I genuinely don’t understand how people can watch the body swap episode and enjoy seeing Faith inhabit Buffy’s body and WORSE objectifying (Faith)Buffy being like “omg she’s so hot she slayed so hard I love Buffy in black leather”

Not only is SMG’s FRIGHTENING thinness even more apparent in Faith’s traditional wardrobe showcasing just how much she is practically skin and bone due to her being under immense stress and being so overworked which always just tears at my heart in so many ways but we are witnessing the WORST violation of Buffy’s body and autonomy!!!! I’m genuinely just sick the entire episode.

Bad enough she almost gets Buffy killed and finally gets her wish of (temporarily) stealing Buffy’s life which she has wanted to do since her arrival in season 3 (only to STILL not understand Buffy’s perspective until she does it again in a far less invasive way in season 7 after Buffy allowed her back into her home and she still never properly apologizes she’s like hehe turns our your life is actually pretty miserable and I don’t want it because I can’t handle the stress and constant pressure you’re under…. Oops!🙃) but unlike when Willow takes Buffy’s free will and autonomy away (where she at least still retains all the memories after the fact of everything that happened so she doesn’t have to wonder and can process them when she’s ready) Buffy has ZERO CLUE what all Faith allows to happen to her body while she’s not in it. And Faith isn’t unaware or passive about the power she holds and the things she can do to Buffy’s body in the position she’s in - she literally tells Riley, BEGS HIM - to do all of the nastiest things he’s ever wanted to do “to this body” she WANTS Riley to do things to Buffy’s body Buffy herself WOULD. NOT. ALLOW. it is one of THE MOST insidious lines in the entire series to me because not only is that an absolutely stomach churning, bone-chilling thing to say but then after the fact when angel asks what Faith did to upset Buffy so much she’s like “I slept with her boyfriend” like UMMMM WHAT??? EXCUSE ME???? That is literally the absolute LEAST of your crimes bitch be so fucking for real. This horrific violation is minimized down to oh well Buffy is just insecure about sex and especially sex in comparison to Faith like GROSS GROSSSSSSS. The entire thing is SO DISGUSTING and misogynistic AND it is part of why I genuinely do not give A FUCK about the events of seeing red as far as my love of spuffy goes because while that was absolutely the most traumatizing to watch not only was it so completely out of left field and out of character that it just doesn’t make sense in the narrative and is so obviously joss whedon coming over the loud speaker and going “women who enjoy sex with men I don’t approve of should and always will be punished” but it is the ONLY time someone hurts her in this way and PROPERLY APOLOGIZES AND MAKES THE PROPER AMENDS!!!!

So until EVERY. SINGLE. violation of Buffy’s body is treated with the same level of outcry seeing red is by all the anti-spuffys I genuinely DO NOT CARE. I DONT CARE because I’m just so done with spuffy girlies having that thrown in our faces by the morality police who are listening to the tiny white male puritanical cop in their head.

ALSO the fact that Riley not only doesn’t think ANYTHING is off about Buffy (when Faith is doing an absolutely HORRIFIC JOB of acting like Buffy) so he not only sleeps with her BUT TELLS HER HE LOVES HER FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER!??!?!?!? WHILE SHE IS LITERALLY PINNED BENEATH HIM?!?!?!?!? AAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!! RILEY FINN I WILL KILL YOU IF IT IS THE LAST THING THAT I DO.

Edit: turns out op misinterpreted another post, and made an albeit poorly-worded response to it. It was not their intention to hurt those with intrusive thoughts, as they suffer from those as well. While they definitely could have worded things in better taste, it was not their intention to make a "thoughtcrimes are real" statement. I will delete this post if op wishes.

I am NOT going to respond directly to op because well I do not think they would treat me very well ! however I'm mad at this so I'm posting here

- urges are morally neutral. urges are morally neutral. whether or not you ACT on that urge determines morality. I thought we knew that intrusive thoughts are not representative of personal interests! I get violent urges towards human beings sometimes when I'm upset! But I don't act on them because that's bad and i know its bad!! I am not a bad person for having violent urges, I am a good person for not acting on them!

- "you don't have to question whether or not you're a piece of shit for wanting to harm...your pet" well op you see the people you're talking about probably already feel really fucking awful about these urges then and therefore are probably not acting on them. but here you are, making them feel so much fucking worse for something they genuinely have no control over

- insanely ableist language all around from op to be honest.

