In this episode: Verne gains a cute little buddy, creepy Mr. Wisdom returns, and a jarring final moment with Real Doc

Well, friends, we've reached the end of our journey into the world of the animated series. It was almost exactly one year ago today that I posted my review of the first episode, and it's been a super fun project to work on. I'm kind of sad to be done with it.

Let's see what this last episode has in store for us, shall we?

We start in the lab, where Doc is making adjustments to his latest invention, the "ELB Pediatric Policer."

It's basically a lie detector designed to be worn by children, lol. When a child does something they know is wrong, or if they lie about something, it flashes with lights and blares a siren. He plans to present it at the Annual Convention of the Home Inventors of Mad Geniuses.

Gonna be real with you, Doc—not sure how I feel about this invention. Sounds like a good way to raise very anxious, paranoid children.

Anyway, this reminds Doc of something that happened to Verne when he was doing show and tell one day.

The cartoon begins with someone attempting the steal the DeLorean. They're shrouded in shadows, but it's pretty clear that it's Verne. He's got a pretty high track record for DeLorean thievery. Doc's security system catches him, though, locking him into the car, setting off an alarm, and taking a picture, which is sent directly to Doc's room.

Quick little sidenote, but I don't think I've mentioned that Doc regularly calls Clara "Clarabelle" over the course of the series. When he's woken up by the alarm system, it's the name he uses to call to her, and I was like, "huh. why have I never written about this in my posts?" I looked it up, and Clarabelle (the spelling according to the subtitles on the DVD) is a variant of the more official spelling, which is Claribel. It means "bright and beautiful" but seems to be a pretty obscure name, as it's only listed at .009% usage at the height of its popularity in 1893.

So, I'm left wondering: Is the animated series implying that it's perhaps her "real" name, with Clara being her nickname? Or is this just an affectionate nickname Doc uses for Clara? And if it's a nickname, is it something Doc simply thought had a nice ring to it, or is it because he's secretly a big fan of the Disney character Clarabelle Cow??

Verne tells Doc that he was only taking the DeLorean so he could go looking for something cool to bring to show and tell. Doc decides to help him out by letting him borrow an arrowhead he has. Verne is psyched, but before he can even reach the school building, Biff Jr. intercepts him and demands his lunch money. He steals the arrowhead from Verne.

Verne's teacher isn't happy that he had nothing to show or tell about, and she tells him that if he doesn't bring in something the next day, she's going to make him play Prince Charming in the upcoming school play. Which is a really weird threat if you ask me!! How does one force a child into a lead role of a play he doesn't want to be in just because he didn't have show and tell? What kind of school is this?

Verne is horrified by this news on account of he'd have to kiss some girl named Beatrice. He says he'd rather be, "dead like a dinosaur" which gives him a sudden idea. I sense a bad decision coming! And I bet Marty is going to be in on it because he always enables Varne in these types of shenanigans.

Yep. I knew it.

The boys take a quick trip to prehistoric times, where Verne swipes a dino egg for show and tell.

Shortly after arriving home, the egg hatches, and Verne finds himself caretaker to the world's cutest dinosaur.

Look at that guy. (Verne faints when he sees it)

Within the hour, the dinosaur has already grown significantly, and it escapes outside to the yard, where Verne begs Jules to help in hiding him. Just then, they hear Doc approaching and quickly work to form a ridiculous story in which the dino is their friend who painted himself green because they're playing a game involving aliens.

They're able to get away with it on account of Einstein is so afraid of the dinosaur that he launches himself at Doc's face and refuses to move.

Doc decides to take Einie to the vet, leaving his sons and their "friend" to continue their game. Jules insists Verne return the dino, but Verne wants to keep him as a pet. He names him Tiny.

It doesn't take long for Tiny to go missing in town. He ends up at the Tannen home, where Biff Jr. is watching Mr. Wisdom (who you may remember from an episode earlier in the season). If you don't, you just need to know that Mr. Wisdom is an evil children's TV show host who also happens to be one of Doc's old college roommates.

