, and I ended up adding more than I originally had. It's here now, so it all worked out in the end :) Some of you may have spotted some of these items in my Target set previews 🧐 bonus points to you. Pilgrim’s Bounty Thanksgiving Set

Sims 4, base game compatible (World of Warcraft & EA edits/conversions) I had a lot of fun planning this one out & I hope you enjoy!

A new Plate item has been added today, November 18th 2022, so that some plates can have turkey slices instead of a leg, since turkeys have only two legs. Cranberries have been added to both plates.

New version of the Cornucopia table has all 15 EA swatches, and is wider front to back, to allow for a big holiday food spread! (found in dining tables, 500 simoleons)

Use the scale up & down feature on your keyboard to make the items larger or smaller to your liking. (If you have a non-US keyboard, it may be different keys.) Press 9 on keyboard to make the item higher up, and 0 to lower it.

There were two cups of boiling hot water on the kitchen counter, as Terzo usually drank his coffee without milk and just one sugar, yet you drink yours with sugar and milk.

But just as Tero opened the fridge to grab the milk, he saw that there's no milk left.

"Huh? No milk? But Cara mia would never drive her coffee without milk..." Said Terzo out loud as he pondered about what to do. Eventually one of the Siblings of Sin told Terzo that the Ministry is all out of milk and they'll go and buy a large batch later....

Terzo was kinda dumbfounded about what he should do at this point..........then he had an idea...

He grabbed the two cups and made his way back into your shared bedroom and slowly placed your cup of coffee down on your nightstand, carefully not to make any noise..

"Well.....she never complained about *My Milk* so......why not? I am pretty sure she won't even realise it....right?"

definitely hot ones--having grown up somewhere it's cold every day of the year makes warmth in itself feel like a privilege. he's a big fan of coffee :) something he looks forward to every year around the holidays is being able to make new drink recipes he finds online and sharing the really good ones in the band's group chat

🍀 CLOVER - do they believe in luck? are they lucky?

ilya is mildly superstitious given his upbringing but doesn't consider luck to be anything more than a vague unexplainable thing that happens to exist. his luck could be considered average, but with dethklok's influence it's easily debatable

🎵 MUSIC NOTE - what is their playlist like? their favourite artists? do you associate a particular song with them?

he loves grindcore. goregrind, pornogrind, all the subgenres--his favorite artists don't exist in the real world but i do plan on creating them too sometime soon. no playlist for him yet ^_^ he'll get one though.

oh and as i've mentioned before he's a huge fan of sebaceous gutslash wraith worm, nate's first band from high school in canon--it's described as "proggy" and boring enough to make nate fall asleep during long musical segments. picked up their single underground demo soon after first coming to the U.S. and became obsessed, especially with the unique vocalist... giggles

I used to collect those ceramic faeries used for fairy gardens but they just hang out on my bookshelf

I played piano seriously for about 9 or so years, doing lessons on and off. The only song I can still play without looking at the sheet music is the Winnie the Pooh theme song 🐻

I also played violin for 2 years and was in a few recitals! I also played the flute for two weeks but quit because I didn’t like the band instructor 😌

I have a scar on my right index finger after getting it caught in a car door. We were going to lunch but ended up at the hospital instead with my sister claiming my finger was going to fall off. I watched Happy Feet afterwards

One of my drinks of choice is a nice Irish Coffee. Coffee, a prime Irish whisky, some brown sugar, whipped cream on top. Nothing beats it 👌🥃☕️

I cry during so many movies, it’s not even funny anymore. I could be watching a C rated movie that has one vaguely touching scene during the entire film and if I’m in a certain mood I’m bawling.

I’ve been sewing for a long time and used to make cosplays, but didn’t touch quilting until 3yrs ago when I needed a job (my mom was never the best teacher so I had a huge aversion to it growing up haha). Now I love making them when I have the time 😌

Despite being from and living in Colorado my whole life, I am not an outdoorsy person. I’ve never been skiing or snowboarding and never go on hikes or bike rides (I don’t hate hiking though, I just don’t have the means or time to do it 😅)

I love baking but I don’t have that big of a sweet tooth. I’ll bake all day but will only have one bite of the thing

I don’t drive due to traumatic childhood experiences involving crashes. I’ve tried a lot of ways of getting over it but the PTSD always kicks in eventually. Really sucks for living in a car dependent area 😭

Bonus: I am impartial to horses. They are a creature of multitudes that I don’t know if I ever want to explore. The only time I have horses on the mind is when I think of “you’re alright girl” in Arthur Morgan’s sweet, sweet voice

these are all going under a read more since most of them ran away from me.