- "if you want to do gross things like animals in the wild that's fucked up" .....a lot of us are animals. "animal" comes with this gross parts too. you can be uncomfortable with it and cater your online experience to avoid it but like. animals are going to do animal things man. a lot of predatory nonhumans hunt deer and that's cool! Good for them! I am uncomfortable around guns, so I generally don't interact with nonhumans who frequently post about hunting. Maybe people posting about their violent or otherwise gross urges upsets you, which is really valid! Most intrusive thoughts ARE extremely upsetting, especially for the person having them. so instead of making them feel worse, just move on, block if you need to.

- all in all op is a fucking ableist asshole who only cares about the palatable side of nonhumanity.

Nonhumans, and humans! who have incredibly disturbing intrusive thoughts, urges, etc. and feel gross and awful about them: you are not a bad person. you cannot control intrusive thoughts, that's why they're called intrusive. your thoughts do not determine if you're a good being, whether or not you act on them does.

WC: 858 Warnings: Swearing? Takes place during the dance in 2x10. Reader has envious/jealous feelings towards Devi, but no Devi hate

Ben was walking through the hall when he heard a sniffle. Confused, he poked his head into the nearby classrooms before finally spotting you in one. You were sitting at a random desk, dress flowing uncomfortably around your body in the same space between the table and your body. Your makeup had tear tracks through it, your mascara running down slightly with the tears that stained your face. Your face was warm and a bit splotchy from crying, your nose red.

If you had been in a more normal state of mind, you would have been upset that the person who found you was Ben. You and Ben had a slightly complicated relationship, sometimes being friendly while other times it seemed the two of you couldn’t hate each other more. It was different from him and Devi’s relationship; their relationship thrived on academic rivalry and one upping each other with insults. It seemed like when you and Ben were in a hate stage, you two genuinely hated each other. Though, the hate was one sided on your part, but you didn’t know that.

Ben slowly walked into the class, cautious of the fact that you could start yelling at him for talking to you while you were in this state.

“Y/n?” He asked cautiously. You looked up, confused as to why Ben was here as you weren’t expecting him. “What’s going on? What happened?” He walked over to you, sitting in the desk next to you, his eyes never leaving yours.

“Nothing, it’s stupid.” You said, looking away, “You’ll probably laugh at and insult me so.”

Ben was hurt that you’d think he would make fun of something that was making you so upset, but as he always played along with your “I hate you game”, he understood why you’d think that.

“Y/n, I’m not gonna laugh at you, or-or insult you.” He said gently, making you look back to him, “Seriously, what’s going on?”

You took a deep breath before speaking. “I got played. You know, I thought that someone wanted me when they didn’t and it sucks.”

Ben nodded, knowing how that felt. He decided to tell you about his experience to try and make you feel better about your own.

“Well, uh, I’ve been played too. Yeah you know, Devi played Paxton and I at the same time so, I know how you feel. And you’re right, it does suck.”

“Yeah I knew about that,” You said, nodding your head, “I’m sorry she did that. It’s shitty.”

Ben agreed with you, nodding his head when a quiet “yeah” slipped past his lips.

“I thought he liked me. He said he did so much and always would make me feel so… wanted and then he ditched me for someone else.”

“Look, whoever it is and whoever they ditched your for, forget about them alright?”

“It was Paxton. He ditched me for Devi, after he told me he wasn’t interested in Devi. She double times him and he wants her, I mean what does she have that I don’t?”

“Nothing y/n,” Ben shook his head, leaning his elbows on his legs to get closer to you, “there is nothing that Devi has that you don’t. You’re beautiful and smart and funny and really witty, trust me I’d know. Paxton played you and yeah, it sucks and it hurts, I know, but don’t think that it happened because of you. It’s his loss y/n, seriously.”

You looked over at Ben, sniffling. He was right, and somewhere in you you knew it.

“Thanks Ben. You actually made me feel a lot better.” A laugh slipped past your lips.

Ben chuckled too, “Yeah I often have that effect on people.” He said, smiling.

“You know if I had found you in this position I probably would have made fun of you. It wouldn’t be every day you see Ben Gross crying during a dance, so.”

He laughed, looking down for a second before meeting your eyes again. “I know.”

“But I’m glad you kept your word and didn’t make fun of me. It means a lot.”

“Of course.” He nodded. Suddenly he stood up, placing his hand out to you. “Come on.”

You stared at him questioningly.