Mr. Wisdom announces that he's offering $50,000 to any viewer who can capture and send in an alien, bigfoot, or dinosaur. Very unfortunate timing, huh? Biff captures Tiny and sends him into the Mr. Wisdom show. After airing a special episode featuring Tiny, Mr. Wisdom plans to kill him and sell pieces of him to research labs for money.

Thankfully, Verne comes clean to his parents, and they work together to form a plan and sneak onto the set to free Tiny.

When Mr. Wisdom starts his show and reveals the "dinosaur," it's really just Marty and Jules on stilts.

Jules looks just like the monkey in that one meme.

The family gets home and prepares to bring Tiny back where he belongs. Before he goes, he spits out a baby tooth, which Verne is excited to be able to take to show and tell.

With that story wrapped up, we go back to Real Doc, who teaches us a little about eggs using a raw one. While he's talking, he takes out the lunch he'd packed, of which one of the items is a hard-boiled egg. Can you guess what happens? Yeah, he mixes up the two eggs. After some time to think about it, he feels pretty confident that he's figured out which one is the hard-boiled one and. And he just BITES into the egg, shell and all, like an absolute lunatic. And he's wrong about it being the hard-boiled one.

Who does this? Who on EARTH eats a hard-boiled egg in this manner? Are you telling me that Doc regularly leaves the shells on his eggs and bites into them like an apple?? He eats the shells? Is that what I'm supposed to take away from this??

We're ending the animated series with the revelation that this is how our beloved scientist finds it acceptable to eat a hard-boiled egg?? What am I supposed to do with this now? How will I make peace with this information?

Join me next time for nothing. The animated series is over, folks. Doctor Emmett Brown eats eggshells.

= I mentioned before in the first issue that this series was already discussing the topic of secret identities in a more nuanced way than the main series' "Zordon is a tyrant for having rules" strategy so I'm happy that's being continued here. YES public use of the powers can be used for good in society but ALSO it can make it really, really, REALLY easy for your enemies to pick you off the street

Tommy would absolutely be wearing tank tops as an adult. Those long sleeves were the devil's work

= I still say I don't want to get attached to any theory about Tommy and whether or not he'll end up alive but Rita seeming to be aware that he saved her daughter and getting his attention before doing the spell...........that's probably going to be important

= You guys don't understand how much I need the scene where Tommy and Kim discovered she was pregnant and the conversations they had afterwards. Every "ranger kid" story has been so bad about "what does the parent think about their kids one day inheriting their ranger powers" and The Return is the one closest to understanding this is a very logical and rational conversation to have!!!!!!!

Phantom Troupe thoughts

SPOILERS FOR MANGA CHAPTERS 395 and 396!!!!!

...Ahem.  I haven’t checked the main tag or been on tumblr much in the last few weeks so forgive me if this is old news but... catching up on Hunter x Hunter and can’t believe that in the year of our lord 2022, we finally have canon confirmation that the Sheila conspiracy theorists were right all along!!! 

Sheila confirmed member of the OG phantom troupe!!  Also the book she gave little Kurapika and Pairo in the “Kurapika’s Memories” chapter, that inspired them to want to leave the tribe and attempt the Hunter exam, was probably “Dino Hunter” because it looks the same and Sheila only reads one book apparently.  

This whole thing - Sheila being probably a member of the OG phantom troupe and basically pretending to stay sick so she could keep talking to Kurapika and Pairo - naturally leads to the dark interpretation that after K&P spent months caring for her she turned around and lead the Phantom Troupe back to the exact location of Kurapika’s tribe... Something fans have speculated for over a decade now...

On another note, how funny is it that the “Phantom Troupe” started as literally a troupe - as in a troop of actors?  

Or in this case, it’s even more nerdy - they are a troop of fandubbers LOLOLOL. 

