I’m starting a rumor that Clint originally gave Coulson a chance as his handler because he was the first senior officer he got assigned to who was also queer. Clint wasn’t being recalcitrant when he was acting like a rebellious little shit for all his other handlers, he was being heterophobic.
#jokes on Clint though because he wouldn’t have fallen in love with any of his straight handlers#.txt#in this scenario in my mind Coulson is gay and Clint has been a freewheeling bisexual since before he realized that#not all people were attracted to other kinds of people than the opposite sex#he had no awareness of homophobia bc nobody took the time to teach it to him :(#the group home was like one of those mythical boarding schools where puppy piles were a regular thing#At first his behavior strikes Phil as macho posturing and so Phil puts his sexuality front and center ('Barton most people#don’t care enough to know this and I don’t tend to advertise it but I’m gay. Tell me now if that’s going to be a problem for you.’)#thinking that it will get Clint off his hands and stop Phil from having to deal with his misbehavior#jokes on Phil though because Clint just gets excited and doubles down. ('Hey! another queer person in this stodgy gvt org!')#Also in my heart of hearts I believe that SHIELD is predominantly a place for weirdos and outcasts for one reason or another so#it’s chock full of queer people. but in this scenario I like the idea of it being 50/50 paramilitary (and therefore v straitlaced and#heteronormative) and half discreet queer people with their own established in-organization subculture#obviously Phil introduces Clint to the rest of the subculture. he starts with just a few people who are okay with being outed until he’s#sure that Clint isn’t pranking him#clintcoulson#phlint#the joke is on both of them actually for thinking that homophobia in any direction could shield them from anything at all

someone: bisexuals are inherently untrustworthy in relationships; they can’t commit, always cheat on you, are happy to hook up with literally everyone because they’re attracted to literally everyone, have sex with a new partner every other day, and will steal your boyfriend/girlfriend with their flirtatious, freewheeling ways
me, in my pyjamas at 8PM on a Saturday night, looking up from an old episode of Midsomer Murders, mouth full of Dominos pizza inhaled straight from the box: say what now?

Okay, let’s see what’s happening over on The Winchesters:
• We’ve got someone whose greatest regret was not saying “I love you” to her husband before he disappeared.
• We’ve got someone who fell in love with a man who wasn’t human (“from totally different worlds”). He died; immediately after, she had his half-human/half-something-else son. She was scared of her son and inadvertently pushed him away. She still believes following your heart is never a mistake.
• We’ve got two parents who split because things weren’t the same after their adopted child died.
• We’ve got someone who’s come back from a faraway war, traumatized over losing his good buddy and imagining he sees him everywhere.
• He’s also infatuated with someone but the pair of them are convinced the other doesn’t feel the same way. One wants to be asked to stay; the other always pushes away. (Their long-suffering friends & family are like ugh would y’all just get together already this is painful to watch.)
• He also has a thing for men in uniform & loves seeing his friend dress up in funny little outfits.
• Oh he also has an anger problem and being manipulated by a god who calls himself Destiny did not help.
• We’ve got a headstrong (read: bossy, annoying as hell but you can’t help but love ’er) hunter with a soft spot for kids, following in her (missing) father’s footsteps, whose deepest trauma (in a subconscious that is a world of darkness with a trauma behind every door) was being told at five years old that she was destined for a life of violence. There’s a knife under her pillow—she likes to keep it close. She never was a child.
• But wait! Then there’s a freewheeling bisexual who lives on the road & speaks entirely in pop culture references.
Men will literally write thirteen(-plus?)-part sagas about giant intergalactic mind-controlling bugs in which every single character is themselves instead of going to therapy

He canonically hates having a lot of money. He charges such high prices that it's been said you'd have to sell drugs to hire him. He's referred to himself as a "freewheeling bisexual." He has never been serious in his life. He helped Marie Antoinette try to escape because a hot guy hired him to do it. He got drunk and stole a random guy's carpet. He's so bad at music he was banned from playing in most areas of Peru. He later got completely banned from all of Peru and has no idea why. He keeps changing his age based on what's most convenient. He badly needs therapy.
Magnus Bane really is the character ever