🥞 PANCAKE - what is their comfort breakfast?

Both of them tend to be busy, they don't really have the time for breakfast. Rhowan always wakes up early, with the sun, and she has a few hours to kill before it's safe to wake up Yden, and she'll usually make something with whatever they have available. If they're home, she might make eggs with ham or sausage, sometimes she'll make muffins, but it depends on what they have on hand. Rhowan doesn't think much about food, she might have preferences but to her food is mostly just fuel, especially with how she's been living as the Commander. She likes fish so some days, if she's feeling indulgent, she'll spend a few hours in the morning fishing before making breakfast.

Yden likes pretty much any breakfast, and even at. 26. as a sylvari she's still finding things she's never tasted before. She doesn't usually have time for it, but Rhowan will literally hunt her down and make her eat something every morning. She likes sweet foods especially, so things like muffins, pancakes, and waffles are usually what she would go for as a comfort.

🎂 BIRTHDAY CAKE - when is their birthday? do they like celebrating it?

Rhowan's birthday is August 16! Soon! Or 228 Scion in the gw2 calendar. Yden's birthday is March 26, or 85 Zephyr (it makes Yden an Aries and Rhowan a Leo, and while I don't really care much for horoscopes, it is funny enough to mention. Rhowan also shares her birthday with Madonna so if I ever forget I look up Madonna's birthday and I'll remember).

Rhowan was born at dawn and this isn't very significant to a Norn, but to Yden it is. Yden was born at dusk. They don't really celebrate their birthdays much. It might be written on a calendar or remembered and said to each other, but neither go out of their way to celebrate.

🍩 DONUT - favourite sweet treat?

Rhowan's not big on sweet foods, she likes little candies and small things she can pop in her mouth and suck on for a while. Suckers, small candies, hard caramels. It also has the added effect of shutting her up for a while. Sometimes the Commander is quiet and looking off into the distance thinking hard about something... or maybe she just found a candy.

Yden, on the other hand, loves sweet foods. She thinks chocolate is one of the greatest things ever invented. She especially likes pastries and sweet breads (with chocolate in them) and cakes. There was a chocolate cake she still thinks about, from a little bakery in Lion's Arch, oh some fall probably in 1322. They were visiting some old bookstore and Rhowan bought it for her and she thought it was the best cake she'd eaten, "what I wouldn't give to have one of those again." "That bakery shut down years ago, Yden." "And if I ever see Scarlet I'm killing her a second time for that."

🍟 FRIES - do they order food often? or they prefer to cook their own food?

They don't really go out much, and Rhowan's hobbies are mainly hunting and cooking, so they tend to just eat at home, when they're there.

☕️ HOT BEVERAGE - do they prefer hot or cold drinks? what is their favourite drink?

Yden prefers hot drinks, but she also prefers cold weather and the two go together. She's pretty precise when it comes to making teas and when she has the chance, will like to drink a strong, black tea with honey instead of coffee when she's winding down for the night.

Rhowan doesn't really care if it's cold or hot, she doesn't have much of a preference. She likes to drink strong coffees and it doesn't matter if it has any milk or sugar, she'll drink any coffee. Her other favorite drink is a nice aged whiskey that'll get her drunk fast.

🍓 STRAWBERRY - do they eat their fruit & veg? what is their favourite fruit or vegetable?

Yes they both eat their fruits and veggies. Yden would probably like juicy fruits that are almost too far gone to eat, and she'd like plums based solely on their color and then eat them and think they're okay. Cherries, blackberries, blueberries, all top tier fruits for her. Cherries especially as I don't think they'd have them very often.

Rhowan likes things she can carry around with her so probably apples and other fruits she can take on the road. Berries are something she likes to pick when she finds them while she's out in the woods (and she knows which ones to eat and which will definitely kill you, it was one of her first lessons with her father. On the other hand, Yden also knows which ones will kill you but only because she likes plants that can kill you).

🍰 CAKE SLICE - favourite cake flavour? are they specific about types of cakes?

Yden will eat any cakes but her favorites are chocolate, and Rhowan doesn't have much preference. They're both easy to please here.

As for Yden, I don't think she'd have much from when she was a sapling. Her notebooks she'd keep, and any journals from when she was just starting out in the world. She'd keep them out of sentimentality and, later, as a way to remember herself. She hasn't kept a journal in years now, but the ones she did use, she still has. Rhowan held onto them and kept them safe in her home when Yden was "dead", and when they were on speaking terms later on, Rhowan gave them back to her. Yden still looks at them from time to time.

