Orv: Spoiler warning

One of the things I noticed after finishing ORV was the way Kdj treats all of the characters. To be more specific, how that treatment compares and contrasts with how he views himself. There’s SO. MUCH. IRONY THERE!

He tells Lee Jihye that she needs to keep living, no matter what. That no matter what she’s done, she HAS to survive. That she deserves to live. That she will always deserve to live. And then he becomes the oldest dream- dooming himself to an endless end akin to death itself- because he thinks he deserves it.

He tells Shin Yoosung that in a pinch, he’d choose her life over all of Seoul. That there’s always a way to survive. That a sacrifice like that is never the right play. That all the shitty stuff she’s done? She’s done it to survive. And then he sacrifices himself, again and again and again, like he thinks it’s inevitable. He calls himself a monster for trying to survive a shitty childhood.

He tells Jang Hayeon that the only way to overcome a wall is to fight it. That everyone has a wall, that you will never truly understand someone, that you have to try anyway. And then he throws himself into the abyss and never explains why.

He tells his mother that her sacrifice was not kind. That martyring yourself to help someone will only ever hurt them. That a ‘kind’ lie will never be better than the cruel truth.And then he dies, again and again and again and again, to help his friend. And he lies about doing it.

Kim Dokja teaches those around him the exact lessons he needs to learn. He gives them the exact kindness he’s never received. He uses the story as an opportunity to explore that first question he asks us- what if my life was a different genre? The world changes. He finally gets the chance to be something other than a reader- and he doesn’t take it. Instead, he guides everyone else to the ending he wishes he could reach. Because, in his mind, that’s the happiest a reader can ever be.

And that reader- character divide is the reason that Kimcom’s plan in the epilogue actually works. When he views himself as a character, Kim Dokja is finally able to apply his love for the characters to himself. He can finally learn the lessons he’s been teaching the whole time- because although he’s still the reader, ‘Kim Dokja’ can finally be a character.

WINTER CHAMPIONSHIP - Resultados finais.

Após uma semana árdua de competições, agradecemos aos alunos que representaram a Tanneung Halla University a um nível nacional em um campeonato de inverno entre Universidades.

Devido ao empenho dos alunos, a Universidade receberá mais patrocínio aos esportes e em breve: novos clubes esportivos surgirão por aqui. Muitas expectativas, força de vontade, ânimo, felicidade, tristeza, derrota... Tudo isso faz parte de uma competição e, para aqueles que não tiveram sua estrela brilhando, o importante é participar e mostrar sua força!

Antes que os resultados sejam dispostos, um aviso aos alunos e docentes que estão em Seul pela competição, seja assistindo ou tendo participado: o vôo de volta à Jeju parte amanhã, sábado (14/01), 08h00 e com previsão de chegada de uma hora e dez minutos. Ou seja, em torno de 09h10 estaremos em solos Jejuenses de novo.

Já adiantamos também que o time de Vôlei Masculino estará organizando um luau simples, aconchegante, com fogueira e muitos comes e bebes nesse sábado, no Centro de Conservação do Campus da THU, se iniciando às 20h00. Aguardem para maiores informações amanhã.

Tek - so can we all just agree this is Orange Caramel? The second song on the single album not so much, but “Hmph!” very much so.

Kas - 1. OrangeCaramelOrangeCaramelOrangeCaramel. 2. Pretty fun. Just like WJSN to me, they’re fine. I’m not going to make a point to listen to them but I won’t complain if they’re on (though I’d prefer Orange Caramel). “Hmph” is a fun song for sure but I’m not tracking it down.

Tek - very obvious Latin influence. I like the song and her voice. The sound is very fun and upbeat. Her voice compliments it nicely.

Tek - there’s some strong songs on this album, but I find myself wanting to like them more than I actually do. The title track and “Let Me Dance” are probably two of the top songs on this album.

