summary: Owen and reader work together with the velociraptors. When the two find Claire and her nephews in the forest with the van she happens to attract one of them.

Disclaimer: Readers 18 so like 2 years older than Zach, Zach does not have a girlfriend in this so like he’s nawt cheating guys I swear, cursing, gun use, dinosaurs 😋

“Hoskins you can’t do this! Once Owen finds out what you’re planning he’s gunna get over here and beat your ass, you want that? Huh?” I confront Hoskins with my hands on my hips. He’s got some crazy plan to use the velociraptors to hunt down the escaped dinosaur.

“Sure he will (name), that is if he gets here. How d’you know that dinosaur hasn’t gotten him already?” He laughed at me.

“Are you kidding me right now? How are you so sure it has?” Then, a jeep pulled up outside of the velociraptors enclosure. Owen stepped out of the drivers side. “Well would you look at that!” I threw my hands in the air and started making my way to Owen, Hoskins trailing behind me. “I-I tried to stop him Owen I did, but he wouldn’t listen to me,” I explained frantically, my voice cracking. Just recently had Owen started thinking more highly of me and here I go messing it up.

“You’re fine (name). I know what happened.” Owen held a hand up at me and I walked beside Claire. I had only met her a few times but I know she had something going on with my boss.

“Hey Claire, how you doing?” I looked behind me into the jeep and saw two boys. One that looked like he wasn’t even a teen and the other maybe a year or two younger than me. “They yours?” I looked at her.

“Uh- no,” she stifled a laugh, “ they’re my nephews.”

“Oh, alright,” we then turn around and watch Hoskins make his way up to Owen. Owen barely lets him speak before socking him right in the jaw. I let out a gasp and put my hands up to my mouth.

“Get the hell out of here, and stay away from my animals,” Owen said to him, a stern look on his face. He seemed to care about the velociraptors more than he cared about himself sometimes.

“Hoskins you wanted this to happen, you son of a bitch,” Claire stepped in next to Owen, I went on the other side of him.

“Oh, Jesus. How many more people have to die before this mission makes sense to you?” Hoskins looked at all 3 of us, a disgusted look on his face.

Barry came over to us, “it’s not a mission, it’s a field test.”

“This is an InGen situation now. Okay, there are going to be cruise ships, that show up here at first light, everybody’s gunna get off this island, you’re gunna watch a news story tomorrow, about how you all saved lives. No, no, no, better yet, how your animals, saved lives.”

It was my turn to step in now, “Hoskins, letting the raptors out of containment would just put the people in even more danger. They have never, EVER, been let out of there. Letting them free would just be a whole other problem.” Barry looked at me, then Owen.

“She’s right. It’s crazy.” Hoskins then tells his people to move it out. Then he turns back around to Owen.

“This is happening, with or without you.” Owen then looks down at me on his right. I have my moment to think about it, then nod my head.

“Owen with you working with it, the raptors will be more under control than if this lunatic were to do it alone,” I pointed at Hoskins.

“Okay, come in then.” He grabbed my arm and we went with Hoskins and Barry to the tent across from the raptors enclosure. Once we were in there, there was a whole bunch of armed men. I was next to Owen as he pointed at a map, “We know that she is in sector 5, this is a game we call hide-and-seek, it’s a scent drill, we’ve done it about a thousand times with these animals. When they get on target, and they will get on target, wait to engage. Velociraptors are pack hunters.” I look at him, he looks back at me then nods his head for me to finish what he was saying.

“They like to herd the animal into a kill zone, that when we can make our move.” Owen smiled at me then gave me a fist bump.

“That’s right, get a clear shot, wait in my command, and give her everything you got. We got one good target gentlemen,” he turned to me, “and lady,” I nod at him, smiling. “Do not shot my raptors. Please.” We then make our way over to the raptors. I handle Charlie. She had always favorited me, just like Delta was fond of Barry, and Blue only really listened to Owen. (A/n I dunno if Charlie’s a girl or boy so I’m just making her a girl sorry if she isn’t 😞)

“Easy babydoll, I got you,” I rubbed under her chin to calm her down. “Calm down for me,” I then disconnected her head piece. I smiled at her and scratched her chin, she groaned at me in return, “Good girl! Good job Charlie!” I turned to look at Owen with Blue, “Look Owen!” he smiled at me and gave me a thumbs up.

“Good job kid. I’m lucky you work with me. She’s always been easier when you’re around.” I continued to mess around with her when a herd a voice.

“Owen!” I turned around and it was Claire’s nephews. Owen walked over to them. “Are they safe?” The little one asked. I had forgot to get their names from Claire. I walk over alongside Owen, and smile at the boys.

“No, they’re not.” Owen looked at him seriously. The older one then spoke up.

“What are their names?” He looked at Owen, then turned to me. Owen looked at me.

“you can tell them.” He nudged my shoulder, making me laugh.

“That’s Charlie,” Owen cut me off.

“She listens to her the most. Which is surprising honestly. She’s always been more aggressive but when she started working here, Charlie changed her attitude around.”

“Well obviously,” I shrugged my shoulders, “anyways, that’s Echo, then Delta, and lastly Blue.” I put my hands in my hips then looked at Owen.

“She’s the beta.” Owen said. The little one spoke again.

“who’s the alpha?”

“You’re lookin’ at him, kid.” This caused them to smile at him. I waved at them both as they went to their aunt Claire. The older one looked at me, as if he were in a daze, and slowly waved back. ————————————————————————

Time goes by and Owen and I took the headgear off of the raptors and put them in their personal cages. Owen holds up a pound or so of meat from the Indominous rex.

“Sooo, do I get a gun?” I leaned on the wall next to Charlie’s cage. Owen looked at me.

