it's been over 10 years since aftg so obviously nora sakavic's writing has developed and evolved but aftg was written from neil's pov and he didn't care about anything other than exy and andrew and wasn't very observant. but lazarus from renee's point of view? holy shit. i genuinely cannot wait for the sunshine court now, when i wasn't even sure if i was going to read it before, and i believe that it's a dual pov, so it'll be exciting to read nora's writing from other points of views

Naming it Lazarus is just...... Renee raised him from the dead with her presence and her voice...... him being alive is a miracle..... he was in a tomb...... Renee cries as she gets him out aka "Jesus wept"........

“The gate rattled open, and Renee flashed Riko a peace sign out the window as she put the pedal to the floor. Unnecessary, she knew, but she could worry about her attitude later.”

Is anyone else struck by the lies the Ravens tell??
Zane may have had some warning about the situation, who knows. but either way he is used to this. Obviously the lies he tells aren't believable, but they are delivered with such confidence. He truly thinks the lies he's telling will be enough to persuade whoever he's talking to. THAT'S CRAZY!
Like Zane knew Jean was in the room and was like "ohh hmm they must be at practice, let's go to the court." Mans looked at Jean beat to a pulp and said "rough scrimmage" to the fucking president with a straight face and a shrug.
This shit is so systemic but so particular to The Nest and Edgar Allen. The way they behave would simply NEVER work in the real world. Jean's transition is going to be even harder than I thought. Even with Neil, the least normal guy to ever exist, he was raised to function in the outside world even if in a weird, sneaky, anonymous way. Jean's going to be so over his head.
