Something that really intrigued me about Hilda is that in the first season it started with Frankie cosmos song (Fool) and how the last season it ended with Frankie cosmos. It started and ended with Frankie cosmos :') (such a bitter sweat feeling)
i wanted to put out there how i like that the first 2 seasons of hilda are somewhat episodic, though they have hints to the next episode that when first watching through, can feel like throwaway bits.
untill you watch the next episode, of corse.
and i also like how in season 3 the still kind of keep that up, though the first episodes and the last ones are less episodic and more lore - heavy
With Hilda Season 3 almost here, I thought I'd share this cool thing the Hilda fandom refound recently.
Back in 2019 Dana Terrace tweeted a photo of her in this red coat and given she had blue hair at the time, a lot of people mentioned how she kinda looked like Hilda (this was not too long after season 1 had come out).
Eventually after all her pre 2020 tweets were deleted, it became a sort of lost media hunt and we finally refound it with the help of archivists who checked through The Owl House server.
Kind of a cool little bit of old trivia from back in the day. Also, you can seen in the background a bit of stuff for TOH too. This was about a year out from the show's first season and a few months after Hilda S1 came out.
Now we near the end of this amazing show. Be sure to watch it when it comes out!
back to Hilda (I’m obsessed again oops). The way it drops hints about things is great. Like the massive beast in the first season being mentioned in the Tide Mouse episode and then continuing to pop up. The weather lady being eerily good at predicting the weather. And don’t forget the biggest and most important one: that maybe trolls aren’t monsters at all. Which truly comes to a head in the movie.
but I also like that we see so clearly Hilda’s mum try to support her. She can’t see alpha at all, but just trusts Hilda that he exists. She believes Hilda about the great raven before seeing it. And what’s important about this is that it’s so heart breaking to see them struggle in the second season. With her mum struggling to support her wild and adventurous nature but wanting to keep her safe. Ugh so good.
Just 10 days until Season 3 of Hilda drops, and so in celebration, I'm going to return to my roots and reblog some of my favorite pieces of Kaisa fanart that I've collected over the years! She is a big part of why I chose the moniker Bookshop, and has a lasting legacy in my heart.
None of these pieces are my creations, and I haven't been able to track down all of the artist, so if anybody has better information about who made them, please let me know! That said, here is the first of my 10 days of Kaisa!
I have been unable to track the signature to an account, and google reverse image search returns a blank. But there is a signature.
