Very useful guide by Nerrel for setting up gyro aiming in PC games.

I know I could just be a keyboard warrior and use a mouse, but it hurts my hands after extended use. Controllers are comfy and it's nice being able to make small aim adjustments with my wrists to line up shots in games.

Oh man- Here’s the first look at my big video project, my “Your Stupid Face” animatic! I’ve been mentioning this baby on-and-off, but I finally have a few shots I can show you!

I knew from the moment I found this song that I absolutely had to make an animatic. Because it just fit my weirdo OC x Canon nerds, My OC Mira and Gyro Gearloose, to an absolute T. And I guess you’ll hopefully get to see that play out! ...Apologies in advance.

I’ve been working at this baby for a good bit, and we still have a LONG road ahead. But hopefully I can show more frames as I chip away at this thing! And in the meantime, I might make some smaller videos if I’m able. I’ve been dying to make more videos!

From this point, I’ll be showing any progress on this video through my YouTube community posts, so be sure to check out my channel if you wanna! I’m still real stressed with college, but I’d really love to work towards being a bit more active with my YT channel.

just found an article from 2015 that said "if you dont turn off gyro controls splatoon is a terrible game" meanwhile like gyros are the most important thing to me in splatoon. if i didnt have gyro aiming i couldnt play it

i'm almost ready to give up on splatoon 3 entirely. i hate that actual shooting takes a backseat to dumb strategy. i hate gyro aim. i hate the busted matchmaking. as awesome as the aesthetics are, it isn't worth it if i don't enjoy the gameplay.

but i haven't actually tried the singleplayer yet. or salmon run. so maybe theres still a way i can enjoy the series?

I saw a video the other day where a guy was talking about using gyro aim on a controller for tf2 and I was like oh that sounds fun! I remember using that a bit in the 3ds zelda remakes!

so last night I set it up to try and play blands 2 for a bit and it is intensely disorientating lmao

#part of me wants to see if I can bind gyro to the steering wheel in 5za but I think that's almost certainly a bad idea lol #I can see how it would be viable for console fps games though #aiming on dual analog sticks feels atrocious

the metroid prime remaster is genuinely like probably one of my favorite remasters ever i love the og trilogy to death but i do think the controls are a bit clunky bc i tried to replay 1 a few months ago and God. its an fps that plays like no other

except the thermal visor is like sort of headache inducing. everything else is extremely swag

#i think bc they were so stuck on using the c stick to swap what gun u use.. #i thought id be using gyro but using the stick to aim is wayyy more comfortable bc the gyro is paired w classic controls #ie it only turns on when ur ai #ming and u dont move when aiming #so the pace can be slow #idr the color assist being in the first game either #theres no keybinding options but it boggles my mind how other remasters come out and dont add accessibilty features like this #can NOT believe dread actually came out. was good. and then prime 1 got remastered. and is also good