...No wonder they were willing to let Hisoka in he probably reminded them of their roots with his theatrical sensibilities LOLOLOLOL so they ignored the creepy vibes...

I am sensing some kind of tragic backstory for Sarasa, btw, even more than the other members of the Phantom Troupe we meet in these panels, because we meet her by name, and she seems like the emotional heart of the troop... Chrollo has the Vision (TM) - more on that later - that gets all of them together, but she’s the emotional glue that helps them all to get along!  Also the only OG member (besides Sheila) who isn’t around anymore at the start of the manga!

From right to left, top to bottom: Sarasa, Uvo, Chrollo, Machi, Nobu/Shalnark, Franklin, Sheila, Pakunoda, Phinks, Feitan.

If Togashi wanted to simplify the backstory (although caveat: since when does Togashi want to simplify anything?), Sarasa could be the thing Kurapika’s tribe “took from” the Troupe (re: the Meteor City motto). 

BUT, and getting back to “nothing is ever that simple in Hunter x Hunter”... these chapters specifically mention that “a female traveler” found and reported the bodies... and that could be Sheila as well

...Something occurs to me here.  The Meteor City motto is well known, Kurapika wasn’t present when the Kurta clan was massacred, couldn’t anyone have left the note to frame them?

...Can you imagine if after ll this time, it wasn’t the Phantom Troupe who massacred the Kurta clan at all????  

The only “evidence” reported in the news is the note, after all... we learn Kurapika’s motives really early (like chapter 2) but after all this time, I can’t remember if Kurapika ever explains how he knows it was them!!!!!!!

Here’s when he explains his motives to Leorio... there’s nothing here about how he came to decide it was the Phantom Troupe who massacred the Kurta....   Uvo doesn’t remember (at first) anything about the massacre and Chrollo neither confirms nor denies it... when Kurapika asks if he was the boss at the time of the massacre he just laughs it off and says there’s nothing to say about it.   Everything he says is vague, like he knows that Melody has the ability to detect lies so he carefully only says true things, but without giving anything away (and unlike Uvo, you get the impression that Chrollo would definitely remember the details of his past heists. 

Melody catches the contradiction here (chapter 117):

And here’s what Chrollo has to say about the massacre (chapter 115):

It’s a bit of a stretch, but the way he says this... I mean Chrollo is slippery in general, he doesn’t answer Gon’s question (about how they can kill people with no relation to them) either, so this could just be Chrollo being Chrollo.   But I wonder if he’s being vague on purpose bc the Spiders, for some reason, agreed to take the fall for this one despite not being involved.

...The thing that seems to contradict this is that Uvo does say he remembers the massacre... not at first, but later, after Kurapika has him chained up: 

It’s in chapter 82.. .chapter 83 is when Uvo remembers and it seems pretty clear-cut BUT Uvo is a hot-head who says the thing he enjoys most is killing avengers, and it’s not clear yet that Kurapika really has the upper hand so he could just be riling him up. 

... What he says seems too specific to be just a taunt, but here’s the panels just in case you guys want to decide yourselves:

IDK IDK.. it seems pretty clear cut but the wording here has always been slippery.

Meanwhile, also on the side of “maybe they didn’t do it” is Nobu, who’s pretty vehement in the most recent chapters that the Phantom Troupe don’t indiscriminately murder for no reason and aren’t trying to burn the world to the ground (anymore), unlike Morena’s minions and also unlike the public perception of them.

There’s even a story in the manga about people from Meteor City being falsely accused of a crime (chapter 102):

The message on the corpse’s foot is the only proof that people from Meteor City carried out the assassinations.... remember pretty early in the manga when Kurapika almost kills that prisoner in Trick Tower with the fake spider tattoo because he goes into a rage?   Falsely accusing people from Meteor City, other criminals impersonating members of the Phantom Troupe, and  (some) people knowing about the Meteor City calling cards are all facts in the Hunter x Hunter world.

