Analysis below. I'm working from the end to the beginning because I said so.

This is the end..chorus? Christ I'm in choir I should know this. Anyways, something about this just screams his mental state. Not all of it, but a lot of it. It showcases how he's both a huge ass egoist and extremely self loathing. Him just knowing he's destroying himself and that he's going bonkers, but also fully deluding himself into thinking that he IS God and is untouchable when in reality he will break any moment now. It also ties into the irony of the title Pyrite girl, which is also known as "fools gold" due to being mistaken as gold for its colour. His "shield of gold" is really a fake protector.

Him putting up protective emotional walls so he does not get attatched again. Probably after Diane's death, and possibly also from being betrayed by Prime in their partnership/relationship? I'm unsure where their relation to eachother will actually lead canonically but I've read some interesting theory posts and it's got me convinced a lil bit so I'm adding this.

He oh so badly wants to be understood and comforted but he doesn't have anyone anymore because they all either left or betrayed him. (Let's push Squanchy and BP aside for the sake of convenience I'm tired) and this will soon turn into a need to hide the vulnerable parts of himself away.

Ricks response to Prime's betrayl, "you left me covered in gold" implying that Rick is the reason he is the way he is today. His anger is new but so is his grief, and it hits so very hard. ("don't you try me! Don't take it lightly!" And "I'm broken, yet somehow, still alive.")

"I've been pulverized for the past five thousand five hundred days." References his endless hunt for Prime. It's exhausting and killing him so badly, example "you shattered my mind one thousand times.", but he's counting every single day to torture himself because he can't keep failing his family. This can also be backed by how the AI in his old house taunts him so horribly, and he even fucked with the time in that dimension just so he could suffer and continue to look with a constant agonizing reminder.

This mainly just reminds me of all the enemies and allies he's made but there's also an actual point here. The people in his life that love him want to try and fix him in their own way. People like Birdperson and Morty. Probably even short term partners, not-seen-in-canon-friends, and probably Unity too when it broke things off. It realized it could not fix someone that wants to stay broken. And Rick does need support, he needs his big support system because he's been so lonely for so long. But without him putting the work in himself, not much can be done. I actually read a fanfiction where Unity had used some sort of mind control to make Rick pass out before he killed himself, and I think that was really smart but also sad. It knows it can't jeopardize it's own health to be around him, he is toxic and infectious like the plague. He seeps into every person around him to survive, but it sees the humanity in him.

In conclusion, the song can be seen as Ricks fall into...himself. or a fake self, someone he shouldn't have been. You can also just think all of this is bullshit and that's okay too. This song is really good and it's story is both a thinker and easy to place at the same time! I hope I made sense and that my tired almost-4-AM brain didn't make you want to retake kindergarten. Honestly my list will probably change as a continue watching the shows and read the comics but here it is so far:

5) TFA Lockdown

Must I even explain this,HAVE YOU SEEN THAT MAN. He’s got one of the most unique designs I’ve seen for mecha in the TFA universe AND he’s got a really interesting open-ended backstory which only makes me love him more. In art/writing, you can do SO MUCH with him because of that, PLUS his voice is 13/10 so

4) TFP Wheeljack

I’ve always loved Wheeljack bc he’s got a wonky design w those finials. From the few clips I’ve seen of G1 I IMMEDIATLEY became attatched to him bc (dont get me wrong  I LOVE this dude) he looked so so stupid. And then I found out he was in TFP and actually kinda rocked the whole old and grizzled crackheaded uncle look and WOWIE. What really drew me into his TFP version is the fact that he is the perfect combination of smartass, dumbass, and badassery. I just loved how chill he was in almost any situation, just throw a few grenades, do some sick samurai moves, take out a few cons with your thighs, NO BIG DEAL he just went for it and honestly what a king.

3) TFA Blitzwing

He’s a big strong schnitzel who is basically three boyfriends in one,what's not to love?????? He was the first character I became attached to when I first started watching TFA, I think it was his design (I adore any character who kinda looks like a pilot, I don’t know why I just DO) and the fact that I haven't seen any other continuities utilize triple changers in the way TFA did. Plus, I thought he was funny and cute,,,,and then I found the fanart. KNOW I WILL ONLY EVER SEE HIM AS SASSY AND REALLY FUKING SEXY ANDGHHHHHHHHHIKVBKVKL

2) TFA Optimus Prime

I’ve said this at least a billion times already but I swear, TFA did a FANTASTIC job on flipping the whole deity-like stance on what it meant to be a ‘prime’. 