“Yeah probably, go ask them to give you a rifle or something.” I push myself off the wall and go out to the men with guns.

I tap one in the shoulder. He turns around and looks me up and down. “Can I get one of those guns? Maybe an AR or something?” He laughs at me.

“A girl like you? How old even are you?”

“18 and old enough to handle a man-eating dinosaur. I’m sure I can take a gun.” He looks surprised at me. “You gunna give me a gun or what?” He smiles and nods his head at me then leads me to the guns. “You got me there little girl, take your pick.” I pick up an AR and nod at them, putting it on my back. I leave the tent and see Claires oldest nephew looking at me again.

I smile at him and wave. Then I go out to Barry in front of the jeep. There was a four wheeler then two motorcycles. I get on one of the motorcycle. Owen comes over not long after and gets on the other. He looks up at the new guy, then nods his head. New guy nodded back, then pressed the button to open the cages and the raptors ran out.

“Aw here we go,” I said and rode right after Owen and Barry. The raptors had night vision cameras on the side of their head that I’m sure Claire and corporate could see.

“(Name)! You follow me alright?” Owen called out to me.

“Gotchu!” I raised a thumb at him, and raced quickly after, separating from Barry and the others. We managed to keep up with the raptors, me riding behind them, Owen between the four of them. ————————————————————————

(Quick) Zach’s POV

Gray and I looked through the window from the back to where Aunt Claire sat in the drivers seat. I looked over her shoulder at the I-pad in her hands where she could see Owen and the other girl riding with the raptors. “Your boyfriend’s a badass, and that girl too. What’s her name?” I reached out and pointed at the girl.

“That’s (name). She’s a few years older than you Zach,” Aunt Claire looked at me and raised her eyebrows.

“Yeah, alright I was just asking.” I held my hands up in defense, she rolled her eyes at me, smiling, but I quickly looked back to the girl, I now knew as (name).

(Names) POV

I looked ahead at the raptors and Owen. “They’re slowing down.” Barry said. I looked over at him and started coming to a slow myself. Then Owen stops. He holds his hand up in a fist and the soldiers get out of the cars with their weapons up. I get off my motorcycle and take my AR off my back. The soldiers rush ahead of me, Barry, and Owen and I follow quickly after looking around. We hide behind a fallen tree, me between Barry and Owen. I hold my gun up. The raptors wait. I can hear large steps being made and the Rex eventually travels itself from the trees.

“Holy shit-“ I whisper.

“Something’s wrong. They’re communicating.” Barry says as the Rex and Raptors make small roars at each other.

“I know why they wouldn’t tell us what it’s made of,” Owen says as he stares at the Indominous Rex.

“Why?” I say, and look at him.

“That things part raptor,” my eyes widen and I look away from Owen at the Rex. It starts backing up and the raptors turn around and look at us all.

“What are they doing?” I ask. Owen doesn’t respond. A soldier yells after I ask.

“Engage!” We start firing st the Rex and it backs away. A soldier lets off a rocket(I dunno what else to call it 😭) and the Indominous falls over. Everyone stops shooting. I stand up next to Owen. We keep firing and it ends up running away.

“On your six! Raptors got a new alpha!” Owen yells as we follow after the Indominous. I turn, back and forth looking for the raptors. They could come out at anytime. Then a soldier behind me yells, a raptor on top of him. I run close to Owen, soldiers around us getting attacked by the raptors. Owen and I stay quiet and we see a raptor eating someone. Becuase of the darkness I can’t make out which one it is. It looks up and stares at Owen and I. None of us make a move. Behind the raptor though, a rocket comes through the trees, blowing it up. I go flying back from the impact and shout.

We run towards our bikes and I see that the one I rode in was taken by a soldier. “Owen! My bikes gone,” he looks at me and pats the back of his bike. I climb on and we look ahead. I can hear Barry yelling but I can’t see him, he’s in the log I think. Blue is on top of it, trying to get to Barry. Owen starts revving the bike, distracting blue from Barry. He whistles and rides off, Blue filling after us. I hold on tightly to Owen. I turn around a few times. After one I noticed Blue stopped following us. “Blues not behind us anymore!”

“Alright, keep an eye out for her!” I nod my head and look around for her. I never see her but I also don’t see the other raptors. I eventually hear the raptors. The more we go the closer they sound. Then, I see the bright lights of a van, “isn’t that the van Claire and her nephews where in?”

“I think so.” Owen speeds up behind the van.

“Owen!” I hear 2 people yell. I look from behind and wave at them. They wave back and laugh. Owen rides up next to the drivers side.

“We gotta get indoors! Follow me!” He yells to Claire and drives in front of the van. We stop in front of the big volcano building. I get off the back of the bike and take my AR off my back. I run next to Owen and look behind me at the others. We then go inside the Hammond Creation Lab.

“Control room! That way!” Clair shouts as we make our way there. When we get in I stand in front of with Owen. I hold my gun up as we hear glass breaking in one of the lab stations. “They evacuated the lab.” Claire said. I looked at her and stayed behind as they walked forward so we had weapons in the front and back. When we got in the station, we looked at all the small reptiles. Then a door opened and people came out looking something away. “What are you doing?”

“I’m afraid that above your pay grade, honey.” Hoskins stepped out.

“you’ve gotta be kidding me,” I roll my eyes.

“Where’s Henry?” Claire asks as Hoskins walks closer to us.

“Dr. Wu works for us,” he smiles at us.

“That’s not a real dinosaur,” the little boy speaks up as he looks at the monitor screen.

