Hockey Hall of Fame, Toronto (No. 3)
The first curator of the new Hall of Fame was Bobby Hewitson. Following Hewitson's retirement in 1967, Lefty Reid was appointed to the position. Reid was curator of the Hockey Hall of Fame for the next 25 years, retiring in 1992. Following Reid's retirement, former NHL referee-in-chief Scotty Morrison, who was the president of the Hockey Hall of Fame since 1986, was appointed curator. Morrison supervised the relocation of the Hall of Fame and its exhibits. The current curator is Phil Pritchard.
The Hockey Hall of Fame is led by Lanny McDonald, Chairman of the Board, and Chief Executive Officer, Jeff Denomme. It is operated as a non-profit business called the "Hockey Hall of Fame and Museum" (HHFM), independent of the National Hockey League. The Hall of Fame was originally sponsored by the NHL and Hockey Canada and revenue is generated mainly through admissions.
The Hockey Hall of Fame has 15 exhibit areas covering 60,000 square feet (5,600 m2). Visitors can view trophies, memorabilia and equipment worn by players during special games. The Esso Great Hall, described as "a Cathedral to the icons of Hockey", contains portraits and biographical information about every Hall of Fame honoured member. The centrepiece of the Great Hall is the Stanley Cup; for part of the year a replica is put on display when the presentation cup travels outside of the Hall of Fame. The original version of the Cup and the older rings, as well as all of the current National Hockey League trophies, are displayed in the bank vault, an alcove off the Great Hall. The Hall of Fame induction ceremony is annually held in the Great Hall.
The NHL Zone is a large area featuring displays relating to the NHL. Current teams and players are highlighted in the NHL Today area, while the NHL Retro displays include memorabilia and information about every NHL team past and present. The NHL Legends area features rotating exhibits focusing on honoured members; and NHL Milestones displays exhibits of noteworthy records including Darryl Sittler's ten-point game and Wayne Gretzky's all-time points record. The Stanley Cup dynasties exhibit features displays that include memorabilia from the rosters of nine teams considered to be dynasties because they dominated the NHL for several years at a time. This area also has a replica of the Montreal Canadiens' dressing room as it existed at the old Montreal Forum. The Panasonic Hometown Hockey section is dedicated to grassroots hockey in North America; it includes exhibits about various leagues and sections on women's and disabled hockey leagues. Special exhibits in the past included an exhibit in 2000 showcasing Gretzky memorabilia.
Interactive displays are featured in the NHLPA Be A Player Zone. At the Source For Sports Shoot Out, visitors take shots using real pucks at a computer simulation of goaltender Ed Belfour. Its counterpart, Lay's Shut Out, has visitors playing goaltender, blocking shots from computer simulations of players Wayne Gretzky and Mark Messier. The TSN/RDS Broadcast Zone provides a look at how hockey broadcasting works and allows users to record messages that may be displayed on both the Hockey Hall of Fame's website, and the TSN/RDS networks

BMP files use three consecutive pairs of Hexadecimal characters to determine a single pixel's color, as RGB. For the raw data of the uploaded file, this is the resulting image. If this were an audio file, you can easily test the verisimilitude of this process by uploading this picture to frankenbit, where it will be converted to the original audio file, not unlike a needle reading the grooves on a vinyl record
WAV files use a sample rate which is a function of frequency over time. If this file was a picture, you can easily test the verisimilitude of the process by uploading this audio file to frankenbit, where it will be converted to the original picture file.
A rendering of the picture with no wrapping of the pixels, as if all pixels were rendered horizontally, and then the image were stretched vertically. This allows you to see patterns more easily, as the x axis represents the beginning and end of the file more faithfully.

So much on our plates right now.
I love being busy, it motivates me. This time of year we have much to do but not a lot of structure. That doesn’t work for me so I have to create artificial deadlines. There’s an Amish saying that goes something like this “work expands to fill the time.” That can be me if I let it. My Mom always said” if you need something done, give it to a busy person to do.” It’s true. Probably was a saying to be needlepointed on a pillow that we were always swearing we were going to make someday. Thing is I’m the only one that needlepointed in the family. I guess I really was too busy to get that done. But maybe now.....