Rather than making Optimus the baritone and unbreakable leader as we normally see him in other continuities, TFA made him a learning and growing imperfect leader who allowed the audience to see his journey into becoming one of the strongest characters on the show. Optimus had WONDERFUL range in the show when it came to him fixing his mistakes, owning up to his decisions, taking the lead in spur of the moment circumstances, and showing little moments of weakness.

 I guess what I kind of mean by that is I'm so unbelievably grateful that TFA gave us someone to look up to that we could relate to in a way of someone going through life figuring things out as they go, standing up for what they believe in and doing what they know in their gut is right, AND showing that things still can workout even if you have to diverge from your original path. I love TFA Op because he gave people a chance to see an amazingly written coming-of-age stance of what it means to be a strong and respected leader. PLUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HIS LIPS. SIR HAD NO RIGHT LOOKING THAT GOOD BUT OHHMYGOD 

1 ) IDW Overlord

Overlord as a person (or both I guess in this case)  is literally one of the worst hearted characters in all of Transformers, but it's the way that he’s characterized and designed that makes him my favorite. Very very rarely have I seen in writing/films a character that shows absolutely ZERO redeeming qualities or moments that can’t allow the audience see them as someone who falls on both sides of the scale for reasoning behind their HORRIBLE actions. 

To me, that is a huge deal because I'm possibly one the most emotional person I know, and I am always trying to find some sort of logic and understanding behind the actions of others that can help me figure out how/why someone could act so cruel. 

When I do come across a character who I have not a single ounce of empathy for, I’m completely blown away and can only become THAT MUCH MORE fascinated by the character. In Transformers, that character is Overlord. He’s undeniably transparent in his self interest that I’m completely in love with the way he was written. I guess the simple reason why I love his character so much is because he’s so black and white, that I can’t fight to find any form of positive qualities I can see in his character, which again, IS REALLY HARD FOR ME TO DO.

Now on his design,,,,,holy.fuck. I’m telling you,it’s the lipsIM WEAK. that and he's a big and blue bully who has a nice color scheme and he's big and huge and did I mention he's GIGANTIC??

Idea 2 - Research & Concepts -3rd January 2021

For my second E4 sting idea, and most likely my third as well, I have decided to tone back my research just a little, since they both largely draw from personal inference, or just general knowledge. I will still conduct thorough research into the things I feel require it, however for these ideas, I do think the merit more comes from the presentation of the art and concepts I create.

Below are the different corners and things I drew inspiration from for my paintball idea, that all led me to the concept art seen at the end of the blog:

Previous Stings

I won’t be posting much here about this since I have already produced a large segment on E4 stings earlier in the blog, but its safe to say I have been inspired by the grungy, snappy ideas people have come up with in the past, and largely, the colours they have opted to use, which almost never go below vibrant.

Paintballing

Paintballing is a really fun thing to do, personally I would consider it a sport, and one of the best at that, and it seems pop culture recognises that too. There are a lot of pieces of media that tackle paintballing, but one of my personal favourites is Splatoon, the game franchise created by Nintendo. This game, on top of being massively addictive, is gorgeous to look at, and plays around with some really interesting concepts, that make painting even more fun, especially to an artist. Additionally, the colours are just stunning, something that has certainly probed me on to make colour a prime feature.

Painting

Perhaps I should have prefaced the entire blog entry with a simple fact - I love painting. I may not do it as much as I used to, but painting has been my entire life for a long long time, and it’s such an outlet for me in many ways. It’s always held such a high regard in my personal life and educational history, that I feel it important to include as a main theme in my work from time to time, and if not now, then definitely in the future. Painting itself is such a broad hobby, that it can be stretched into nearly anything, a fitting feature for an E4 Sting. The picture below is one of my own paintings.