Not saying the Phantom Troupe aren’t a bunch of thieves and murderers - of course they are and we seem them committing a mass murder on panel even LOL -  but how funny would it be if we, the readers, have accepted for twenty years that the Spiders massacred the Kurta clan because Kurapika said so, but he (and we) have been wrong this whole time????  

No one even thinks to question this because we know they are more than capable of doing it...

Well anyway, it’s a pretty far-out theory and I’m not sure I even want it to be true, because I think the Spiders can be sympathetic/interesting and have massacred the whole Kurta clan, it’s not like they have to be completely innocent to be compelling characters.   

...Incidentally this chapter (102) is the same one that shows the videotape that apparently formed the basis for the Phantom Troupe getting together... to make fandubs of a sentai show** LOLOLOL thanks for finally explaining the significance of this panel more than 20 years later AND making it the most nerdy thing possible, Togashi. 

**Not just any sentai show, but one where the heroes clean up garbage... I mean you can see why it would appeal to the kids in Meteor City... but as a 90s kid it just reminds me of Captain Planet :P  

Not much other thoughts, except that the baby phantom troupe are adorable.... Uvo and Nobu being older than the rest of them and playground bullies, Chrollo’s best friends being Sheila and Sarasa (girls), and Machi refusing to play the princess are all kind of perfect actually.

I also really enjoy how... well you know, all this time we knew the Phantom Troupe had their own motives for being thieves and murderers and for having that bond with each other, but now we actually get to see why & how the bond was formed in the first place... the Phantom Troupe are the main characters of their own story and Gon and Killua butt into that story (Gon especially) to support Kurapika without understanding anything about their motives actually, in typical myopic-child fashion. 

...I do have other thoughts about the most recent chapter re: toilet-chan, but I’ll put those in another post.

how i differentiated and remembered the 13 members of seventeen when i was a baby carat

just a psa that this is just for fun! i obviously remember their full government names and faces now but it’s funny to see how far i’ve come.

i’m arranging them in order of who i noticed first to last so that the nicknames make more sense. for context, i learned about them mostly through nana tour so a lot of these have nana tour references

vernon — loml (funny story: i refused to acknowledge that his name was vernon because it reminded me too much of vernon dursley and i didn’t want to associate that character with him so i just called him my pookie every time i saw him on screen 🙃 i have now accepted vernon as an endearing term and not as the annoying harry potter guy though)

woozi — loml number 2. also known affectionately as girlypoppies (because of the way he dressed in GoM & world performances)

mingyu — blue suit guy (apparently he wore blue suits a lot to me? even though i literally cannot tell you one (1) instance off the top of my head where he wore a blue suit—unless you want to count the dior fashion week suit but that happened months after i first recognised him lol). cowboy guy (his performance outfit in GoM gave off cowboy vibes). innisfree guy. poor guy who couldn’t make a meringue in peace 😔 at this point, mingyu had too many nicknames that i kept forgetting which one was him. was also constantly confusing him with dk and wonwoo (especially in performances) LOL

s.coups — thai guy (he looked thai to me ok). also the guy who got the acl tear and couldn’t go for nana tour

hoshi — chef (he made a comment about how too many chefs would ruin the food—also happened while there were like 6 guys in the kitchen—and it was so funny that he has been etched in my memory ever since)

dino — sister’s main favourite guy. i couldn’t see the hype about him until the whisper game and he kept going “dino? dino. dino in korean is di-no. DINO.” that was hilarious. after that i could kind of remember which one he was

the8 — the chinese guy. red hair guy. also sister’s favourite (which i laughed at btw when she told me. then she didn’t want to talk to me about him for weeks which was so funny)

joshua — the other american guy

seungkwan — sister’s least favourite guy (btw i do not agree with this sentiment and i think her opinion of him is completely unjust). also the guy who cried in nana tour

