are you named after anyone? not technically, ive asked my parents multiple times about How they came up with me and my siblings names, but they just. didnt think very hard about it. fjkdlsjfdlas. but in a way im named after my mom, because me and saturns given names start with the same letter as our moms; my younger siblings names start with the same letter as our dads. i guess me and saturn could also be named for one of my dads uncles?? our names mixed make that uncles name. but idk im not willing to believe my dad cares that much about Anyone in his family to honor their memory through our names lawl

when was the last time you cried? i think the other day watching atla, when zuko and iroh reunite before the final battle. zuko trying to stumble through an apology and thinking iroh must hate him, but iroh just without even saying anything grabbing zuko and pulling him into a tight and tearful hug... man ;_;

do you have kids? HELL NO!!!!! im barely halfway through my 20s i should be at the club. dont want kids, never wanted kids, will never want kids. i will tolerate being my nieces and nephews cool auncle when my siblings start having kids of their own, and No More, thanks

do you use sarcasm a lot? i guess so?? its hard to gauge. i feel like most of the time i speak sincerely, but i will also throw in the occasional sarcastic quip. shrugs

what sports do you play? i dont play any sports anymore, but up until high school i played softball. i was pretty good i think! pitcher and second base. also in middle/high school i was a baton twirler for band and i guess dance competitions (i have Never thought of it as 'dance' but i guess technically i was dancing... blegh), and im gonna count that as a sport. any activity with the possibility and probability of being hit on the head by a metal rod counts as a sport to me

what’s the first thing you notice about people? probably their height. most people are taller than me but i will make an immediate note of people who are Shorter than me

what’s your eye color? grrrreen gray? i spent a few minutes staring at my eyes trying to figure out the color but all i did was strain my eyes jfldks

scary movies or happy endings? hmmmmmm i love both. i like blood and gore and guts and evil, but i also like heartwarming fluff where everything works out. i cant decide!! it just depends on my mood hehe

any special talents? i hesitate to claim i have perfect pitch because it sounds self congratulatory, but im pretty sure i have perfect pitch lmao. i cant Identify notes by name but i can recreate pretty much any note i hear, as long as its in my range. im not a good singer though lawl i dont have the technique. in the same vein, i can recreate other noises i hear pretty well, like i taught myself how to do the perry the platypus clicking sound Thing he does just by listening to it

where were you born? texas born and raised! everyone i knew growing up was a redneck or a 'cowboy church' christian

what are your hobbies? drawing, writing fanfic oneshots or rps with friends, bideo games, rewatching the same handful of tv shows and letsplays and video essays over and over again

do you have any pets? my son, my sweet bubby, apollo :> my stupid little man, hes gonna be 3 this year i think! flame point siamese kitty, dumb as rocks, currently i think hes burrowed in the sheets on my bed taking a nappy

how tall are you? 5'2", but add a couple inches because i almost exclusively wear shoes that add height, like my Big Dyke Boots i wear every day hehe

favorite subject in school? any of my electives probably, like art and music/band. in college my favorite classes i ever took were film appreciation, screenwriting, and theatre directing (which i signed up for thinking it was film directing, but it was still so fun and interesting)

dream job? honestly?? i think anything on the set of a movie or tv show would be awesome. maybe creative consultant, so that i can interject my own ideas into other peoples projects. i tend to feel my most creative when im working Around other peoples ideas tbh. all that, or lead writer/director on my own tv show/movie/video game, if i ever feel like i can handle that pressure

Last Song I Listened To: Havana in Classical Latin. Oh my gosh, it's so good! The singer's pronunciation is phenominal. I think I listened to this song a hundred times this week. The way I enjoy songs is that I find one that I like a lot and play it on repeat until I find another I like :)

Favourite Movie: Hmmmmmm... This is a very hard question. I don't really watch movies. But, I did watch Mio Figlio Nerone more times than I'd like to admit so I guess that's my current favourite movie!