We’re loading Ebay and Amazon with Merch. Nothing better to hear than a cha ching weeks after the “work” has been done. It’s all about cash flow. We need to have our online stores  ramped because there won’t be time soon.  We’re  getting ready for Market Season as merchants and also working on HHFM! Then it will be off to the races.
People are reaching out already to sign up as HHFM vendors.  I think it’s going to be a great season with some help from the weather. Praying for a great growing season for the farmers. I don’t know how they do it! And temperate weather for the rest of us! I love being with my Market Family.
We want to revamp our displays for the markets because we’re bringing out new product and I’m bored with the old one. Through Mom and Dad’s illnesses it was better to have a plan and be able to work it several times a week. Plus the fact that I wasn’t exactly feeling creative or inspired. But now I am,but I’ve lost my sounding board and critical eye. Dad I need you! He helped me name most of our soaps. I still have the scraps of paper we used that day with his handwriting, hanging on the bulletin board next to my desk. I see it everyday. Weirdest part is our handwriting is eerily similar. And no I didn’t do it on purpose.  So much so, that the family and even Dad and I couldn’t tell them apart sometimes. We would look at each other and smile. Thing is I can’t draw but I could have easily done lettering. But he would say “lettering is drawing. You’ve just never allowed yourself to be bad at something. You want it to be perfect the first time.” Totally true. My sister too. That came from my mother! More on that later. Stay tuned. Right Squirt?
I get bogged down in details. He’s the one that made me and my sister that way BTW, and he would be the one to say, “Stop over designing!” “Stop gliding the lily, it’s soap or whatever!”  Funny because he was so critical of his own work but it was always worked out before he put pen to paper. Often at home we would see him staring off into space. Usually in the direction of the grass and his plantings.  Mom would say “Watching the grass grow again Dick?” But she knew he was working. It infuriated his colleagues! And in college some of his professors.  He told me about his charcoal class. She never wanted them to go into too much detail at first. But he always went to finish. That was his style. He always did. She would come along with a chamois and wipe his board and say “Start over Mr. Edmiston.” He started out hating her and then admitted he wound up loving her. She taught him so much.  In his later years and we needed something, he would sit down sketch for about 5 minutes and hand it over. We’d ask how it only took 5 minutes. “Fifty years and 5 minutes” he would say.
We did a lot as a family, all the way down to all getting haircuts together. Pretty weird. Well not really. Mom and Dad still lived at the shore so when they would come up for a day we would plan to get together.  It was getting to the time when mom started needing help getting around. So we would all go together. Usually just the girls. Mom would treat us to haircuts and then say “and that’s the last time!” Ok Mom.
There was a shop next to the salon we used to go to in Collingswood. It was a sorta Asian Artifact store. My sister had been eyeing up a piece in the window  for months. An outdoor piece to hang on the wall in a garden.  It was made of cement or a like material to hang outside. Lotus pattern I think. She had shown it to Dad on the way into the salon and when she came out it was gone. She didn’t put two and two together.  She was so upset! But come Christmas there it was wrapped up and in her pile of gifts. She was so thrilled! Hung it the next day I think. So she sent me a photo to show to Daddy. In the iPhone photo he could tell that it was a finger nail clippings worth lower on the right side. He made me call her to tell her to fix it! So I did. She said “I know! Son of a bitch! Only he would notice it!”  It was hanging on a brick wall and difficult to make it perfect. So she put a minuscule piece of match book cover, I think,  behind it and it evened it out. Of course she sent a new pic. “ Much better. Much, much better!” he said.  So of course he told me to call and tell her good job.
When we confronted him about this trait he had instilled in us, he would smile and laugh and refuse to admit it was from him. And then he would open his arms as if to hug us and say “Well I guess I did. I guess I did.” and laugh. He was proud of it.  I think like most parents he didn’t think we were paying attention. Yes, Dad we did....... but there’s so much more to learn and wonder about.
So Dad, what do you think about Musk sending a red convertible Tesla into space with a dummy in? My sister and I are guessing “Pretty cool, but why?” I think he would have said, “hell he could have sent me instead of the dummy!.”
Dummy or dumby?
