This post is dedicated to one of my favorite characters in Tokyo Afterschool Summoners for his birthday on December 12:

Wakan Takna

I would like to write this fanfic about him based on that I have a Love Relationship with him in the game and maybe reveal who I would like to voice him and certain other characters if TAS were ever dubbed. Here it is:

NOTE: I would like to apologize if this will be posted late. Stuff like this always happens to me.

The Story

WARNING: Some partial nudity and sexual content, but nothing too R.

How long have I been in this world that is Tokyo?

How long has it been since the Invaders came?

How long has it been... since I lost him to them?

My Wakan Tanka...

When the Invaders came, they took him and he changed into something else. Something that just isn’t him. The App said that Wakan Tanka had love so much that he wore out the form he had when he first arrived in Tokyo and forced him back the form he had back in his homeworld of Great Spirit. A form that can never truly love anyone special, but gives love equally to all. Even though the App treats him as a separate being and I could still call him to battle, it still didn’t change the fact that things were now different. Now, when he looks at me, he doesn’t even recognize me. It was as if I was a stranger to him. A passing dream that is eventually forgotten. He no longer loves me the way he did. I was just another faceless person in the crowd... My heart was broken.

My friends in my Guild tried to cheer me up. Shiro suggested I read a book about losses, Kengo wanted to spar with me, Ryota took me to an all-you-can-eat buffet, Moritaka gave me a movie night, and Toji... Well, he’s still figuring it out. But nothing seems to be working.

As I laid there depressed on my bed in my dorm room, I thought about all the times me and Wakan had together, knowing that I might never seem him again. I look at my calendar. It was December 11. Wakan’s birthday was tomorrow, but there was no reason to celebrate it since he is no longer here. I was on the verge of tears when a familiar being came out of my phone.

“Oh Master, I’ve never seen you this down. It just breaks my heart to see yours broken. Is there anything I can do for you?”

“I’m not sure,” I said, bitterly. “Unless you know how to bring him back, that would be great.”

Lil’ Solomon thought for a moment... and had an idea.

“Maybe there is a way,” he said.

I bolted up at this news.

“How?” I said.

“Well, I’ve heard tale of a Transient who, like Wakan Tanka, is from Great Spirit. Someone skilled in Magic. I’m not sure if he can help, but it’s worth a shot.”

“Where is he?”

“From what I’ve heard, he was last scene going to some noodle restaurant. If you hurry, you can still catch him. I just hope you’ll be lucky to do so. They say he was hard to catch even back in his homeworld.”

I quickly get up and run for the door, hoping to catch whoever may help me.

I arrived at the restaurant. I look around and, just as Lil’ Solomon predicted, there he was.

“Wow! Mineaki was right. These are the best noodle around. Excuse me, can I have another?”

“That’s you twelfth bowl,” said the chef. “I hope you can pay for that.”

I take my seat in front of the new Transient.

“Excuse me,” I said. “Can I sit here?”

“I don’t see why not,” said Bigfoot. “Hold on, I know you. You’re Lupin Stone. Am I right?”

“Yes. How did you know?”

“Some of my fellow Guild members told me about you. So, what can I do you for?”

I was hesitant at first, but I finally got the courage to ask.

“It’s... It’s about Wakan Tanka...”

Bigfoot nearly chocked on his water when I said his name. Then, a look of fury comes to his face.

“Don’t ever mention him!” he shouted. “That traitor is no good at all.”

“It’s not his fault!” I defended. “When the Invaders came, something happened to him. He’s not himself. That’s why I’m here. A friend of mine said that you might be able to... bring back the Wakan Tanka I knew... The one I love.”

Bigfoot thought for a moment about what I just said.

“I’ve heard about your relationship with him,” he said. “About how he came to finally find the one he loves more than anyone he’s ever loved. And how his love wore him out and reduced him back who he was back home. It seems you still love him and you wish for him back.”

I nodded to say yes.

“Well... Perhaps I might be able to help.”

“You can?” I asked eagerly.

“There’s this ritual I think that might do the trick. But I can’t make any promises. Are you sure you wish to do so?”

I was silent for a moment, but I know it had to be done.

“As long as there is even the slightest chance I can see him again, I will take it.”

“Very well... But first, do you think you can pay for my meal. I don’t think I have enough Coins.”

In the Summon’s safe house, the main members of my Guild who are also my closest friends, Shiro, Kengo, Ryota, Toji, and Moritaka. heard about what is to happen tonight and came to show their support.

