Something else that gets me…
… About s1 is during the Poor Communication Kills ep, when Neal (somehow?) only just notices the ring photo and gets convinced the person who ‘‘‘‘‘kidnapped’’’’’ Kate (I’ll eat my photoboard if she was actually as kidnapped as he thought she was—like I’m sure Adler was pressuring her a bit in some way, I don’t think she was a monster, but I highly doubt she was the poor helpless victim acting under threat, she was another agent of Adler’s, she proves that by calling him later, she just used Neal’s blind devotion to her to play him)… You can tell he’s particularly shaken up (him losing control of his emotions and physically lashing out is usually reserved for Kate in s1, but this is only indirectly related) and then Mozzie genuinely tells him he’s sorry. No immediate ‘ha ha said you couldn’t trust suits.’ Genuinely tells him he’s sorry. And even when Mozzie does go back to the anti government rhetoric, it’s much more gentle and not proud or ‘I told you so.’ Mozzie knows just how painful this apparent discovery is for Neal, and he’s taking it absolutely seriously. I don’t feel like he’d do that if it were anyone else. Notably, he also never collected a file on Peter, even though Neal said ‘everyone’ so he went and got Lauren and Jones (that pic was clearly not Jones).
I feel like you see/get a lot more evidence of Peter’s fondness stretching back before he caught Neal, but this like a small moment of seeing that the same is true for Neal, in a way. He’s been a lost kid, a run away, all his life, running w/ other run aways. Somehow, and some point, something in Peter’s investigation of him turned into something else? I think Neal was projecting a father figure onto Peter for far longer than he strictly realised—their dynamic shifted from just Peter trying to arrest him to something more friendly. And what’s an all but orphan to feel about someone who cares where he is all the time, who gives him respect and thinks he’s smart/praises his abilities but also scolds and tries to get him to stop running wild? He sent him birthday cards and cookies (apparently??? I dunno when, but apparently). Postcards. That’s the kinda thing a kid overseas sends to their parents. I think you also see it a little in the flashback ep in s2, where Neal is all excited about being ‘at the top of the pile’ of files. He’s all like ‘but I was your favourite, right, right???’ Seriously, how did Matt Bomer nail the human embodiment of a puppy??? I do think pre actually working/spending time together it was completely subconscious, like that Marco Polo thing from Bones where she talks about how much it meant to have someone care where you were at any given time. For all he’s gotten good at living on his own, Neal missed family and I think a part of him latched onto Peter to fill that void w/out his even realising (completely understandable, when written in character, Peter is an extremely fatherly dude). He may not have totally realised it, but he felt a bond w/ Peter. And Mozzie presumably witnessed that.
It just feels like it’s too soon for Mozzie to be accepting Neal’s feelings about Peter w/ such sincerity if it’s just based on since his release from prison, bc he sees Peter/the FBI as still controlling Neal. The first ep makes it already so clear how familiar Peter and Neal are w/ each other, and since Neal and Mozzie clearly at least stayed in touch, Mozzie presumably at least knew Neal’s side of it. He’s not rubbing it in his face bc this is an apparent betrayal that he knows Neal would never have thought possible, and that must go further back than a couple of months. And tbh, going by Mozzie’s earnestness, I don’t think he thought it’d happen, either.
I dunno if any of that made sense, but it’s just. Interesting to me how they don’t really focus on it, it’s a tiny moment, but they make it very clear just how upsetting this apparent discovery is to Neal, w/ Mozzie’s reaction making it even deeper.

hi sash!!!!! BEGGING you to teach me all about the boyish bitch / ultimate drama / WHOEVER she is because by god i am. OBSESSED w her. ALSO HOPE YOU HAD A SWAG DAY!!
