I saw this movie last weekend and absolutely loved it; it was so much fun, such a delight to see this vibrant world brought to life so beautifully. I had to draw some sketches of my favorite characters! A couple different versions, just ‘cause I thought they looked neat :)

Since seeing the Mario Movie, his character has stuck with me design-wise. I had quite the Koopa hyperfixation when I was in middle school, haha. It was cool to finally see a blue shell in Koopa form and I knew I had to draw him. This is probably the first set of drawings with more to come XD (Also I've taken to calling him General Cobalt since he was never given a name)

On April 5, 2023, one year ago today, The Super Mario Bros Movie released and introduced the world to the Koopa General, who has since become my favorite Mario character of all time.

I'm going to guess that Luigi is against of Bowser invading the other kingdoms and that during the destruction of the snow kingdom he was horrify, but can't do anything to stop it

Meant to answer this way sooner, but hopefully this comic makes up for the wait. ^ - ^ So the answer is yes and no, it depends on who are the prisoners. For instance, if it was King Boo and his boos he would have no problem. For other kingdoms who are just minding their business, he definitely doesn't like invading them and tries to help them out where he can even if that means going against Bowser's orders.

Also a little bonus for waiting so long (I drafted a few different responses to this answer and these pictures ended up being my favorites).