“We are gonna clean your makeup up and then we’re going back to the dance, and you are going to forget all about Paxton and Devi and anything else that would make you upset, and you are going to have a great time. Maybe you’ll even save a dance for me.” He smiled at you.

You couldn’t hold back your smile as you stood, grabbing his hand.

He led you to the bathroom and waited outside while you tried to salvage your makeup through your tears, then walked back to the dance with you.

You and Ben danced all night together, getting along better than anyone had ever seen. That was the first night you began looking at Ben Gross in a different light, the first night he gave you butterflies. Ben, on the other hand, savored that night, not knowing how long the bliss between the two of you would last.

Good thing for him, that bliss never seemed to go away.

- definitely one of the bolder ones when it comes to his crush :0

- he doesn’t shy away from calling you little nicknames at every chance he gets

- “you okay, darling?” “how’s my angel, hm?” “c’mere, baby, sit down. my home is yours, you know that, don’t you?”

- he eats up every single reaction you give him with a wide grin on his face <3 his favourite is when you get shy or flustered he thinks it’s so cute <3

- he also purposefully thinks out loud and kinda speaks to you as if he’s already your boyfriend (if that makes sense ?) in a lot of situations :0 - like he’ll give you compliments that don’t necessarily sound like something that comes from your friend (but not in a creepy, gross, icky way don’t worry 🫶)

- for example, if you’re showing him an outfit you like or new clothes you bought, he’ll sit there and say something like “yeah, it suits you, i like it.” and that would be enough. but then he’ll go like, “you’re so pretty, you know that? prettiest thing i’ve ever seen… y’like a little angel, aren’t you?”

- izana genuinely thinks you fell down from heaven. there’s no way you didn’t when you’re so perfect and beautiful <3

- another situation he does that in is when another guy is involved 🧍‍♀️- once he’s successfully managed to scare off the poor guy that just wanted to get your number, he’ll stand there next to you saying stuff like “if he comes and speaks to you, you tell me, okay? can’t have anyone thinkin’ they can take you away from me, can i?”

- idk if you already guessed but he’s very protective of you and he can get jealous pretty easily :0 - if you bring up any other person in front of him and he thinks there’s a possibility that you have a crush on them, he’ll bring up every single negative thing he can think of to do with that person (even if it’s something silly and insignificant). bro is having none of it

- “c’mon, you can do better than them!”

- so yeah he kinda just acts like he’s your boyfriend already (in his head you’re his so it’s not surprising)

- you can tell he has a soft spot for you - he can be perceived as quite intimidating, threatening, simply just scary by some people, but of course he has to be he has a gang to run !!

- not with you. he’s almost like a different person when he’s with you - izana is always so calm and gentle and patient with you <3 he doesn’t even think he really has it in him to be upset with you <3

- hehe izana likes to cuddle with you a lot :0 like when you come over to watch a movie or something he always has you tucked into his side, half asleep <3 - does he stare at you when you sleep? yeah… its because you’re so pretty don’t worry 🫶

- or he’s just trying to guess what dream you’re having idk

- but you see. izana has his secret weapon. and that is his guitar 😼 - ooo he loves being able to bring out his guitar in the evening when you’re at his house and play your favourite songs <3

- he will literally ask you to give him songs to learn for you. it doesn’t matter how hard they are, even if he thinks it’ll take him years to learn, he’ll still do it for you <3

- and then he’ll play them all for you when you’re sat in his room at god knows what time of night, both of you smiling like idiots because it’s such a nice moment between you :((

- sometimes he likes to write little songs or tunes about you ! he’ll never show them to you but he does

- i also think he would take you with him every time he goes to get a new fish for his tank hehe

- he lets you pick out the one you like the most and if you want, he lets you give it a name n everything - and because they’re tropical fish they’re all super pretty and colourful so you’re there trying to pick just one like 😮 and it makes him giggle

- once you picked one out because you said it was the same colours as his earrings so it was “an izana fish” and now it’s his favourite <3

- he also has one that’s got your favourite colours on it and he named it after you <3 - if he ever sees those two fish swimming around with each other he’s sat there like “yeah see even the fish know we’re meant to be 🤷‍♀️”

- it doesn’t really take him long to tell you, he’s pretty straight forward with it too :0 - might not take the rejection too well but it’s fine because we love izana so we won’t reject him 😏

- he would find some random thing to blame it on anyways - even if you rejected him and smacked him in the face he still wouldn’t be mad at you