oh my god i have to write this entire fucking thing again bc tumblr crashed while i was on the last fucking sentence i hope i die
BUT. kotoko is a character in the danganronpa side game ultra despair girls !! she’s one of my faves from there, along w masaru (red haired kid on my kin list)
tw for abuse, sexual assault, rape, and suicide in her story
SO kotoko was a child actress who was insanely successful bc of her cute looks. she didn’t particularly want to be an actress (or like, she liked acting, but didn’t like the stress and adult attention it brought onto her) but kept it up bc she didn’t want to upset her mother
her mother, wanting to further kotoko’s career, began to prostitute kotoko when she was literally only 10 years old - and prostituted herself along with her, advertising them as a “mother-daughter set”. kotoko’s dad literally didn’t care abt this AT all, happy to spend all the money kotoko earned from acting and also having an affair :/ kotoko also developed a trigger to the word gentle bc of this abuse, bc that’s a word her rapists would use to “reassure” her abt what they were doing to her
she was also enrolled in hope’s peak elementary, where she was put in the troublemakers class and made a set of friends: masaru, nagisa, jataro, and monaca, who were all also being abused by their parents. bc of the abuse they were all facing, the five of them made a suicide pact and planned to jump from a roof together, but were “saved” by junko, who told them their parents were wrong for what they were doing to them and convinced them to create a paradise for children where they’d never have to be abused by adults again
which is what they did !! w monaca’s smarts and money, kotoko and the others (now calling themselves the warriors of hope) overtook a place called towa city, brainwashing the kids that lived there and sending out giant monokuma robots to kill any adults, which forced the remaining adults to go into hiding underground. another rule of this “paradise” was that if any kid felt themself becoming a demon (adult) they were to kill themself immediately which is. fun ^-^ towa city ALSO served as the location for a side killing game to trigger happy havoc, where the loved ones of the thh cast were kept and then hunted by the warriors
kotoko also brutally killed her parents during all of this btw ^-^ and showed no remorse for it, only wishing she could have done it again and again. which she was so real for <3
she does do some genuinely fucked up shit over the course of the game, the most notable one being the mini game where she kidnaps komaru (protag) and traps her in a machine that sexual assaults her. it’s. yeah it’s fucking danganronpa it’s disgusting it’s literally the worst part of the entire series
the game treats her like absolute shit though and she’s constantly used for fanservice (and i mean fucking constantly) which is disgusting in general but is even fucking worse considering 1. she’s a minor (despite the fact she claims she’s not), and 2. her backstory literally revolving around her being a survivor of rape
BUT that’s her story! she does survive the series though, and continues to live in (now non-child-controlled) towa city with her friends (minus monaca)
personality wise though shes v outgoing and energetic and loves all things pink and sparkly and cute!! shes real fucking mean tho but honestly given the horrific shit she’s been thru she’s entirely justified in that + i think she shld be even MORE mean <3 also i genuinely think she’s a super interesting character because she has this whole bubblegum and sparkles personality but then… she’s the ultimate drama. and she’s been through some shit. so it’s entirely likely that this persona she shows is just an act, because she’s been taught from childhood that she’s only wanted when she’s cute, and if she’s angry and disobedient and upset and “ugly” then she’ll be hurt or abandoned.. v interesting to analyse
overall she’s one of my fave dr characters for sure!!! i just wish she was treated better by the game bc they honestly treat her like shit

Yan Childe, Diluc, Kaeya, Zhongli, Beidou & Ningguang / Courting Darling.
Tumblr media
Warnings: Stalking, implied blackmail, kidnapping, and gaslighting. Note: this is a bit of an amalgamation from different asks i’ve gotten, put into one thing bc i thirst for these six characters so hard .
Tumblr media
Childe:
“What’s life without a little adventure? You can stand to miss work for a day or two, it’ll still be there waiting for you when we get back. People have even gone so far as to say I’m an absolute joy to be around. You want to know who said that? Sorry, that source is staying a secret.”
Childe is an erratic whirlwind of highs and lows. You never know what to expect from him, and he likes it that way, always keeping you on your toes. He doesn’t bother with having his friendliness appear genuine. If you want to doubt his goodwill, then so be it, he won’t stop you. It just makes it all the more interesting to keep you around should you be wary of his presence.
He doesn’t care for the traditional conventions surrounding romance. It isn’t his thing, and he’s used to being considered the odd one out of every crowd, so why stop now? Childe doesn’t tone down any aspects of his bloodthirsty personality in your presence. It’s difficult to tell how serious he’s being since most of it takes the form of jokes or other lighthearted jests. In his mind, the fact he’s even spending so much time with you should make it obvious he’s interested. Whether that’s good or not.