NOTE 2: In my copy of the game, Shiro and Kengo are in a Love Relationship. I am hoping to do the same for Ryota with Krampus, Toji with Hogen, and Moritaka with Shino. Also, I used to be in a relationship with Boogeyman, but I broke up with him. Now, I’m hoping to have him be in a relationship with Goemon. And Jinn and Triton were also in a relationship up until he turned into Dagon.

“Are you sure about this, Lupin? I know I’ve read a few things about shamanism and what it can do, but I don’t want to see you disappointed if this doesn’t work.”

“I know,” I said. “But if there’s even the slightest chance I can see Wakan again, I’d take it.”

“I understand how you feel, Lupin. When Yog-Sothoth had a hold of Shiro, I was more than scared. It felt like something just reached into my chest and tried to rip out my heart. I was afraid we would lose him... I was afraid of losing Shiro.”

“But in the end, you all helped me,” Shiro assured his boyfriend. “I have all of you to thank for that.”

Shiro and Kengo got close together to comfort each other.

“I get what you are saying, too. If anything happened to Krampus, I wouldn’t know what to do.”

“It is the same with Hogen. It would be too painful.”

“That goes double for me and Shino. I couldn’t bare it if I lost him.”

“And I heard that Mr. Jinn is still having a hard time getting over what happened to Mr. Triton,” said Ryota. “Don’t get me wrong, though, it’s nice that Dagon is filling in for him since they shared a body, but it’s just not the same.”

“We’re here for you, Lupin,” said Shiro. “If you really think this might work, we’re with you all the way.”

“Thank you,” I said. They’re really good friends.

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door.

“It’s open!” I cried.

It opens and Bigfoot comes in.

“Everything’s set. Are you ready?”

I take something out of my bag... It was Wakan’s football helmet.

“I’m ready as I’ll ever be,” I said, my heart bounding in my chest almost like a storm.

“Then I’ll bring him in.”

Following Bigfoot into the safehouse... Wakan Tanka Infinity comes in.

“... You sent for me, Lupin Stone?”

It was painful to hear him call me by my full name. I was no long “My Lupin”.

“I know why had Bigfoot bring me here,” he continued. “Do you miss him that much? The me I was when I came to this world?”

I nodded, almost tearfully and said, “More than anything.”

“Yes, I sensed it when I arrived in his stead. And you are willing to go through with this just to see him again?”

I nod again.

“... My Role is to give love to everyone equally, though I can never truly love anyone more especially than all the others... But if this is the only way I can gave you any love... Then I cannot object and must let you do this.”

Hearing this, I was almost thankful. Wakan Tanka Infinity knew how much I love who he was before becoming what he is now.

“Then it is settled,” said Bigfoot.

He makes a circle of green powder on the floor as Wakan Tanka Infinity strips himself to his briefs and I gave him the helmet... It was now close to midnight.

“Now, once you step inside this circle, you are willing to undergo what is to take place here,” instructed Bigfoot. “And once it is done, it cannot be undone, you must let it run its course. Do you understand?”

"If that is what it takes to give love to Lupin Stone, then I do.”

“Good. Now, step inside.”

With that, Wakan Tanka Infinity enters the circle of powder. Then, we open the App on our phones.

“Shiro, dim the lights, please.”

“What for?” asked Shiro, going to the knob that controls the lights.

“You’ll see.”

Shiro turns the knob and the lights get dimmer and the room gets darker, our phones the only source of light. Then, to our amazement, Bigfoots staff, tattoos, and even his horns start to glow. He taps the circle with the bottom of his staff and it also glows. Green streams of light then surround Wakan Tanka Infinity until he was completely wrapped up like some kind of magical girl transformation. Almost like a cocoon of green light.

“Role of the Wanderer, Rule of Guidance, engrave mine name, Charlie Bigfoot of the Snowy Mountain Tribe, unto thee. We seek the one whom the Bone-Weary Bovine was before becoming such, the form he took when he arrived in this world. Though he may only return to us for one whole day, let him appear. This is what we wish...”

“This is what I command!”

Finally, with one might strike from the end of his staff, Bigfoot hits the circle and a blinding flash of light come forth. We all had to shield our eyes and we could not see... The clock strikes midnight. After what seemed like forever, the light dies down and was gone, leaving us in pitch black. Shiro goes to the knob and turns the lights back on.

There, in the circle, as if always there to begin with... was the one I lost, the one I miss, the one I love.

“Mmm... Ugh... What... What happened?”

Wakan Tanka was a bit disoriented, but managed to regain himself quickly. He looks around and recognizes where he is. Then, his eyes fell upon me.

“M- My... My Lupin?”