- maybe…

- he definitely acts like he’s not interested in you in that way at all. no matter how much his friends want to tease him or suggest that he might have a little crush on you, he’ll never admit it

- lowkey because he thinks he’ll get over it in a few weeks so he’s like okay whatever (spoiler : he does not get over you and he’s actually in love with you 🤷‍♀️)

- shinichiro will be like “there’s no way you don’t wanna date them, stop lying” and suddenly wakasa’s pulling out every single rejection shin’s ever received telling him he’s not allowed to give him dating advice until he gets a girlfriend 🧍‍♀️

- so it takes him a while to start making moves on you :/

- at first he tries to give you the hint by doing the tiniest thing ever and expecting you to just be like “ohhh, he likes me, makes sense 😮”

- for example, he’ll sit and stare at you, not in a weird-staring-problem way, he’s just admiring you <3 - but if you turn to look in his direction he’ll hold eye contact with you for a second smirk and then look away or be like “what?”

- and he thinks that’s all he has to do meanwhile you’re sat there like huh ??

- i think he could fit into the ‘ladies man’ category 🤨 i saw someone call him that once and agreed immediately. there’s no way he looks and acts like that and isn’t, you can’t tell me otherwise.

- but he gets his friends not to tell you if you don’t know already :0 just because he doesn’t want you to think he’s just messing with you for no reason, he wants you to know that his feelings are genuine <3

- he likes to tease you and try to make you flustered n stuff <3 (obviously) - his little secret weapon is that he owns a gym so he can come up with some ass excuse to teach you self defence

- at first he just teaches you fr because even though this was kinda just an excuse to see you more and flirt with you, he does genuinely want to make sure you can protect yourself if you ever need to - he won’t admit it but he does worry about you 🫶

- but then he really starts trying to fluster you n stuff <3 he does little things like leaning in closer to your face and looking at your lips, leaving lingering touches wherever he’s holding you, whispering in your ear how good you’re doing, stuff like that

- points out that you’re getting flustered too which makes you want to punch him in the face 😐

- “your cheeks are red, sweets, you got somethin’ you wanna tell me?”

- but you both enjoy his gym sessions a lot because you always find something to giggle over until your stomach hurts

- he likes to do those little flirty things outside the gym, too, especially if you’re with other people - attention whore wakasa confirmed 🫶 he doesn’t like being ignored by you at all

- he’s always got his hands resting on your shoulders or he’ll put a hand on the small of your back to move past you - other times he’ll make sure you always stay sat down next to him with his arm around your shoulders

- of course if it makes you uncomfortable he’ll stop ! he doesn’t want to upset you or weird you out or anything

- he likes to scare off other guys like he will straight up tell them you’re his. then he has to go and convince you that he was a shitty guy and that he was no good for you

- he’s not the most romantic person ever so he never really tries to come up with cute little secret date ideas, even though senju throws the odd idea at him he’s always like “i’ll see them at the gym tomorrow though, it’s fine!”

- if you reject him he’ll probably be embarrassed - purely because then shinichiro would have something to make fun of him for in return 🤼

- an angel.

- i feel like he won’t ever expect you to like him back so he never really makes any proper moves on you :/

- he kinda just goes along pretending he doesn’t have a crush on you and just enjoys hanging out with you when he can :( - very much just admires you from afar type of crush

- he does ask you to meet up a lot though ! like you’ll get home after meeting up with him and 5 minutes later you get a text saying something like - “when do you finish work tomorrow?” “are you free any other time this week? today was really fun!”

- baby just wants to see you :(

- you also can’t meet up with him without getting a text on your way home saying something like “are you home yet?” “let me know when you get home it’s getting dark :)” “be careful, btw, next time i’ll give you a lift home!”

- he thinks he’d go crazy if anything bad happened to you :/

- it literally keeps him awake at night sometimes. ask izana, he’s had plenty of “do you think they’re home yet, they haven’t responded yet?” messages from a worried kakucho 😭

- which is one of the reasons why he doesn’t want to tell you about his involvement with gangs - the last thing he wants is to have you become involved in any way possible with something to do with his or any other gangs and to have you be put in danger because of him

- he also doesn’t want to scare you off :/ - him thinking you won’t ever reciprocate his feelings is enough, he doesn’t need you disliking him or being weirded out by him on top of it

- kakucho isn’t the most verbal person ever when it comes to affection - more because he gets nervous but he also just prefers good old physical affection <3

- he likes to cuddle with you. it doesn’t matter what you’ve planned on doing with him that day, he will always find a way to end up back at someone’s house so you can both cuddle <3

- he was nervous the first time he tried to initiate it because he didn’t want you to turn around and smack him in the middle of the movie you were watching 💀 - but it’s fine because you didn’t and now it feels like a little routine <3

- sometimes he even organises movie nights for the sole purpose of being able to watch the entire thing whilst lying on your chest 🫶

- “y/n roll over- no, just onto your back, idiot!”