You’re going to be dragged all over the place. Childe’s stamina is seemingly an infinite well, as he takes you from activity to activity. By the end of the day, you’ll be exhausted. Unfortunately, he doesn’t take no for an answer, weaseling his way into your schedule despite your protests. Childe is particularly fond of getting into situations where a fight is inevitable, purposefully taking you to areas with monsters to show off his combat prowess.
“Did you get a look at that, [First]? Aha, I haven’t had this much fun in ages! You already want to head back? Hm, I don’t know, the night is still young. Stop dragging your feet or I might just have to carry you. Not that I’m complaining, should that be the outcome. It’s up to you. Oh! Now that’s the spirit! I’ll try not to be hurt by how fast you’re moving now.”
Diluc:
“Ah, [First], I take it you’re doing well. I couldn’t help but notice you eyeing this book at the market earlier. I’ve had a copy of it for ages, but with how busy things are, rarely do I have time to read. I’d be appreciative should you accept this and give it a better home.”
Diluc is self-assured in many areas of his life, romance is not one of them. He knows how to carry himself in the company of businessmen, staying polite and vigilant, but this rigid method doesn’t work in his favor when it comes to wooing you. To soften the blow on his side, Diluc tells himself that it was never about a relationship anyway. That his main priority was and will always be to ensure your safety. He tells himself this, but... isn’t sure if he really believes it.
He’s a perfect example of pining from afar. Subconsciously, he’ll drift towards areas you tend to linger around, hoping to spot you amidst the bustling crowds. Each time he tells himself that this’ll finally be the time he approaches you. The opportunity is set before him, waiting to be taken advantage of, but he rarely follows through with his desire.
It frustrates Diluc to no end how easily others flock to you. He’ll stand there, still as a statue, eyes boring into whatever pest currently holds your attention. This would be the push to finally send him your way. It’s a surprise to you both when Mondstadt’s wine tycoon materializes by your side, politely asking to speak in private. Truth be told, he just can’t stand the thought of another person holding your attention that isn’t him.
“I apologize for my abruptness back there. There’s something I’ve been meaning to ask you about for some time, and well... would you consider having dinner with me tonight? I’d appreciate your company.”
Kaeya:
“It’s a funny thing, really. How we keep bumping into one another like this. Ah... that suspicious expression, it wounds me deep, sweetheart. When did you start looking at me like that, I wonder?”
There’s no doubting Kaeya’s interest in you, from the first time he sauntered over to you and started a conversation. The problem you have is deciding how genuine his advances are. While Kaeya might not be the textbook definition of a heart-wrenching playboy, you’re familiar enough with the many rumors surrounding him to be wary. It doesn’t help that he’ll point this out to you when guessing the source of your apprehension.
His methods are, oddly enough, effective. Kaeya balances the various aspects of seduction with ease. He reveals just enough about himself to draw out your attention, before focusing the conversation back onto you. You’ll never get to stop and realize how little you know about the man sitting in front of you, he makes certain of that.
Kaeya might hide certain aspects of himself, but his dubious morality is never concealed. He has you entirely wrapped around his finger, words validating his actions falling from his lips with the utmost ease; he’s a force to be reckoned with. You’ll start a conversation heated about something you’ve learned, only for it to end wondering why you were ever upset in the first place.
“Now, now, there’s no need to get all riled up over something like this. Don’t you trust me by now? When have I ever given you reason to doubt me? You need to take a look at the bigger picture. Hey, take a seat. I’ll sit here all night explaining to you if it’s necessary.”
→[More underneath the cut].
Zhongli:
“There must be something that I can assist you with. It may not look it, but I’m familiar with many fields of work, even obscure ones. Please allow me to lend a hand.”
Zhongli, despite having been around for many centuries, is somewhat clueless in romantic pursuits. He’s aware of his fondness for you, but doesn’t know what to do with it. This leads him to becoming your shadow for some time. He focuses on what he knows best: observation and processing new information. Your every little movement will be analyzed and tuck into the back of his mind for later usage.
Zhongli’s soft over the idea of you coming to rely on him for everything. He prides himself on his wealth of knowledge and work ethic, believing it a strong appeal, one that he puts on full display when you’re around. It’s not rare for you to overhear neighbors and friends speak highly about Zhongli. They’ll mention in passing how they were having difficulty with something, only for Zhongli to come around and help without asking for anything in return.