“No, it ain’t kid, but somebody’s gotta make sure this company has a future, imagine: that one, a fraction of the size, deadly, intelligent, able to hide from the most advanced military technology. A living weapon, unlike anything we’ve ever seen. See, millions of years of evolution. Nature is the gift-“ he was cut off by a roar. “Oh shit!” A raptor comes out. “Easy, easy boy! Easy,” Hoskins was backed against a wall. I made sure the boys were behind me as Owen backed us up, away from the scene. “We’re- we’re in the same side, right? Right? Easy, easy, I’m on your side,” he held a hand out to the raptor. Slowly he pushed it forward but the raptor went to bite his hand. I gasped and turned to bring the little boy closer to me. Hoskins let out a bloodcurdling scream.

“Go, go,” I said as I pushed the little boy out from the room. We started running towards the center. The raptor is thrown out of the glass room and blocks our way from getting out. Claire turns us around and we go the other way. The little boy taps a hologram to distract the raptor so we can get out. We manage to get outside again but when we get out there Blue stops us, along with Delta. Then we have all three on each side of us.

“so that’s how it is huh?” Owen asks. He puts down his rifle. He holds his hand out to Blue. “Easy.” He undoes the strap along her head, “that’s it,” I smile. She seems to calm down. I nudge the older boy.

“Think you can do that?” I smile. He skates his head.

“No ma’am.” This caused me to laugh. Then the Indominous comes roaring from behind Blue. Blue looks back at Owen, away from the Indominous and starts chittering, almost as if she were talking to him. She then turns and roars at the Indominous. She roars back, much louder. She slams Blue away and Blue slams against a building. Owen starts backing us up and I grab into the older ones arm. He looks at me l, but quickly looks back ahead. Delta and Echo start roaring at the Indominous. Owen whistles and the raptors start running at the Indominous. They hop on top of her and while they distract her we run around them. Claire and her nephews climb into the window of an item shop while Owen and I stay out to shoot at the Indominous. As I reload my gun I turn around and see Claire running. I look at Owen, who sees her as well. Owen runs towards the boys in the item shop. I run right after him and hop inside. Owen shushes the boys while I reload just in case.

I look up and see the Indominous. She starts slamming against the item shop and breaks one of her arms in, clawing at the little boy. I shoot at its arm while the others go against a wall. It claws at the others and I run out of bullets, “Shit!” One of its claws gets ahold in the little boy. The older one reaches over and uncles his fanny pack and it the claw releases from the little boy. I crawl over to him. “Are you ok? Did it cut you anywhere? What’s your name?” I hold his face, and wipe away his tears.

“Gray, I-I’m okay.” I hics as he speaks.

“Ok, I’m (name). I’m so sorry that happened I promise I’ll try my best to prevent anything from happening to you again alright?” He nods his head. I look at the older one.

“And what’s your name?”

“Zach.” He says.

“Zach. Okay Zach. Great job. I saw you unclip his fanny pack.” I tap his leg. I look at Owen. He nods. He knew I was better at dealing with emotions than him. Then a red flare hits against the Indominous. I look outside the window of the shop. “It’s Claire! She just brought a whole ass T-Rex here!” I said laughing. Owen, Gray, and Zach come up next to me to look out the window. They start fighting and the Indominous slams the T-Rex around. She grabs the T-Rex’s head and slams it into the shop we were in. I hold onto Gray and Owen holds onto Zach. The T-Rex roars into the shop. And bites at us. I let go of Gray and look over at Claire.

“Run!” She shouts at us.

“Go, go, go!” Owen push’s us all out of the shop and we run to Claire. The Indominous holds the T-Rex down and is about to bite its neck before we hear another roar. it was blue. She jumped onto the back of the Indominous and saved enough time for the T-Rex to get up and but the Indominous, ramming it into the building. We ran into another building, the Dino’s fighting close to us. As we run through, the T-Rex and Blue seem to be dominating the Indominous. They get close to the mosasaurus’ enclosure and it flies up out of the water, biting the Indominous, dragging it underwater.

“Oh, shit!” The T-Rex and Bkue remain, staring at each other. We walk out from behind the building and Blue looks at Owen. He shakes his head, and she runs after the T-Rex. We walk out and look around. I walk next to Zach.

“oh, wow.” He says. I look up at him and reach for his arm.

“You alright?” I ask.

“I’m alive,” he chuckled. I smiled up at him.

“Yeah.” I rub his arm then let go, looking at his forehead. I lift his hair up a little bit, “just a little cut right there,” I brush over it and he holds my arm lightly. “Alright I’ll see you later alright?” I then walk over to Owen.

Claire took Zach and Gray to the shelter where all the visitors were staying. Owen and I worked around the shelter, making sure people got what they needed, be it water, food, bandages, etc. in the morning, Zach and Grays parents showed up. I was with Owen and we were working with an old woman when he looked over at Claire. I noticed him looking. “Let’s go over there,” I say, “I’m sure Zach and Grays parents wanna meet the hero that helped protect their kids the whole night,” I punch his arm lightly.

“Alright, come on,” we head over to their cot. Owen stays behind with Claire and they talk while I go get to Zach and Grays cots.

“Hey,” I say, their parents looking at me. Gray stood up and hugged me tightly.

“(Name)! Mom, dad, this is (name) she helped protect us with Owen and Aunt Claire yesterday. She’s also the one that helped us patch up our injuries,” Gray told them as he continued to hug me. I laughed and looked at Zach

“I didn’t do to much,” I rubbed Grays back and he let go of me.

“Oh my goodness, I can’t thank you enough just for being there with them,” their mom came over and embraced me in a hug, their dad following suit. When they let go I sat next to Zach.

“Hey big guy,” I rested my arm on his shoulder.

“Hey (name), uh can I talk to you, somewhere else?” I look up at him.

“yeah sure come on,” we went to a more private place so we could talk. “What’s up?”