My eyes were now full of tears to hear him call me that... He was back. I ran to embrace him.

“I missed you!”

“It’s good to have you back, Wakan Tanka,” said Shiro.

“It looks like the spell was a success,” said Bigfoot, wiping the sweat from his brow and proud of his work.

“Bigfoot?” said Wakan, surprised. “You’re here.”

“And so are you... But we’ll have to explain a little later. Right now, I think our current appearance is making everyone too excited along with your return.”

No doubt, the rest of us were getting excited.

A little later after Wakan and Bigfoot got changed, we told them everything that happened.

“I’m sorry, My Lupin. The truth is I could see and hear what was happening, but I was not in control of my actions. I couldn’t even touch you, never mind love you. It was like watching a television I couldn’t turn off or change the channel.”

“I’m sorry you had to go through all that,” said Bigfoot.

“But you’re back now,” said Kengo. “So it should be alright, right?”

“It should be... But it’s not permanent. I cast this spell using the App. Usually, the effects are undone when it’s closed. But I managed to use a lot of Magic so it would stay in effect after the App is closed. But only for 24 hours. I cast it at exactly midnight. So, after the last echo of the last chime of the last stroke of midnight, the spell will wear off and Wakan Tanka will once again be his other self.”

“So he will be himself for this one whole day?” said Toji. “I guess that is appropriate since it is his birthday.”

“Then that doesn’t give us a lot of time,” said Shiro. “We should make this the best birthday Wakan Tanka has ever had... Since it might be the only one.”

“Yeah!” we all cheered in agreement.

“And I think I know how!” Ryota cheered along.

He takes something out of his bag. It looked like VIP passes.

"Tsathoggua said that the Tycoons, in collaboration with the Creators, are having this event where we get to go to their private beach. Tsathoggua said that he couldn’t go because of this even on his online game that he didn’t want to miss. So, he gave me some of these passes. There’s a lot, so I was hoping I could invite all of you to come.”

“Well, they are giving us a break from studying early for the Holidays,” said Shiro. “I think we can go. It’ll be the perfect way to celebrate Wakan’s birthday.”

“I would love that,” said Wakan. “Thank you, My Shiro. And you, too, My Ryota.”

“It’s no big deal,” said Ryota. “Hey, is it alright if I could invite Krampus? I know he and everyone at the Santa School are busy getting ready, but when we last spoke, he seemed a little stressed. I already spoke with Ded and he says it’s okay for him to take a small break.”

“I don’t see why not,” I said. “The more, the merrier... Christmas... Get it?”

"I would like to invite Hogen along, as well,” said Toji

“And Shino,” added Moritaka. “He said that Tadatomo for some training on his own and things with the Outlaws have been very slow lately as everyone is winding down for the Holidays.”

“We have a lot of passes,” said Ryota. “I think we can squeeze in some more. How about you, Bigfoot? Do you wanna tag along?”

“Really?” asked Bigfoot, a little surprised, but happy. “I think I can. Back home, my tribe didn’t have many pow wows and potlaches and I usually watch the other tribes do them from afar. This will probably be the first big even I’ve been invited to... But the way, you don’t mind I bring one more, do you?”

“You bet,” said Ryota.

“I think I would also like to invite Boogeyman,” I said. “I know we broke up, but I don’t want him to miss all the fun.”

“That would be nice,” said Bigfoot. “And I think he would like to invite Goemon, as well.”

“Then it’s settled. We’re off to have some winter beach fun!”

Wakan was happy to know I have so many friends. And even more to know that he was with me again, even though it was for just one day.

We all arrive at the Tycoon’s private beach under the Tokyo Casino in Minato Ward. Coming hear, you could hardly tell that we were fast approaching winter.

“Goodness! This is really under here!? It really feels like we’re in the tropics.”

“I guess the Tycoons decided to follow that famous saying: Spare no expense.”

“You’ve got to expect this kind of thing, Toji. These people love to show off their wealth.”

“It’s so hot and stifling here and I’m all furry. How are you holding up, Shino?”

“I’m sweat so much, I knew I should have brought my hat with me. Other than that, I’m fine.”

“I’m not worried about the heat. If it does get to hot for my fur, I can just do this!”

*POOF!*

“Kankarakara! Master Thief Ishikawa Goemon appears in the sea tonight!”

“You never cease to impress me when you do that.”

“Oh right, I never thought about the temperature here. Are you alright, Krampus? I’m not sure you’re used to a tropical climate.”

“Don’t worry. I’ve been in hotter situations than this. And you’re right, I needed this break. Preparing for the Holidays can be stressful. Thank you.”