- he also falls asleep on you a lot <3 - he feels very safe and comfortable around you and it’s one of the only times he feels truly relaxed so he comes out of his shell a lot more <3

- so sometimes when he’s feeling confident he’ll kiss your hand hehe - but then plays it off as a joke or tries to convince you that that’s just what friends do

- he doesn’t really get jealous, more worried that you’ll find someone that you like more than him and you’ll eventually leave him :((

- he doesn’t say anything about it to you though he just sits and worries about it by himself 😭

- i think he likes listening to music with you <3 he likes to show you his record collection and gets you to show him songs that you like

- he makes a playlist of songs you show him and puts it on in when he’s lying in bed thinking about you and smiling like an idiot <3

- he really wants you to like izana. you and izana are probably the most important people in his life so he really wants you to get along well 🫶

- he doesn’t think he’ll ever confess to you, he’s happy with what y’all have with each other atm 🤷‍♀️

- unless izana steps in and tries to convince him to do otherwise 😏

So people... Genuinely believe... The AI generated looking account of being Shelby's cousin is real?

For context someone who said they were Shelby's cousin blames shelby for the abuse, said she mad them cry and that she did it to herself. And that she was yelling at Wilbur and to support Wilbur.

Shelby commented on it saying that she only had one cousins and it clearly wasn't them.

Now people are questioning why "she got so defensive" to a fan account.

Context over.

All I have to say is... BITCH ARE YOU FUCKING BLIND?-

Your going to tell me, WITH CONFIDENCE Shelby, her friends and her family don't know who own cousin is?

Your going to tell me that everything Shelby's said doesn't line up? "he had hole in his walls" Fundy did a vlog with Wilbur that showed IN THE VIDEOS that Wilbur did indeed have holes in his walls. Fundy even said it looked gross.

"he was violent" over the last couple years. Not now. YEARS. Content creator and non-content creator have said be was a violent man.

Minx said he was violent but was written off as an alcoholic.

Bilzo was written off as a small content creator.

Niki was told she should THANK HIM because he made her.

Other were seen as clout-chasers.

And it took one, mentally stable and popular person to be like "Hey he's a bad guy" for people to go back and look huh.. Maybe he is bad.

There are people who already knew and were being validated. People who were annoyed because they said there piece and got shit for it and now had people back-tracking when it was too late.

Heck even Scott Smajor said Live on stream that he'd obliviously knew longer then anyone else and that's why Wilbur was no longer in MCC videos.

And suddenly your like, "she's getting a bit defensive isn't she?" Well yeah.

She's human.

That's like telling someone, "your family didn't actually get hurt", "they did. You know they did" then them being like "OMG THEY'RE SINGLING ME OUT THIS PROVES THEY'RE LYING!"

Do you know how stupid that sounds when you write it out. And then to assume that no one talked to anyone in private about anything?

Do you really think that Wilbur's friends AND random people would have co-ordinate an attack on him for like 3-5 years straight?

And this is straight the Emma situation. People are seeing that you can create a "successful" allegations using AI and have younger audiences BELIEVE IT.

You assume this allegation is true but don't assume that someone could be using AI to write that (because it was screenshot of text with a popular image of Wilbur in the background) because they like him?

Did you not assume that maybe... Just maybe, someone would (like Emma) make up some random BS for personal gain and then exploit it?

Did you not assume that with an Apology come with the acknowledgement that you did those things? Because Wilbur didn't deny it. He expressed he did do it actually, he just did a terrible job of justify it.

Did your assumption not lead you to the conclusion that text is easier to fake then a real person with real tears telling you?

Did you not assume that it's become a trend to fake things for clout?

Did you not look back and go "but there was tons of evidence BEFORE shelby said anything"?

Did you not go back and think, shelby's a person and she's allowed to be upset. She also knows her own family and probably know the social media account that her family uses, so it can't certainly be that person?