“(Name)… I think you’re really cool and I wanna get to know you more so could I uh- could I get your number?” he held my hand while he spoke softly rubbing it. I smiled and bit my lip.

“Yeah sure. I’ll write it down for you.” I pulled out my mini notebook from my shorts and the pen I always have attached to it. I wrote my number and my name down then tore it off and handed it to him. I grabbed his shoulders and stood on my tiptoes giving him a kiss on his cheek. “Bye Zach. Call me when you get the chance alright?” I waved bye to him as he was left with a smitten smile on his face. ————————————————————————

❖ Alan Grant

- Let’s just say the both of you were completely clueless of the feelings being harbored but everyone you guys encountered automatically picked up on it - He can’t quite remember when he had developed feelings. It was a subtle thing that crept in slowly and then snuck up on him like a robber in the night (needless to say he was not the first to have feelings in the relationship) - You on the other hand remember the moment you had feelings and it was not subtle it was a brick to your face. He had been at a convention for his book, talking to all sorts of people, and yet he always kept an eye on you making sure to glance up from what he was doing to find you. When the day was done he drove you home opening and closing your door for you - Alan subconsciously noticed the change in your demeanor but thought it didn’t have to do with him. Anytime he tried asking about it you have him a short answer and changed the topic - Something he didn’t even think about is the way he is always besides you practically attached at the hip and this just absolutely made you fall even harder for him - Then you just had to follow him to that god forsaken island (a/n you can choose which movie first, third, or even the latest one)he loved the way you had that survivors instinct. Now you were always and forever amazing in his eyes but seeing this other part of you that was totally badass, taking charge he knew he was in for the ride of his life - And yet he didn’t confess to you during a life or death situation like those movies, hell he didn’t even confess on the island. No he decided that a helicopter ride back to the mainland was the perfect time, I mean you can’t run away right - “So I uhh think drinks are an order, you and me?” It was whispered his confidence a little rocky after everything that happened - “You and me ?” You whispered back wind sucked out of your lungs - He out right smiled and brought you close to his side, resting his head on top of yours, “You and me.” - Yeahhh lets just say it took him YEARS literal years

❖ Ellie Sattler

- She fell first but just thought you deserved a life free of the limits of a relationship despite her being aware of your feelings, you were being very obvious - little touches no matter where you are (unless you are uncomfortable with it) she rests a hand on your back, between your shoulder blades, you shoulder, you elbow. She likes to show you she is physically and mentally there for you - her favorite past time with you is going museum hopping loving to travel through time and around the world with you - will willingly let you rant or vent to her as long as she can do the same thing - you will have to enable her behavior of taking down crazy ceos - Even while you guys were “just friends” she loves to cuddle especially if you guys are pulling all nighters - Both of you go to protests for climate change and anything else and y’all can’t change my mind - but it’s not on one of your chaotic days that you both confess it’s actually on a lazy day of watching true crime and she asks you to be her plus one to her cousins wedding - you kiss her on a whim which leads to a more intense cuddle session and her whispering how long she’s been waiting to do that

❖ Ian Malcolm

- I’d say you both fell at the same time - At first the flirting between you two was just games and for fun((( well it was for him because at first you would just shake your head and blush or shooting him down but soon you gained confidence and started flirting right back with him which stumped him - This man is gobsmacked but recovers quickly - He likes to place his hand on the small of your back that small intimacy drives the both of you crazy - Of course the two of you are way too stubborn to confess both wanting the other to say something first - You always find yourself floating back to him physical in social settings - Long phone calls in which he will talk and talk and eventually it’s a silent call where you guys are just indulging in the presence of one another - Expect him to bring you coffee, tea, or any other drink ever few days just cause - You give him little Knick knacks and such or books that you enjoyed that is the best way to his heart - He’d be the first one to break, asking you to a cheesy karaoke bar - The two of get so drunk and song as many outrageous songs together <333

❖ Claire Dearing

-(This girl gave me so much trouble ) - she is a businesswoman who doesn’t understand why society makes her feel like she can’t have a good job AND a nice relationship so as the person she is she goes out of her way to find a good partner who can fit with her lifestyle - so her friends take her out for a girls night which then leads to seeing some high school friends that’s where you come in - Claire had a crush on you all of high school never brave enough to talk to you just admiring from the distance - Now it’s still the same, she can face billionaires and dinosaurs but not a stunning person - It’s up to you to go say hi to her in the line for the club - turns out you had the fattest crush on her too - the night was full of banter and buying each other drinks - at the end of the with slurred speech you tell each that you need to get to get her soon and talk - days pass before you follow her on social media then send her a text - it’s weeks before you meet up just talking to each other on FaceTime and text - She’ll send you flowers saying that she just thought they were pretty - When the time finally comes she convinces you to come to the island to see the park (you force her to let you pay for plane tickets but she insists that everything else is on her since she couldn’t come to the mainland to you - Cue a beautiful day at the park where you make her see the magic of the park once more

❖ Owen Grady

- After the stuff he’s been through I think it’ll take a while for him to even realize he likes you - between you and me you guys probably met at a rag tag bar and he was probably showing off his dart skills - PLEASE You would definitely show him up so like the gentleman he buys you a round of whatever you want - next thing you know your friends are pulling you away to go to the next bar (little did you know that he had slipped a napkin with his number on it into your pocket - come Monday you get to your new job and guess who’s one of your coworkers? Mr handsome from the bar - after a few awkward days he invites you to a different bar - “Not like as a date date just like a drinking buddy thing.” He told you - but soon he’s checking up on you during work make sure your not working yourself to death - Those drinking buddy dates turned to hikes turned to stargazing and soon enough you were the one who had to get the confidence and ask him what you guys are - his stomach drops and that is the precise moment he realizes ‘oh shit’ he absolutely adores you- “Why don’t we find out ? Let’s go to that that fancy Thai restaurant at 7 I’ll pick you up.” - Expect him to appear at your door at 6:50 with a big bundle of flowers looking the best he can

