Guys I keep dredging up old Renfield articles by people who got to visit the set and I am MAKING A FORMAL DEMAND THAT UNIVERSAL RELEASE THE DIRECTOR'S CUT AND/ OR THE REST OF THE DELETED SCENES I AM B E G G I N G

Stuff I pulled from this article. My commentary in parenthesis.

"The role of Dracula has to be played like a movie star, with charisma that makes us understand why people like Renfield would want to follow him around for nearly a century." (Okay but they were also in love. For a bit.)

"Dracula and Renfield have been on the run from vampire hunters for the last 70 years." (SO WAIT DID THEY HAVE TWO DECADES OF CHILL TIMES BEFORE ANYONE CAUGHT WIND OF VAMPIRE HAPPENINGS AND SET OUT TO KILL THEM?)

"The mobster Lobo family has been involved in criminal enterprises in New Orleans since the 17th century, and for a mural that showcases the Lobo family history, Hammond originally planned on hiding hundreds of wolf heads within the image." (WHAAAAAAT)

GIVE IT TO ME!!!!!!! Like I know the director said that, like Lego Batman, this Dracula was going to be THE Dracula, from Bela Lugosi to Gerard Butler, but I wanna see it!)

"The opening has Dracula being attacked in his library room by Van Helsing and priests" (VAN HELSING?!?! No wonder he knew Renfield's name... Oh, wow...)

"We also were able to tour the hallway that Hoult was running down, full of fire, dead bodies, and blood. Again, the attention to detail was immaculate in the sets, and through the hallway and the library room, we can see centuries of Dracula’s life being told simply through the set design. Items that were once regal and impressive are now covered in dust and left in tatters. You can feel the centuries of age on Dracula’s possessions, and the wear that must’ve occurred on these items in the trek from Europe to New Orleans." (Just give the set designers and prop makers all the awards)

And I saw it mentioned in the article and elsewhere- Fangoria, I think- but Apache Joe had a backstory and his mask is made out of the tongues of his victims

Anyway, I want a production book for this fucking movie. I want a novelisation. I want a 4K UHD Halloween re-release director's cut. I want a line of shirts from Fright Rags. I want this to be a cult classic. I love Renfield so fucking much you guys ;-;

The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997, Steven Spielberg)

The Lost World: Jurassic Park is a 1997 film directed by Steven Spielberg, sequel to Jurassic Park and inspired by the novel The Lost World by Michael Crichton.

The franchise continued with Jurassic Park III (2001), Jurassic World (2015), Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018) and Jurassic World Dominion (2022).

Four years have passed since the dramatic events at Jurassic Park. Professor Ian Malcolm, one of the survivors, is contacted again by the now ex-head of InGen, John Hammond, and informed that Isla Nublar, the place where the park stood, was in reality just a showcase for tourists. In fact, the prehistoric creatures were actually created on nearby Isla Sorna, the so-called "Site B" where, following the destruction of the fences caused by the hurricane called Clarissa, they were able to escape from their cages and live undisturbed without the whole world knowing, but now the target of her greedy and corrupt nephew, Peter Ludlow, eager to plunder her to recreate a "city Jurassic Park" in San Diego. At first Malcolm, knowing the very high risks, declines the proposal but, discovering that his girlfriend, the paleontologist Sarah Harding, has already gone to the place, he decides to leave immediately to bring her back, aided by the photographer Nick Van Owen and the engineer Eddie Carr.

Not long after Peter Ludlow, together with a team of hunters led by Roland Tembo, arrives on Isla Sorna to begin the capture of some dinosaurs and in particular, an adult male specimen of Tyrannosaurus rex.

After a day's march, Dieter Stark, Tembo's deputy, loses his life in the jungle, devoured alive by the small Compsognathus and that same night the camp is attacked by T-Rexes, attracted by the smell of the puppy's blood left impregnated on the jacket by Sarah. In the general escape, the hunting team crosses an expanse of tall grass falling victim to an ambush by seven Velociraptors; despite this, Ian, Sarah, Nick and Kelly manage to reach the communications center, where Nick requests reinforcements from the mainland while the others have to deal with the Raptors.

Jeff Goldblum is Professor Ian Malcolm: a mathematician expert in chaos theory. He is, together with Hammond (and with the exception of the children, who only appear in a brief cameo), the only main character from the first chapter to also reappear in the sequel. At the end of the first film, Malcolm managed to escape from Isla Nublar, and during these four years he revealed the facts of Jurassic Park to the public.

Julianne Moore is Dr. Sarah Harding, Ian Malcolm's girlfriend.

PSA for those who are confused on why we're freaking out about Celia

MASSIVE SPOLIER WARNING FOR THE MAGNUS ARCHIVES, IF YOU'RE ENJOYING PROTOCOL, GO LISTEN TO ARCHIVES

Now that that's out of the way, for those not in the know and willing to be spoiled, Celia was introduced in episode 100 as Lynne Hammond, afterwards, she wouldn't be seen again until the world ended in Season 5, where she would lose her name.

We meet back up with her when John and Martin (Chester and Norris we think) where she gave herself the name Celia, and is with a cult based around two important characters, Melanie King (a ghost hunter turned Magnus Institute employee, and 2nd person to ever quit the archives (she did this by blinding herself, literally, with a book awl)), and Georgina Barker (podcast runner, and an employee of the Magnus Institute, who can't feel fear)

The reason for this cult is too off topic to go over

The reason why this is all important, is because in the 2 episodes where Celia has been around, she brings up using tape recorders for work (that's how Archives worked), ask about cases where being buried alive or meat is prominent (2 of the Fears, the Buried and the Flesh respectively, with the Fears being the main cause of everything in Archives), recognizes Norris's voice (who is played by the same person who voiced Martin, and we've been guessing that Norris is Martin just stuck in the computer), and is looking into time travel, other universes, and teleportation (Archives ended with the fears being dragged back in-between dimensions, and Protocol takes place in a different universe than Archives as far as we can tell), and explains it away by saying it's for "Georgie," the nickname for Georgina Barker, who was the head of the cult Celia was a part of.

TL;DR, Celia is from Magnus Archives, and by all rights, she shouldn't be in Protocol. Along with that, she clearly remembers things that happened in Archives, when no one else does.