Currently Watching: Nothing right now, but the second I'm less busy, I'm rewatching Domina! It's my favourite show by far. No piece of media has ever made me feel things Domina has made me feel.

Currently Reading: A Fatal Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum: Murder in Ancient Rome by Emma Southon. There are a few things I don't really like about it, but it's overall a fun book to read. And because this book is pretty much just a list of anecdotes about killings back in ancient Rome, it is definitely a good starting point for anyone who's interested in that. If you find an interesting anecdote, you can research more about it!

Currently Working On: 1) Art. Yesterday I suddenly got inspired to draw and I have been drawing a lot since then! Better draw as much as I can while it lasts! And 2) I'm currently trying to study more Latin and Italian. Those two are easily my favourite languages, but I'd have to say I prefer Latin over Italian (sorry Italian).

Current Obsession: I'm currently not in an obsession obsession, where I get so obsessed, I start getting worried about myself.

My ancient Rome interest was actually started by an obsession obsession. I got a bit interested in Claudius, then I got very interested in Claudius, then I got worryingly interested in Claudius, then I got interested in him to the point where the only thing I thought about from waking up to going to sleep was Claudius and I literally did nothing but think about Claudius and read books and watch videos about Claudius for like a week. A neat thing that happened is that I was unable to become bored from Claudius. My attention span is normally awful and I become bored very quickly, but this obsession managed to bypass that and so I was able to binge-read extremely long and dry and old history books about Claudius without ever getting tired at all. But then, when I eventually stopped being so obsessed with Claudius, I was already too far in and I had learned too much about Rome to ever go back. After that, I had a few other obsession obsessions, such as Britannicus, Caligula, Domina, Tiberius, but they were never as strong as the original Claudius one. I sometimes wonder what happened there, but I'm glad it happened.

However, right now, no obsession obsession.

But of course, I've had my early Roman Empire/late Roman Republic (but mostly early empire) special interest for quite some time now, and everyone I know would say that I am Obsessed with it. Recently I have been very very interested in the early years of Octavian (like everything Octavian did before 27 BC), which is honestly quite a bit earlier than I usually like. Nowadays I have been interested in earlier and earlier parts of Roman history! (aka going from really liking the late Julio-Claudian dynasty last year to really liking the early Julio-Claudian dynasty this year. It's a bit slow).

1. How many works do you have on AO3?

20! Three of those are drabble compilations, how I keep my 100-word drabbles organized for different fandoms, but I'm counting them 😂

2. What’s your total AO3 word count?

35,104. I don't know how to write long lmao.

3. What fandoms do you write for?

Most of my fics (15 of them to be exact, as well as the main longer fic I'm writing atm) are for Outlander, but I've written for a total of 5 fandoms, and hop between them at different times. In addition to Outlander, I have fics/drabbles for The Song of Achilles, The Last Binding Trilogy, 911, and 911: Lone Star.

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

To Heart and Home (Outlander, multichap, canon divergent) - by farrrrr, which makes sense, as it's my only multichap

Foundations (Outlander, one shot, canon compliant)

return my fists to fingers (The Last Binding, one shot, canon compliant)(i need more of yall to read these books and write fic for them. i need it)

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

I do! I don't post often enough that I get an overwhelming amount of comments or anything, so it's not a huge burden to reply to them all. I just am continually baffled by people reading what I write, it genuinely blows my mind.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

hmmmmmm. a lot of what I write is pretty angsty, but I love finding and weaving out the thread of hope that lives in those broken places. That said, does heaven have enough angels yet is pretty rough. It's a canon compliant little snippet from the pov of a stillborn infant so like...... she's sad. there's still hope tho! always still hope.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

ooo probably the fluffiest happy fic I have is All the Colors in the Rainbow! It ends with all the Frasers going off to Pride, and it makes me hella happy.