For Severa:

💥 COLLISON - what emotions do they have trouble dealing with?

I would say anger. When she’s angry she has a hard time dealing with it and tends to stew on it rather than talk to people. On the worst days she just ups and leaves, completely removing herself from what makes her angry (usually not far, but still). Sometimes that works, sometimes it doesn’t, but it’s not the most healthy way of dealing with things and it’s how she got herself into the Helgen situation when the issue could have been resolved with proper communication.

😨 FEARFUL - when scared, do they go into "flight" or "fight"?

Usually fight. A lot of the time when she’s in situations where she is frightened that is her first instinct. There are very few situations where she is frightened and just turns and runs, usually she’ll try and fight even if it's more than she can handle. One situation though where it was flight was her first time seeing a dwarven centurion. That one made her turn and run. She got passed it eventually out of necessity but her first instinct was very much “fuck that I’m out”.

☕️ HOT BEVERAGE - do they prefer hot or cold drinks? what is their favourite drink?

She likes warm/hot drinks usually if its cool enough outside and in Skyrim that usually not a problem. She finds them comforting and they make her feel cozy.

🎁 PRESENT - what types of presents would they be most happy to receive? are they good at gift giving?

Severa is grateful for whatever she is given but she likes getting jewelry. Does she have enough of it? Yeah, probably, but she still likes to get it nonetheless. More than that though she likes anything that is handmade. She figures if they took time out of their days to make it and put thought and love into it, then it would be meaningful regardless of what it is. Those are her favorite gifts to get and to give. She is pretty good at gift giving. Again, she likes to make things for people and put a lot of time and effort into it and the people around her are usually grateful for it.

For Cecilia:

💔 BROKEN HEART - what could their partner do that would absolutely break their heart?

Cheat. That would break her heart and mess her up a lot. She’s never been cheated on luckily, but that would probably be the biggest thing a partner could do to her that would just break her. She’s lucky and chose a good partner though and doesn’t have to think about that very much which she is very grateful for.

🌠 SHOOTING STAR - if they could make any wish with no repercussions, what wish would they make?

That’s a tough one but it would probably be to experience life if she wasn’t born into nobility. She never had to want for anything, but she also had a lot to live up to and stricter standards to follow. She would never share that with anyone she thinks it would come off as tone deaf because she grew up very privileged, but it doesn’t hurt to wonder. 

🖍️ CRAYON - what advice would you give to them?

You don’t have to impress everyone all the time, it's okay to just relax. Everybody is living their own lives and aren’t worried about the way you dress, look, etc. 

☀️ SUN - are they a morning person? what is the first thing they do in the morning?

Not particularly. The Legion had her up bright and early, but that doesn’t mean she had to like it. After she left she gets to sleep in a little more but still gets up around 7ish. When she gets up the first thing she does it get herself ready for the day and then gets coffee and sits around for a bit before she has to actually get herself fully up and around for the day.

For Irene:

🌙 MOON - what is your oc's greatest wish? how far are they willing to go for it?

Her greatest wish I think would be to help as many people as she can. She became a healer for that reason. She realizes she can't help/save everyone but she will try and help until she absolutely can’t anymore. It’s hard and can be thankless, but she still puts her all into it.

😭 CRYING - what makes them cry? do they cry easily?

Irene doesn’t cry super easily and she tries to let things get to her. When she’s stressed out though she tends to cry. She rarely does it infront of other people, especially those who she is trying to help, but when she is in private by herself or with her wife she’s more likely to break down. She’ll cry over little things sometimes like over something she read in a book or when she’s happy but not as often.

📣 MEGAPHONE - how loud are they? what do they speak like? got a voice claim?

She’s really not loud at all. She’s not super soft spoken, but her voice also isn’t too loud. Just a normal tone somewhere in the middle. She’s well educated and her speech reflects that and she has a Cyrodiilic/Colovian accent. She unfortunately does not have a voice claim at the moment.

She did the College of Winterhold stuff in 4E 199. She declined the position of arch mage at the end when it was offered to her. It was all too much for her and she avoids the college now. She went to learn and got roped into something she wanted to part in.

‘93!Bram loved him some cocktails. He might have been past college drinking shenanigans, but there wasn’t much else to do. ‘19!Bram is older and, well, not wholly wiser, but he’s 52 and drinks black coffee. Oz is trying to cajole him into adding sugar.