wonwoo — the glasses guy. also brought his camera everywhere with him and wore the cute orange bucket hat. was easy to tell him apart during nana tour because he kept wearing the same nana tour t-shirt with his name on it so loved him for that <3

jeonghan — the feminine one. was always mixing him up with joshua though

jun — the other chinese guy. the guy who was alone a lot. also thought he was a genius when his mission in nana tour was to make someone fall asleep and he said coups because of the time difference. big brain behaviour, he earned my respect. also thought he was very charming during performances 🫣 like my guy just has a way with the dances (world specifically) that captivates me

dk — the guy who sings a lot. salute. also wore the cute green granny square bucket hat. kept confusing him with mingyu in their performances though

in conclusion, bless nana tour for having them wear shirts with their name on it because it made identifying and differentiating them so much easier. it’s so fitting in my case that the one guy who i knew and recognised was the one guy who REFUSED to wear the nana tour shirt until the last day 😭

NEXT GEN DINOBOTS!

I’ve finally got around to making Dinobots sparkling Ocs, and after several redesigns I’m really happy with these!

They do exist in my lost light au btw! When Tailgate and Cyclonus experimented with making Gale without an hotspot. So Grimlock Asked(more like demand) Brainstorm to somehow find a way to make more dinobots without a hotspot as well as without having a partner.

So Brainstorm after watching some of swerve’s earth movies got the bright idea to create an Dinobot from an egg somehow, with the help of Grimlocks dna of course. AND IT WORKED! (Sorta) Bam was created then after few hundred years later so was Spittake and so forth.

Bam The Brontosaurus : Bam is the eldest at 400+ years old! (In my au Sparklings age like normal humans then after age 18 their body starts aging like a normal cybertonian) she is very kind and patient with her siblings and can come across very motherly. She often helps Grimlock “tame” the kids when things go south.

Though Bam is a Dinobot she doesn’t talk in 3rd person like Grimlock most of the time. This is probably due to the fact that she grew up around other cybertonians like her good friend Gale. She is also very smart as well, some tease she should be Queen of the Dinos some day!

Spittake The Dilophosaurus: He is the second oldest at age 12, and he honestly lives up to his name. He’s definitely a kind of shit disturber and hates when things are to “peaceful” in the Habsuite. Most of the chaotic things happening on the ship are usually caused by him, especially when he creates his artwork on the walls of the ship.

Spittake is able to use the colorful tar that constantly comes from his body and use it to create art! Though pretty on the surface, if it leaks into your optics or any kind of pores it can create very strong hallucinations. Victims of this have been Magnus, Grimlock, trailcutter and Prowl. All on accident of course!

Spittake may seem like a troublesome mech king but he’s actually a sweetheart who would do anything for his friends and family! He’s mostly seen make arts and crafts with Gala and Ten.

Hit The Raptor: she is the second youngest at 4 years old, The only way I can describe Hit perfectly is that she’s kind of a mix between Amy rose from sonic and Angelica from rugrats if that makes any sense? She definitely bratty and usually gets what she wants most of the time. She’s also a huge daddy’s girl, so whenever Spittake or some bots mean to her she’ll always run to Grimlock.

Hits a girly girl despite her tomboyish behavior sometimes. Her favorite color is pink and she always wants to play dress up with someone. Also Gala is her best friend so don’t be mean to her either unless you wanna see her true wrath.

Crash The Spinosaurus: crash is the youngest at 3 years old, there is much to say about him yet but that he feels more comfortable in his alt form instead. All of the next Gen dinobots stayed in their alt forms as Sparklings but Crash is taking a bit more time than usual.

He’s a very energetic and happy sparkling, even though he can’t say full words. He has a bad habit with biting things and bots occasionally, but it’s just his form of teething. Also he likes Gala…a lot! ;)

Salem is the older sibling to gigi and middle child to the Hale clan. Originally, just like all their other siblings, they were supposed to take on a position as a higher up in the company, but ended up choosing not to. Just like their father, they just didn't feel like the coroporate life was fit for them, it felt oppressive and restricting with all its social rules in the office and while dealing with other companies, the plain environment of the facilities and the never ending mountains of paperwork.