Or do you have your values so far up, that you cannot see AI when its right in front of you.

If you can't see one of these many things, then either you need to think about yourself and do some soul searching or your genuinely deluded.

There was even a comment say it looks like an AI generated response, and guess what? When I went back to take a ss of it for this post the user had suddenly been reported and suddenly couldn't use there account.

Weird right?

Also it you're a "oh I'm neutral on the matter. I don't support anyone" person. I hope you seek a conclusion because you clearly can't see the one in front of you.

And to the "But what if was really?" or "support Wilbur" squad. Refer to all previous points and if you still have this opinion, I kindly ask you to leave. Touch grass. Go back to school. And to hopefully better yourself as a person.

i previously followed a certain well known artist originally for qftim but they also started drawing poppy’s playtime stuff, particularly dogday and catnap and it’s always left a bad taste in my mouth. they depict catnap doing weird things to dogday, being incredibly aggressive/malicious and clearly suggestive. dogday seems to never be happy about it, instead giving scared or upset expressions..? idk maybe i’m being nitpicky but it just feels wrong. lmk what yall think and no i’m not @‘ing the artist or mentioning their name i’m not going to bother them or ruin anything they’ve got going on

I'm going to puke, not even joking, this makes me feel sick, WHO thought it was a good idea to have Zack Tyler Eisen and Michael DiMartino on a big Zutara episode??

The second season was genuinely like... Really upsetting to listen to, it was just the most squeaky clean, judgment free praise of ATLA ever and of Bryke in particular, which was even more egregious because you can tell Janet and Dante aren't even into it sometimes but they have to sell it and. God I kinda loathed listening to most of it? Idk if I'm gonna bother with season 3 and beyond tbh, this was just. So fucking annoying to listen to in a way season 1 wasn't, and season 3 is 100% deserving of some serious criticism but they literally were incapable of even acknowledging how dumb The Guru is and I just genuinely don't think I'll have the mental capacity to listen to them praise the season that's the most deserving of criticism

God the contemptuous way Mike talks about the Zutara moment... I hate him. Like, fr, why are they allowed to shit so hard on Zutara but no one is allowed to come on the podcast to say how gross Kataang is? I'm flabbergasted, I'm shocked, I'm disappointed, and frankly? I'm indignant.

In a series with so, so very little in terms of representation in canon, a series that had what I THOUGHT was 2-3 confirmed POC (we'll get to that 2-3 bit btw), 1 Jewish man, a handful of women who's writing is hit-or-miss, and no queer characters because according to one of the creators "their identities don't matter"... (Tell that to the straight characters like Henry, Thomas, Allison, Susie, Linda who's not even a character and didn't need to exist in the first place-)

Norman Polk is white.

I'm. astonished. For the record, because I know someone will likely bring it up, I am aware that there was never a point in the series where it was ever actually confirmed that Norman was a black man. But it was very much the consensus for most people that he was coded to be POC. To see this is just.. it's disheartening.

Dreams Come to Life seemingly (egg on my face for thinking Norman was black ig???) had 3 POC characters; Norman, Thomas, and Jacob. This was... maybe changed to 2 later on, as JDS went back on coding Thomas as a black man (an announcement they made in a Discord server of all things?? Never publically???) which they may have gone back on again later since the wiki (not official, for the record) recognizes him as black.

3 characters, and we're now down to possibly one; I say possibly because it depends on how Thomas is represented in this book. If he's black, we've got 2. If he's white?

One. One character who's never made an appearance in the games; only in spinoff material in a book. One.

In the simplest way I can put it, I'm upset. There's lots more I can talk about here; how I think this opening is a disservice and bastardization of the original writing for cutting so much out, how while it can look worse (I've read a good handful of fnaf books I KNOW it can look worse) I can't say it really looks any good, how Buddy looks like he's 12, how the yellows are garish and piss-looking. But what has me the most upset is Norman, because he was 1 of 2-3 POC characters, out of a cast of dozens upon dozens. And sure, there could be more. But we only had 3 confirmed. Maybe 2.

And now we may be down to one.

I actually spoke with my partner a few nights ago about how nervous I was about the graphic novel. Because of how the cover looked, I wasn't expecting anything great. But I knew there was a chance they'd double down and be like 'Nope, actually Thomas is white, always was' I was anticipating that, and I still am. And I looked at them and told them something roughly along the lines of- "I can live with them making Thomas white, cause of them trying to back-peddle once, I wouldn't be surprised, but I don't know how I'd handle them whitewashing Norman."