Martha Shelly is a Jewish activist lesbian and feminist.
She was involved in many forms of activism including the Vietnam anti war protests and was an ally to the Black Panthers. She joined the Daughters of Bilitis, a lesbian civil rights group, in 1967, and later went on to become president of the New York chapter. While working as a secretary in the office of fundraising for Barnard College, she joined the Student Homophile League.
After witnessing the Stonewall riots and seeing the public reaction Martha was inspired to organize a protest. With the DOB and the Mattachine Society they organized the first gay protest march in America, shortly after that, they formed the Gay Liberation Front. She became the face of the movement, going on tv programs and speaking at public events.
As a young adult her therapist put her through a conversation therapy of sorts, she insisted she try to be bisexual as to not “give up on half the world in her dating pool”. She tried for a while, getting with other gay men put in this program and went on to date bisexual activist Stephen Donaldson. But after her working with the GLF and getting more involved with her community she accepted herself as a lesbian.
At the time lesbians were considered a threat to the feminist movement. The president of The National Organization for Women Betty Friedan called lesbians in the movement a “lavender menace” and the organization distanced themselves from lesbian causes and even omitted the sponsorship of the DOB. Women from DOB and the GLF, including Martha, joined together to create the group ‘Lavender Menace’ in response. Together, dawning shirts and signs they protested at a NOW event for lesbian causes to be included.
My job was to jump up on the stage and grab the mic. I explained that we were here because lesbians had been excluded, and we wanted to talk about our issues. Then I put it to the audience. "Let's take a vote how many want to continue with the panel discussion? How many want to hear what we have to say?" The women voted overwhelmingly to hear from us. Then other Menaces marched down the aisle and stepped up onto the stage, while a few remained in the audience. A freewheeling discussion ensued. At their next annual conference NOW revised their platform to include lesbian rights.
The group was soon after renamed the Radicalesbians.
Despite members of the group partaking in it, Martha did not consider herself a lesbian separatist. She liked the idea of lesbian only spaces but thought that splitting the gay movement into smaller groups would weaken the movement as a whole.

running games isn't rocket science but running games does mean taking on a big chunk of responsbility that the freewheeling bisexual bard tiefling player doesn't have to worry about. you are primarily the referee but you're also entertainer, event organizer, financier and occasionally the HR department. i think the skills that go into running good games are less about creating cool dungeons or whatever and more about like, keeping things moving when you can tell one of your players is having a bad time because they're low on blood sugar and the game store is too loud.

I just finished watching The Green Knight (2022) and I've had four white wines, here are my thoughts (minor spoilers)
disappointingly heterosexual. how have we regressed so much as a society where Gawain is far more queer in the 14th century than he is now. who the fuck is Essel, why was she there. give me more of the Bertilak bisexual love triangle/polycule. and where is the Morgan le Fay/Guinevere middle-aged toxic yuri.
which leads to my next point. making Morgan Gawain's mum is such a cool idea and consistent with the legend but they just do nothing with it. I wouldn't mind them changing Morgan's motivations from 'avenge my ex-situationship because I'm still bitter that she dumped me for my brother 30 years ago' to 'force my deadbeat son to do something with his life' if they made it more interesting. but they didn't explore Gawain and Morgan's relationship anywhere near enough for me to care or understand what their dynamic was.
I'm not yet sure how I feel about the ending. I just read an interview with the director about how the legend is "a story of the tension between the more conservative Christianity of Arthur’s court and the freewheeling paganism of the Green Knight and Morgan le Fay" and he wanted to explore that with the ending. and... yeah pop off that's a cool interpretation but I didn't get that at all while I was watching it. and if you're going to make it Gawain freeing himself from the pressures of (heteronormative) conservative christianity to embrace the freedom offered by the green knight (and by extension Bertilak) make it more queer!
otherwise, the cinematography was beautiful, the costumes were meh but the hair was slay.
idk. overall it's an awesome interpretation of the legend and technically a good film in it's own right but I feel like it didn't deliver on any of the cool ideas that it introduced. but It's quite possible that I'm just too tipsy to properly interpret it.

It is very important to me that Heather is a freewheeling bisexual. It is imperative that she hits her college years, moves to the big city, and gets as much pussy and dick as she possible can. She WILL invite herself into your relationship for a one night freeway. She is a slut and I love her so much