“You’re welcome,” said Ryota, happy.

“You gotta admit, this still looks hella fun. I can’t wait to hit it up!”

“Yes it is. And I’m so happy I could see this with all of you for my birthday... Especially you, My Lupin.”

“And you, Wakan.”

We hold hands which made us feel warm and good. Everyone couldn’t help but feels all the feels, too, as they too held hands with their significant other... With the exception of Bigfoot.

“That reminds me, where’s your guest, Bigfoot.”

“He got here ahead before us,” he said. “He’s hiding now, but we’ll see him soon. Right now, it looks like they’re about to start.”

We all go to stage set up on the boardwalk where Licht and Gyumao of the Tycoons and Arachne and Kuniyoshi of the Creators were present.

“Guten Tag, everyone! And welcome to our first annual Beach Bash in Winter! We’re so glad you could make it today.”

“The reason for this is because we want to give all of you a chance to relax and have fun before you all get swept up in the Holiday Craziness. Not that we’re saying the Holidays are bad.”

“Indeed. The Holidays is important to a lot of people. Including me as a fashionista. This event is to give you all a sneak peek at my new swimwear early and to promote my new winterwear. Order forms are ready at my shop here on the boardwalk.”

“I’m really looking forward to see the Therians in either one.”

“Keep it together, Kuniyoshi,” whispered Licht, then returns to his speech. “So we all hope that you will enjoy this wonderful day.”

Then, the four of them shouted...

“And again, thank you for coming!”

Everyone applauded and went on to enjoy the event. Then, the four notice us and come to us.

“Lupin, honey, you came,” said Arachne, delighted.

“It’s good to see you again, Arachne,” I greeted back.

“I’m glad to see Tsathoggua's invitation did not go to waste,” said Licht.

“I’m pretty sure he does wish to be here,” said Ryota. “But I guess he couldn’t wait for that online event, either.”

“I'm pretty sure,” said Kuniyoshi, a little disappointed.

Suddenly, Gyumao noticed Wakan and makes a scowl.

“I see you brought an Invader to the party,” he said rudely.

“I apologize if my other self was of any trouble to you, My Tycoons and Creators,” apologized Wakan.

“I am not sure you should be here,” said Licht, getting worried. “We know you’re your old self now, but I don’t think our guests see that right now. The Invaders are bad for business.”

“Please don’t send him away,” begged Arachne. “He’s wearing one of my earlier designs. It really takes me back. It must be Throwback Thursday.”

“Actually, it’s Monday,” corrected Shiro.

“My point is, he’s already been through enough. Please show him some mercy.”

“And I can assure you, if anything happens that could cause him to revert back before the spell runs its course, I would be there to help,” said Bigfoot.

Licht and Gyumao were still a little doubtful about this. Kuniyoshi didn’t know whose side he should be on.

“Did I mention it’s his birthday today?” I added. “And Bigfoot’s spell will only let him be with us for this one day.”

“Do as he says,” said a voice from behind them.

He comes out from behind them.

“Hey, there you are!” said Bigfoot with glee.

I could not believe my eyes at seeing who came to our rescue.

“Look, Lupin is the last person I want to be helping. But I respect Bigfoot. If he asks me to do this, I will. So let them have their fun.”

Licht and Gyumao thought a little more, but finally they gave in.

“Alright,” said Gyumao. “But there had better be no trouble today.”

“As a teacher, I will take full responsibility,” said Boogeyman.

“You better. Now, for the sake that it’s Wakan Tanka’s birthday, enjoy yourselves.”

“The VIP passes will let you have anything from the stores, restaurants, and stands here on the house,” explained Arachne. “Any questions?”

“Do they have bakeries here?” asked Shiro. “That way, we can get a cake for Wakan.”

We found a part of the beach that didn’t have much people. Just perfect for us to have some time just us.

“Last one in is a rotten egg!”

“We’ll see about that!”

“Cannonball!”

“Cowabunga!”

The two of them jump right into the water, splashing about with glee.

“You two.”

"C’mon, let’s go in!”

“I’m with you all the way!”

“Come on, Toji, the water’s great!”

“Y- Yes, Master Hogen.”

“Are you ready for this?”

“A chance for us to outswim everyone here? ... Let’s go for it.”

“Settle down, all of you, it’s not a competition. We’re here to celebrate Wakan Tanka’s birthday and have fun... But if it were...”

“Prepare to get splashed!”

Boogeyman jumps in and makes a big wave. It was frightening at first, but everyone was having fun.

“That looks like so much fun. Kirito are you sure you don’t want to go in with us?”