❖ Zach Mitchell

- This Romeo was in love before he even knew you - He will try to act cool maybe play a little hard to get - of course he will slip up a whole bunch XD - expect study get togethers for college mostly at the library but one particular time you guys go over to his house. Let’s just say his mom absolutely loves you for your manners/helping Zach get more involved in school, his dad finds the dynamic between you and his son adorable almost reminding him of the young love him and his wife used to have, and the most important person Gray at first he’s not quite sure but when you actually listen to him ramble about Dinos he decides that you are the perfect one for Zach - now we all know that our guy Zach when not in a relationship can get distracted easily by…. Others but this surprising rapidly changes for him after getting close to you - After meeting his family that’s when you fell for him, watching how he’s interacted with his brother and played around with his dad and even helping his mom with dinner preparations -You knew he was a player to say the least so you tried to push feelings aside even distancing yourself from him - But Zach wasn’t really having any of it texting you good morning and good night everyday and even making sure to hand you an energy drink or coffee during the shared class of yours so eventually you gave in allowing yourself to be swallowed by the love you felt for the man - in the end it’s his brother who asks you to a date for Zach plain out calls you one day saying - “The local pizza arcade with Zach 6:30 don’t be late.” - the little weasel was something else because he then called Zach saying something similar and surprisingly you both went arriving at 6:30 sharp - it was the best day of your life

❖ Franklin Webb

- I personally believe that this man is a helpless romantic at heart and I will die on this hill - You care about Dinos and will do anything for them ? - She falls so goddamn hard - Literally doesn’t even have to talk to you. She sees you once and is in love with your hair your face your body language. When she finally talks to you ? She is head over heels. - Will try her hardest to impress you in anyway Loves just,,… talking to you - For you, it takes you longer but you definitely think it’s cute how she’s acting. After a while she gets comfortable with you and then one day she takes you to the Dino black market (after instructing you to stay by her side the whole time) - Some random person shoved you out of the way while you were looking at one of the cute baby dinosaurs and then said person decide to be an absolute pig - Cue Kayla pummeling this person and then taking you to the bathroom barricading the door and cleaning you up - That’s when you knew. Your heart tugs while in that bathroom and it wasn’t just because of your busted lip - “Kay ?” She was washing her face now in the sink and whipped around to you, drying her face with her sleeve quickly - “No, honey your gonna make that cut worse.” And then she was fussing over you once more bringing a towel to your mouth. Kayla always wished to be this close to you but now in this situation it was like a nightmare. This was all her fault she should never have brought you here - You caught her wrist and looked into her eyes seeking comfort. “Can we just go back to the hotel you please. I just want to watch a movie and rest” - “Yeah yeah I can do that.” Just like that reality came crashing down on her. Her own mind telling her you would never want to see her again after this“ - And will you….. can you….. can you stay with me?” Kayla knows she shouldn’t have but she beamed at your question, chest inflating about five sizes - “Of course I can honey.” Just like that her arm was around you leading you out of the underground market and up to the hotel you two were staying at

What a Jurassic Mess

One Chapter Two

Gray ran up the steps to the Innovation Center pausing to look back at his siblings every so often.

“Come on!” He called out excitedly bouncing in place on the steps when everyone but Zach sped up a bit.

“Relax.” Zach called out as he started walking up the stairs, Gray glared slightly at him before continuing up the stairs.

“Come on!” He called out again, causing Zach to roll his eyes.

“Dude, chill.”

Nora and Gray pushed the doors open looking around excitedly as their siblings followed behind them. Zara barely made it through the doors as she paid too much attention to her phone. The announcer chimed overhead as the siblings looked at the holographic platform displaying a life-size projection of an Apatosaurus roaring seemingly at them.

“Welcome to the Innovation Center, where technology meets Prehistory. Join us on an exciting journey 65 million years into the past.” Gray rushes over the Mr. DNA Show, and after looking over the screen he immediately begins pushing buttons, reciting the answers.

“Cytosine, Guanine, adenine, and thymine. The same four things in everything that ever lived.” A 3-D Mr. DNA appeared on screen with a thumbs up before the computer called out.

“Test your knowledge!” Zach walked up beside him looking around grumpily as their other siblings had dispersed to their own areas.

“Hey, don’t wander off, all right? Mom’s not paying me for babysitting.”

“Mom never pays you for babysitting.” Gray said unimpressed and Zach is cut off from responding by Claire calling out to Gray.

“Gray, is that you?” She asked, smiling as she held her phone to her ear walking down the stairs. Gray and Nora hurried over grinning as they called out to her.

“Aunt Claire!” Claire rushed finishing the call as she made it to the bottom of the stairs.

“Okay, yeah. No, I’m going to have to go. My nephews and nieces are here.” She hung right as the two hugged her causing her to smile in surprise and awkwardly hug them back. “Hi!” She laughs patting their backs looking down at them. “Oh, my gosh you guys are so sweet!” She turns smiling at Alice, Simon, and Zach as they walk closer. “Whoa! Zach Simon! Last I saw you two, you were like..” She held her hand a little higher then Gray and Nora’s height causing a grin to spread on Alice’s face and Simon ruffled his hair awkwardly. “That must’ve been, what? Three, four years ago?” Zach frowned, rolling his eyes slightly.

“Ya, seven. Seven years.” He said unimpressed, causing Simon to elbow him before moving forward.

“But close, you know! It’s good to see you again, Aunt Claire, you look beautiful.” Claire smiled softly at Simon.