So they opened a bar on the spacestation in orbit of Cernunnos. At first things were great, a regular flow of travellers passing through and workers from the station as well as from the planetary rehab team came by to grab a drink after work, watch the sports broadcast and just hang out. And then the planetary rehab team got their own base down on the surface.....and then the base had to be shut off from outsiders due to a containment breach in the labs of the research department. Sure they got to open back up when the containment breach was resolved, but the customers just never came back the same as before and salems pride refused to let them allow their parents to slide them a little cash to give the bar a makeover. They refused to be just a nother nepotism baby.

And luck would have it that the new owner the handsome jackpot was looking to expand her empire, always ready to strike a deal to further her business ventures. Salem had seen moxxis broadcast from the underdome before it went down in flames thanks to a certain jackass, they had seen her on tv when she got interviewed as the new owner of the handsome jackpot. The way she carried herself, the charisma, the confidence, the poise, it was something salem aspired to be one day. And so, after a having to hype themselves up for two weeks, one mental break down and several evenings spent on the couch at home sobbing to their father while eating dino nuggies, they finally sent a message.

Anxiety wouldn't allow them to eat until a reply slid into their inbox which then quickly turned to them sobbing hystericly on the floor out of happiness. Moxxi was invited over to tour the premises and they had a deal.

The bar got a makeover, a promo campaign and business got back to buzzing! Sure salem wasn't the owner anymore, but they were still management of the local and in the end they got to stay where they felt most comfortable, behind the bar.

Some random tidbits about them:

they are physically intersex thanks to the XXY chromsome deviation. (this is a legit thing one of my irl friends has btw)

They dress very femminine which, for some reason, makes some idiots think it's okay to disrespect their identity more than when they dress masculine, these idiots usually don't last very long against their regulars

They have a little sign they can flip through, like these little flip calenders, with different pronouns on them, while on shift they prefer to go by he/him just to mess with the customers who instantly assume they are female due to their looks and to filter out all the bad eggs right away, no space for homophobia and transphobia under their roof!

outside of work they usually stick with they/them tho as they see themself as the physical manifestation of being nonbinary. Their second most used pronouns are he/him.

While on shift they go by Nixxi, Moxxi thought it would be a cute idea to make the xxi name ending a brand thing.

They themself don't drink any alcohol. They hate the taste, they just like mixing drinks.

The bar has a stage that is usually decorated with an assortment of instruments, sometimes bands play there and if you ask nicely you can also go up there and try your best to impress the audience. When they open they like to sometimes just sit ona chair on stage and jam on the accoustic guitar until customers come in.

When they're not at the bar or at home you can usually find them hanging out at a store run by one of their friends. It's a mix between an occultism and vintage clothing store.

if your wondering why I'm doing this, I am hyper fixating on digimon RN and i just really like crossovers

ROOKIE/CHILD STAGE: shoutmon

So i went with Shoutmon because it's red digimon that's been used by the main character of a digimon series before and it leads well into the evos i want, but i imagine him and Ruby having a fun dynamic, with shoutmon being hot blooded and kinda egotistical and Ruby having to rain him in a bit.

also shoutmon is associated with music and listening to music is the first thing we see Ruby doing the show proper.

yeah I'm giving all the MC's split megas, why because it's common among digi-destined and felt like it. but look at this guy, blood red, made out of guns, he also moves around in the air using his back guns and said back gun look like draconic crescent roses. another perfect mega.

yes i gave the digimon with a literal red hooded cape to someone who isn't Ruby, but this meant to be reference to Nicholas Schee's red cape, and as Weiss aspires to be like her grampa, hackmon aspires to be one of the royal knights, and both the royal knights and Nicholas can morally dubious to say the least. Also both him and Weiss were trained from birth for combat. i see hackmon acting like a armored talking dog and Weiss loving her for it.