“Do I have to, Bigfoot? I don’t even have swimwear (yet).”

“Suit yourself. We’ll only be here until tomorrow.”

“I’ll be fine. Besides, someone’s gotta look after our stuff. I was a Tycoon for awhile and their security isn’t always reliable.” He sits down on a lunge chair with a book open as Bigfoot joins the others

“Shall we go in, too, My Lupin?”

“Together.”

With that, me and Wakan go in the water and have fun with the others. We swam, we splashed, dived under, even surfed. Wakan was still not a good swimmer, but I was with him all the way.

A little later, it was time for lunch. Ryota and Krampus decided to make it while Boogeyman and Goemon went back to the boardwalk to get a birthday cake from the bakery. Kengo and Moritaka set up a volleyball net for us to play beach volleyball.

“I wish could play, too,” sighed Krampus. “But I think the ball will pop in my claws if I catch it. I think it would be best for me to continue helping Ryota.”

“It’s okay,” said Ryota, placing kabobs and corn-on-a-cob on the grill. “We’ll smash some watermelons later.”

“I think I might be too strong for either of those games,” said Bigfoot. “Don’t wanna blast someone away or bust their head open.”

“It’s alright,” assured Shiro. “We should keep it an even number anyway. Bigfoot, you could be the referee.”

“I could do that.”

“Okay, so here’s how it goes,” explained Kengo. “We divide into four teams of two. I’m with Shiro, Lupin’s with Wakan, Toji with Hogen, and Moritaka with Shino. The two winners of the first two matches will face each other. The loser will do the same. We okay with that?”

We all agree.

“So, I think me and Kengo will go against Lupin and Wakan first,” said Shiro. “Later Toji and Hogen will have a go with Moritaka and Shino.”

With that, me and Wakan go to one side of the net while Shiro and Kengo go to the other.

“Are both teams ready?” asked Bigfoot. “Good... Begin!”

“I’ve gotta warn ya,” smirked Kengo. “I’ve improved on my volleyball playin’ lately. You better be ready.”

"Here we come!”

“Sorry, but we have to win!”

Indeed, Kengo and Shiro were a pretty good team... But they forgot one thing... I have Wakan on my side. Though this is not football, Wakan is a true sportsman. After a few good spikes from the both of us, we won.

“Lupin and Wakan win!” announced Bigfoot.

“Shoot, I thought we had it,” said Kengo, but took the loss well.

“Next up: Toji and Hogen versus Moritaka and Shino.”

“Ready to show them what Team Law Enforcer can do?” said Hogen happily.

“I will go with you wherever, Master Hogen,” Toji also said happily.

“Go, Team Law Enforcer!”

“Well, Team Law Enforcer,” taunted Shino with a wicked grin. “Prepare to face the might of Team Law Breaker!”

“Just don’t over do it, Shino,” said a worried Moritaka.

“He’s right,” agreed Bigfoot.

“Sorry, no promises.”

“I see,” said Moritaka. “If you’re not going to hold back...”

“Neither will I!”

Indeed, they did not. After a long tiring match, Team Law Breaker won.

“That was brutal,” said Bigfoot.

“But oddly fun,” panted Toji with a smile.

“Looks like we have our bracket. First: Team Law Enforcer versus Team Strong Brain. Finally: Team Law Breaker versus Team Love Power.”

With that, Toji and Hogen go to one side of the net while Shiro and Kengo go to the other.

“Alright,” said Hogen. “We may have blown it in the last one, but this time...”

“Thing wings are out.”

Sure enough, Hogen made it a windy bat- I mean, match as Toji makes waves. Before we knew it, they won.

“I have to re-read the rulebook,” sighed Shiro. “This can’t be allowed.”

“Then again, it’s not boring,” Kengo also sighed.

“Team Law Enforcer wins!” announced Bigfoot. “Now, Team Law Breaker and Team Love Power, it’s your go.”

“I hope you two are ready,” warned Shino. “In the last one, I was just getting started.”

“So was I, My Shino,” said Wakan. “Let’s do this, My Lupin!”

Lupin: “We can win this beach together, My Wakan Tanka.”

Wakan Tanka: “Yes. This beach is where our greatest memories are.”

Both:

“Now, as one! Buffalo Beach Formation!”

We were now in a hearted volleyball match that anyone has ever seen. Before we knew it, we were tied with only a little time left on the game clock.

“We just need one more point,” I panted.

“Then I’ll get it for us,” said Wakan with fiery determination. He then takes the ball. “Here I go!”

“This is for us!”