“Thank you Simon, you’ve both grown up handsomely. I see you already got your wrist bands! This is for food!” She said, pulling a card out and handing it to Alice with a smile. “Zara is going to be taking care of you until I’m off work tonight, okay?” Zara glanced up uninterested before returning to her phone, and Gray looked up at her upset while Nora looked at Alice in understanding.

“You’re not coming with us?” Gray asked, causing Claire to look down at him awkwardly.

“Oh, um, I really wish that I could, but tomorrow I can take you into the control room, show you behind the scenes and all of that. That’s…that's gonna be cool, right?” She asks, smiling at them before her phone rings, not noticing the disappointed and unimpressed looks she was getting. “Okay, so I will see you tonight at, uh, uh, six.” Zara didn’t look up from her phone as she responded to Claire.

“No, no, don't forget you have the…” She stopped when Claire cut her off, nodding.

“Right, of course. I will see you tonight at eight. What time do you go to sleep? Or, or, do you go to sleep at different times?” They don’t respond as her phone continues to ring and she checks it. “Okay, so, um, have fun.” Claire turns to look at Zara. “And take very good care of them.” She smiled at them before walking off through the holographic dinosaur answering the phone. “Yeah, No, I’m here.” Simon smiles tightly at Zach and Alice before pulling Gray and Nora close.

“Well let’s set off. I have it on good authority that the T-Rex will be feeding soon!” Zach snorted, tilting his head to the side.

“Who’s authority?” Simon gave him a deadpan look before rolling his eyes playful and holding up a pamphlet.

“Well as I can tell, I’m the only one who grabbed the paper that tells you everything that's happening.” He said smugly, earning a laugh from Alice who took the pamphlet walking towards the doors.

“Nice one Bub! Alright let’s set out!”

Gray was bouncing up and down trying to see over all the others at the petting zoo. Zach stood by him looking around while Alice helped Simon lift Nora up enough to see the babies.

“Zach, lift me up. I can’t see!” Gray called out tugging on his brother's hoodie sleeve. Zach made a face pulling away from him.

“I’m not Dad, and you’re not five.” Gray huffed running to a different spot to get a better look, Zach following.

“I can still ride the Triceratops, or we can go on the spinning dinosaur eggs!” Gray said, looking down when Zach tugged on his shirt.

“Nope and cover up your dork pouch.” Simon gave him a look as he lowered Nora down with Alice.

“Zach.” He said warningly but was cut off when Zach grinned looking behind him at Zara, who was arguing on the phone.

“Scatter.”

“What?” Gray asked, confused only to be pushed slightly as Zach started to run in the opposite direction of their babysitter.

“Go. Run. Go!” He urged grabbing Simon’s hand as he passed him, the others soon following, Nora giggling loudly. Simon groaned as he ran with them, not looking back.

“Zach! You know I suck at running!” Simon lamented before tugging him away from the T-Rex feeding area. “No! She overheard us talking about the T-Rex, that's the first place she’ll go!” He looked around before pulling them toward the Mosasaurus’s enclosure. “Quick, let's get in line!” Zach nodded and the two started running again, their other siblings following behind them. Simon signed leaning against Zach tiredly after they got in line. “Make me run again on this vacation and I might kill you Z.” Zach snorted, rolling his eyes as he looked over at a few girls.

“No you won’t.” He said smirking slightly looking at Simon who was acting overdramatically tired. “Stop being dramatic, Si.” Simon was going to retort but Zach’s phone went off catching all of their attention.

“Zach we said no phones.” Nora said, jabbing him in the side. Zach swatted at her, hitting her arm slightly.

“It's mom, so calm down Miss phone police.” He grumbled before answering the phone. “Hey, mom.”

“Hi mom!” Simon called out leaning against Zach more so that he could hear their mom.

“Hi, I miss you boys. Are you having fun?” Emily asked, smiling as she heard two snorts.

“Yeah, I guess. Aunt Claire gave us passes, so we don’t have to wait in line.” Alice cursed lowly earning a look from Gray. “And we are just now remembering that after standing in line for twenty minutes.” That earned a laugh from Emily until she realized that meant Claire wasn’t there.

“Wait a second, she’s not with you all?” Simon and Zach shared a look as they followed after their siblings to the very obvious ‘Skip the line’ entrance. “Boys I will talk to you later, I love you both tell Alice, Nora and Gray I love them too.” She said before the line went dead, Simon leaned away looking at the ground awkwardly.

“Uh-oh, we got Claire in trouble.” Simon said and Zach shrugged as he pulled him forward.

“Worry about that later, come on, let's watch the show.”

“The Mosasaurus was thought to have hunted near the surface of the water where it could prey on anything it could sink its teeth into.” The announcer said as she clicked a button and a great white shark was moved above the water via a mechanical hook. Gray started bouncing excitedly, shaking both Zach and Simon. Simon laughed while Zach just continued to stare at the photo of his girlfriend on his phone.

“Isn’t it illegal to kill and well, feed great white sharks?” Nora asked, leaning closer to Alice.

“Well in the states and possibly a few other countries, but we’re in Costa Rica so laws are different.”

“Okay folks, let’s see if she’s still hungry after eating already today. She’s a little shy so be nice and give her a hand when she comes out!”

Gray shook them even harder as the Mosasaurus leapt out of the water and its jaws snapped closed around the great white dragging it under the water, sending a pool of water onto the audience. Zach laughed loudly, while Simon groaned, pulling his glasses off having forgotten they were in the splash zone.

“That was so cool!” Gray cheered loudly, earning a laugh from his siblings. As the bleachers started to move downwards, showing them the Mosasaurus underwater.

