In the end he was taken away and you were left crying, cruel had already left, and it was then that you were truly alone.

The carriage ride home was empty the usual giddiness gone, you didn't even know when you got home, it was as if everything just blended together.

the narrative that max can’t be described as one of the best simply because his teammates haven’t been as good as him sits so weirdly with me.

like seeing people talking about the calibre of lewis’ teammates against max’s and using it as a reason to discredit max is so wild to me

max is a beast in the car and you don’t have to like him to acknowledge that fact. objectively, he is so talented and the fact that his teammates haven’t been able to match him should prove that more.

it also completely discredits people like daniel, who prior to being teammates with max, out-performed seb, and was accepted as a brilliant new young talent. the reason red bull were not able to give max a better teammate in pierre and alex was because they simply were not prepared for daniel to leave the team and were not ready to replace him. and those drivers were not ready to compete in a top team yet.

now they have checo, who is clearly experienced, and certainly not a bad driver by any means, but he still is not matching max. because max is simply that good.
