Going to be honest, got a bit lazy around here lol. Listen this was a 38 hour undertaking, I got a bit tired towards the end.

Duncan as August, the bad boy hothead that's probably not as cool as he thinks he is. (No romance plot with Kitty, he just treats her like a little sister so still feels betrayed by being conned but yeah) And Heather as Vallory, the ruthless Queen Bee not afraid to get her hands dirty.

Justin of course as Hugo Vasquez (Is this a joke about fans calling Alejandro a superior version of Justin? Maybe.) Also the weird thrown away plot point about Noah and Justin being hinted at of not liking each other? I feel like we could capitalize on that. And Izzy! :] Who else is perfect in the role of Shade? Even down to them both being gingers lmfao!

u and I go way back to onceler fandom so I shall start with saying I just love Norma so so much and I wished she got a better treatment from fandom. I just think she's such a fun character, she's spunky and full of character, she has so much potential to explore both in her old age and as younger. u don't even have to ship her with Once-ler, just see Norma as her own character, how fun she can be while interacting with other (writing Norma and Lorax interactions is super fun)

and while taking abt blands there are so many aaaa I love Yvette, I love Tyreen but since I just rbd Vasquez art I wanna talk abt Vasquez lol

cause he is SO GOOD I think he's hilarious in his cringy way, the way he carries himself and how he believes everything Hyperion tells him. he's a fantastic villain, one of my favorites. like I genuinely feel he's a fantastic foil to Rhys with his willingness to die for Hyperion to prove he's right. he's ruthless, he belittles everyone. also he's played by Patrick Warburton, literally what else do u need

 Through pandemics / zoom meetings / really short visits to @maripari9 studio in VA. Glad to see it in New York (@cueart )and Kassel at the same time. (@documentafifteen )  

Repost @maripari9 “En Función del Interes Nacional” (In Function of National Interest) made in collaboration with @vasquezlaroche is a series of six screen printed light boxes. 

These two are currently up on view at @cueart until September 2nd! The screen-printed surfaces depict iconic logos from Venezuelan companies that were expropriated during the regime of the former president of Venezuela Hugo Chavez and current President Nicolas Maduro. 

Through the works, we consider the way that products and their branding are an integral part of national identity as it has been built over the past few decades. Through the use of cardboard, we make reference to the distribution of products, particularly to the way many of these Venezuelan goods are no longer made in Venezuela and many Venezuelans travel to other countries to find traditionally Venezuelan products. On top of the screen printed logos are laser cutouts of images of Simon Bolivar, known as the liberator. 

The images are taken from Venezuelan currency called the Bolívar which has reached record-breaking high levels of inflation. Seen as a series, racialized differences in the representations of Simon Bolivar become apparent. His image and association with liberty are used as a political tool for garnering support. 

Multimedia components including LED taxi/rideshare lights reading “libre” (free), can be seen through the cutouts in the cardboard. Through their various layers, the works draw connections between the use of the notion of liberty as a political tool from the colonial times of Simon Bolivar all the way to contemporary times of globalized neoliberal markets and economies. They ask audiences to consider the meaning of and access to liberty and authoritarianism across political spectrums.

Timothy didn’t mind his job. He just minded the mess.

Locked in some public restroom he scrubbed his hands clean. At this point he should be used to the mess, however the way blood got underneath his fingertips was too annoying not to take care of. Only because he forgot he was supposed to rob the guy before he killed him. Hence he stood there, the rose scented soap working its magic. At least he would smell good afterwards. Which wasn’t always the case.

Taking a hefty amount of water in his hands, he splashed his face around a little. Timothy took a good look at his face. Then he sighed. Same old, same old, same old everything he hated. Even after all this time.

It’s been a pretty long time since he went back to this city. Spending most of last year working around in the casinos of Las Vegas, Timothy truly never expected to be back. A convoluted story his life was, really. First he does some business with his CEO twin brother, then said brother sends him and his best friend on a mission to take care of his casinos. For the casinos to, of course, be overtaken by some of his brother’s goons who turned against him. And blamed Timothy since, well, he and his brother were almost identical, save for Timothy’s freckles and gaping scar across his face. Which started several long years of Timothy’s life, fixing up the messes. Especially with bloodthirsty fuckos that he was seeing on the daily. The usual.

Now he finally came back. Dealing with all the problems, he came back only to see his brother’s business grow exponentially. Shiny buildings and big areas. It was a thing to behold for sure. Just that his brother didn’t change at all and seemingly got even worse. And back home Timothy had only one thing to do – be the hired gun for that company.