‘93!Oz was very much into healthy ideas, kind of a horrible fusion of film student and fitness guy. If it wasn’t green, it was probably cold water. ‘19!Oz, also no longer being in his twenties, likes coffee as well, but iced, probably flavored. Bram calls it insufferable, but finds it endearing.

Oz’s would be a mix of: white Lilies of the Valley, symbolizing rebirth; Blue Hyacinth, meaning a desire to make peace; and Asphodels, flowers that represent apology and consolation for a death. None are his favorites, he likes bird of paradise.

Bram’s would be: Forget-Me-Nots for the name itself and Purple Hyacinth, representing both regret and forgiveness. He prefers orchids if he bothers with flowers.

🙈 SEE-NO-EVIL - whats a side of your oc that they don't want to show other people?

Ooh, Bram has never been one to share his feelings. When he was young, he brushed off at deeper connections with a con artist charm and as an older man he pushes people away by being snappish. Basically, he doesn’t want to invite emotionally honesty or vulnerability.

Oz has much less of an issue in that department, but as he gets older he’s less and less willing to show his anger. He connects that to the night that almost ruined and ended his life (as well as nearly killing Bram) and he…compartmentalizes about it.

Oz certainly continues to feel anger, but he wants so badly to prove he’s better at 48 than 22, he gets weird about it.

👁️ EYE - what colour are their eyes? do people notice their eyes? is there anything special about them (shows emotion easily, literally magical...)?

Ed's eyes are a bright blue than can be both boyish and shining when they’re happy and stony and unreadable when they’re not. Many of his more starry-eyed fans find his eyes incredibly dreamy...and so did Regulus, back in the day. 😉💚

Desiree's are a bright, gleaming black. When she's excited, they resemble a child's on Christmas. 

Eli's eyes are hazel with flecks of green and gold, depending on the light. It's the one trait he inherited from his mother that none of his siblings did -- his resemblance to his late mother is a large part of the reason why his father Grover has had such a difficult time accepting Eli's gender identity.

Bairn's eyes are blue. They say the eyes are the window to the soul, and I'd say Merlin @magical-retales would agree, since for as strong and masculine as Bairn looks, his eyes are incredibly gentle, and he's an open book emotionally through those eyes for anyone with a talent for Legilimency.

🥞 PANCAKE - what is their comfort breakfast?

Ed really likes sweet pastries, so things like donuts, sugar-dusted crepes, or even churros would be right up his alley.

One of Desiree's favorite foods in general are croissants, so that plus a cup of Earl Grey tea and some fresh fruit? Yes. Just yes.

Eli isn't the type to care about what foods should be eaten for breakfast versus lunch or dinner, so he's just as likely to eat steak and French Fries for breakfast as he is bacon and eggs. That being said, though, he does usually have to eat quite a bit of carbs to get through a bad hangover, so toast is often his go-to.

During the Renaissance, it was most common for Londoners to eat bread, cold meat, and ale for breakfast. Bairn himself, however, often ends up roast any meat he has for breakfast -- most notably fish or venison -- so that it's nice, hot, and crispy, since he sometimes will share some of his breakfast with his dragon familiar Morag.

🍩 DONUT - favourite sweet treat?

Ed's one true love is cheesecake. He's not picky about its supposed "quality," he will indulge in some if he gets the chance.

Desiree really isn't a sweets connoisseur, largely because in her household, the Lestranges really didn't have many of them around, so she's not used to eating them and even now doesn't tend to gravitate toward them. While traveling, however, she did try ice cream for the first time (strawberry, specifically), and she really enjoyed it. Fruity flavors in general tend to be up Desiree's alley more than anything chocolate or sugary -- if you want to try to tempt her "sweet tooth," put fruit in it or make it fruit-flavored.

Eli really loves custards and puddings, though when he gets to the States, he develops a liking for Muggle Jello. He loves playing with it and watching it wiggle as he eats it.

Bairn also tends to prefer fruit to sugars or chocolates, largely because in his time period, chocolate is still rather new and way more bitter than it is today. Fresh fruit preserves are actually one of his favorite foods, especially plums.

Ed likes sweet coffee blends best, especially the kinds with lots of foam. One of his personal favorites is the white chocolate mocha.

Desiree is a tea person through and through -- Earl Grey is her go-to.

Eli really enjoys butterbeer, preferably cold, as well as root beer and Coca Cola.

Bairn's all about the Scottish Whiskey, baby! Though hot apple cider is great on cold nights.

💐 BOUQUET - create a bouqet for them! what do those flowers mean? are any of the flowers their particular favourite?