Then, with great force like the ultimate athlete, Wakan Tanka spikes the ball (we’ll pretend that’s a volleyball he has) over the net... and it hits Team Law Breaker’s side like a shooting star, even leaving a smoking creator. We were overwhelmed.

“Does this mean Lupin and Wakan won?” whispered Toji.

“I don’t know what it means,” Hogen whispered back.

“What happened?” I asked.

“I... I’m not sure,” said Wakan, also shaking. “Is it because I was my former self?”

“Maybe,” said Bigfoot. “As the day get’s closer to ending, the closer we are for the spell to wear off. I think Wakan Tanka Infinity’s powers are leaking out back to you.”

I was scared and so was Wakan as we knew he was right. I had to remember that Wakan Tanka was only here for this one day, his birthday, and that when it is over... But Bigfoot put his hands on our shoulder with a reassuring smile.

“But midnight is still many hours away. We still have time. You both still have time.”

We both smiled as we knew he was right again. Me and Wakan embrace each other.

“I declare Team Love Power the winners!”

“Are you serious!?” said Shino in shocked disappointment.

“Please be nice, Shino,” said Moritaka, placing his hand on his shoulder. “After all, It’s Wakan’s birthday and he’ll be leaving us soon.”

“Oh, alright. But you owe me for that... Let’s meet up secretly at your dorm tomorrow night while everyone’s asleep.”

“I can take that.”

“Lunch is ready!” announced Ryota as he and Krampus set the table. “Come and get it!”

“And we have the cake!” Boogeyman also announced as he and Goemon return with a cake box and a couple of watermelons.

“We’ll let it up after we eat,” said Goemon. “Right now, I want to see what we’re having.”

We eat the kabobs and corn that Ryota and Krampus made. Shiro also packed some sandwiches and Toji brought some ice tea. Then, it was time to smash the watermelons. First, we berried Boogeyman and Goman was blindfolded as he tries to smash the giant fruit. He nearly hit Boogeyman’s head a couple of time before he finally hit the watermelon. Then, it was mine and Wakan’s turn. Bigfoot insisted I hate the watermelon since Wakan’s Infinity powers were returning and couldn’t use the App to undo any accidents. I hit Wakan’s chest a few times, fortunately, he was strong enough to take it. Finally, with mighty force, I smash the watermelon open. We all have the watermelons and enjoyed the sweetness of it, despite outside this manmade paradise, the first snowfall of winter was happening.

After sometime, it started to get dark. Me and Wakan knew that our time was almost up. So we try to make even more the most of the time we have left.

"I think it’s about time,” said Bigfoot.

Boogeyman takes the cake out of the box and Goemon lights the candles.

“Now make a wish,” I said, softly.

Wakan closes his eyes. After a moment of silence, he blows out the candles. We all cheered.

“Now for some presents,” said Kengo with gusto.

Wakan got a book of football moments and plays from Shiro, a football movie from Kengo, a batch of football and buffalo-shaped cookies from Ryota, a new football from Krampus (covered a bit in coal soot), wax for his helmet from Toji, a sports watch from Hogen, a new sports towel from Moritaka, a straw hat from Shino, and a coupon for a ramen noodle restaurant from Bigfoot.

“I’m not interested in giving gifts,” said Kirito, not wanting to admit that he didn’t know that he was suppose to bring one.

“This next one is from me and Boogeyman,” said Goemon, taking out what looks like a camera. “I’m sure the Crafters won’t mind that I took one of these, their latest creation.”

“Don’t worry, I asked them,” said Boogeyman. “It based off one of those old cameras that took polaroids. But this camera takes full pictures. Care to try it out?”

“I guess so,” said Wakan. “Only if we all join in.”

“I think we’d love that,” I said.

We got together for the picture. Except for Boogeyman, Goemon, Bigfoot, and Kirito.

“I don’t really do pictures,” said Kirito.

“When someone takes a picture of me, I always come out blurry,” said Bigfoot, laughing.

“I think I might be a little too big for this,” said Goemon.

“And I have to take the picture,” said Boogeyman with the camera. “Besides, we think only the Summoners and their significant others should be in the shot.”

“If you say so,” I said.

“Alright. One... Two... Three. Say cheese!”

*snap*

After the picture came out, we all looked at it.

“I think it came out really good,” said Hogen. “Though, you could barely see me.”

“You could barely see me either, but I’m not too unhappy,” said Krampus.

“I wish I knew why Lupin and Wakan aren’t in the front,” wondered Moritaka. “It’s Wakan’s birthday and Lupin is Wakan’s boyfriend.”