Concept Art

2A - This concept sheet displays the only developed character of the entire sting idea, a young boy, who likes to consider himself a pro at paintballing. I wanted to emphasize the sharp lines here, as well as the unsaturatedness of his outfit, to contrast with the bright paint colours that he would be splatted with. Also, his sleek and simple design makes moving and posing him a lot easier, especially with the context of a 30 second animation. His paintball weapon there was actually modelled after a hair dryer, because I just thought the shape was interesting, and with the hair and posing of the main image, he is meant to look suave, and almost dreamy, think teenage heartthrob. This makes it all the more amusing when he is splatted with paint.

2B - This concept sheet is just about colour and the potential shapes and styles in which the paint could fall, since there really wasn’t much else at a base level to be concepting. Because I hold colour in such a high regard with this particular sting idea, it deserved its own page of concepts. The bright colours would definitely be a mainstay, they look just too attractive to drop, and as for colour pallettes, the opportunities are nearly limitless, so this would be a fun task. Other than that, there really isn’t much else to say.

Overall, I do indeed like this idea, and I think it’s a strong potential sting pitch, I’m just not sure if its the one for me at the moment. Personally, I am still attatched to idea 1, since it also contains some heartfelt moments which I feel would be refreshing in an E4 sting. I won’t discredit this idea though, and I think it’s very strong.

Something changed after Jan 2014. Harry changed. Jeff more in the picture. Enter Kendall still hanging by. Minimal Larry interaction. Something happened. Harry's entire look and persona changed. I always thought it was the time that Harry matured and wasn't naive or wide eyed anymore.. More closed off before cameras. Maybe Larry also had some fights, obviously like any couple. What are your thoughts about it??

ok 2014. I've been meaning to make a masterpost about this so thanks for the question.

So 2014 was the Where We Are tour, and the boys were all severely overworked and it SHOWS. Niall lost weight, Louis and Harry both look starved, and Zayn is horrifyingly skinny.

They look on the verge of passing out during this entire interview especially Harry and Zayn.

Zayn was ~rumored to be~ struggling with a drug problem and anorexia during this time, and dealing with his own range of drama but I'll keep this on Harry/Larry.

Obviously an easy explaination for the decreased Larry interaction is that they were broken up. And its very possible they are/were an on again/off again couple and 2014 could have been an "off" period but 2014 is also when

Harry got the anchor corresponding with Louis' rope (January)

Harry gets the heart (February) and Louis gets the arrow (March)

The christ-the-redeemer trip where Harry and Louis are heard kissing in the bread van and this picture is taken where they seem like theyre holding hands (May)

Harry goes to Jay's wedding (July) and holds onto the wedding bracelet all the guests had for the rest of the year, even after it broke.

Louis gets the dagger (November).

Harry sings "Night Changes" directly at Louis during both the Graham Norton Show and the Royal Variety Show (December).

There are a lot of little things/speculation in between but these are the big things I think definitely prove they were still more or less "together" throughout the year. The months we saw virtually no Larry interaction at all were from end of May to End of October, with the major exception being Harry publicly attending Louis' mom's wedding.

It kind of seems like the wedding was a big deal to management (even though I don't think the fandom saw it as proof of anything as much as they were happy to see it happen). But it kind of seems like Louis and Harry had to pay the price for this one because there was a big eleanor presence in the month or so leading up to it whereas before she was barely seen all year apart from one publicized ski trip in February before WWA kicked off. But from the 1st of June until Jay's wedding on the 20th of July, she and Louis were papped twice in paris and once in portugal, she went to 5 or so concerts, she was spotted leaving his hotel twice, she was spotted eating lunch with Louis and Lottie, Louis attended her graduation, Louis took her out for her birthday, and *drumroll please* it was announced Eleanor would be Jay's maid of honor (she was actually just a bridesmaid so they played that one up for the media).

They also brought Paige back breifly in the days leading up to and after the wedding with her posting pics of herself in Harry's clothes on instagram, them attending a party together, them going out to lunch with jeff and the mirror reporting they were dating again.