“Okay, hold on tight! We’re going to give an even closer look at our Mosasaurus!” Gray turned to Zach grin never leaving.

“It has eight-eight teeth!” Zach chuckled looking at him.

“Hey, you wanna see something else cool?”

“Yes!” Nora and Gray yelled at the same time earning a laugh from all the others.

“Hey, I’m gonna skip the Gyrosphere ride. It's a two person only ride and I don’t wanna get stuck with some rando, so you four go and have fun.” Alice said with agrin as they neared the monorail that would take them. Simon looked at her worried and she simply rolled her eyes. “Don’t worry Bub, enjoy the ride and get up close and personal with some dinos! I am going to get up close and personal with all the food this card can buy me!” Zach snorted, nodding to her before steering Nora and Gray onto the monorail, Simon followed right after. Nora and Gray immediately took a seat together leaving Simon and Zach to sit together. After a while it took off, shuttling them to the ride.

Nora and Gray talked quietly in front of them about the dinosaurs they’d seen so far. Simon kept glancing at Zach out of the corner of his eye having noticed that he closed in on himself again. Simon sighed, catching Zach’s attention.

“What did I do?” He asked, trying to keep the hurt out of his voice.

“What?” Simon huffed, rolling his eyes and turning to him.

“What did I do for you to hate me!?” Zach turned to him looking shocked and slightly angry.

“I don’t hate you!” Simon let out a short bitter laugh as he glared at the ground. “What makes you think I hate you!?” Zach question not looking away from his twi,

“What didn’t, Zach?! You don’t spend time with me anymore. Half the time I try to talk to you, you either roll your eyes and walk away or you don’t even acknowledge me! You have a girlfriend that hates my guts and I don’t even know why she does! So you tell me Zach, out of all those actions, what makes you think I wouldn’t get that feeling?” Zach glared, crossing his arms and rolling his eyes at the list.

“You have no room to talk! We’re twins Simon and what was our one big rule? No secrets! And I’ve been waiting for a very long time for you to tell me this secret you’ve been keeping but its been years, and recently it's gotten even worse!” Simon freezes thinking of the only secret he hasn’t told Zach, the secret that he found easier to tell Abby who he just met this year.

“Its, that's…Zach.” Simon stuttered at a loss for words terrified to say the words he wanted to tell his brother.

“Just forget it Simon.” Zach snapped, turning and looking out the window.

Simon sighed playing with his hoodie string as he looked down at his converse.

Gray and Nora stood in between the two while they waited in line. Nora argues with Simon about her and Gray going together while Gray mutters facts to Zach.

“Did you know the soft tissue is preserved because the iron in the dinosaur’s blood generates free radicals, and those are highly reactive. So, the proteins and the cell membranes get all mixed up, and and uh…act as a natural preservative. DNA can survive for a millennia that way.” Zach didn’t even hear a word Gray said as he smiles and stares at a group of girls. “See, now, even if the amber mines dry up, they’ll still have bones to-”

“Shut up?” Zach muttered not looking away from them, Gray turned looking at the girls before turning back to him.

“What do you think’s gonna happen from you just staring at them?” He asked, ignoring that the girls burst into giggles together and that he embarrassed his brother. Zach looked at him unimpressed letting out a sigh as they got into the Gyrosphere and drove away.

“Thanks, Man.” Gray smirked slightly, turning to look at the next Gyroshpere.

“You’re welcome.”

“Yes!” Nora cheered, pulling Gray into a hug. “Si agreed that we can ride together as long as we stay on the phone with him and Z! Let's go!” Her and Gray hurried onto the Gyrosphere buckling up and Nora gave Simon and Zach a thumbs up before driving off.

“Let's go Z.” Simon said softly before stepping into their Gyrosphere.

Retrospective Review: Jurassic World (2015)

This is a movie that I remember watching very clearly. In an absolutely full theater, I watched this in an IMAX screening on its opening Saturday. I was so excited to have a new Jurassic movie after 14 years, with Chris Pratt being hot off GOTG, where he was great, and a concept which was something I always wanted to see, which is a functioning park with Dinosaurs in it. I thoroughly enjoyed the film in its release and clearly a lot of people did too, given the massive success it had. I have watched it many times, and though people have started to put down the film in recent years, I think its the 2nd best of the series, just ahead of TLW. An opinion that reaffirmed rewatching the film last night.

This is a genuinely well made, well paced film, which gave me what I wanted. No, its not as good as the first Jurassic Park film and its certainly doesn't delve into the questions of the science in the type of ways the original did, but it is absolutely fun. The film has an excellent intro, with the birth of the Indominus Rex. It really pulls you into the idea that this creature is unnatural right from the very beginning. The film introduces the two JW kids, in Zach and Gray. Its smart how the film introduces the park through the eyes of the kids, and we certainly see some of the awe through Gray, and it also sets up that the world has gotten used to Dinosaurs, through the reaction of Zach. The film then introduces us to Claire and the grown I-Rex, and subsequently Owen and the pack of Raptors. The film does a neat job showing a functioning Dinosaur park. The parallels to Universal Studios and Sea World are very obvious. The park feels like it could exist. I got a good chuckle out of little touches, like the Jaws reference with the Mosasaurus, and the exhausted and disinterested park employee overseeing the line for the ride. It all rang very true.