The happiest fic story-wise is probably To Heart and Home, just because it fixes The Main Fuckening that happens in Outlander and brings that family back together earlier.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

*knocks on wood* i haven't yet!

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I don't, I'm not brave enough. The closest I came to it was with Grievances Raised, wherein Claire pegs the brains out of her husband, but I only wrote the aftermath.

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

I haven't done one yet!

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not that I know of 🤞🏻

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

I don't think so? I feel like I remember someone asking me to translate To Heart and Home a few years ago, but I don't know if anything ever came of it.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

I haven't! I feel like I would be the worst co-writer lol, I am farrrr too slow.

14. What’s your all-time favorite ship?

to write? idk, probably Jamie and Claire? I just feel like I know them, inside and out. I don't have to look for their voices, they're right there.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

oh god, so many outlander ones lmao.

16. What are your writing strengths?

I am really good at matching the tone of the source material! Once I get the voice of the characters/narration/general story style, I feel like I can reproduce the general vibes of canon. I think that's why I sometimes have an easier time with writing fic from stories in the form of books - there's a written tone I can internalize. And consequently, why I've had a harder time with nailing a voice for 911 or Lone Star, even though I do want to eventually write fic for those shows.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Dialogue and plot! I write Vibes™, but I don't know how to write actual Stories. I would love to be that writer who could crank out a whole story with a plot and shit, because I love that type of fic with my whole self, but my brain just functions in vibes.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I am a Coward about it. I've written a fair amount of Gàidhlig into my Outlander fics, especially in To Heart and Home, and honestly I think I've done a pretty good job with it. I spent a lot of time researching the language, up to and including researching grammar structures and taking duolingo lessons at the beginning of the pandemic for a few months. I've forgotten most of it now though, despite duolingo being extremely persistent with its reminders lmao.

However.

If I were to write for 911 and Lone Star like I would like to, I would like to include some Spanish into those stories (especially with Lone Star), and I just don't think I would do it justice. I failed Spanish miserably in high school, and haven't taken a stab at it since. If I include it I want to do it well and respectfully, ya know? I'm bilingual (just not with Spanish lol) and an interpreter, and I think that has brought with it a better understanding of just how complicated language is, and how easy it is to fuck it up when you don't know what you're doing. And as a very white person, I also don't want to act like I know fuck-all about a non-white language and culture when I don't.

Sooooo, I'm a coward about it atm. Hoping to get better eventually though!

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Outlander! Never ever thought I would write fic, didn't think I was "allowed." Hadn't ever written anything creatively before (in english at least), so it was a big jump for me. this makes it sound like english is my second language, when really it's just that the first time that anyone made me write creatively was in my deaf lit class

20. Favorite fic you’ve written?

Oh god this changes all the time. At the moment I've feeling very tender towards into the empty parts of me. It's a really tragic part of canon, but just gorgeous character potential. I loved how gentle this turned out, how John and Claire had a moment of healing in the middle of their tragedy.

But also I think that the fic I'm writing right now is gonna turn out to be my favorite ❤ once I get the writing juices flowing again for one last section 🤞🏻

Yknow Blast's eyes being confirmed yellow only give a little more credence to the crack theory that he's a future version of Garou, hmmmmmm... also just a sick volume cover in general, although is it just me or has Saitama's suit been coloured a brighter shade of yellow in the latest volume covers?

LMAO at more fuel for those old crack theories now with the same face scar + yellow eyes! xD What's next Murata!? Really glad Bast finally got a deserved vol cover though, as I've been hoping/waiting for whether he might, since the timing's perfectly now or never for it, and it looks great! (we can expect Garou's will be saved for later of course~)

As for the yellow of Saitama's suit being any different (ie bright lemon yellow vs darker goldenrod) I think it's just the digital color balance + brightening adjustments used on the scan, since the copic markers Murata's used on other recent vols with him appear to be pretty similar in tone. Perhaps those are simply the types of post-corrections Murata prefers now~ For ex you can see how vol 26 appears different - like more glowing or subdued, depending on the lighting too, but overall his suit looks pretty normal.