Meanwhile apart from the stunting, the fandom as a whole was FREAKING TF OUT over the video that was "leaked" at the end of May of Louis and Zayn smoking weed (coincidendally two days after the European leg of WWA had started) and we were being bombarded with articles about bad boy Louis and Zayn, and how perfect 🥰 harry 👼🏼 was 😱 totally 😵 offended 👎🏼 and 😤 against 🙅🏻‍♂️ Louis 😖 and Zayn's 👿 drug addict 🤢 ways 😒.

This wasn't the first time we saw articles about Louis and Harry no longer being friends, but this was definitely a new angle that started to separate Harry and Louis because of an actual reason and it was the beginning of Harry's image being separated from the other boys.

As far as Kendall goes, Hendall seems to have wrapped up in Februrary and then she disappeared for the rest of the year in typical Harry-stunt fashion. Nothing strange there. And when he did hang out with her Jeff was always there. Harry's most prominent "relationship" in 2014 was actually Nadine which didn't even start until December.

Jeff and Harry were definitely attatched at the hip right from the beginning of January for sure. It's not unlike Harry to be like this with new friends though, and he was the same way with Grimmy during the years before.

Jeff is a special case too becuase he's very connected in the industry so I think Harry felt safe with him and it might have comforted Harry to have someone like that he could trust looking out for him. I think Jeff was maybe helping him navigate his way around the utter PR nightmare that was his public image too. He certainly had a lot less "womanizing" stunts in 2014. Jeff might have even been talking to him about taking a break from the band, since 2014 is supposedly when Harry suggested hiatus.

As far as Harry's "look" goes he's literally been changing it every single year. 2010-2011 was baggy pants abercrombie and jack wills. 2011-2012 was the blazers and bowties and the fetus harry hair. 2013 was take me home/fratboy harry. headscarf harry was 2013-2014 until he started wearing those fedoras, then that was his look for a while as his hair grew out and he started wearing the unbuttoned shirts and took on a more hipster/rockstar aesthetic. then he started with the floral shirts and the skin tight jeans leading up to the floral suits and it went from there. Like I said it's never been weird for Harry to completely change his look in a whim. We literally have grandpa harry now.

His persona changed too but really it's not that strange considering he was entering is 20s, 2013 had been hell for him and Louis, he was so overworked that he was probably getting burnt out on the positive side of his life (making music and performing) and starting to resent the negative side of it even more.

As far as being more closed off in interviews, he was probably sick of them since they all ask the same questions and there wasn't much he could say that he hadn't already said. At this point if he'd been in a relationship with Louis for four years then he wouldn't have many anecdotes or side interests that didnt involve Louis or their private life on some level so he might not have had much to talk about. Try to avoid saying "my boyfriend" when you're talking about your life after you've been together for years and years, it's not easy. And he obviously learned the hard way that every thing he says on camera will follow him forever so I think he forced himself to stay quiet rather than risk letting something slip.

In my opinion, overall things weren't really that odd during most of 2014 until november/december when they started Four promo. They were touring most of the year so their lives were pretty out of the spotlight apart from the occasional stunting and Harry hanging out with Jeff in his free time. The changes we saw were typical of someone his position.

I think there were some power struggles behind the scenes based off their little rebellions during WWA ("i have a secret", refusing to deny larry twice when asked directly if there were rumors they wanted to clear up) and 2014 is when RBB started (though i think it was just for fun at the time). Jeff might have been encouraging Harry to stand up for himself against his management or at least teaching him that he didn't have to take everything lying down and he did actually have some leverage.

Jeff also might even have been priming him to go solo and if Louis and the boys suspected Harry was being eyeballed for a solo break out there might have been some tension and I'm sure Louis at least thought that's what was going on. But I don't think it's something they would have broken up over considering at the end of the day Louis has always been supportive of Harry.

I will say that 2015 was one crisis after another though and i think at the end of 2014 we saw that ball start rolling because all the boys looked strung out for the majority of Four promo and Harry was kind of being rebellious as far as maintaining his hetero image with comments like "not that important" and "dont knock it til you try it".

Anyways thats my thoughts on it. I am intoerested to know what you think changed though ?

Sorry some of these stew for a bit. Shockwave/Longarm is a difficult character for me, so i really am winging it. Im sure Shockwave comes more frequently than his disguise, so imma wait on Shockwave till later. Lets get started!

