Quick Review of The Pink Phantom

1. Never thought I’d see the day where Gorillaz would collaborate with Sir Elton John. And who knew that he’s a Gorillaz fan? I’m sure Damon and Jamie are highly honored by this. I know I would be.

2. 6LACK could’ve had his auto tune lessened a bit. I got what he was saying but still.

3. This is my second favorite song behind Aries.

4. Animated Elton John is cute

5. This is a sad song once you really listen to it (I listened to it 3 times)

6. Murdoc being Murdoc. The bit at the end made me laugh.

7. Actually had a fan girl moment over 2D. There’s something about seeing him play piano...and I was just loving his whole vibe during the music video.

8. Makes me wish David Bowie and Freddie Mercury were still with us. Can you imagine what a GorillazxDavid Bowie or GorillazxQueen collab would’ve sounded like?

Freddie Mercury has adhd and gets kinda de defensive when he thinks someone is treating him like his stupid or slow, when really that most likely wasn't the other persons intentions. He gets hung up on this a lot so he needs comfort from boyfriend Brian, though he's nervous he won't understand

Freddie was a lucky man for being able to, for the most part, get away with his wild flamboyance. He acted larger than life (in public) and like a big deal and he was wild and inventive and passionately creative and most people just accepted it??

The bad thing about self confidence is sometimes it’s not rooted in reality. Most people who interact with Freddie wouldn’t even know he has ADHD. He’s just a chaotic happy little man!

But Freddie doesn’t see that. He’s so hyperaware of himself, everything he says or does gets immediately judged by himself for how neurotypical it came off.

Am I laughing too much?

Moving around too much?

Did I change the topic at a bad time?

Am I moving too fast?

Talking too fast?

Did they notice I stopped paying attention?

Even worse, since he thinks his ADHD is glaringly obvious, he feels as though every interaction is marred by it. A simple joke is secretly a jab at him. A weird look is clearly directed at his ADHD.

He’s convinced that everyone looks down on him for how he acts. And it’s so scary. Especially when he has to interact with big and important figures in the music and entertainment industries. Managers and executives and song writers and other singers.

When Queen did their collab with David Bowie, by the end of it, Freddie needed all the comfort Brian could give him.

At their house, Freddie was all curled up in Brian’s lap, crying into his neck. Brian’s holding him, whispering encouraging words.

“Oh, love, I ruined it. He must think I’m a spaz. He’ll never want to work with us again. I’m so stupid!” Freddie cried.

“Oh, Fred. If only you could see what the world sees. A sharp, intensely brilliant man. The brain you bring to this band is almost unimaginable. Yes, you’re eccentric, but by god do you have the intellect to back yourself up.” Brian says, kissing Freddie’s cheek.

“You say that because you love me. You saw how he looked at me. Like an inferior!”

“Freddie, he looked at you funny because you are his competition. His equal. The tension in the room? That was two rock stars battling for dominance on a song. Not David looking down at you.”

Freddie’s crying stops, taking a moment to take Brian’s words in. He looked up, asking, “Really?”

Brian snorts, nodding. “He was intimidated by your power. For a minute there I thought he was gonna walk out. Trust me, darling.”

Freddie’s quiet for a moment, pouting childishly. “Oh,” is all he says before Brian attacks him with kisses, Freddie screeching as he laughed.

Freddie would always have moment of self doubt and insecurity, but luckily Brian is always there to bring him back up!

I gotta say, out of all of Queen's songs this is my most favorite, the others being "These are the days of our lives," "Love of my life," "Somebody to love," and well..."Bohemian Rhapsody" (duh). Because number one, it's a Queen and David Bowie collab (legit legends!), very powerful lyrics, an interesting back story of how the song came to be, definitely not the easiest song to sing but hey I still love it! Too bad Queen and David didn't have the chance to perform this song together live or at least make a music video, that would have been hella epic.

Anyways, Happy Birthday Freddie "Legend" Mercury. Feels awesome to know we were born on the same month (even though you passed away before I existed). Sing this song with David in heaven or...wherever you guys are will ya?

First an foremost I’m a freelance artist, housewife and mom to two boys, one with ADHD & autism the other with ADHD & ODD, and i’m working from home. I have a degree in medical administration but have yet to find a job specifically in that field from home.

The Rules:

I keep a happy house here, meaning if you’re going to spread hate on my blog, just go somewhere else. I try to be inspiring, I try to be loving, I try to be kind.

I don’t do hate, it takes A LOT for me to hate anyone, you have had to have hurt someone, children, animals or be a raving racist for me to hate you. All of that being said, I don’t tolerate hate toward anyone, no hate toward characters, actors, the actors real life families, writers, artists…ANYONE. I don’t reblog it, I won’t give you your 15 seconds of fame. If anyone sends me hate, just so ya know, i won’t dignify it with a response. No one tells me what to create, who to like, what to fight for, if you don’t like what I post, unfollow me. No offense taken.

I ship ALL THE SHIPS, there are very few that I am weirded out by and in that case I don’t read it (now there’s a concept) and I ship and let ship, and I keep scrolling. To each their own, as far as characters and ships that they like. I expect the same courtesy from my followers, if you don’t like a ship or character I draw or reblog, simply ignore it, black list it, and keep scrolling.

This goes for porn as well, go somewhere else, don’t follow me if your blog is just you naked showing whatever to the camera. I will block you. DO NOT comment on my artwork, advertising your porn blog.

My blog is a safe space for all, your ethnicity, religion, sexuality, gender identity, age, etc. You’re safe here, as long as you’re not hateful to anyone else here.

I do my best to tag things, but I kind of suck at knowing what to tag. I also try not to reblog any NSFW images, however I do reblog occasional fic with the proper tags.

I’m on other social media but I am notoriously horrible at updating my other social media accounts. My professional artist type stuff is all on myfacebook business page , which occasionally overflows into mytwitter and instagram when I remember to post there. But I link nothing to my tumblr, because tumblr is my space to be my geeky self and be around folks who are just as weird as I can be.
