Or the way Mingyu prides himself on being a gentleman; pausing his workout and walking you to your car, insisting it's too dark out for him to be comfortable letting you go alone (partially because it's his fault your gym visits became a two hour endeavor since the night in the car, he just can’t stop distracting you in the name of getting to know you better).
It’s the same at the restaurant. Mingyu takes your coat and pulls out your chair. He asks for more details on the book you mentioned on the way over, asking if he can borrow your copy once you finish. He feeds you some of his entree off his fork, splits dessert to satisfy your sweet tooth, and nabs the check from the waiter before you can even think of offering to split the bill.
It’s almost too perfect; like he is running a checklist in his head. But Mingyu isn’t that kind of guy. His enthusiasm is just that, enthusiasm for spending time with you, getting to know you, picking your brain like you’re the most interesting person he’s ever met and he can’t wait to know more.
“How did you not know it was a couples class?” You ask, laughing into the curve of his arm as he walks you back to the car.
“It didn’t say it on the flier! It just said ‘portions for two’ and I thought that meant I’d leave with leftovers.”
“Wow. So Wonwoo got you banned and ate your food?”
“Wonwoo got me banned and neither of us gotta eat the food.”
The collar of Mingyu’s shirt flitters when his chest shakes with laughter, watching you down the slope of his nose. Like a flame in a vacuum, all the oxygen in your lungs is sucked up when you notice how good he looks even under the sterile overhead light. The glass of wine you sipped through dinner doesn’t help; turning your insides to mush and your blood to a boil.
Mingyu is so genuinely sweet you almost feel guilty for crowding him against his car and palming the zipper of his jeans. The taste of whiskey clings to his tongue, sucked away by your own until he opens the door and ushers you into the back seat.
“Mingyu,” you gasp, plucking the foil package from his grip. “Did you expect to fuck me tonight?”
“No,” he groans into the side of your tit, thanking whatever power in the universe exists that you hadn’t worn a bra. “But a man should always be prepared.”
You snort, “Okay, ‘Mr. I don’t sleep with girls I don’t date.’”

A beat of absolute silence rattles your shaking confidence. Mingyu’s eyes widen, jumping back like he’s been burned but you fake courage until you spot the way he licks his teeth at the idea.
Whatever permission he’s looking for he finds in the slight dip of your chin. You watch Mingyu’s mood shift in an instant. The playful tilt of his lips melt away, the corners of his eyes freeze over their usual humor. And the arm around the dip of your waist squeezes so tight you fear he’ll leave a bruise in the shape of his palm.
The hand on your face falls to your jaw, pinching your cheek between his pointer finger and thumb as he tsks, forcing your head back and forth mockingly before he forces his thumb between your teeth.
“Shut. Up.”

With a monumental sigh, “Then I guess I can come over.”
It takes nearly fifteen minutes to find the courage to unwind from each other. Mingyu distracts you by tracing shapes between your shoulder blades and making you guess his artistic interpretation. Each time you're wrong he demands a kiss. Each time you're right he gives you one back.
When you make him guess what your finger burns into his shoulder he nearly faints before deciding it's time to head home, hands intertwined over the center console the entire way.

Puerto Rico Day 6
Woke up at 8am feeling a bit under the weather. My throats been bothering me for a few days now but woke up feeling like I spent the night yelling at the top of my lungs. Walked outside of our room at Casa Flamboyant to the most gorgeous morning view of the rainforest and... Angel chilling on our hammock with al her bed pillows. She let me give it a shot and I now have half a mind to swap my mattress out for this hammock (and move to Puerto Rico over the rainforest of course).

After a few minutes of hammock shut eye we went upstairs to see that Ricky and Florin prepared us some coffee and tea. We grabbed a cup and headed into the Infinity Pool to welcome in the morning with a nice cool dip. Also all the water in the pool, tap, showers, etc, are all from the rainforest so all fresh, natural sources!