I see him as a switch. Depending on who hes with. With (some)autobots, he prefers to top. Like if he were to frag someone in his platoon, like Ironhide, he'd make them his bitch. If it was a sort of high ranking decepticon or autobot, i feel like he'd be more willing to bottom. He has so much respect for scientists, hed be willing to offer himself to someone like Percy.

If he ends up being a bottom, you'd be lucky. Hes THICK. As a bottom, he prefers it from behind, you wrapping his arms around him, and just pounding in his port. Seriously. It gets him excited, having a younger bot just humping him like a turbo fox in heat.

Also he definitely jerks off to Megatron if no one is available. Lets face it everyone is just trying to get Megan-senpai's attention. Longarm loves the risk of getting caught of jerking off to a few pictures of Megatron.

He loves it when tiny autobots say they trust him. He gets off on knowing the autobots will be crushed under the decepticon heel one day. So the more romantically attatched an autobot is to him, the more likely he'll bust a nut.

Now that he's a prime, he gets off more on the controlling aspect of his job. Knowing the autobots are already prey to him is just wonderful.

Cliffjumper has serviced him before. I just feel like tfa Cliffjumper is the resident slut, who gives you a blowjob to keep...well, his job. Longarm has definitely pushed his face deep into his valve folds

He knows young cadets thirst after him sometimes. He tracks down their data pad contact info, and sends them naughty things, telling them to keep it a secret

Longarm gets off on secrets. You really want to make him purr? Give it to him in berth. Hand around his throat, pounding quickly into that valve, and tell him a secret. As long as its something you're clearly hesitant in telling, he's into it.

🌠🌠🌠 (01) What if Brian’s presence somehow enhances one’s powers? That’s why he’s always being chased by spirits or other beings and bad witches want him for this and when they can’t have him they want to kill him? (you’d appreciated the extra layer of angst? XD Like do you want me because you truly love me or do you want me because of my Gift that would greatly benefit your own power)

That could potentially be a result because witches that work with spirits because they’re opening up liminal spaces. Not that Brian is aware of it, and is doing it mostly incidentally which is how some nastier spirits get attatched to him and cause some of Brian’s problems.

He does have that moment once or twice, once he figures out how all of this workes.

(02) What hex or spell do you think the witch (or the evil coven? For dramatic movie rivalry effect between sides LOL) cast to kill him? Something related to the hepatitis and ulcer? Disease or other stuffs? (I can’t help but think about the CW TV Series Supernatural witches have so many creative ways of killing someone through hexes, spells and curses)

So I don’t have any names yet, because I am Bad at them. The curse that I currently have in mind is that it’s kind of a paralyzation hex? Like when Brian gets hit with it, it moves more central, so he looses the ability to move and then eventually the ability to speak and eventually breathe.

(03) Imagine how distressed Brian would be because he loves Astronomy and stargazing but during night is always the most dangerous to him? However after meeting the other three they’re always with him (or at least one of them) especially at night? Dragging him out for drinks and all the other fun stuffs that Brian seems to be missing out on. (Freddie will ruffle his hair playfully saying something like you’re safe with us darling we’ll look after you and wink at him but he figures they just want to see him blush so yeah all the usual good old oblivious Brian trope LOL)

Bless oblivious Brian. The insomnia as a kid is what half inspired him to love the stars, because that’s all he’d have to stare at during those long nights. It’s also when those Things He Doesn’t See (his mother’s words) circle around him.

The other three naturally realize what Night means, and how it can affect an untrained Witch especially one that has a Gift like Brian’s. Roger is the one that tends to keep near Brian during the night because he’s simply the best at unnoticable protection charms. And he usually makes a big show of getting into disagreements when he senses that something is Wrong. Because Brian suddenly has a mood drop or John actually feels some kind of spirit (which tend to stay away from him because the dead can’t cross running water).

(04) I imagine the three sometimes turn themselves into animals like cats (witches are so often associated with cats and ravens etc. you know all that) to keep Brian company and to warn off evil beings around him like he’s ours back the fuck off?