I still don't know how to handle it. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. People have done amazing designs of Norman for AUs and personal headcanons. Hell, all the staff really. And a majority of them, you'll find, are black. Almost everyone thought he was black. Not this pale Afton knock-off (seriously his hair looks greasy as hell, I know it's a stylization of the lighting but it looks gross)

I'm just throwing my thoughts out here for anyone who cares. Maybe most people won't mind, and fine. Again, it wasn't stated, it was seemingly coding, but clearly, we were wrong because he's paler than the fucking moon. But this is upsetting. This is genuinely upsetting to see. We have so little rep in this series, and the number is somehow dwindling.

(Also the only correct ways to do the mistaken for a couple thing is with the characters either just rolling with it "to avoid explaining" or to one of them to exaggerate on the awkwad denial and accidentally offend/upset the other, like it happened with Kataang in Cave Of Two Lovers)

Also if we're talking side-by-side fighting stance that screams romantic symbolism, let's be fucking serious here. The dragons literally make a heart.

This one was totally okay until the bullshit of "Mai's kiss and hug didn't help Zuko feel better at all and after this he shuts her out." During all of Nightmares And Daydreams we see him cuddling with her, Mai trying to cheer him up, and him even confessing his inner-turmoil about having to essentially put on an act to please Ozai.

She grew a lot as a character and Zuko didn't take her joke in that first episode to heart. He is doing the exact opposite of shutting her out, he actively turns to her for comfort.

"The physical distance between them shrunk"

Yes, and? Seriously, what about it? Is there a line missing here? Am I not seeing something? WHAT IS GOING ON?

"The lightning to the heart feels like a romantic scene"

I was gonna let it slide, like I was doing with all the others "This could work for a romantic relationship, but it's not inherently romantic", but that last line I just can't stand by. DRAMA IS NOT THE SAME AS ROMANCE.

"The simmilar scene for a canon ship doesn't have the same focus on the hands as this one does"

Hand-close ups are exclusive to married people, it is known *rolls eyes*

"It looks like they're about to kiss"

Bruh, what? Looking up at someone who is looking down at you is like leaning in for a kiss?

"Many of these scenes (not the ship-baiting ones obviously) could have been written, framed, animated in a purely platonic way, giving it more of a playful sibling vibe, but the creators deliberately chose overtly romantic or at least ambiguous tones"

I think I should put in my two cents considering the Hazbin hotel leaked Angel Dust clip. I’ll say that this post should be one absolutely massive trigger warning. If you’re sensitive please don’t read this, I’m pretty blunt. Also I’m only talking about a small leak but SPOILERS!!!

So before I make any points I’ll start by saying that I’m not an inherent fan of vivziepop, this isn’t meat riding, it’s a genuine attempt at open conversation and discussion. I’ll also say I’m a survivor myself and while I don’t claim to speak for anyone else I have some ground to stand on here. I completely understand that people can be triggered by this type of imagery and will at least skip this particular scene or episode, I promise I’m not talking about you guys.

You wanna know who I am talking about though? The weird ass moral police I’ve been watching mobilize. It’s crazy how people are making a big deal out of this. I’ve seen three arguments and all of them are terrible in themselves and being used to justify terrible behavior.

I’ve only seen people claim three major things, this is a bad depiction of a s/a survivor and situation, this is something that’s too graphic and immoral to put in a TV show, the fact that the singing and dancing lightens the tone in a way people find distasteful. I’m going to be trying to prove why I find these arguments mostly ridiculous and unfounded.

As for argument one, s/a survivors come in all shapes and sizes and hyper sexuality happens to be an incredibly common reaction to sexual trauma. I haven’t watched episode one and two but even if I had I’d still have too small of a sample size to determine the entire tone of an incredibly messed up complex dynamic between too incredibly interesting and layered characters. It’s ridiculous to have so many assumptions and expectations of an *11 second leaked clip.*

Secondly. Creative freedom is possible the most important thing in art. If we didn’t have the freedom to put what we wanted on paper or on screen then we wouldn’t have had so much societal change recently. Just because you might find something distasteful and immoral doesn’t mean it absolutely has to be hated on and removed. It’s okay to not like things because you find them gross, it’s okay to not enjoy graphic depictions of serious subjects, it’s not okay to start internet wars over moral bullshit. It’s okay to be mad in silence sometimes, guys.