Hmmmmmm yes. Interesting questions. ;;;;;;;;;;;;(人◕ω◕) A.) Angie was.....well she was definitely curious. Iroha is pretty well known and very popular amongst current-generation painters. Angie wanted to get a chance to actually meet the person behind the painting (and not to scout out the competition in talent and if she had a relationship with makoto). Much to her surprise, Iroha was a ball of positive fluff. Of course, the only thing holding her back is her desire to NOT donate blood to Atua but besides that, Angie loves Iroha. Although some have wondered if Iroha is the Kouhai given Angie can be a TINY bit overbearing extremely rarely ;;;(人◕ω◕) Hmm. Yes. Well it doesn't matter since the two are best friends (even though Iroha keeps weaseling out of donations) and Iroha has helped Angie's painting skills increase more while Angie has given Iroha better general art tips and sources of inspiration which has helped her painting. Yes. These two are best friends. (人◕ω◕)(人◕ω◕)(人◕ω◕)

They're so close they even have matching eye colors. (人◕ω◕)

Rei: No. (╬≖_≖)(╬≖_≖)(╬≖_≖) SOMEONE needs to speak up about the ineptitude of our staff. Well, MOST are, there are a few members who live up to their status as a teacher.

;;;;;;;;;(人◕ω◕) But-

Rei: Let us begin.Let's start with Sakakura-Sensei of Class 77-A. He is rude, obnoxious, too overbearing, and is clearly not suited to the lifestyle of a teacher. Yes, he knows how to wrangle in the troublemakers but his temperament means he matches Anger with more Anger. Hmph. Fortunately, his class is decent as far as classes go in this insane asylum.

Rei: *Checks notes* Yes. *HER*. Yukisome-"Sensei". I use the term "sensei" because not only is her class a problematic bunch, this poor excuse of a teacher spends more time around Makoto than she should be wrangling her students. (╬≖_≖) Yukisome clearly seems to have an unhealthy obsession with a STUDENT and needs to be put on probation or let go. As a teacher she does a DECENT job however she is far too lenient and isn't taken seriously by those who know they can exploit that. Still......despite her unprofessional behaviors, she does care about her students and puts in the work necessary to learn the material to teach to her kids.

Rei: Garbage. Let us move on. (╬≖_≖)

Eh??? B-But....you haven't- ;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;(人◕ω◕) Rei: I SAID let us move on! (╬ಠ益ಠ)(╬ಠ益ಠ)(╬ಠ益ಠ) *Takes a deep breath and calms down* It's fine. Makoto deserves a far better tutor and professor. Despite Kizakura's incredible buffoonery and drunken stupor, it has provided an opportunity for me to take over Naegi's teaching. Outside of him, however Class 78-A is one of the most troublesome bunch. Only rivaling 79-A and 80-A/B. The fact that this imbecile hasn't been fired says everything about the "integrity" of this school (╬≖_≖)

Rei: Dogami-Sensei. Hmph. Finally, we have our first REAL teacher who takes her job seriously and does a decent job at it as well. Dogami-sensei may lack nuance on certain subjects and as such philosophical subjects tend to be her weak spot but she makes up for it with her ability to control her class and have enough compassion to regularly check up on her students and ensure they are properly prepared for graduation. Dogami-sensei may be strict but that's not a bad trait especially when her class is the most terrible bunch I've ever seen. Psycho's all of them! Dogami-sensei easily passes as the standard as to what all teachers here SHOULD be like at a minimum! No showing interest in male students! No trying to be best friends or big sisters for students! Yes. Dogami-sensei is a true teacher.

