To be a Christian is to forgive the inexcusable, because God has excused the inexcusable in you.

not ppl hating on ahb! bc the whirlwind romance of it all is an unbelievable trope and for it to happen with three separate couples is just so unrealistic. like. my brother in christ that's the point of this fucking fanfic thanks for noticing.
i prommy nobody is rawdogging piloting a plane over an ocean either. or building life-sized replicas of museums for practice heists. LEAVE ME ALONE! JUST LEAVE ME ALONE. no need 2 tell me u fucking hated it. just keep ur mouth closed and get the fuck out!

i can't believe im seeing bad tlou marlene opinions in 2023. ladies can we PLEASE let black women be morally complex and make difficult choices you might not agree with without turning it into "this MORON doesn't believe our BELOVED MAN and she isn't actually trying to save people anyway!!" can we please give the benefit of the doubt to "woman tries to perform trolley problem" as "guy who picks other answer when trolley problem involves loved one." please

seriously though, can we stop associating redemption with forgiveness? redemption isn't about being forgiven, it's about trying to do better and be better, even if you're not forgiven.
sometimes you make mistakes that people can't forgive and that's okay. the important thing is to remind yourself that you're on the right path, and you're going to be a better person regardless of whether they want to forgive you or not. that's their decision and they're entitled to it.
sometimes people forgive you and sometimes they don't. but you shouldn't stop working towards being better just because someone refused to forgive you. because you shouldn't be trying to fix your mistakes solely because you want that person to forgive you, you should be fixing them because it's the right thing to do.

I think in the same way that Ian’s allowed to love and miss Monica despite everything, Fiona’s allowed to resent her and be angry with her and both are valid feelings for them

Abusers will expect you to forgive them automatically without them even acknowledging they did anything wrong.
Abusers will expect, or demand, forgiveness, for something they are still actively doing and have no plans to stop.
Abusers will attack you for 'not forgiving them already' for something you are suffering severe consequences for and haven't been able to forget for a second.
Abusers will hold up forgiveness as a moral standard that is expected of you, they will not allow you to treat it as a natural process of 'no longer feeling like you need retaliation or revenge', in fact those things will not even be in the scope of thing you're allowed to feel or want.
Forgiveness will be treated as 'it never happened, you're never allowed to bring it up, you're never allowed to mention it or feel slighted by it, and you're not allowed to be upset if I do it again, in fact, you're not allowed to even be surprised if I do it again.'
This is not what forgiveness is. Forgiveness follows the path of:
Slight committed -> person acknowledges it's their fault -> they apologize sincerely -> person makes reparations -> you consider their apology and reparations and are given time to think -> you no longer suffer negative consequences from this and wish to keep having a relationship with this person -> you forgive, without actually forcing yourself or feeling obligated to do so, but because you naturally wish to mend the relationship.
In abuse, the expectations goes like this:
slight committed -> person who committed the slight attacks you if you get upset -> person who slighted you gaslights you and lies about their intentions -> person who slighted you plays the victim and demands compassion -> person who slighted you blames you for being a bad person for not being over it already -> slights keeps getting committed -> pressure to ignore the slights and to force yourself to lessen your own value and accept that you are someone who can be slighted over and over without having a say in it, increases -> person who slighted you utilizes the rest of society to also put pressure on you to accept your lesser value and accept that you should get walked over indefinitely with no reparations
This is why you don't tell victims to forgive. It's the equivalent of telling someone to not be upset about their arm being cut off, while it's still in the process of being cut off. Your attention should always be on 'how to stop the abuser from cutting and how to save your arm', or in this analogy, how to preserve your sense of value and dignity as a human being.
Ask the abuser why they always need to be forgiven. People can live without being forgiven just fine.

i know the fascism intrinsic to zionism is obviously apparent on the face of it but it is really illustrative of Something that it has my so-called liberal father posting links to fucking prageru videos trying to manufacture consent for the murder of palestinian children

i think your blog made me like saionji. like in a "id soak him in hotdog water and throw him into a wall" sorta way
i think my blog also made me like saionji which is really funny to me bc i also cannot stand him. well actually no that’s not true either. ive always been deeply conflicted about him because i love his character design, and think that his baby design in his flashback is especially endearing. and also that scene where he cooks eggs he gathered in the woods in the middle of the night in a frilly yellow apron. like if not for the domestic abuse he’d rule actually. but also he sucks so bad. so i guess what i’m saying, anon, is that i’d also soak him in hotdog water and throw him into a wall

Thinking about the fact that Knives loved western movies as a kid and liked the idea of gunslingers and how after the crash he took the gun from a man he killed and gave it to vash, not only because he wanted his brother to protect himself and join him in killing humans, but because he thought gunslingers were cool. He gave Vash a gun cause he thought having his brother be a gunslinger on a desert planet would be cool. Just like a western movie.
Im dying