Kas - I think it’s interesting that they debuted with a full album, about half of which being remixes of old RaNia songs. Since they’re half rebranding half deuting I think coming out with a full album of originals and remixes is a good idea. They are still part RaNia. Might as well show how they’re different. I want to like it all more than I do. All of their voices are fine to me. And why do I like the RaNia songs better than Blackswan’s?“Breathe Heavy” really tried to save this album though.

Kas - Guys it’s another Jersey baby. Jessi’s got a prodigy. What a pretty song. Her voice sounds like it could hold so much attitude but she chose to go softer and i think she does it really well.

Tek - ‘Reason of My Life’ is a beautiful song with nice lyrics. The b-side is a good listen as well.

Kas - “Reason Of My Life” sounds a lot like a boygroup song rather than a soloist’s song. Still good, though. “Be Your Side” is really nice. I like the chorus and verses so no complaints.

Tek - oh heck yes! The song was just so engaging (and paired with the MV even more so).

Kas - WHy I haven’t given all the DPRs more attention yet is beyond me. I fell in love with Live when he was on Maria. *Tek just made me watch the MV and I think I’m dead. Oh my god it was phenomenal. Just an ethereal experience.

She was scouted in an EXO show in Macau in 2015 (when she was 13). Her actual Manager, HaYeon at the time was a scouter and asked if she wanted to audition in SM ent. She auctioned and started training in 2016.

As the years passed, she thought that she would debut together with Ningning as they were the only SM trainees that continued at the company.

She debuted in Rocket girls together with XuanYi and Meiqi from Cosmic Girls. When both Cosmic Girls' members were withdrawn from the Group, Maeve was too, due to the inability to arrange a contract. But after a while, it was announced that they came to an agreement, and Maeve was going to promote together with them. She was promoted with the group from June 2018 - June 2020. Rocket Girl’s last EP was in May 2020.

When promoted in China she was a Zhang Yixing Studios trainee. Then when she debuted at WayV she became a Label V artist.

SM couldn't debut in WayV in 2019 due to the fact she had competed in Produce 101 China.

As a WayV member, she only took part in Resonance and Kick Back comebacks.

Fans are speculating that Yuta, Maeve, and Shotaro will form the Japanese subunit. Fans also speculate Maeve will enter a hiatus in WayV (just like WinWin and 127) when the Japanese subunit comes around.

Wow it's been some weeks since I last posted. Sorry I just haven't had as much time as before to read new manhwas. Right now I'm basically reading the new updates from Webtoon and not much more. So today I bring you a Webtoon recommendation. I hope you like it 😊

The manhwa is called Half-Ghost

The main character is Hayeon, a college girl that has always felt chills everytime she gets close to what she thinks (and actually are) ghosts. But she has never seen one with her own eyes. One day she meets Hu-an Lee, a half-ghost boy who acts weird and is always fighting ghosts. From that day onwards their paths will keep getting intertwined and little by little they'll develop a great relationship.

When I first started reading it I thought it looked interesting but you know it didn't attract me that much. But I actually haven't skipped any update which is something that deserves a praise. I get bored easily so sometimes I start skipping updates and well I end up dropping it. So yes this manhwa is passing my standards 😄. Now let's state the facts: the FL is very relatable, I like how even if she is scared she is brave, also how empathetic and nice she is with both people and ghosts. The ML is well, weird (but not in a bad way) I think it's just that he is not used to being with people. The plot is interesting and the events of the comic are very well portrayed (when the FL is scared you can feel it too lol). summary ⟶ Eunjae decided to go to the gym to calm herself down from an unnoticed news with the H1GHER Gang, not knowing an unexpected arrival from her own blood.

The boys look at the quiet girl, walking ahead of them. They were too scared to even talk to her.

“Yah..! Go talk to her!” Hwimin pushed Minsik forward, as the taller one glared towards the chatterbox.

“Can’t you see she’s raging?!? I don’t want to get killed!”