Rei: Ah. Yes. (╬≖_≖)(╬≖_≖)(╬≖_≖)(╬≖_≖) Hagakure-"Sensei". I know not which is more inept. Yukizome or Hagakure? Hagakure or Sakakura? At this point, it doesn't really matter. *Sighs* I'm being a bit too uncharitable. Hagakure-sensei has.....the same obsession problem that Yukizome has with Makoto. I must iterate that fraternizing with students is illegal and these two need to be reminded of this lest they find themselves in a jail cell! Hagakure does tend to get the job done. It's no secret her class loves her (although yes you could say the same about Yukizome-sensei) and she does a good job at teaching subjects. However, calling everyone nicknames and trying to appear as a "Big Sister" instead of a true authoritative figure worthy of respect takes points off her! Not to mention not doing much to handle that scum Ouma. (╬≖_≖)

Rei: Hmph! Our teacher is next I see. Yes. Okoshi-Sensei. She is....adequate. Not too incompetent like Kizakura and not exactly ideal like Dogami-Sensei. It is worrying she has shown interest in Makoto but it doesn't seem to be as problematic as with Hagakure-Sensei and Yukizome-Sensei. But as far as a teacher goes she has moments of insecurity and is worried that I'm doing most of her job, however, when she's not in that mindset she does a......ugh.....FINE job. She does put in the work learning material like Hagakure-Sensei and Yukizome-Sensei but she also makes sure to be observant not just for the troublemakers like Taira and Iranami (Satsuki) but to also have an open door policy and help those who struggle. Although she still understandably relies on me to help her. Who wouldn't? <(￣︶￣)>

Rei: Fubuki-Sensei.....Hmmmm. Fubuki is a good teacher despite her looks. No nonsense. Takes her job seriously, and does everything by the books. Given that she has the unfortunate task of handling class 80-A, I'm surprised how receptive those knuckleheads are not only to her teachings but their willingness to open up to her. As a former lucky student, I can't help but wonder if this is a byproduct of her talent, but still like Dogami-Sensei it helps to have a teacher who isn't obsessive over Makoto and knows general education surprisingly well. Yet, admittedly there's something off about Fubuki-Sensei. She seems to be more than meets the eye and even though she has an off-putting appearance she has compassion. In short, her true goals are a mystery to me if she has any, to begin with. Regardless, she passes but given that the bar is as low as the ankles I suppose it's not much of a feat.

Rei: Musashi-Sensei. Ughhhh. (╬≖_≖)(╬≖_≖)(╬≖_≖) Let me start with the positives and this will be brief. Musashi-Sensei is......determined. This does mean that she excels with her material because she has shown an incredible level of research and dedication to teaching. Not surprising given how she's a movie director, part of the job I suppose. Let's start with the negatives. (╬ಠ益ಠ) Class 80-B is a problematic bunch and Musashi-Sensei is....also very determined and headstrong in the wrong ways! Not only does she have a fascination with Makoto like Hagakure and Yukizome-Sensei but given her nature as a director, she seems to value only her opinion! Teachers must be sensitive to the needs of the students!!! Do not misunderstand me. She does have great leadership qualities and knows how to take charge, especially during tense moments but she needs to stop being so goal driven at the expense of all else. (╬ಠ益ಠ)(╬ಠ益ಠ)(╬ಠ益ಠ) This includes trying to undermine my position as Makoto's tutor!

Rei: (╬≖_≖) Ah yes. The four stooges. Well, I'll get this out of the way. I do not trust any of them around Makoto especially Shibuya (Ariana) and Akiyama-sensei (Izumi). Nakano (Mitsuru) and Suzuki-Sensei (Yukiko) seem to be decent. As far as teachers go, I will admit when it comes to their specific subjects they are great. General education seems to be a bit weak for them and they each struggle with finding their own style when it comes to teaching. Despite their own shortcomings they do tend to be there for students at the most unexpected times. I'll put them above Hagakure, Yukizome, and Musashi-Sensei but below Okoshi-Sensei.