I think the film does a good job introducing the I-Rex as a terrifying beast and they expand on the Velociraptor mythology by emphasizing on the intelligence. The bond between Owen and the Raptors, particularly Blue, is well depicted. The film spends the first half hour or so setting up the various characters and their dynamics and the central Dinosaurs, before the Indominus finally breaks out. The breakout sequence is fairly chilling. Trevorrow also does a fairly good job of not showing the Indominus in its full until a little later. There is a sense of mystery surrounding the creature. I also really like the design of the Indominus. It looks distinctive and feels actually like a mix of the T-Rex and a Velociraptor, which are the main Dinosaurs of the series. I think the I-Rex works really well as the villain for the movie because there is a genuine threat level throughout the movie with it rampaging through the Park. The film also has got a bright visual palette and so its a very inviting film in that way. The SFX are also much better so we are able to see the Dinosaurs in broad daylight. The film has a constant momentum to it after the I-Rex breakout. Also, I liked that they managed to talk about how the Dinosaurs in JW aren't exactly how they would have actually looked like. The gradual progression in paleontology since the first JP has led to many new discoveries about Dinosaurs and the film cleverly uses the genetic splicing idea as a way to fill the hole as to why the Dinosaurs as we have seen, don't hold up to what science says about them. I honestly felt it was quite realistic that the film leant into the gene splicing and species hybrids. It just felt like the next logical step in the evolution of the science. They also do a pretty good job showing the commercialization of the Dinosaurs and the Parks.

The action sequences are terrific. The Birdcage sequence, the Raptor attack sequence, all the I-rex attack sequences are excellent, but the climax is what makes me giddy as a school boy. Watching the I-Rex square off against the T-Rex, Velociraptor, and eventually the Mosasaurus is something I never knew I wanted. Its dumb, but glorious in the best way possible. I like to think that all these felt that that the I-Rex was something truly unnatural and didn't belong in the ecosystem. That really made the movie for me and I remember the audience in the theater absolutely loved it.

Now, the film definitely isn't perfect. The Raptor as weapons storyline has always struck me as something that is a bit too unrealistic and goofy even for this series. I just don't buy the idea that the military would want to use carnivorous creatures that can turn on you, as weapons. To the film's credit, Owen and Omar Sy's character seem to find the idea just as ridiculous as I did. The human villains in this movie are weak. The film doesn't really use Vincent D'Onofrio to his full potential. Its never really clear what level of authority he has in the Park and who he really works under. Its all handled in pretty vague terms. There are also some other characters, like Masrani, who feel like they are underused. There feels like there could have been more potential to the character but he's killed off rather abruptly. The two kids are also a little rough in the first 40 mins or so, but once they are forced into survival mode, they actually proved to be pretty good. There is also a somewhat oddly violent death of Katie McGrath's Zara. Its a scene that stands out as something almost a little meanspirited as to how drawn out that death scene was, almost to point of being comical.

The performances are solid. Pratt and Howard aren't exactly being stretched that much but they both have screen presence. Pratt uses his innate likability to good effect. He has a few fun touches in his role, like how he smirks while riding through the jungle with the Raptors, as even he is realizing how awesome this is. Howard's character is truly the protagonist of this film as she has the most clearly defined arc in this film, going from a detached businesslike park runner, to someone who embraces a maternal instinct towards her nephews and learns to appreciate the Dinosaurs as animals. Jake Johnson adds some fun humor to the proceedings as a control room employee. Ty Simpkins and Nick Robinson are solid as Gray and Zach. Irrfan Khan makes the most out of his screentime as Masrani. He shares some good scenes with BD Wong, who returned to the franchise with this film. Vincent D'Onofrio also does the best with what he's got. Omar Sy, Katie McGrath, and Judy Greer round out the cast effectively.

All in all, I am a die hard defender of this movie. No, this is not a JP classic but its a lot of fun. Trevorrow nails the tone and the pacing of the film. It doesn't go on for too long. Michael Giacchino's music is also memorable. Overall, this movie is an 8.5/10 for me.

- Ah our old Dino man I feel like he wouldn’t typically initiate physical touch - Lets get down to business though because he has a very protective nature which gets heightened after the park experience and this means that he prefers to have his back to the door or window so his body is a barrier between you and anything that comes into your shared room - when you do finally get his to cuddle it escalates really quick not in a yall are finna have sex kind of way but in a ever body part will be touching your legs will be tangled together hands are being held and do not be fooled he will tease you about it in the morning when he gets up to get you all morning coffee or tea - Now if you not in the mood for that kind of cuddling he totally understands but he does want to have some connection especially if you are feeling off like a simple hand holding, hand on the waist, forehead resting on the back of your neck or between your shoulder blades -He just wants to make sure you are there and won't disappear and that you know he is there for you

- Claire is a multitasker now if you ask her for undivided attention she will give it to you a tv show running in the background or a podcast playing would be appreciated - At the beginning of y’all’s relationship sue wouldn’t be big on cuddles but once she realizes that this thing you guys have is amazing and needs to be cherished f u c k she will come up behind you when you are doing anything and hug you, slowly rubbing circles on your stomach with her thumbs - Most of the time you will still have to come to her for a good cuddle session but if she picks up on you being stressed or slightly out of the vibe she will drag you to bed or the couch and snuggle into each others embrace - If you try the historical picture with the two females one straddling the other doing the others make up thats it she will be absolutely whipped

- This man is always stressed and the quickest way to his heart is a quiet night in laying in bed - Typically he likes to hold you in any sense its a security thing but after a particular rough day at his work he will flop into bed and ask in a tired voice for some cuddles and this means he wants to be held because other wise it feels like he may fall apart -One time you decided to read to him while he was on top of you with his head on your chest and now it is his favorite thing on earth - On special days such as birthdays or anniversaries he’ll sneak out get your favorite breakfast then make it all fancy and serve it to you “Bon appétit, my sunshine.”

Zia Rodriguez

- Lets get this straight (hehe) she likes being cuddled aka shes the small spoon - She is a titty person she just likes them. Man titties, small titties, big titties, perky titties, average titties, top surgery titties, lopsided titties, and even boob job titties.
