Galarian Ponyta/Rapidash Fun Facts
Though lone Galarian rapidashes will often flee when confronted by humans, they become extremely aggressive when their foals are involved, and are prone to lashing out in a very dangerous way. This behavior likely developed in response to the ancient practice of hunting Galarian ponytas for their horns, which were said to have magical healing properties. Though this practice has been outlawed for centuries and is no longer commonplace, Galarian rapidashes are still fiercely protective of ponytas; for this reason, visitors to the Glimwood Tangle that hope to catch a member of the line are encouraged to seek out solitary specimens rather than scouting for herds.
Galarian ponytas are both capable of sensing the intentions of humans, and very wary of approaching anyone that is actively seeking them out-- another result, most likely, of Galar’s ancient horn-hunting practice. Because of this, it’s often said that they, paradoxically, can only be found by those that aren’t looking for them.
Galarian ponytas or rapidashes with Kantonian ancestry display unique coloration, with coarse manes that take on hues ranging from sparkling orange to magenta. This “sunset mane” is considered highly desirable by some due to its unique beauty, and has resulted in several breeding operations with a focus on breeding between the two subspecies. However, these crossbred equines often seem to lack STAB for one or even both of their types (or any type, for that matter), a common issue faced when crossbreeding different varieties of the same species-- making them inferior battlers when compared to their standard Galarian or Kantonian counterparts.
Though Kantonian rapidashes are capable of reaching higher galloping speeds, Galarian rapidashes are much more prolific jumpers, and at times seem to “glide” short distances when jumping-- a feat no doubt aided by the Psychic energy stored in their hair and feathered fetlocks!
The hair of the Galarian ponyta line can glow for weeks or even months after falling out, depending on the psychic power of the specimen in question. It’s not uncommon for trainers to turn any discarded locks of hair into temporary keychains due to their colorful, sparkling qualities.
Due to their relatively small size, emotional intelligence, and their ability to easily understand the needs of their trainer, Galarian ponytas make for absolutely stellar service animals-- as would Galarian rapidashes, if not for their significantly larger stature.
Like many Fairy-types, the Galarian ponyta line possesses a powerful sweet tooth! Though feeding them exclusively sweet foods is certainly not recommended, an occasional snack of fruits, berries, or even sugar cubes will easily pacify most foals. They’re also very partial to mint.
Galarian ponytas and rapidashes are known to greatly enjoy soft music of the classical variety. One recent viral video features a small herd of them approaching a harp player in the woods, the latter of whom remained totally unaware of their equine audience for the entire duration of the herd’s stay-- the performer in question apparently only noticed their presence when editing the footage the next day.

something I've been thinking a lot about lately is a question my sister asked me, and the knee-jerk response I didn't think about before saying out loud:
Her: "Do you think I'm annoying?"
Me: "If I didn't love you, yeah."
Because, after saying it, my first thought was "oh shit that was mean." And my second thought was, "it's true, though." And the third, immediate thought after that was, "why?".
If my best friend is making repetitive, meaningless noises for no reason, I love it. I love them. They're my weird little goofball. They're vibing. They're comfortable. They're being a weirdo. If a stranger sitting next to me on the bus does it, I close my eyes and put on my headphones and try not to hear them. Why is that?
What is it about loving someone that makes being "annoyed" an enjoyable experience? I love being "annoyed" by the people I love. I love being poked and teased and inconvenienced by people I love. So much so that it's not really an annoyance at all- it's not an annoyance because I'm not annoyed.
If I didn't care about you, I'd find you annoying. If I didn't like you, I'd find you annoying. If I hated you, I'd find you annoying. But I don't. I don't dislike you. I love you, and I feel that first.
So why am I so afraid of being annoying myself? Is it possible that the people who like me might like it? And is it possible that whoever doesn't was already a foregone conclusion? I don't know. I don't know

Im not diagnosed with anything, but I don't need any doctor to tell me I KNOW I have executive dysfunction. I have trouble contacting friends, my community, even my partner. But I find it much easier to talk with my sister. It's like that wall and forgetfulness and unwillingness is all gone. I hope you have some one like that, too. The guilt may be hard, but you got through today, we can do tomorrow. You're not alone. I know there's nothing realistically I can do to help, but I send you well wishes and I'll pray for you. (Sorry if that seems weird, i dont mean to seem rude, I am religious, and many days, it feels like its the only thing i can do.) But I wish you peace of mind. Keep your strength.
it doesn't seem weird! i may not be religious in the least but i Understand the Meaning/Intent, so thank you! means a lot! i wish you luck as well, ik it must suck More being undiagnosed but knowing there's something up

𝗚𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝗵𝗶𝗺𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗲𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗱. This, beyond being a testament to his softer heart, his rather sizable well of care, is a consequence of his time shared with Mystra. Being a worshipper, a follower and lover both to the mother of magic, Gale is far more familiar with giving than receiving. A tremendous deal more. Beyond those illusions of love, Mystra granted him nothing, and whenever she was troubled, even sour or short, it was Gale, doting Gale, who would smooth it out. In truth, short of the stars, he had offered her everything. His whole life to boot. Still, living for some years prioritizing Mystra, Gale's grown notably reluctant to ask for help. It's why, when strapped with the netherese orb, newly blighted and rotting to death, he'd sooner clamored in his tower than look to friends. He's loathed to show his folly, of course, and is far from a fan of stirring worry, but with Mystra, any ask he'd made was resolutely shunned, and from his lover, his deity, that left its mark. Gale--a giver, a man that wants to hope but doesn't dare to--is not a man to ask for anything. If ever he does, the ask is comically small, and even then, he expects to be denied almost immediately. Consequently, an eager kindness leaves him floored. Gale can read displeasure. (See: Mystra.) Gale's trained to soothe it, too. Yet, when confronted with the novelty of that same generosity, your resident Gale of Waterdeep is like a fish out of water.
