To Orbit 『A certain thing glows as it burns itself. It is because it is leaking memories past in each moment. It is because sorrow passes by it in each moment. How is a person made complete. How does time manipulate fear. Where is the joy in singing the same song as everyone else. No one, not a single one, tells you where you must go. You must rediscover the voice unique to you. You must approach the varied forms and textures of things that are. Reconstitute in your memory, a light that diffuses and radiates. It is okay, even if you sink into an even deeper bottom, in an even deeper darkness. In the way of dying, hand over a flower that blooms.』 . . We choose to bless all things that disappear. For time is not something that disappears, but something that accumulates.This is an excerpt from “When We Walked Through the Mist, the Night Guided Us”, part of the poet Lee Jenny’s 『Things Flowingly Written As Such』. I debated for a long time how to begin this post.. Then I lightly picked up a book, and I felt a sensation of being absorbed before I knew it, and so this is how I begin. For some reason, when I read those passages, I was so comforted that I made the ridiculous mistake of thinking, “What if all of the time I’ve passed by and experienced was just so that I could read this poem?” Well, I am not yet sure what words the poet is delivering to me, with what intent and emotion. Nor am I yet sure what in the world I am trying to tell all of you, going ahead and writing down this poem of the poet. But one thing I can tell you for sure is, those passages gave me a great deal of consolation And rather than the obvious and common flashy greetings, what I wanted was to return consolation to all of you, writing down my truthful feelings word by word. The consolation I give you on my 5th anniversary may sound a little funny. Even so, I sincerely congratulate us on our 5th anniversary of being together. When I put a dot on the word ‘congratulation’ and look closely What I see is not a brief serenade for a happy ending, for just that one moment; but rather I see a heart that comforts you, in all of those times when you were working so hard to reach something. I have become able to see through the essence of a word in this way, despite my bad eyesight, because I have learned how to see with my heart. A heart with fine and well-polished texture has a polarity that is opposite of my own coarse heart; and so when it faces me, like magnets we embrace each other and offer up the warmth of our sides. But an edged heart that is rough and sharp succeeds in scratching my own heart and pushes me away. In this way, some hearts and other hearts, with the same pronunciation Create such different sounds. The hearts that wanted to comfort me, and conversely the clumsy hearts that never were comforted and grew crooked. All the moments I have passed by, ones that have made me laugh and made me cry in silence, reach their long arms out to me and offer me consolation at the tip of their tenuous fingers. And when they do, I want to yell and hand over a flower, so that when I am in the darkness someday, I may be able to hear. That everything is okay. Some people might say it has ‘only’ been five years. But the five whole years I have been through somehow feel like a dizzyingly long time. And of course, in those times I was never alone. Despite that, why do I only understand after five ‘whole’ years have passed. When I had to walk the abject darkness, when I could not see an inch in front of me, I had nothing, and so I had to burn myself to make light. For that was the only way my cowardly self could walk forward. That light made me move forward, but also step back at the same time. As the light grew dimmer and dimmer the more I walked, I blamed myself, but by then I was all burnt up and nothing was left. If only I had not looked ahead, but looked to my side, looked behind me… Then I could have faced my Orbits in truth a little earlier. Even when I did not notice you and walked past you, Orbits must have protected me for a long time from behind me, from my side, yes? Now I too want to tell you. That I will always be here, so you should not worry. That when Orbits sometimes look back, and look to your side, I will be standing there so you can see me easily, always. I think once again. It has already been 5 years of us being together. As the years go by, it seems that my affection, the words I want to say, and the words I still cannot bring up, all grow in proportion. Needless to say, light exists because darkness does And darkness only feels dark because there is light. I could not feel darkness before I met Orbit, and then I met Orbit; now, even if I close my eyes at your dazzling bright light, I clearly see your afterimage. Even when I sometimes fall into a deep, dark dream again, I am not afraid. No, you set me at ease, telling me I do not have to be afraid. Even when I cannot see an inch ahead, following the light that I sense with my heart, I close my eyes and take a step towards the dawn. Before I know it, the wind that comes through the window in my room has become cold. Today, I opened up the snowy white heart that was piled up in a heap, and it was the memory we had sent to us from last year. I took a deep breath to read it, tightly packed into a breath my wishes that we should open it together again next year, and then folded and sent it out of the window. As we wait for the coming spring, summer, fall, and this time of year around winter, I hope we’ll open up today, together, once again. Picking back up the words that still try to force their way out, I would like to substitute the passages that conclude the poem I wrote for you before, in place of my feelings. Again in this coming winter, trust me, let us trust each other, and let us move forward. No matter what. . . . 『There is a memory that seeps beyond the boundary of darkness. It is light, but it does not tear easily, and it recovers robustly. In a borderless voice, it asks a clear question. Where are you. Are you here now. I haven’t even listened to the whole Fl!p That album, I was so bored after the title song that I just didn’t care about the rest. Dare I say, Loona is ummmmm not impressing me anymore and I have no hope in their music getting any better 🤷‍♀️

#Like y’all abandoned the subunits… abandoned the loonaverse… abandoned the girl empowerment concept…#And the music is just less inspired every time #I think 12:00 was their last engaging album. & was good in that none of the tracks were insta-skips but they were also… boring #Hash was alright… Butterfly I liked a lot #But yeah & and Fl!p That are giving nothing #Loona in general giving nothing lately like I gotta say that whole Queendom thing was snoozeville too #SAD!