Close! They actually use their familiars! Roger’s and Freddie’s are both cats (Roger’s is a maine coon, and Freddie’s is a very sleek looking calico), and Brian usually has to pick them up and put them in the house because “no, kitty, you can’t go to class with me!”

Meanwhile they’re like “dude.”

John’s is usually the one that keeps the best eye on Brian given that it’s a kestrel. She also isn’t fond of Brian because he keeps closing her window! How dare he!

John hasn’t quite managed to convinence her that it’s on accident because Brian doesn’t feel that she’s just not another Bird.

(05) Maybe one night Brian’s having “sleep paralysis” only this time the pressure gets heavier and heavier and help now he can’t breath and he’s panicking but can’t do a thing can’t move a muscle when suddenly he heard a low but cold voice speaking some language (Latin? But not quite there’s an extra edge to it) beside his bed but he can’t understand a word and the pressure just vanished like that. He whines low in his throat and struggles to move and tries to open his eyes but he’s suddenly very groggy and tired and then he felt gentle hands caressing his face and carding through his hair effectively soothing him and the voice is now crooning sweetly, calming him by saying things like you’re safe love sleep now and when he’s about to fall asleep the hands left that’s when he heard at least three different voices conversing with each other outside maybe? One sound worried, one sound furious and the last one seems to be thinking about something but they’re all speaking in some kind of language that he doesn’t understand.

Okay, I dig, I see what you’re doing here nonnie. 

So this is probably when Roger, John, and Freddie kind of figure out there’s something out there trying to get Brian because Drudes (nightmare demons from Germanic folklore) don’t just take a walk about on the prime material plane. Much less someone who isn’t having a nightmare.

Roger is furious, because after chasing the damned Drude away he checked his seals and found that his demonic protection one has been inverted and draws demons to them. He’s screaming his head off, because he doesn’t know why or how some one would know.

Freddie is just worried because Brian hadn’t reacted to it the way anyone else should have. Almost like he accepted that this was a thing that happened and not a literal demon eating his life force.

John is trying to figure out how the Drude got in on the first place, after Roger found out the seal, and why it would come for Brian directly. Freddie’s got the most “magic” out of the four of them, Brian’s being so tightly wrapped away. Maybe Brian is just awakening his powers and because of his Gift the Drude noticed. But Roger is right, Drudes don’t just come on this plane without cause.

Meanwhile, Brian is out cold/out of it for the next 16 hours because the Drude did get a good grip on Bri’s life force before the other three noticed. Which naturally makes the others clingy for like the next month. Roger keeps forcing his weird wood crafting hobbies into Brian’s bag, and John is always hanging around the physics building and Freddie is painting a really weird thing on the wall. Which kind of makes them look like satanists.

(06) Following no. (05) do you think witches have their own languages akin to Latin but maybe they’re some kind of variation? Also will there be different dialects based on uses, regions and powers?

They all have different casting languages, yes! Most are based on latin, while eastern witches tend to stick with very old forms of their countries languages (e.g chinese with china, Hindi). Some are actually symbol based, which Freddie is very adept at because it gives the most versatility.

(07) And you know like in horror movies how people are with Ouija boards and summoning rituals? Brian of course never participates he avoids most supernatural related stuffs like plague but maybe growing up his encounters people who do those type of stuff for fun and he’s kind hearted not wanting them to be in danger so he’d try to dissuade or stop them but once the spirits or evil beings were conjured the beings always go for Brian? The most severe incident is the Bloody Mary one she appears in mirrors and Brian almost got pulled in trying to save his classmate but eventually he was saved by another witch?

Brian grows up not believing in ghosts, but he can’t deny that’s weird that things happen every time they do mess with Oujia boards. The Bloody Mary thing left him with a permanent inability to walk through hallways in the dark. But he does have the scar on his arm from when whatever it was tried to pull him through the mirror. It was weird. He thinks his friend’s mom stopped it because she game them a really long lecture while bandaging Brian’s arm.

(08) Following no. (07) that’s where my this idea came from: do you think maybe one of Freddie, Roger or John’s family member saved Brian before (when he was a kid? A teenager?) although Brian doesn’t know it? (perhaps he’s passed out during that? Roger and John’s family are more likely to do so simply because of geographic wise?) And that elder witch recognized that Brian belongs in the coven with Freddie, Roger and John so he/she/they got home, told them about this very special boy (girl? person?) that they have to protect one day and proceed to spend years arranging for them to “casually” meet and hopefully become friends or even more?