“I wonder that myself,” I said.

“So what did you get me, My Lupin?” asked Wakan.

“I could not think of anything. (Anything within my price range, anyway.) But I think I know one thing that might be good.”

“What is it?”

“Well, I don’t know how I know it... It’s a song. I don’t know where I’ve heard it or how I know it. I think it’s one of the few things I remember from my world. But I remember every word.”

“How does it go?”

“I’ll sing it. But I have to warn you, I’m not a good singer.”

“I have faith in you.”

Wakan places his strong and warm hand on my shoulder and I felt good. So, I take a breath and begin to sing.

Everyone applauded when I finished my song. The one who applauded loudest... was Wakan.

“I love it, My Lupin,” he said, trying to hold back tears. “Just as much as I you.”

“Thank you Wakan,” I said, also getting the feels.

“Get a room, you two,” grumbled Kirito.

“Oh, that reminds me,” said Ryota, suddenly. “I told Tsathoggua about Wakan’s birthday and he has a prensent for you, too.”

“He does?” said Wakan, a bit surprised, but happy. “That’s nice of My Tsathoggua. What did he get me?”

“I’m not sure. He only said that it was nearby and... only you and Lupin should go and see it.”

“You can’t come with us?” I asked.

“No. Besides, something tells me this is just for the two of you. Arachne said that she, Licht, Gyumao, and Kuniyoshi will be staying a Licht’s beach house here. I’ll text you the address later.”

“Alright. We’ll see you later.”

With that, me and Wakan go to where Ryota said the gift would be.

“I hope there’s still time,’ whispered Bigfoot.

After a short walk, it was now night and we found the gift.

“There it is,” said Wakan. “It looks like a teepee. Like the one we used during our date.”

“It does,” I said. “Let’s go inside and see.”

“It’s nice and cozy in here,” said Wakan.

We find a card on the table.

I hope you two will enjoy this private spot for only you and Lupin. But please don’t wreck it, it’s a rental and Hakuman would whip me good for it.

“Be sure to thank he later for this.”

“I will,” I said.

We spent a little time together drinking the hot tea, eating the muffins, and just talking about what I have been doing since Wakan left.

“I see,” said Wakan, a little down. “And you and your friends had to go all through all that without me.”

“The you the App created is a big help,” I said. “But it’s just not the same. I really wish you could have been there for real.”

“I’m here now, for how much time we have.”

“Yeah...”

I started to feel dishearted. Wakan could tell.

“Is something wrong, My Lupin?” he asked.

“It’s just...” I began. “I’m just sad. There isn’t much time left in the day and Bigfoot’s spell will wear off at midnight, just like the fairy godmother’s spell in the story. But no prince will be coming to save the day.”

“I know. It makes me sad, too. And a little bit scared. This was the best birthday I’ve ever had and I will lose the feeling I got from it in the end.”

“I’m sorry. If only it could last a little longer.”

Wakan, sesning how sad I am, places his big strong arms around me, bringing me closer to his big strong chest. He felt warm and nice.

“I know I shouldn’t be saying this,” he said. “But seeing as it would be in vain anyway... but that’s what I wished for on my birthday cake. For this day to never end.”

We got closer as we looked out of the teepee and into the night.

At that moment, we felt like the only two people in existence. We kissed passionately.

We left our secret hideaway together back to the beach which was now empty. I check my phone the see Ryota’s text with the address to the beach house. I also check the time and my heart dropped... 11:58 p.m. Wakan also noticed it.

“It’s almost time,” he said, sadly.

“Yeah,” I said, also sad. “Do you really think that will happen? Us getting married?”

“It’s what I really wish for. I don’t know when we’ll be together like this... But I know in my heart we will be.”

“... If that’s what your heart knows... It’s what I believe... And it will happen.”

We both smiled. I check my phone again... 11:59... 3... 2... 1...

Me and Wakan look up at the she fireworks that were now going up as we held each other in our arms... We share one more kiss. Then, a clocktower on the boardwalk nearby begins to chime.

Me and Wakan step away from each other as Bigfoot’s magic circle appears around Wakan’s feet.

“I love you, My Lupin,” Wakan said with tears in his eyes.

“And I love you, My Wakan,” I said back with tears also in my eyes.

From the circle, the familiar green streams of light emerge and wrap themselves around Wakan until he was once again in his glowing green cocoon.

Then, the green cocoon turns brown as Wakan began his transformation once again.

And the cocoon burst open...

And he emerges.

I just stood there in silence as Wakan Tanka Infinity looks at his surroundings and the last of the fireworks fade. He turns to face me.