Him saying that could also be what he had told the old demon working at the pound/foster/shelter or whatever you wanna call it, in the flash back. which makes me wonder how loona reacted to that. cause it’s not everyday you hear someone talk about you in such a manner without it having any malice behind it. “No. No no no no, YOU CAN’T HAVE HER. SHE’S MINE AND I LOVE HER!” awwww indeed

My "overall" top 10 faves? ...Hmmmmm-

Honestly a lil tricky 'cause alot of my main HB ships rn aren't exactly "canon" (save for like, one or two lol), and I do like to multi-ship alot as well depending on my mood. Sooo if I had to name just the top ships currently in my head rn (even if its not a full 10 list), here ya go!

Fizz x Ozzie Beautifully lustful bfs not afraid to be doofuses together whilst always lifting the other up when they're down... honestly, what more can one ask for in a Hell-ranked power couple?~ 💞🔥 If they ever made a spin-off for Fizzarolli, I’d SO be down for that if it means more Fizzmodeus duets~ 😍

Blitz x Fizz -Biiiit of a controversial one I know, since ofc Fizzarolli is in a relationship rn/Blitz having his own issues wouldn't spell too much success for a romance atm... but like, ughhh I can't help it they're SO good, man T-T 💕 Like, two torn-apart childhood friends who grow up into a petty rivalry, sassing eachother out whilst learning to work together in danger, hashing out their feelings enough to forgive (whilst taking it slow friendship-wise) BUT also having Blitz stand his ground to protect Fizz at the Mammon event?

...Honestly, if it weren't for Fizzmodeus (+Stol*itz) existing, these two would THE perfect endgame, fr~ 👏👏

Loona x Bee "Peppy x Moody" aesthetics are always a huge soft spot for me in ships, so I couldn't help getting drawn to these gals maybe being more than just "pals" lol ;p

Esp with the potential of Bee not being afraid to call out Loona on her crap (unlike most others who deal with her lol), Loona lowkey finding Bee attractive & super cool (despite still being a lil jealous over her Tex crush), and knowing how intuitive Bee is as a whole... I feel like she'd be the best influence to soften up Loona to get her to express herself & have fun~💖

Bee x Tex Prob my fave (canon) hetero pair atm, I think these two are pretty lovely on their own accord too~ :3 Surprisingly subtle with their affections compared to other couples... but you can still tell how much they fit well given their laidback natures, abilities to "read" people (like Blitz when he got too drunk), and just overall care for eachother in that bit after Bee shrank down to size. Really curious of how they got together ngl (esp given how Hellhounds are pretty low in the hierarchy system as-is), I think it'd be pretty fun to read about~ 🥰

Blitz x Striker Ahhh yes, def a classic in terms of the alternate Blitz ships out there (though I guess not as popular these days, given Striker's current writing .w.; ). From how much they oozed chemistry from their first meeting, Blitz's respect for Striker's skill almost giving them good coworker potential, their similar insecurities/frustrations with Hell's hierarchy system (even with Striker going a more "corrupt" route with it in later appearances... the fact that even he declares that Blitz deserved "better" than how Stolas' treats of him speaks volumes ngl-). Like, there's SO much potential imho; whether its a slowburn-redemption pair, an "flirting-on-opposing sides" pair, a "come to the dark side- we have cookies~" pair... the possibilities are endless~ 👀❤️

Blitz x Mrs. Mayberry

-Ok, now this one's proooobably the least popular overall of the Blitz ships out there... but idk, just thought it'd be a cute idea the more I thought about it lol .3.

Blitz may be a goofy lil jerk, but he's clearly a devoted family man at heart whenever you see him with his loved ones (Loona, Fizz, occasionally M&M, etc.). And with Mayberry having that strong desire for a family (despite how she was cheated/unfairly-bashed on after her death), I feel like she'd lowkey be a sweet influence to balance Blitz's chaotic nature (whilst he'd be able to make her laugh/bring "excitement" to her current life in Hell). Idk, just something light & cute like that, yknow? :3 💜