I don’t think anything could beat this kind of view or these kind of mornings.
After lounging in the pool for a while, Ricky informed us that breakfast was ready. He started us off with a plate of fresh fruit grown by themselves or their neighbors. He then followed it up with a cup of fresh Acerola (Puerto Rican Cherry) juice. As if that wasn’t enough, he then brought out our main course: poached scrambled eggs with a goat cheese sauce and tarragon, a homemade coconut arepa (unleavened Puerto Rican bread), a slice of Carribbean avocado (extra creamy due to the water content), and a link of Spanish chorizo. Oh my gosh this was all so good. Poaching the scrambled eggs made them even fluffier and the balance of the neutral but creamy avocado with the salty, fatty, spicy chorizo, and the crunchy, sweet arepa was everything my mouth could want.

After breakfast I ordered a brown bag lunch for Ricky and we gathered our things for our second stop of the day.

We only had about a mile to drive to our next stop, the south entrance of the El Yunque National Rainforest. There were 3-4 other cars parked out front but essentially no one around. According to Ricky there’s two main hikes. The first is a more difficult hike up the mountain past the main recreation area beyond the gate. We decided to give it a try. It’s as unkempt as he said and then some. We may or may not have hummed the Jurassic Park theme the whole time.

We went about .3 miles before we hit a muddy river/rock/upward river? of sorts where my more experienced friend said we should avoid. We turned back, had some lunch at the recreation area, and decided to give the easier of the two hikes a try. This hike is closer to the front of the park entrance. I wouldn’t really even call it a hike. It’s a decently maintained path that leads to a spot right by one of the waterfalls. I was honestly relieved it wasn’t too strenuous cause I was definitely starting to feel my cold. Plus the view was decently worth the minimal effort.

With El Yunque off the checklist, we headed off to our Airbnb in Los Croabas. Compared to our luxurious loungings yesteray this place was....well not that... Leaking ceiling, no hot water, and so many mosquitos. The hostess did try her best with the other small amenities though but I’m relieved we’re only here for a night. We relaxed for a bit and headed to our dinner joint at La Estacion (well technically we went to CVS first for cold medicine). Besides breakfast, this meal was the only other highlight of the day. Great bilingual service and some of the best BBQ I’ve ever had (and I paid my dues in the South). We ordered the BBQ swordfish served w/ Arroz con Habichuelas and a sampler platter which included: a BBQ Cornish Hen w/ Alabama White BBQ Sauce, Brisket w/ pickled red onions and chimichurri plus an arepa, and 2 St. Louis style smoked ribs w/ a guava bbq sauce. This was paired with an American style potato salad and a summer salad of tomatoes, cucumbers, and onions. Seriously it was so much food and every item was so tender and flavorful and our servers were all so helpful and friendly.

After dinner we rushed off to our Bio-luminescent kayaking tour through Pure Adventures and well...that was quite something. To be honest it was mostly fun. Kayaking was a fun workout and it was amazing going through the mangroves at night until we hit a huge bay where we could see a ton of stars. We tied our boats together and got a brief lesson on dinoflagellates and their glowing effect. We ran our hands through the warm water and watched it glimmer with every twitch. It was mesmerizing. I also loved the view of this open water slightly sparkling with the tiny safety lights of so the kayaks. Crowded yet peaceful at the same time. But of course before we got there we had a mishap. Namely running into several mangroves and capsizing our boat and losing my flip flops in the process. I’m thankful I didn’t bring my camera but I did bring my wallet and phone. The latter was in a Ziploc bag and as of writing this we may have recovered it enough for me to not need to bring it in for repair. But let’s just say the rest of our night involved CVS/Walmart runs, bags of rice, and lots of hairdryers and paper towels. Also none of my Gopro footage of the night turned out cause of how dark it was but hopefully the flash photo the staff member took turned out nice.
Overall, it’s been kind of a rough day. My cold is peaking, damaged wallet and possibly phone, leaking ceilings/mosquitoes/no hot water. But it was all a fun experience (so long as my phone/wallet make it out alive, I’ll handle anything else.