Never considered this... but this is strangely in line with what kind of Gift I have planned for John.

It would be John’s mom that steps in. Brian accidentally invokes a vengeful spirit while playing in the park. It knocks him into a tree before she can get to him. She quickly banishes it before going over to Brian. Her hands push back his hair, checking his head (only a tiny little bump thankfully) when she feels her son? of all people on his skin. She knows John is a very strong Sympathic but for him to be on someone’s he’s never met.

And for this boy to attract such powerful spirits but existing? He didn’t even know what it was?

Well, she’s never been one to question the whims of the earth. Instead she tosses her hair back and starts yelling for someone to help. Ruth comes over quickly, and Mrs. Deacon explains that Brian fell from the tree. There’s no magic coming from Ruth, not like Brian.

Oh boy, she thinks. This is trouble.

When she goes home John is teasing Julie with a rattle. She picks him up and she bounces him on her hip, “I’ve met a special boy, one you’re going to have to protect and teach.”

(09) I imagine that the other three were waiting for the right time to reveal the truth to Brian while shielding him from not just the spirits or demons’ harm but from evil witch covens as well and maybe one day they just had a very unfortunate run in with some elders who harbor malicious agenda - news travels fast? Very soon EVERYONE and every beings that has connection to the Supernatural world KNOWS (except Brian ofc lol) hence the even more aggressive and violent attacks and the other three were constantly on high alert around Brian (while having to act casually it’s hard work really).

They were trying to find the right time, and there’s never a good time to go “so the dead like you because you’re a good transfer spot between worlds oh and the rest of the supernatural kind of hates you or wants to use you because of that.”

Brian finds out about this entire thing when the witch hits him with paralyzation curse. Well just before it because she basically does the villian info dump.

But just before that, when the attacks were ramping up, the others took turns being on Brian watch, cutting their nights short, sleeping in shifts, etc. Roger is literally running out of grimories to look for seals and protection spells. John has to pratically spell a moat into existence around their flat and even Freddie can’t find something to shield Brian’s presence without hampering his magical awakening. 

They’re all getting exhausted, Brian thinks it’s just stress of recording their first album and school work. Except he’s getting a little stir crazy, he’s literally not had a moment alone since the Drude attack (not that he knows it). So when all three of them invietably crash (between the shortened hours and magic drain it says a lot that they went as long as the did). Brian sneaks out.

I don’t think I have to explain what happens?

(10) Haha I like the idea of Freddie being the wild card in every sense especially when it comes to witchcraft obviously considering his cultural heritage is different from the ones in England so he/she/they dresses differently and casts his/her/their magic differently and it infuriates their opponent so fucking much. XD

Freddie uses a hand gesture, the other witch ????? what in the literal fuck? It bothers Roger too because he’s like, this isn’t going to work *spell works* HOW? WHY? 

John actually starts mimicking Freddie’s way of performing spells and his spells get that much more powerful and chaotic.

Hello everybody! A while ago I mentioned making a tutorial for modding LimitlessEndeavours cat skull into a bjd head. It took a while, since I only finished the head’s mod yesterday, but here we go. Below the cut, my sloppy explanation with even sloppier photos! Perhaps don’t see this as a tutorial. See this as my uh, process. 

So we start with the head! I had two at the time, so for a while you’ll see two pop up in these photos. This is a resin cast head by Limitlessendeavours, and I’d say it’s very much an SD sized head. The cast is hollow, and meant to go on an armature. I used to make armatured dolls actually, so these are always a fun project.

This is what they look like from the back. Hollow, with a ridge to attatch fur for example. We need to get rid of that. 

Here you see the heads with the ridge removed with a dremel. I went at it with an exacto knife before, but heck. That’s a painful progress. So out went the dremel. This isn’t a project for those 100% unfamiliar with mods, I’d say. You see here too that I drew in these half circles on the underside of the jaw. That area has to be removed as well, or there’s no proper space for the doll’s neck to go.

