"Pressure: pushing down on me
Pressing down on you, no man ask for
Under pressure that burns a building down
Splits a family in two
Puts people on streets"
Love will always persist in the face of pain and shame and it will always put a lump in my throat

Post-Canon Headcanon Moodboard Aesthetic for the man once known as Captain Widdershins and Quigley Quagmire's relationship, two people who are trying to get use to the changes of no longer having V.F.D. in their lives, and find themselves slowly trying to figure out what they're looking for.
“I’m surprise you’re not sleeping like everyone else,” says Widdershins, his attention still on the open flame before him. “I didn’t picture you as an early riser.”
Quigley shrugs his shoulders. “My internal alarm clock been out of whack for a while. At least it’s no longer waking me up when it’s the dead of night, especially outdoors. What about you?”
Widdershins turns his gaze away from the fire to Quigley. The man blinks a few times, before shrugging his shoulders also. “Same as you. Aye, my internal alarm clock been busted for longer than a while, but shorter than my entire lifetime so far, Quigley Quagmire.”
Another rambling post. I think Lana's "Terrence Loves You" might be one of her best but probably the most heartbreaking songs as well and I wanted to provide some context 'cause I've seen people online being confused about the title. The song is about her ex, Barrie James O'Neil (they collaborated on many songs and it seems like 1/3 of Lana's discography is about him including songs like Black Beauty, Say Yes To Heaven, Cruel World, Flipside, California, The Next Best American Record etc.). Also, the nickname "Lanita" originates from their relationship and has been like an inside joke in the fandom for a long time now because apparently he has a thing for Spanish/latino women and Lana was sent by her mother to a boarding school in Spain when she was a teenager + the nickname sounds sounds similar to "Lolita" and she referenced both the book and Kubrick's movie adaptation a lot on BTD (in songs like Off to the Races, Carmen, Diet Mountain Dew and ofc the song simply titled Lolita). They allegedly broke up because they were both struggling with depression and drug abuse at the time.
She's referencing the character "Major Tom" from Bowie's songs who was basically a drug-addicted astronaut. David Bowie's brother was Terrence "Terry" Jones. He was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia and died by suicide. Although "Terrence" was Barrie's nickname - don't ask me how I know this (I'm nosy lol) - I personally think that she alludes to her own depression in the title and in this instance "Terrence" is her. I mean, it's pretty apparent when you listen to her demos from the time they were together that she wasn't mentally in a good place either ("I don't really wanna die, I just want the pain to be over" or "she wants to die and she should fucking try"...).
“Look up here, I'm in heaven!
I've got scars that can't be seen
I've got drama, can't be stolen,
Everybody knows me now
(...)
This way or no way
You know I'll be free
Just like that bluebird
Now, ain't that just like me?