Future Me
I’m going to live in a bright, beautiful downtown condo on my own with my own decorations and furniture, filled with natural light and candles, and a fluffy white couch and a breathtaking view. It will be a corner unit and will have a balcony and new appliances in a neighbourhood that is still convenient and central, but also charming with a favourite coffee shop nearby + close to work & friends.
I’m going to be continuing to kill it in my sales job, saving up more and learning personal finance better, invest in a beautiful new wardrobe, live a healthy lifestyle and be confident in my body and in myself.
I’m not going to be bothered by others judging me for not having the exact same path and timeline as everyone else, I'm just going to be focusing on my own growth and mindset, which will ultimately be attracting people in my life who believe in me.
I’m going to somehow expand my horizons and meet new people, a successful, intelligent, motivated, but also warm and kindhearted and loving group of friends who believe in me and I believe in them back.
I’m going to continue to be inspired and learn as much as I can. Continue to try new things, to grow, to read, perhaps draw or sing or sign up for some sort of new classes or new hobbies.
Most importantly, I will not let people into my life who do not value me or respect me, or believe in me. I will not walk into self sabotaging situations and relationships with people who don’t know how to see my worth or care about my heart. Instead I'll be surrounded by people who lift me up, or inspire me, or make me want to be the best version of myself everyday, rather than make me insecure and make me feel beneath them.
I will find ways to be involved more in my community, I will continue to smile and talk to baristas at coffee shops and the butcher at the deli and my concierge at the front desk. I’ll continue to stop and smell the flowers and enjoy every deep breath of fresh air that I can, see the positivity of both the sunshine and the rain, and continue to romanticize my days no matter the circumstance.
I’ll be both successful and humble, living life to the fullest and not being stressed out that I’m only this young once. Because although that’s true, I’ll still be open to the fact that each year and moment has it’s own purpose and lessons to be learned.
I won’t let social media dictate my life and will either get rid of it if it is toxic, or find a way to maintain a healthy relationship with it so that it is not causing me to have self destructive thoughts or making me insecure.
I will eat good food, learn to cook, listen to beautiful music, discover new places and experiences, have a great skincare routine with glowing skin, have a few favourite workout classes to attend weekly, be healthy physically and mentally, and not let myself sulk in self-destructive thoughts. I will be mindful of others that are around me, learn to listen more, learn to think more, not waste time on useless things, but also learn to relax and unplug and take time for myself to rest and reset.
The future me will laugh everyday, mark off things off my checklist every day, be grateful and kind and spread love wherever I go, while also not giving too much to people who only take, but maintain a healthy balance. I won’t mind giving to others who don’t have anything else to give in return, however I won’t continue to pour my heart into people who would never do the same for me in return if they had the chance, knowing that that will drain my energy.
I’ll be ok, it will all workout, and even if it doesn’t I'll continue to have a positive relationship with myself, with the universe, have strong faith, have gratitude and prayers, and a sharp mindset and continuously strive to live the life I envision, while also being open to new opportunities that I might not even know are for me yet. I’ll continue to believe in myself, continue to better myself, and continue believing that what’s mine and whatever plan is set out for me will ultimately come together, I just have to stay patient and continue doing the best I can.

“It’s really quite efficient that way,” Sam agreed with a playful smile (though a small worry shivered up her chest, seeing just how tired Shepard really was).
“Uh huh,” Annelise retorted skeptically. Her fingers flew in practiced motions as they examined hard suit gloves and bracers next.
“…but seriously though? Can’t Ashley or Vega take this one? Let the Commander just Command for a change from the sidelines? The safe, warm, comfy sidelines…” Sam dropped her voice to a husky, enticing pitch. She arched her eyebrows and smiled.