Thirdly. I kinda get this one, I don’t agree with it but I do understand the point. The idea you don’t want a serious subject framed with a sexy pop song is not inherently bad, it’s just something that makes me think you wouldn’t have liked Hazbin Hotel anyway. I actually appreciate the fact they are using the creative medium to make bold and shocking decisions but I get some people are sensitive to new things, that’s fine. Where this argument gets ridiculous is when people act like this is very out of line for a show like this. This isn’t a Saturday morning kids cartoon it’s and adult animated show about people in hell. It’s highly likely that this won’t be the worst thing we see, you either need to heed the trigger warnings at the beginning of each episode or get over it.

You’ll notice that I didn’t bring up anything about the merchandise pins or the storyboard artist, I did this because they aren’t arguments but barely related attempts at character assassinations. When you spend five minutes thinking about them critically you come to realize that there is nothing substantial to those arguments.

I’d like to finish up talking about how I think this scene is doing more good than harm. It’s important to make people uncomfortable when you’re talking about things so horrible like s/a and rape. It shouldn’t be meek and palatable for a general audience, it should upset you. I remember hearing something in a video game once that stuck with me. There was a character who said that when you’re sick you need strong medicine and that the strongest medication is very bitter.

I think episode four will be some very bitter medicine.

Vox's hypnosis actually works on Alastor. The thing about it is that Vox's hypnosis works like real life hypnosis. (ie. It can only make someone do something they already want to do). Normally everyone wants to do what Vox says because hes Vox. Alastor is different, because he doesn't buy into basically anything that Vox is selling.

It gets a little more complicated when it comes to the two of them spending time around each other, though, because Alastor doesn't even know what he wants. Alastor doesn't realize that's how Vox's hypnosis works. He thinks it can just make you do anything, so there will be times where Vox will try something and it won't work, and there will be times where it does work. Alastor just thinks he's more able to resist Vox because he's an Overlord. This isn't true.

Hypnotization is one of the few ways Alastor can be made to say or do something genuine even when he's not exactly ready to, and not being in control of his own actions is one of his greatest fears. So, naturally, any time Vox successfully hypnotizes Alastor, Alastor ultimately comes out of it feeling gross and violated.

Which Vox doesn't care about, because what's the big deal? Alastor wouldn't have done it if he didn't really want to deep down. Whatever he told Alastor to do, it probably resulted in the two of them having a good time, so Alastor has nothing to be upset about. Plus, Alastor has never told Vox no. His behavior after the fact suggests he's unhappy, but he's never outright told Vox to stop because doing the nice thing even though he wasn't prepared to still conflicts him. What if he says no and then they never do the nice thing again because he can't suck it up enough to initiate anything without the hypnosis?

Alastor ends up using it as a crutch. If he doesn't want to admit to having liked something, he can just say "well I was forced to do it." The fact he would admit something like that is telling on its own, because it implies he's even more unnerved and humiliated by the thought of people knowing he enjoys intimacy than he is by the thought of people knowing Vox has power over him.

The other problem is that he can be especially deranged sometimes and pull a "haha well i was actually just pretending to be hypnotized. I did it because I wanted to, not because he made me." But sometimes, he doesn't actually know. Because he doesn't believe Vox's hypnosis only gets people to do things they already wanted to do, sometimes he psyches himself out and doesn't know what he actually wanted to do vs what he didn't actually want to do. He gets really frustrated about it. In the end he's only really hurting himself, unless he somehow finds a way to gaslight Vox by lying.

But Vox is just like. Lol this is a win for me i get to do awesome stuff with alastor no regrets im getting all the attention from him EVER this is awesome

Its a really dubious thing because Alastor is just made so uncomfortable by the hypnosis, but Vox won't stop, but Alastor won't tell him to stop because what if once he stops they never do anything nice together again? And admitting any of that stress and fear to Vox would undo him. It'd shatter him.

I have lots of scenarios about this in my brain it can fuck them up so bad. Vox using his hypnosis to make Alastor confront every single desire he thought he locked away in a box at the back of his mind. Vox being endeared by that vulnerabiltiy, so positively intoxicated by it that he doesn't see that instead of fixing Alastor, it's making him worse.

Or maybe he does, and maybe he prefers it that way just to see Alastor express something other than his facade, to know Alastor actually cares even if he won't say it, to command Alastor's attention in a way no one else can.