And with hackmon kinda looking and kinda acting like Ruby and shoutmon acting like a more cartoonish Weiss, and both Weiss and shoutmon being singers, Ruby and Weiss when they first meet wonder "did our partners get accidentally switched at some point? did something happen?"

Weiss also has a lot of angelic imagery associated with her (i will leave my opinion on said imagery out of this post) and JESmon is kinda sorta... literally based on Jesus, yes digimon Jesus is very pointy dragon knight who has familiars named after the 3 musketeers... god i fucking LOVE digimon

MEGA/ULTIMATE STAGE NO.2: CRESGARURUMON

if Ruby has a Greymon, Weiss must have a Garurumon, this does feel like a natural evo for savior Hackmon, with cape splitting in half and the gem changing color, and Weiss does love dogs, but we both know the real reason i gave her this digimon...

it's the main character and her lancer, you kinda have to give them an Omnimon, and this is the best Omnimon! this also makes up for cres Garurumon being gold by having the entire main body be white.

Reading KHR in Japanese (5)

In Japanese, we can get a person's character and personality by the way of speaks. How about Tsuna's mother!

Nana

First person : Kaasan / (Watashi)

Second person : their name / Anata

on the whole : Mild, Generous

She speaks like little older than her age. This is not a mature or calm manner, but rather a conventional "motherly" way of speaking. She is a good mother and not unnatural. Her speaking is calm and laid back but not timidity impression. If anything, it shows her generous and leeeway mind.

Tsuna calls her "Kaasan", so Nana often calls herself "Kaasan". It is common for parents, to use the second person that their children use for them as the first person. Or, she sometime calls Tsuna "Anta". It often used by parents to call their children. It's not a polite expression, but when used by someone like her it conveys intimacy and affection.

She doesn't call other kids "Anta". Nor calls herself "Kaasan", or she doesn't calls them without a suffix. But it never means she keeps a distance from them. She loves them dearly and treats them like a real family. Even she once suggested to Futa, "If you will stay in Namimori, why don't you enroll in elementary school?" And if he said yes, she would definitely have helped. But for her there is a clear difference between her only son and the other children. Of course, never in a bad means. However this is reflected in such a her speaking way. Well, she had forgotten Tsuna's birthday once.

And she calls "Dino-kun" even he is adult. She gladly welcomes anyone who comes to house unexpectedly. I guess all of them are "Tsuna's friends" to her. She never scolded him about Tsuna's grades or abilities. The only thing she pointed out to him was the question of "how to live".

Or she does not limit him. When Kokuyo attacks Namimori, Tsuna is about to go out and says to him, "Maybe you shouldn't go out today?", but doesn't stop him. And when Lambo was injured in the Varia arc, she did what Tsuna asked without pursuing it. And she made a reason for Kyoko and Haru. The thinking at that time was nuanced "What is my husband doing? When he comes back, I will ask him why definitely". Of course, there is also the reason that Iemitsu was relying on her. But even though Tsuna knew something, and perhaps it was dangerous, she didn't get angry or question Tsuna. Like, "I don't know what's going on, but let's help him". She has never had any nuance of anger toward him in these situations.

She educated Tsuna "take care of your own affairs yourself". She is an optimist and a laissez-faire person. But never mean lazy. She was always a dependable adult who fulfilling her responsibilities.

Btw, middle school students rarely go out late at night in Japanese. Don't fight at school every night with Italian mafia.

Untitled x-over drabble

Idk how this got into my head and got out in about two hours or so as a somewhat proper story (actually I was translating my Ice Skating story - even almost half-way through already). I'm still a bit shocked how fast this was born (considering the fact that I skipped "translating" part of writing and went straight for writing in English), but I honestly like it. Anyways...

This is a short story (prequel type, I guess, as I'm definitely planning on writing more in this setting in the future) on that wild crossover of Original RE4, Remake and a tint of Dino Crisis (no dinos here yet, though).