Now she could loudly fret from the comfort of Shepard’s bed.
Annelise stopped what she was doing and looked over at Sam. Her chin dropped and a sympathetic frown pulled her lips. “You know I command better with a shotgun,” Annelise said, her low voice laced with mirth.
Her footfalls were heavy as Shepard strode over and sat down on the bed next to Sam. The weight of even half her armor made for a serious dip in the mattress as Sam felt herself slide slightly closer.
Reaching over, Annelise tucked a few errant hairs behind Sam’s ear. Sam leaned into the touch and did her best to look as pouty and scowly as possible. It only made the woman’s cheeks turn with a tight, sad smile. “It is pretty comfy. Keep it warm for me?”
“A serious job, but I think I’m up for the challenge,” Samantha teased before kissing Annelise’s palm.
“Oh I don’t doubt it,” Annelise said seriously. With a sigh, she stood up and continued assembling the rest of her hard suit. There was no slouch or scowl to the Commander’s posture, just calm, focused effort.
Sam wanted to protest further. Coax and bribe and plead for her to say. But, she wouldn’t be Commander Shepard if she didn’t go and answer the call.
Bloody hell, I wish she were just a liiiiittle bit less noble.

Hmmmmph.
An airy voice pulled Sam out of her grousing. “So… do I get my good luck charm this time?” Annelise asked with a hopeful lilt.
Pushing the covers off, Samantha shivered in the night chill before rolling into a standing position. She hissed at the cold floor as she padded over to where Shepard was finishing the rest of her armor, the clasps closing with a dull metallic thud.
It was always breathtaking to see Shepard in her full, armored glory. She was a hulking presence. Her normal inch or two increase in height ballooned to a good six inch difference with the armor. It was even more dramatic for a tiny, trembling Samantha Traynor clad only in undies.
Arms open and outstretched, Annelise waited with a wide smile. Her eyes were closed in anticipation.
Sam leaned up to kiss her cheek… and leaned up and up and—
Sonofabitch!
She rapped a knuckle on the N7 emblem on Shepard’s breastplate to get the woman’s attention. “Sorry, darling. Either bend down or help a girl up. Otherwise…” Sam let the threat hang in the air.
When Annelise’s eyes opened in confusion, Sam gave a demonstration of her current issue. She craned her neck upward, then stood on her tiptoes, then attempted a small hop that barely crested the wide neck piece of the armor.
“See my ordeal?”
“Not at all,” Annelise said smugly. She gave a small bend at the waist, pursing her lips in a teasing fashion. But she kept her lips just out of reach from Sam’s stretch, even going so far as to jerk slightly out of the way when Sam hopped again.
“I don’t need this aggravation, darling,” Samantha said. “I can just go right back to bed while you go rescue kittens from trees. That are probably on fire.” She started to pull away, that bed so tantalizingly close.
But a gloved hand reached out and snagged her wrist. And there was no wriggling out of that grasp. Giving a dramatic sigh, Sam turned back and shot Annelise an expectant look.
A sad pout. “I’ll behave this time.”
This time, Sam felt the hairs stand up at the back of her neck as goosebumps pebbled up her arms. There was a faint crackle of blue energy around Annelise’s green eyes.
“You lazy cheater,” Sam announced as threads of biotic energy pulled at her armpits and under her knees to bring her up the requisite distance to be face-level with Shepard. “…are you quite pleased with yourself?”
“Quite, actually.” That full-lipped smile was mischievous.
“Mmhm,” Samantha muttered as she leaned forward and captured those lips in a deep kiss. She could feel Annelise’s smile against her cheeks and it was briefly infectious.
When Sam pulled away, a scathing rebuke was ready on her tongue. But she didn’t get the chance to utter it. With a flurry of movement, Sam felt her body jerk upright as she was hefted over Annelise’s armored shoulder, the plate digging into Sam’s tummy and thigh.
Sputtering in outrage, Sam was helpless as Annelise spun her around the cabin with a joyful laugh. She thumped a fist on the woman’s back, but the hardsuit just absorbed her feeble efforts with barely a slapping sound.
“It’s for good luck, Sam!” Annelise announced as she continued spinning.
“What is, making your girlfriend puke all over your lovely armor?!”
With a laugh, Annelise stopped and set Sam gently down on the bed. She hovered over Sam, eyes studying Samantha’s face with a warm crinkle. Annelise leaned down and kissed Sam hard this time. Sam suppressed a laugh of her own at the woman’s burst of energy.
When they finally pulled apart, breathless, Sam nuzzled her nose against Annelise’s cheek.
“You’re absolutely terrible. You know this, right?” she whispered.
“Can’t have you miss me too much,” Annelise stated matter-of-factly. “It’s bad luck.”
“I have a lot of questions about your superstitions.”
“You can ask. I might not answer.” That grin was wide and impossibly smug.
“Ugh. Go save the world already,” Sam scowled as she gave Annelise a last, petulant kiss.
The bed lurched as Shepard pushed herself off of Sam and went around the side to scoop up her helmet. She shot Samantha a warm wink before heading back to the armor locker and stowing all the open drawers and cabinets.
Reaching into Shepard’s side table by the bed, Sam pulled out a blueberry protein bar. She tossed it at the woman’s head. Shepard caught it mid-air with her biotics, her eyebrow quirking in question.
“Do eat something, darling. If you faint mid-battle because you were showboating in the bedroom, you won’t hear the end of it. Particularly from Garrus. Because I’m going to tell him.”
“You wouldn’t.”
“I would,” Sam airily threatened as she made a show of checking her nails.
Scowling, Annelise unwrapped the bar and took a childish, deliberate bite. “Oo-rah, darling,” she retorted as she headed towards the cabin entrance. At the doorway, she turned back and gave a wide, crinkling smile.
Then disappeared as the door swished shut behind her.
Snuggling back under the covers, Sam closed her eyes for a few long minutes. Then she sighed and opened her Omni-tool to patch into the Normandy’s communications. From under her blanket fort, Samantha flicked through the interface to track Shepard’s progress.
When Annelise didn’t sleep, neither did she.