This is exactly what he’s been hoping and waiting for. Zhongli has patience and sets himself up to be a desirable partner in your eyes, the efforts from his labor coming into fruition. Before you even speak to him for the first time, you’re likely to think highly of him, having heard all the ways he’s helped people close to you. Now that the stage is properly set, he’s ready to make his interest in you more evident.
“I’ve heard a lot about you, [First]. Oh? You can say the same for me? Well, I hope I can live up to your expectations. I had just been on my way to Yanshang Teahouse, would you care to join me? My treat, of course.”
Beidou:
“You haven’t lived until you’ve experienced a voyage with my crew and I. I’ll set up a nice cabin just for you, how does that sound? Hm? Special treatment? Don’t worry your pretty little head about that, lass.”
Beidou’s attention is overwhelming and oftentimes dangerous. Traditional social conventions are nothing but a waste of time for her, meaning that common courtesy is disregarded in favor of always speaking her mind. Which might not be so bad if she wasn’t so amorous. Even the most oblivious person couldn’t miss Beidou’s overt favor towards you.
This reverent display of affection is only exacerbated when she’s drunk, face flushed and an arm swung tightly around your shoulder. She doesn’t care who sees, who’s judging, or what gossip will be born from her actions. Beidou makes a point of showing everyone in the vicinity that even if you aren’t officially partners yet, a claim has been staked on you.
Whether it be coercion or some other unsightly method, Beidou is intent on bringing you on her ship at least once. Or that’s how she initially phrased it to you. Imagine your surprise, that when you finally caved so she’d drop the subject, her crew was untying the ropes keeping the boat at port.
“The fun’s just getting started, you haven’t seen anything yet. Don’t get all teary-eyed yet, sweetheart, I know you’ll come around. This’ll be a story sung by sailors for generations to come.”
Ningguang:
“If I’m being honest, not many are given the opportunity to speak to me outside of business-related ventures. I never thought I’d find it this... pleasant. I hope you’ll continue to entertain me as you do now.”
Ningguang starts off her wooing in a subtle, almost coquettish manner. She is confident in her charm and brilliance. Not many have been gifted in the art of conversation to the same extent Ningguang has, her silver tongue paired with quick intellect making it difficult for you to escape. She’ll corner you verbally without you even noticing it.
Ningguang finds amusement in how you stumble over your words, pure of heart and not chained down by special interests. Your forthright but considerate demeanor intoxicates her. She’s used to people cowering in her presence or trying too hard to pursue their goals. You might even earn a rare compliment or two, disguised as politeness, that doesn’t register for hours.
She is a lady of fine taste. The sky’s the limit when it comes to her wealth, which is unrivaled throughout Tevyat, and you’ll be quick to notice this. Ningguang is most partial to sending you traditional Liyue adornments, believing the rich culture behind each piece suits your beauty. She’s also fond of the fact that when you wear her gifts, everyone in the vicinity will know it’s from her, due to its extraordinarily high cost.
“Do you like my latest gift, little dove? It was made custom with you in mind, an unrivaled display of craftmanship, if I may add. Wear this and carry me with you... always.”