It's 693 words, and it starts in my old AU of RE4 OG, about six years after Luis survived his first encounter with Saddler in Leon's presence (well, almost: Leon was a bit late to the party, so Jess had to start saving Luis on her own), got out of the Island in one piece, got a girlfriend. Her name's Jessy Jones btw (I told you, I'm absolutely unoriginal with names) and at the moment of this story she and Luis are already married.

Warnings? Idk, mentions of death? Oh, and it's canon x OC type of story.

And - no worries, Luis will survive by any means necessary.

All the odds were not in his favor – and even if he somehow could break free, his injured leg has made escape next to impossible. Luis closed his eyes, silently sending his last farewells to friends and family, but was abruptly brought back to reality by a sharp tug on the ropes that were holding him in place and an all too familiar voice of his wife, thickly laced with horror and despair, calling his name. - Jessy, - he gasped, realizing that she was really kneeling next to him and trying to set him free. - Por favor, no... Go, leave me. - I'm not going anywhere without you, - she retorted angrily, biting her lips to blood and frantically trying to untie her husband from the center column of this room, filled with equipment of unclear purpose. Luis desperately longed to know how could she possibly find him here, why she was here alone... But time was of an essence and the last thing he wanted was for his beloved to perish with him. He couldn't even tell her who was behind this as all he had was suspicions and a record with distorted voice, that had enlightened him on his fate in a mocking tone when he came to, already tied up. - This place is rigged to explode, - the Spaniard whispered. - And there's not much time left. The brunette just growled under her breath and doubled her efforts, regretting that she didn't get a habit of carrying a knife with her. - Think of our daughter, - Serra once again tried to call to reason. - Mel's only five and she needs at least one of her parents by her side. - But... Luis... - Jessica stopped and looked at him with teary eyes, rising her hand to caress his cheek. - I can't leave you. - I know, - he smiled weakly, too aware of the clock ticking away precious moments. - It's about hard choices. Time slowed down again, the wait of death becoming almost painful, but then a distant “click”, that seemed too loud in the silence of the facility, set the things into motion. The floor underneath him started trembling, the following heatwave washed over Serra's body, his ears were stricken with a loud “boom” and he flinched, awaiting the blast getting to him and the following pain before imminent death... Yet nothing happened, and he was deafened by the sudden silence... Sensation of short flight came next, sending Luis into air. He didn't have enough time to muse on where did his ropes disappear as he was blinded by the bright flash of light. Shortly after his back collided with something hard, eliciting a quiet moan from his throat, as he fell to the unexpectedly soft ground merely managing to turn his head sideways for not breaking his nose in addition to all the injuries he had already sustained. - How am I still alive? - the Spaniard quietly muttered to himself, as soon as he blinked away the involuntary tears of pain and was able to take into his surroundings. - ¿Y dónde demonios estoy?* Luis found himself alone and hurt in the middle of an unfamiliar forest with no signs of human life nearby and he had absolutely no idea of what to do now.

Um, uhh. Well, fun fact - I wasn’t really a dino kid, while my sister was (and still is, the nerd) absolutely obsessed with dinosaurs. I always liked the goofy looking one from The Land Before Time, and yes, I just had to google his name and now I’m gonna have to google what type of Dino he is. One sec. He’s called Spike btw. Stegosaurus!!!! Yes. I think that’s my favorite eheheh

Iiiiiii… well it’s just a few sentences but it’s like. A witch wants to curse the Justice League but since she’s like. A baby witch. Her curse is to get rid of foul mouthed language (don’t ask, it was 4am)

Long story short: Clark steps in front of the curse because he’s Superman and um. When he and Bruce try to have some ✨alone time✨ the dirty talk, uh….. is an experience. Needless to say Clark hunts down the witch because tHE HORROR OF SAYING COITUS IN DIRTY TALK!??? Noooooo