Sundays are great days for catching up on life stuff before the crazy week begins again. I woke up this morning feeling like I had slept well, even though I was still up by 6:30. This weekend was so exciting and full of adventures I think I just fell asleep really hard. I made myself a nice big breakfast of eggs (the ones left from what you brought last weekend), and toast, and veggie sausage... walked the dogs, made plans for the gym, and packed up my laundry...
It was incredibly adorable that Oreo walked right to my car when we went outside this morning. He is ready for the next adventure!
My plans for the gym changed slightly when I got there. Megan had agreed to meet me there, but upon evaluating how she was feeling after her hike yesterday, I accommodated some of her aches and pains, and then added a few things to do on my own to make up for that.
Today’s workout: Warm-up: 3K on the assault bike 3 Rounds:      10 Air Squats      25 ft High-Hip Bear Crawl      10 GHD Hip Extensions
Workout Part 1: 10 Rounds Every 2 Minutes:      1 Deadlift +      1 Power Clean +      2 Front Squats all at 95# (the video on Facebook was the last round)
Workout Part 2: 12 minute Ascending AMRAP:      3 Knee Tucks      3 Kettlebell Swings      3 Push Press @ 55# So, how this works is after you finish the first round of 3 reps of each movement, you then do 6 reps at each... then 9, then 12, then 15, then 18. I got through the complete round of 18 reps at each movement with 10 seconds left on the clock. 
Workout Part 3: Annie (again): 50-40-30-20-10 Double Unders Ab-mat Sit-ups I beat last weeks time by 8 seconds... 15:30(ugh). My toes were so angry after this workout because for whatever reason, the rope kept hitting the front of my toes!!! This is possibly the worst pain I’ve ever consciously felt.
We then did a cool down walk to the mall to get a coffee. I sold her on going into Starbucks in the B&N instead of going to Dunkin’... This worked out very well. She asked about you, and I told her how amazing everything has been, and she said it was so nice to see me glowing like this...

I went to my mom’s without the dogs today. They seemed so tired from yesterday’s adventures and I thought they could just use a rest. I did a very small load of laundry, ate a small lunch, played with her pups a bit, kind of watched the movie “The Number 23″, and made a Bob’s Burgers Burger Checklist. I also somehow got into a fight with my brother about Google Chromecast, and my iPhone, and how my iPhone is the root of all evil, and it was really annoying... he works overnights so he’s a little testy sometimes... ugh. I came home, walked the dogs, and discovered your post... and as you know... i instantly teared up... and now to respond to your post...

