i think his hair is really crunchy from hair gel and he has a hard time flattening it with the gel so the center is typically flatter than the rest of his hair but by the end of the day it kind of falls out

i do not CARE if the books say that the mithril shirt was made long ago as a commission for an elven prince. it's MY fic and I get to decide that thorin found a bunch of links that his mother was going to work on just before smaug came and when he's be ushered out of the treasury by bilbo or balin or whatever unlucky dwarf had pulled the short straw and been sent to suggest that mayby the king get some sleep.. or eat something… he goes back to his mother's old work room and carefully links the rings together (the ancient art of working with mithril all but lost to time, but Thorin remembers watching his mother when she started the project) and thinking totally normal thoughts about how he needs to protect bilbo from all possible harm.

Okay so like I did some poking and apparently people have started actually using fungus for fabric. They specifically use the mycelium because it's already a type of fiber. I don't have my text reader rn tho so I can't go through to find proper articles that go into depth. But like mycelium fabric and fungus leather are things and my brain is rotating them.

But with my worldbuilding, since the base of Minecraft already has it, I've used the magic of ✨ Convergent Evolution ✨ to explain some things because it is extremely strong. So basically cotton-like fungus that grows in the Nether and helps make at least a teeny tiny bit of oxygen (I know how fungus work but listen, listen, magic /lh).