Rei: Yoruzu-Sensei. Or rather "Sensei". (╬≖_≖)(╬≖_≖)(╬≖_≖) Another teacher who needs to be on probation. As far as a teacher goes, she surprisingly goes above and beyond which is necessary for the reserve course given how as I was told they were formerly segregated from the main course. Despite her "hands-on" nature which I've filed a complaint to the headmaster about regarding Makoto, I must admit she did a good job trying to foster a positive nature under the circumstances she and her class were under. Many teachers from what I've been told were pretty disinterested and crummy. Her specialties definitely revolve more so around General Ed than anything specific but that's more of a positive than a negative. Just keep her on probation and she is fine. (╬≖_≖)

Rei: Uozumi-Sensei is interesting. She's....different. I can't quite place my finger on it but I have a feeling she's not just a teacher. Her knowledge of Finances and electives is surprisingly great even if she's the complete opposite of Yozuru-Sensei in terms of general education. Despite her coldness, she is overly protective of her students and fosters confidence in her students. Yes. Uozumi-Sensei is a good teacher and not problematic as some of the others although she is definitely hiding something. I've noticed her interactions with Kirigiri. Hmmmmm

Rei: (╬ಠ益ಠ)(╬ಠ益ಠ)(╬ಠ益ಠ)(╬ಠ益ಠ)(╬ಠ益ಠ) I've saved the worst for last. Shimizu-san..... She isn't a teacher but yet despite her cheery and bright facade, make no mistake this vile woman is the complete opposite. I've seen how she looks at Makoto and while that's not necessarily unique, her interest in Parasites and true personality reminds me a lot of Tsumiki. Terrible person. We're done!

There was some excellent silliness during the penguin game Bread and Fred including but not limited to: penguin boys, dead air, lots of communication needed, little dab will do ya, spicy!, would you like to grab?, still cannot identify that voice, hmmmmmm, pretty close, winch me, Einstein to The Chuckle Brothers, grab the nubbin, swing job, flesh colored body suit, the tension, little pissy flag, palm of your what?, this is the one, weeeeeee, Tim's inventive swearing, governess and remembering, communication game about communication, little pig boys, windicator, donkey fear, telepalathically, its a toughy, quite windy, More inventive swearing (after 11 minutes), its a swinger!, so sweaty and definitely coordinated.

YEAHHHHHH THANK YOU FOR THE ASK, MY DEAR

2. Why'd you choose your OC's name?

Sooooo in HL itself, she’s Zip Findlesnap, named after my short-lived Hogwarts Mystery character. I wasn’t taking it super seriously, so I came up with the first silly Game Grumps-style name that came to my mind.

Anyway, I had no idea I would get into HL the way I did, so I just copied Zip into HL. Eventually I realized that as funny and cute as her name was, I needed something else that fit the tone of my worldbuilding a little better lol. So now, Zip is just a nickname her little sister came up with when she was a baby who couldn’t really grasp her siblings’ names. Isabel seems like a reasonable name for someone whose nickname is Zip. Thankfully I have never had anyone draw comparisons between her and Isabelle from animal crossing (greatest fear /hj). I couldn’t bring myself to change Findlesnap, so that’s still her maiden name lol.

The Greymoore surname came after ~3 painful hours of researching traditional English names. I wanted something that had some meaning behind it. “Grey” is just an elegant-sounding reference to their subdued state as adults, and a sorta abstract foil to the House of Black, figuratively diluting the ancient families’ mix of xenophobic ideals and inbred bloodlines the same way grey is a dilution of the color black. “Moore” just refers to the moors surrounding Hogwarts on which Isabel and Ominis frequently adventured and bonded as students lol.