Period days are always hard days for me. Even though I don’t really experience the pain, or the headaches I used to, it still makes me more lethargic than usual, and screws up my digestion and makes me feel way less than ideal. And yes... first days are always the worst. I like to think the second to worst day is around day 4, when it all but disappeared on day 3, and it comes back with a vengeance on day 4 to remind you how horrible it is to be a woman. 
I hope for your sake, and theirs, that Luke gets better soon and that Mat doesn’t get whatever is going around... Summer is literally the worst time to be sick... it’s too hot for it...  Poor Escobar! You had to bandage it twice? Was it bleeding so badly that you had to do it a second time? Or did he chew at the bandage and you had to give it another go? I had dog growing up named Venus. She was a beautiful Malamute/Beagle mix. She was still a puppy when she cut her paw open on a piece of glass. We took her to the vet to get stitches and the next day she chewed all of the stitches out and we had to bring her back. Dogs are so silly sometimes. I wish so much that they could talk and tell us what they are feeling, and understand that we are only trying to make them better.  
Is family break a regular scheduled thing, or does it happen because things seem to escalate too much and you feel like everyone needs a break?
I love that you openly admit to me that you leave out details of things... I wonder if you do it because you know it drives me crazy... Or if you genuinely are trying to indicate to me that I might be on your mind from time to time, without getting into the “nitty gritty”... either way... She obviously cares about you and your guys very much. I think it’s great that you talk all of the time. I talk to my mom less these days (because I have this amazing woman that i’m thoroughly distracted by and in love with) but we still touch base a few times a week. 
I know I’ve at least had parallel sentiments to this before, but I’ve never found it so easy to just be with someone. Loving you is so amazing, and wonderful, and my heart literally swells when I think about you, or see your picture, or better yet you. I look at you and I still can’t believe how someone so gorgeous, and amazing, would find time for me in their life. Your smile and your eyes make me melt and your body drives me absolutely crazy. I love that you dance whenever you hear music... and I love that you love me more than anyone else ever has... and I can feel it every time you look at me. My plan, is to love you until the end of time, in all of the ways that I can possibly come up with, with every ounce of my being. I have never felt like this before, and I wouldn’t give it up for the world. But to further my promise... if I EVER end up breaking your heart somehow Ruth Mikulski... I will drive myself to Worcester and tell your mother to break my legs... Because you will never deserve it... 
I’m looking forward to every one of our adventures, and spending more time with you and your guys, and eventually building a life together... I will never be more sure of anything in my life.

It wasn’t until Izzie’s twelfth birthday that she and her parents could finally put a name to all the strange things she could do. Izzie was a witch. Her letter from Ilvermorny gave her parents all the information they two No-Majs needed to know about their daughters magical abilities. On August 27th, she and her parents made a trip to New York where Izzie boarded a train to her new life. She was terrified but excited all at the same time. While she loved her parents and being taught by them, she was finally going to be around kids her own age. At the sorting ceremony, the crystal set in the Horned Serpent glowed and the Wampus roared. The choice had been up to her- was she a scholar, or a warrior? A moment of silence and Izzie turned to the Wampus making her decision. While she enjoyed learning and making up her own make believe adventures, Izzie was a warrior at heart. The few No-Maj friends she’d made over the years had always been kids weaker than her. Kids who felt out of place at their public schools. Kids who needed defending. On more than one occasion, Izzie had come home from playing in the neighbourhood park bleeding lightly or with a black eye telling her parents “You should see the other kid.” a proud smile on her face.
After dropping Izzie off for her first year at Ilvermorny, her parents continued to live their nomadic lifestyle only ever staying in one city or one country, for a few months before packing up and leaving again. It made holidays difficult- she would get off the train at Grand Central to hop on a plane or catch a bus to whatever place her parents were currently residing in. Unable to bear her dual life, just one year later, Izzie got herself emancipated from her parents and moved to New York. She got a job in a hotel downtown as a waitress in exchange for half rent on a room. Now seventeen, Izzie is excited to go to Hogwarts for the TriWizard tournament. She isn’t sure if she’ll put her name in the Goblet but that’s a decision for another time.