Ed would need some yellow crocuses for his bouquet, while Desiree would need some purple irises. As I said in this post, yellow crocuses represent rebirth, innocence, joy, cheer, positivity, and new beginnings, while irises represent faith, hope, courage, admiration, and wisdom. 

For Eli, I pick the daffodil. They represent rebirth and new beginnings (fitting, considering his storyline), as well as hope, youth, energy, creativity, renewal, inspiration, and forgiveness. They are also the first flowers to bloom in spring, meaning they thrive despite very unforgiving circumstances, which associates them with strength and resilience. 

For Bairn...I pick lavender! They represent purity, silence, devotion, serenity, grace, and calmness, and their purple color associates them with royalty. Lavender is also frequently associated with its soothing, therapeutic scent and its healing properties. 

🍁 MAPLE LEAF - what is their favourite season? why?

Ed's a spring kind of guy -- he loves when the warmer weather comes back after a long chill, but he also likes going out to see some live music at a warm, cozy club on those dark, rainy nights.

Desiree also really enjoys the spring, largely because it's the best weather for traveling.

Eli isn't picky about the weather, but he loves the fall because fall means Halloween! And Halloween is one of his personal favorite American Muggle traditions.

Bairn enjoys the fall and spring best -- he enjoys the change of season in both directions, but he also finds both seasons the best compromise kind of weather to go out and do things.

👖 JEANS - what is their go-to outfit?

Ed ~ t-shirt, jeans, couduroy jacket, baseball cap, shades

Desiree ~ collared shirt with burgundy tie, burgundy culottes, tall boots, burgundy fedora, gold winged earrings

Eli ~ suit with the jacket left unbuttoned, collared shirt, loosely tied tie, argyle-printed socks (often yellow, blue, or red), black oxford shoes

Bairn ~ Renaissance peasant tunic, belt, breeches tucked into boots, hand-carved rune pendant on a cord around the neck

☁️ CLOUD - a soft headcanon

Just about all of the songs Ed has written, even back when he was still a teenager, were about the love of his life, Regulus. Even when he and Regulus couldn’t be as upfront about the nature of the feelings they had for each other, Ed would often write little songs to make Reg smile. 

One of Desiree’s go-to happy moments, whenever she has to summon a Patronus, is the first time she and her first friend and eventual other-half Jules Aquila @kathrynalicemc fully hugged each other. Jules had initiated a few casual hugs in the past and Desiree had awkwardly reciprocated them, but this moment in particular was after the Empyrean’s crew had gotten separated during a particularly hazardous adventure. When they all reunited again, Jules’s eyes were so bright at the sight of Desi and the others that Desiree couldn’t stop herself from running over to him and throwing her arms around him. Although a bit startled at first, Jules very quickly reciprocated, laughing in delight and relief, and the two hugged each other like they never wanted to let go again. 

One of Eli’s favorite films of all time is MGM’s The Wizard of Oz. Several times, while meeting child fans, he’d made them smile by cracking jokes and singing songs from the movie, especially If I Only Had a Brain, since the Scarecrow is his favorite character. 

Bairn may be an orphan raised by an abusive adoptive family, but small children are attracted to him like magnets. Even if at the very start, they might be afraid of his height and muscles, as soon as he gets down on their level and speaks to them in his measured, quiet voice, they pretty instantly take to him and will start gabbing away about what they’re interested in or about their home lives while Bairn patiently listens. (Bairn’s way with children is ultimately how Merlin and he adopted more than one of their kids. 😂) 

🌟 GLOWING STAR - what do they think about when they look at the night sky? is there someone they want to star gaze with?

Ed always thinks of Regulus, without fail. He has to find Regulus's star and make a wish on it every time he stargazes.

Desiree ends up stargazing a lot while on board the Empyrean with Jules. Whenever Jules asks her what she's thinking about, though, she doesn't respond like most people do -- rather than thinking of a person, her place in the world, or even the endless assortment of countries she could visit or adventures she could go on, she's usually stuck dwelling on something like how a star's chemical composition affects its electromagnetism. 🤣

Eli is one of those people who wouldn't want to stargaze with anyone, but rather do it when he wanted to be completely on his own and take some time to consider his overall insignificance, in the face of the rest of the universe.

Bairn would love to stargaze with Merlin!! 🥺 The stars are beautiful at night...he'd love to go out and look out at the stars!! He probably wouldn't talk much, but if Merlin wanted to talk while they stargazed, he'd listen. ❤️