You know what character interactions I want to see/want to see more of in Helluva Boss? (This really got away from me and I notice now a lot of these involve Stolas, but can you blame me? The poor guy needs a better support network!) Definitely Stolas and Ozzie. I just love that even when stressed about work and not exactlu enthusiastic about having the meeting where Stolas asks for the crystals, Oz greets Stolas warmly, asks how he's been, calls him with fond nicknames. While Stolas in turn feels comfortable enough to admit he's developed feelings for Blitz, despite Ozzie humiliating them before. Can you imagine the mixture of heartwarming and hilarity that could be Ozzie being a wingman for Stolas? Blitz and Fizz. I mean, come on! I know there's still adjusting to be made, but it's the first genuinely mended bridge Blitz has built and I love them not only going back to a new version of their old dynamic, but just how comfortable they seem to be about it. Specifically the fact that they are so quick to do some friendly ribbing ("I'll make sure no one gives you shit tonight." "You mean beside you?") AND that they are comfortable enough for casual touches (both serious like Blitz holding Fizz while he's about to collapse, and less so when Blitz uses Fizz as an armrest as he talks smack at Glitz & Glam). Blitz and Ozzie. I was surprised at how fun their little interactions were. Sure, their connection was their shared interest in taking care of Fizz, but they seemed to find a shared wavelength relatively easy, with Ozzie nudging Blitz to go to Fizz while Ozzie stays back, and with Blitz presumably telling Ozzie Fizz was having a panic attack. And the little detail I loved that after the whole "Who tops?" comment, while Fizz looks annoyed at the ruined moment, Ozzie seems amused, taking it as a friendly joke. Stolas and Fizz. Can you imagine that? CAN YOU IMAGINE? So much both fun and drama that could be had! Hell, I'd love to have a full episode of teams Blitz&Ozzie and Stolas&Fizz trying to navigate a crisis and get back to each other or something. While Ozzie and Fizz are probably two seconds away from just locking the other two into a broom closet to hash out their feelings. Loona and Octavia. I mean, we've already seen how sweet they are. They could bond over so many things, both superficial and deep. They could sneak each other into places, learn stuff, practice spellcasting together... On that note: Blitz and Octavia. Stolas and Loona. I don't even know what I'd want specifically, but damn, a daughter swap could be SO GOOD!

I think Stolas with just the rest of the I.M.P. Because, again, the guy needs more friends and I love that M&M are fond of him enough to both be worried about him when he's hurt and not afraid of him when he's annoyed.

Finally, maybe not exactly in the same category, but... I'd kind of love it if Striker set his sights on Octavia for one reason or another. One, I'd love the drama, two, it would be interesting to see what Via is capable of. What kind of magic she actually knows? Would she be more scared or angry to face the man who put her father into a hospital? What kind of power she could unleash... and would that be enough against "the best assassin in the ring of Wrath"?

What would be pilot blitz reaction to finding out he's pregnant and what would pilot stella and aster would be like

He stared at the test.

The test stared back.

He shook it. It didn't change.

Fuck.

He'd managed to hash shit out with the bird- they could keep the book if they carried out a few hits for him. Frankly, it was better than he'd hoped for, they were using it to do that shit anyway, and he said he'd even pay them for anything over one target. (Pretty fair considering he didn't rip Blitz's tail off for the theft, frankly.)

This, though…

He'd bottomed once. Over the whole night where they went… satan's taint, what had it been, nine rounds? Ten? Fifteen? Some ridiculous amount that left his legs shaking the next morning, that was for sure. But it looked like royal jizz had something special in it, because he hadn't let anybody else in his holes in weeks, and… and…

"Fucking dammit." He slammed the test down on the rim of the sink, hands shaking as he stared at the mirror, spiderwebbed cracks fracturing him into a dozen pieces.

This was bad. This was bad. He had a 19-year-old out in the living room who had still refused to call him dad, a business they'd only just been able to get a gimmick on mere weeks ago, and a very perilous partnership with a stuck-up rich fuck who just wanted to pawn off some of his job on them in exchange for the book. This was a big fucking wrench to throw into the works, and his heart beat triple-time as he imagined it all crumbling before his eyes as his stomach swelled.

But….

But what if this meant Stolas had to let them keep the book? He'd want to keep his kid with food on the table, right? That was assuming he wouldn't tell Blitz to just slice it out or steal it for himself, but he'd had pictures of his kid up around the room and had even gushed about her over a shared cig at the end, so the guy had at least a fraction of a heart for cute kids, even if the rest of it was awash in a sea of sperm.

Blitz had kind of wanted a little kid and to start a family before anyway, Loona had just… caught his eye after that had fallen through.

He could… he could ask. If the bird said to get rid of it, they could just wash their hands of the whole thing. If he didn't… this could work.

(If he survived, a nagging voice that dripped ice down his neck said. You don't know what royal pregnancies entail. He waved it away.)

There were a half-dozen angry pounds on the door. "Hey, asshole! I need to shower! The fuck are you doing in there?"

He gripped the edges of the sink hard enough to make the tips of his fingers fade to nearly white before spinning around, sucking in a breath and letting it out.

"So, Loonie! How do you feel about a little sibling?"

Stellaluna: She's a bit of a manipulative spoiled brat, and quickly grows very good at playing the 'but my other daddy lets me!' game to get what she wants. Both of her fathers adore her even if things can be a bit tense with each other at times, but it takes Loona and Octavia a bit more time to come around to her, although she adores both of them. (Loona comes around first.) She absolutely adores Blitz's job and wants to help out however she can.

Aster: I think he'd only come along after Blitz and Stolas have become a couple for real, so he'd probably be pretty similar to canon! A touch more ruthless perhaps, but he certainly has that edge to him in 'canon' as well, it just doesn't come out that often.