And what we are left with. You see I cut out the area I drew, and added some apoxie in the ridges to smooth it out. They’re very rough if you don’t.

Next up is adding a foil ball inside the head. Without this, you end up not having a back of the head. You see here that I was sort of estimating how round I wanted that. 

Cling wrap goes over the ball, and the next step is making the actual head back! 

Sort of looks like I just smacked on apoxie. Which isn’t far from right, really. You want to try to get it as close on the edges as possible. Doesn’t matter if it’s pretty or not, this is just the base. 

After a night of drying you can pull the pieces off, and you have the start of the headback! Foil goes out, too. It did it’s job. You can likely use other materials to add inside the head as well for this, perhaps make the inside of the headcap smoother. I don’t worry too much about that myself.

Here I am cleaning up the edges of the headcap. You can see there’s now space between the headcap and the head, we don’t really want that, but smoothing that out perfectly takes a long time. 

So it’s basically the same steps. Cling wrap inbetween the head and headback, apoxie pushed into the edges. I started mixing my apoxie with white paint here, since eventually I want to have the apoxie not as super dark as it is in it’s natural state. Or you get the super white apoxie, that works too. 

After trimming the edges again, my headback now looks like this.

The next step involves fitting it on the neck you want. The weird black piece on the right with the cling wrap, is my Doll Chateau neck piece. For most dolls you’ll be using the torso. Sculpt a little long turd of apoxie, make a circle of it on the underside of the headback where you want the neck to go, and then push the doll’s neck into it. Make sure to move it left, right, down, up, etc. Again, doesn’t need to be pretty. 

You’re left with something like the image above!

It’s good to keep in mind how that looks on the cat skull. Here I’m looking if the neck-piece is straight. If it tilts forward, or backward, the head’s default pose on the neck is affected.

Drilling! Again, dremelwork. I start with 3 holes and then open up the space inbetween. I didn’t do this straight the first time, so I had to re-fill with apoxie and try again. This is kind of why you save making it pretty for the end.

Comparing the piece to a head I own. I added more bulk to the apoxie ring on the bottom (again push your neckpiece/torso into it to keep that correct), and compared the inside of the head as well. Some SD heads have this little bump inside with ridges for the Shook to rest. I didn’t take photos of it, but I copied mine to be similar.

Installing magnets! I put them inside the head first the second time around, think I did it the other way first. Can’t say I prefer one way over the other. This is just some apoxie around some magnets, stuffed into place, and let dry overnight. I may have pushed the headback against this with some cling wrap to make sure I didn’t put apoxie where it shouldn’t go.

After drying overnight, the magnets are in. Here I put cling wrap over the magnets, and put the other magnets on there as well. There’s a cling wrap wall in-between.

Lil blobs of apoxie go over/around those magnets, and then I pressed the headback against it. I do try to make sure there’s enough space to do this in the headback, and not that it now sits at 2cm distance from the head, but a little space was created that I later corrected.

Headback with the foil inbetween pressed against the freshly installed apoxie over the magnets. This’ll mean, hopefully, that the apoxie meets with the headback and sticks to it. For me that meant there were areas where only a little bit of apoxie met the headback, so I added more to it for sturdiness.

Basically this. You can see on the left my apoxie looks a little floaty inside the headback. I sculpted some more around it, but also cut off some excess that wasn’t needed. And I pulled some magnets out with removing the headcap! No problem, just put em back in there. (Watch your polarity, I spent 3 days wondering why my headback was no longer flush, turns out I’d switched the top magnets the wrong way around)

And tada! I like adding another layer of apoxie to the back mixed with white paint, to smooth everything out. Lots of sanding inside the neck space, and theb ack of the head in general. This piece is primed here. 

Anyway, this ain’t a small project! I don’t show the multitude of times I’ve cleaned up the edges here, or struggled to get excess apoxie off from around the magnets, but those things do happen. I also had issues with the neck hole not being deep enough, or the ridge being too low on the front so the head pushed itself backwards. If you run against issues, or you’d like more images of the finished piece, please ask! I’m happy to try and help you. 

Six magnets is also potentially overkill. This thing BITES when I put the head on 8″)