oh i definitely think youre right about osu n im a lil sleep deprived but yeah!! i was so shocked! and the fact we couldnt seen dana's face while she was ordering sasa to carry out the attack is. hm. i think that osu genuinely thinks what hes doing is for the best, and he approached dana bc of her never showing criminals mercy + he trusts her. osu himself never expected himself to live this long bc the twins cared for him, but morae is someone hold no2 back while at the same time
upturning his entire family. the earlier chapters said he was good at planning and manipulating people to get what he wants, and even in the ‘I’ll trust in you and believe u no matter what so talk to me’ his phrasing felt. concerning ('why are you up?’ 'because everyone decided to leave me alone’/'seeing u is so hard these days it makes me sad’/'I’ll help u with anything, so tell me’) but osu sounds a lot more…. Deliberately Searching for the response he wants in jp so maybe thatscolouring my view. ah, just remembering. osu said he was suprised he lived this long earlier. he himself has made peace with the fact that hes p much a dead man walking and that all his family is immortal and will see him come and go, so seeing him obsess over morae must be making him a lil antsy that no2 may Never get over morae (or him when he dies so this is like. shock therapy) - n u saw how destroyed he was when no2 got arrested.then again, i dont know what mental acrobatics led to this choice bc we dont. spend much time in osus head. or any time actually. he loves no2 and no2 loves morae but i wonder if osu feels a lil detached from morae himself?? like how naga felt about tracy and venom. but instead of trying to be sad he Cant bc morae sucks and gets upset bc of how much anguish this person has put him (osu) through and he hasnt even done so on purpose or met him so osu just wants him gone.N bc no1 is is primary caretaker from what i see and no1s been real fucked up abt morae since forever and that’s another reason osu may want him gone. but i do think he has an inferiority complex abt his health im sorry im like everywhere rn. im not making sense but yeah. basically i agree w everything u said im just Something atm
also i learned on the korean wiki osus longest relationship description is about dana and he has a section entirely dedicated to porn. dana has a section dedicated to her crush on him and her combi name in hs with judas was 'steel cotton candy’ and that added on with the fact that she was shy in her kid years and got teased made her dye her hair. then she cut it bc it was a pain in the ass to wash blood out of it. good night zzz
oh shit soooo that’s a bunch of facts that i have not thought about and youre right. osu really is trying even though if he thought he doesn’t see himself living very long, he at least could see baekmorae coming to his end so that osu will know that no.2 is better off than constantly trying to get him back… hmm i think you were alluded to this scene (this in the eng scene and for my refresher lol):
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
hmm idk i think it’s not as big as a diff in english but osu definitely sounds like he’s expecting no.2 to spill sumn to him… esp when he starts off saying ‘no one was here when i woke up’ or alike and continues to go on about how not only no.2 is busy but also no.1 (which they are involved with baekmorae’s case nd i think they’re right at least to involve osu as least as possible aside from using his family’s wealth/name in the later chpt) so he feels left in the dark. i don’t think he is in the dark tho he knows more than he lets on for sure… like you said, he’s “Deliberately Searching for the response he wants’ and i can read that in the eng trans as well :) also totally see what the readers are thinking earlier cause! i looked over and readers feared that osu was going to stick on no.2′s side where he would try to help him get baekmorae back, which earlier this chapter no.2 was talking to his sis that she doesnt blame baekmorae since murder was the usual back then, but i’m kinda glad the author wrote osu the complete opposite direction. i think he does look past the fact no.2 desperately wants to redeem himself/make amends to baekmorae and bc baekmorae is such a shitty person, osu would rather help him in the way of getting baekmorae outta his life like some emotionally festering parasite.
also agreed AGREED that we don’t get into osu’s head or barely any, which is a disappointment cause i know in the beta idwtkoh there was an arc where osu got kidnapped nd i feel like we could’ve known more about osu’s shady character back then compared to official idwtkoh. getting off kilter a little but yeah idk osu for sure knows that he’s sick nd been sick that it’s kinda ironic that his dads are immortal healers that can heal so much with him as an exception. it’s apparent that osu’s strongest relationship is with no.1 and no.2 so to see no.2 struggle with getting baekmorae back is like. YEAH exactly with how crushed osu looks (i also remember how osu apologized to dana nd that face crushed dana in return aaaAA) but i think osu for sure feels detached from baekmorae like. osu might be filling in his place for fake KNIFE but baekmorae is just this figurehead of villainy that SPOON’s been working for long to catch and i just feel like it’s easier for osu to feel apathetic or even dislike for baekmorae since he’s the source of no.2′s pain? well, we dont really know how much osu knows of no.2′s past and how he abandoned baekmorae but like. does osu think it’s the better path to forgive no.2 when he’s trying to apologize/redeem? don’t think osu has put himself in baekmorae’s shoes even though his relationship to no.2 is nearly the same without the mentor/mentee role. but yes, osu is prolly just like ‘if sumn messes up no.2 then they need to leave. permanently.’ or alike lol. it is strange to me how their positions regarding to no.2 are very similar tho….