13. What's the worst thing your OC's ever done?

This one is tough, ooh. Casting unforgivables is pretty bad since it’s Azkaban-worthy—and because she’s an adult who definitely knows better and doesn’t have the excuse of underdeveloped teenager brain like what one could argue for Sebastian. She’s really ashamed of it. It happens in moments of great weakness while in service to the Ministry of Magic. She could be any combination of sleep-deprived, angry at the fact they have to do favors for the Ministry if they want continued protection from the Gaunts, or reacting to someone who physically hurt Ominis. She’s managed to hide it from Ominis, and it’s her darkest secret. She isn’t sure their marriage could survive if he ever found out she was hiding something like that from him. At the very least, she would become like a stranger to him and he would feel really deep betrayal. Her usage of unforgivables decreased a lot throughout her 20s, and the last time was when she was 31.

15. What item does your OC hold most dear?

I’ve never thought about this one, hmmmmmm. As a teenager, probably Isabel’s wand. She was under the impression she was a squib until she was 15, so it means an incredible amount that she actually has magical abilities. Her wand is the physical representation of the freedom she gained at 15.

It’s pretty dang corny, but as an adult I have to say her wedding ring. They might have their arguments and disagreements like any other couple, but Isabel and Ominis are just so closely bonded and so in love their whole lives, and they would both be in a pretty bad spot without each other. I think a very close second for her would be the 1925-ish Daily Prophet issue announcing Morfin Gaunt’s assault on Bob Ogden and subsequent arrest, in which the article went into detail on how Morfin and his immediate family were the only known Gaunts left alive. It meant she and Ominis no longer felt the need for outside help with protection, and they dissolved their agreement with the Ministry. She finally felt like she and Ominis could lead normal lives, and they re-entered wizarding society after having mostly withdrawn for the past 30 years. Their children and grandchildren were pretty happy about finally being able to do things like have wizarding world jobs, meet with non-muggle friends outside Hogwarts and go to Diagon Alley without undercover aurors monitoring them at all times and telling them where they could or couldn’t go.

21. Is your OC big on revenge?

Isabel used to want to seek revenge for a number of things, but after she and Ominis started having kids, her world view shifted drastically and she became focused on preservation of herself and her family instead. Her children were never caught in the crossfire of the Gaunts’ attempts to attack them, but she was no longer willing to take risks that might have put her family in danger, including seeking revenge. She sometimes wishes her parents-in-law were still alive so she could make them pay for all the ways in which they irreparably hurt Ominis, but she also knows Ominis has never liked the idea of getting revenge on his parents.

35. Random fact about your OC

Isabel doesn't do well with loneliness. In fact, being alone is one of her biggest fears. As she often felt caught between the muggle world and the wizarding world when she began attending Hogwarts, there was a time when she felt extremely out of place in both worlds and actually wanted to go back to believing she was a squib. Being alone was also what got her kidnapped by Rookwood, so she became especially careful of wandering into deserted places for a long time afterwards. As an adult, old habits died hard and she feels better when she has Ominis, her best friend Poppy, or her children with her when she travels someplace new.

50. What do you love and hate most about your OC?

I most love that Isabel is so focused and dedicated. She gives 120% to everything she feels is worthy of her attention, from school to her marriage. She’s ridiculously patient with Ominis as he heals a little more every day, and being married to someone with such a significant handicap, especially back in the days long before most people were willing to accommodate anyone with total blindness, I think says a lot about her character.

I guess hate isn't really the right word because I've lovingly crafted her exactly the way I want, but she has a lot of self-destructive tendencies that don't have any positive impact in her life, including the use of unforgivables as an adult. Probably because I’m usually projecting onto her when I write her being self-destructive lol. Sometimes she’s a bit too impulsive and indifferent to danger, like wanting to fight literally every single member of the house of Gaunt just to defend Ominis and being overly casual about nearly bleeding out, and wondering why Ominis gets so frustrated with her. She wants to demonstrate she’s strong and has overcome her trauma from being kidnapped by Rookwood and being cursed with crucio by Ominis’ mother, but it often comes off like she doesn’t care about her physical wellbeing or Ominis’ feelings.