“Nor do we!” Junwon added.

“And that’s your girlfriend, hyung!” Haon added and Minsik looked towards Eunjae’s back.

He could tell that she was pissed, seeing the way how grip onto her bag.

Out of no where, Eunjae’s footsteps stopped, making the other boys to stop their tracks too.

She looked behind, looking at them then letting out a small smile.

“I can hear you guys, you know.” Eunjae smiled amusingly, and the boys looked at each other, feeling embarrassed.

“Is everything okay, noona? I mean we all know what happened but ever since the released articles from your agency, you don’t look too happy.” Haon decided to speak up since the others were too scared.

Eunjae sighed as she nodded. “Well, everything is fine, but I don’t think I’m fine..” muttered Eunjae as she tighten the grip of her gym bag.

A few hours ago, Eunjae received multiple messages both coming from Hayeon and their manager personally.

Sadly, Eunjae first saw a few articles and she sees her information, both her and Hayeon’s being published publicly.

That is when Eunjae started to check on her manager’s and Hayeon’s messages.

There were messages from her manager stating with “I’m sorry Eunjae.” “I swear I didn’t know about this.” “I’ll ask the representative more on their actions.” “If they revealed it without you or Hayeon’s consent, it is possible to sue them.”

On the other hand, Eunjae couldn’t even replied Hayeon in a serious way thanks to her cursing.

Half of the messages were her cursing and letting out her anger. “What the heck are they thinking!?!” “Are they crazy?!?” “Eunjae, let’s sue them!” “Not only us, they revealed the other units too!”

After replying to their messages, Eunjae can’t help but to feel mad. She could remember the agreements that she personally had with the agency.

There were lots of them but one sticks to her mind and that is “MMG Agency will not release information about their units.”

The agency back then was a security agency, but Eunjae truthfully doesn’t know what is the agency visions anymore now.

It was if they were treating the units like artists or idols, knowing that they were far way different than being an artists or idols.

They are law enforcement people.

Eunjae roughly let go of the weight bench, not realizing that it caught the other boys’ attention. She was deep in her own angry thoughts that she didn’t realize their worried stares.

“Yah! Ahn Eunjae!”

Eunjae’s head suddenly snapped towards the annoyed voice, to see Minsik looking down at her with a frown.

It was obvious that he had just finished his session with the treadmill, seeing how sweaty he looked. His front bangs were nearly covering his eyes.

“Y-yeah?” Eunjae repeated tiringly, looking up at him. Minsik stared at her, before sighing while taking a seat beside her.

“What’s going on your big mind?” Minsik playfully poked Eunjae’s mind - causing Eunjae to pout slightly, swatting his hand away.

“Nothing,” muttered Eunjae and Minsik whines, tilting his head slightly.

“Babe, I’ve known you for like almost a year and you’re my girlfriend now. I’m not going to fall for that!” Minsik argued, playfully glaring at Eunjae’s side profile as she was looking down.

“Well, you know me very well then,” answered Eunjae softly before turning towards Minsik.

“Everything wasn’t planned. MMG decided released it without our consent. Now the reason why I’m pissed is, they broke my agreement with them.” explained Eunjae and Minsik slowly nodded.

“What is the agreement?”

“It is them not releasing our information, not just me and Hayeon’s. The other units too. I’m sure they didn’t want their information to be shown in public. We’re not a group of idols or artists. We are people working under the law enforcement and I don’t know if the agency knows this but it’s dangerous to release informa— I ramble too much, didn’t I?” Eunjae stops herself as she glance towards Minsik who was quietly watching her.

“I know what you mean. I don’t know what to say but if I were you, I think I’ll lay low for now and settle this issue with the agency. Clearly, they are in a wrong. You should discuss with Hayeon too. You could ask Jay hyung for help. You know we would happily help you with open arms.” offered Minsik with a small smile while his hand wrapping around her shoulders, slightly pushing her towards him.