HAH one day ill be able to translate those korean articles concerning osu’s relationship with dana AND dana’s crush on him but today is not that day. just wait for it lol but as recurring it is that osu’s bad habit is porn, i always forget to write about it when im writing osu lol. i didn’t know about dana’s combi name ‘steel cotton candy’ with judas hahaha they both must’ve hated that. idk if that special chpt was translated but dana and judas did dye their hair black without telling each other and thought they copied one another haha. i love these two’s interactions also sad for dana that she got teased for her pink hair. but i know she probably handled it all on her own. OH that’s so badass for her to chop off all her hair cause of the blood……. dana is the best i swear. and thank you for sharing all these facts nd im sorry if my response in turn is lackin cause im kinda out of it too lol but. always a good time talking about idwtkoh, especially a character like osu…….. he was a missed opportunity for more character exploration honestly.
THANKS AGAIN

(Part 1) I love that you brought up how much Keith was fucked over as a character this season as well & is made into the typical leader & savior. Bc keith is incredibly selfless, but he needs to learn that he doesn't always have to be. I'm a keith stan, but some Hardcore Keith Stans™ praise his selflessness. &while it's a good trait & he's such a beautiful, compassionate, empathetic, & just genuinely good person, his own selflessness could bring him a lot of pain & not everyone recognizes that.
(Part 2) Like he never thinks about himself EVER and that is incredibly sad. He doesn’t think about his own pain or what’s good for him. Not saying he isn’t like this in other season (although dying with shiro could be seen as selfish cause he said “fuck the universe” but also selfless cause he didn’t save himself). But this season truly made him ooc and flat and a caricature of himself and it is really truly upsetting.
What makes a good leader is that the leader is selfless when it comes to his team and selfish when it comes to his team. It’s very contradictory.
Keith risked not even his life, but also the Black lion and Voltron. What is obvious here is that Keith wanted to save Shiro for himself while the team already forsook Shiro for betraying them. If you look at the season where Allura gets kidnapped, Shiro is prepared to lose everything to just save her. It’s the process of: we’ll make it out somehow. The most important part is to never give up on people who fight with you and for you. Nobody said that the Lions would respond to the enemy, so it’s more dangerous to lose Paladins than Voltron. While the team risked losing Allura - the Altean princess, in that case, they risked only to lose Shiro who apparently lost his mind. Two different events and two different people after different circumstances. These two scenes are very good for us to compare. It actually shows Keith’s vulnerability.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
What is important here is, that at that moment Keith already knew that he can pilot Black and losing Shiro for the team was not the breakpoint. Shiro betrayed the team and almost destroyed the Castle. It was still Shiro not Kuron for the team. It was the bond that made Keith to disjoint Voltron and not thinking what is waiting for him at the other side of the worm-hole. Shiro went through a lot of horror for Keith to just let him go of him and let him die alone. Keith would rather die than see Shiro turning his back to him and live with that for the rest of his life. Imagine if Keith would’ve actually died with Shiro. What would happen in the team, what would they think?
What made me restless about Keith in SE8 is that he looked almost burned-inside-out (there’s no better definition). Keith looks tired like he doesn’t know anything else than fighting.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
When you put the love aside, then it almost seems like Keith was obsessed with Shiro. He would fight everyone and everything to save him and it didn’t matter if he’d have died in the process. Once Galra have an idea settled deep inside of them, there’s no way out. Keith pushes himself so much because he knows he’s the strongest and most capable of leading. This is one of the ides that was born in his heart; another way how to die for something worthy. Nobody can tell me Keith doesn’t love Shiro like that, or he wouldn’t sacrifice his life for the team because he fucking can and he would do it again and again and again and forever. Galra wear themselves proudly, but they are willing to lose everything just in the blink of an eye and this is Keith.
Tumblr media
It’s in Keith’s blood to fight everything while protecting all that is dear to him. He spent years with Blades to understand how the Galra think and what makes them so special that they were able to own the whole universe for 10000 years and at the same time be part of the resistance that liberated it.
It’s not that Keith is not Keith anymore. He didn’t have an opportunity to show his selfishness because this man is selfish only when it comes to Shiro. He said goodbye to his mom, to Kolivan and the team but it broke him in halves when he had to leave the team for Shiro and without Shiro.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
What actually doesn’t make sense is that Keith doesn’t talk to Shiro so we could see the emotions roiling inside of him. Keith is Keith but when he’s with Shiro, he’s in love and it makes him beautiful, and we miss right just this one Keith in the season eight. It makes us empty and feels like Keith lost his purpose.
Tumblr media
The truth is, that as long as Keith has someone he can help, he can stand on his feet and go on and go on and on and on.
