As we deal with the approaching #hurricanedorian, let’s reflect on the #LaborDay hurricane in 1935. This was the surprise storm that wiped out #HenryFlagler ‘s #OverseasRailroad. An unknown number of people perished in that storm. #Onthisday a first happened when #hurricanehunters flew purposely to find the center of a storm. In the #FloridaKeys, Capt Ivan Olsen marked the lowest barometric pressure ever recorded in #Florida.