Eunjae immediately pushed him away.

“Minsik, you stink.” Eunjae commented and Minsik gasp slightly.

“Yah—

“Yeah, you stink, Minsik.” Junwon joined the conversation, followed by Hwimin and Gyujeong, and Haon.

“Noona, we’re going to a nearby tteokbokki stall. Do you wanna come with us?” offered Haon with a smile.

“Yeah, you should join us, Eunjae. Minsik doesn’t have to come with us, he’s busy with his new album.” added Hwimin with a playfully smirk.

“What are you talking about!? I didn’t even started writing any of the lyrics!” argued Minsik, taken a back from the others.

“But we have started making on the beats.” answered Gyujeong innocent.

Soon, they started to have a playful argument and it was a perfect moment for Eunjae to change her gym clothes, knowing everyone would eventually tag along, just like the other days where the other boys would tease Minsik whenever they ask Eunjae to go out to eat or drink.

Just as Eunjae was about to turn to a corner, her footsteps started to slowdown as she squints at the sight, or the back of a guy.

The back figure was too familiar to Eunjae, that she didn’t have to double confirm their face.

“Eunkwon?”

WINTER CHAMPIONSHIP - Início dos jogos.

Como vocẽs já sabem, o Campeonato de Inverno se inicia nessa segunda e vai até sexta (de 09/01 até 13/01). O Comitê espera que tenham aproveitado a abertura e o domingo de relaxamento!

O Clube de Culinária se disponibilizou para preparar algumas delícias e refeições aos presentes durante essa semana, assim como o Clube de Música se disponibilizou a ajudar nas torcidas com instrumentos de percussão, tambores, e o que mais vocês precisarem pra fazer barulho!

Notas OOC:

Como dissemos anteriormente, o Campeonato poderia ser simplificado ou poderia seguir a linha de mais de um jogo como uma copa. Entretanto, marcamos somente um jogo e bem simplificados, senão ficaria muita informação pra uma semana só, e se as competições seguissem por mais semanas, o plot ficaria repetitivo.

Também analisamos e consideramos o empenho dos Clubes e sua organização durante essa semana de preparativos. Teve uma movimentação considerável, mas teve time perdendo integrante no meio do plot drop, teve time ganhando membros (o que foi ótimo e agradecemos o empenho!), mas em geral, considerando a não sobrecarga de ninguém, faremos somente um jogo em uma semana.

E como serão as classificações? O jogo é por conta de vocês, caros players.

Vocês podem decidir entre si se foram classificados ou não, podem fazer sorteio, ou ainda, podem utilizar a ferramenta de dados do discord para decidir as partidas ou o “x1” no caso de competições de performance individual.

No caso do uso de dados, recomendamos que o professor responsável, ou líder ou vice-líder seja responsável por jogar como o NPC. Em último caso, alguém do clube que possa estar disponível. Em último dos últimos casos, vocês podem agendar um horário com a moderação para que façamos o papel de NPC em caso de dinâmica do discord.

Lembrando que POVs e selfparas sempre são bem vindos, sendo vitória ou derrota. Como dissemos, narrações sempre são bem vindas, mas também ficam por conta de vocês nos entregar o conteúdo, como a exemplo dos players da Soccer League.

Como cada clube possui suas particularidades, deixamos livres para que vocês façam as suas formas de jogo e conversem entre si sobre qual seria a melhor forma de obter um resultado. Vale primeiro, segundo e terceiro lugar, respectivamente, medalhas de ouro, prata e bronze. E claro, vale desclassificação completa - o que também gera desenvolvimento, afinal, como haverão futuros campeonatos… Se o seu clube for desclassificado dessa vez, o que e como ele fará para participar de futuros campeonatos? Formas lícitas ou ilícitas? Fica a ideia no ar.

Spoiler: o Campeonato não acaba por aqui, é uma porta de entrada para outros que virão pela frente.