“... It wore off.”

“I... I know,” I said, tearfully trembling. “Do you... still remember?”

He nods.

“And the feelings?”

He just stares at me blankly... I had my answer... I break down in tears... But Wakan Tanka Infinity does something unexpected... He helps me back up and holds me by the arms.

“... It was the best birthday every,” he said to me, a small smile on his face. I smiled, too, less tears coming down now. “We should not keep the others waiting.”

“Yes,” I said.

We then make our way to the boardwalk.

At the beach house, everyone was still excited from the fireworks display.

“That was awesome!” cheered Ryota.

“We’re glad you like it,” said Licht. “We arranged for them to go off at midnight.”

Hearing this, a grim realization came down on them.

“But that would mean...” said Shiro.

Bigfoot nodded.

“Okay, listen up,” said Kengo. “Just remember, Lupin still has love in his heart. So before you start yellin’, hissin’, threatin’, or other shit simply ‘cuase of the way Wakan Tanka is now, think about it.”

Licht, Gyumao, Kunisyoshi, and even Goemon and Kirito got the message clearly.

“They’re here,” said Ryota, checking his phone.

The, me and Wakan Tanka Infinity come inside. Licht tries to hold back his frustration, Gyumao tries to resist punching Wakan Tanka Infinity, and Kuniyoshi tries his best to simply not runaway screaming.

“Welcome back, honeys!” greeted Arachne. “Did you enjoy your private time together?”

“Way to jump the gun there, missy,” said Hogen, facepalming.

“Lupin, I’m really sorry,” said Bigfoot, a bit down, but trying to reassure me. “If only I were a bit stronger, I could make the spell last longer. Maybe I can cast it again for Christmas.”

“We’ll see,” I said. “But for now, let’s give it a rest. I want to continue remembering this day and spend this moment with all my friends... Even you, Wakan Tanka Infinity.”

Wakan Tanka Infinity was surprised to hear this... But not unhappy. I look to Kirito who was just leaning against the counter trying to act cool.

“Yes, even you, Kirito. I don’t care how you feel about me, but you’re apart of this, too.”

Kirito just leaned in silence... but secretly in deep thought of what of I said.

“If you really that, Lupin,” said Gyumao. “Then... you’re right. Wakan Tanka Infinity of the Invaders, on behalf of the Tycoons, we welcome you.”

“Thank you for your hospitality, Gyumao of the Tycoons,” said Wakan Tanka Infinity.

“That goes double for the Creators,” said Arachne. “You know, the food we ordered hasn’t arrived yet. So why not take this opportunity to enjoy one more swim in the pool out back. Anything in the cabana bar is on us.”

“But stay away from the Big Bull Martinis,” warned Gyumao. “Those are mine. I don’t think even an immortal bull spirit like you, WTI, can handle that level of alcohol.”

“I did not think I wold want any to begin with,” said Wakan Tanka Infinity.

“Hey, hey, hey, hey! There will be no underage drinking on my watch,” warned Boogeyman.

And so, my Guild, their significant others, and our friends got into the giant pool behind the house overlooking the beach. The only ones yet to go in are myself, Wakan Tanka Infinity, and Kirito.

“Are you sure you won’t come in, Kirito?” asked Bigfoot. “This maybe the last bit of swimming we can do before we go home.”

Kirito just stood slient for a bit and moves back.

“That’s a shame. I guess-”

But then, Kirito starts to run to the pool and jumps...

“BANZAI!!!”

Wish a splash, Kirito was now in the pool.

“See? That wasn’t so hard, was it?” laughed Bigfoot.

“I just didn’t want to be left out,” lied Kirito. He really wanted to have fun with us.

“Should we go in?” I asked Wakan Tanka Infinity.

“If you so desire,” he said. “I will join you for one more swim.”

We both ended up smiling. I run to the pool and jump in. Then, Wakan Tanka Infinity does a major dive, his clothes tearing off.

“Here I come!”

*SPLASH*

The impact makes a huge wave that we are all nearly thrown out of the pool. Thankfully, no one was hurt... But we couldn’t help laughing at how much fun we were having.

Then, Wakan Tanka Infinity goes up to me with a small smile and whispers something in my ear...

“Thank you... I love you, My Lupin.”

I was surprised... then smiled with joy. We are both happy.

And so, we spend the rest of the night having fun together with all our friends.

“WAAA! You mean I only appear at the beginning!? I feel cheated. Hey, whoever’s writing the story! I know this is about Wakan Tanka since it’s his birthday, but please remember to include me more next time. Please!?”
