Perhaps surprise shouldn’t be felt when Albedo’s hands, in between the states of warmth and freezing, are calloused. Right now is the very few times the alchemist’s gloves are nowhere to be seen—most likely due to the work of a certain man with an eye patch—and as his partner (and admirer, as you’d always like to add), intertwining hands with him seemed to be the best idea at the moment.

“I don’t quite get why you have an intense interest with my hands,” he comments quietly, though not at all bothered with the closeness you’ve initiated. Albedo’s gaze often oscillates between observing to thinly veiled interest, which right now is a combination of the two, your brain helpfully supplies, and it doesn’t help with the rush of heat in your cheeks.

He doesn’t find the desire to hold hands with him weird, does he…?

“I don’t get the chance to hold your hands like this. You’re… always, uhm, wearing your gloves. Not that I want you to take them off, of course!”

Albedo stares at you. “Hmm,” he says, giving you no clue whatsoever if he doesn’t like it.

Maybe he’s just tolerating it…

The sudden tight squeeze to your fingers makes you raise an eyebrow at him. What is he doing? A concentrated look furrows his eyebrows, as his gaze drops to your intertwined hands… then he gives you another squeeze, this time much gentler, and you find a content expression is on his face.

“Well. Perhaps we should do this more often,” Albedo says. Is he joking? “I like how warm your hands are… as well as your cheeks, too. I’ll make sure to put this in mind.”

You don’t even have time to react when he lifts the back of your hand to his lips, placing a kiss on it.

It’s hard to miss that smile on his face.

I just had that post on how Odysseus made Puzzles for himself and Penelope and I have another idea and I'm just really excited to share it lksdjf

I basically plan to have this man in love with Penelope within 10 mins (I HAVE A PLAN! It sounds crazy but I think it'll work. Plus these two are reckless and young when married. His first crush and he's not handling it well.)

This is them. Or at the very least Penelope is definitely playing it off very nonchalantly and is kind of messing around at first, thinking that the "trickster" is "not being genuine" when he's never been more genuine in his life. She can see right through all his lies and bullshit and basically forces him to be vulnerable, something he loves yet is TERRIFIED of. Especially as she "unmasked" him so quickly (and tricked HIM.😉 Won't say how. no spoilers yet) and so effortlessly and he's just a MESS. Athena isn't helping and just watches them both fumble around, even when Odysseus is asking for some guidance, Athena just smiles and is all like "I'm the Goddess of Wisdom, not of Love. Figure it out yourself." (PENELOPE IS JUST AS MUCH OF A BLORBO TO HER AS ODYSSEUS IS, YOU COWARDS!)

I won't go into huge details. I WILL write this fic someday and I need to leave SOME things a surprise. But KNOW this man will be pulling out all the stops trying to impress her and tries to show all the things he's good at and one will be his "puzzle making".

She didn't want Pearl to think she couldn't do this and for her to leave. Holding her hand under the table was a small step, it would be fine!

"N-no, no, it's not… It's fine! I promise," she said, and she wasn't sure she was more trying to assure herself or trying to assure Pearl. Thankfully though, Pearl didn't comment on it, and instead simply took a drink from her coffee, glancing around the shop. They'd stopped by the shops a few times, and it had easily become their favorite meet up, but it didn't make Gem any less antsy to be in public, so close together on the sofa with Pearl, holding hands with another girl.

The press would have a field day! Even one stray teenager with a phone could ruin-!

"Come back to Earth for me?" Pearl asked, her voice soft, and the blush on her cheeks seemed to burn that much darker as she looked to Pearl. She gave her a sheepish smile, apologetic, and squeezed her hand gently.

"S-sorry. It's just… A lot. I'm still scared someone is gonna see us…"

"Ah, nah, it's alright. I know you're trying," Pearl said, her expression kind, and it made Gem's heart do backflips in her chest, but the smile she gave Pearl in return was genuine. That, in turn, drew a warm smile from Pearl that made Gem wish she had the confidence to kiss her.

"Thank you for… Being so patient with me," Gem eventually said, scooting a little closer to Pearl. Their knees were almost touching now, and it almost made it hard to breathe, just being so very close to her. "I know it's gotta be frustrating for you."

"You're not the first girl to ever be in the closet while in the public eye. Don't worry about it, alright? I'm not here to drag you out of the closet, I'm here for you." And, Pearl shifted a little, so their knees did touch. It made Gem almost light headed, and she was sure her face was as red as could be. She brought her hot chocolate to her lips, trying to hide how much just the simple touches were affecting her, and did her best to not outright burn her tongue with her drink.

"Maybe… Maybe one day we can go somewhere more public," she whispered, and she felt Pearl shrug.

"I'll be happy as long as I'm with you."

Costume design is often used by creators as another outlet to express what a character is feeling and their evolution in relationships with others, but it's especially helpful with a character like Izuku who doesn't give away much of himself to the reader anymore... because that's when costume design can do it’s loudest talking.

I can only see the orange appearing in Izuku's costume lately as Katsuki’s complete take over of his heart.

Kacchan saved him, apologised to him, called him by his real name and protectively looked after Izuku on his return to U.A. They started acting like the true best friends they were always meant to be and now the orange is just everywhere, taking up so much space, emulating Katsuki's existence inside Izuku's heart.

This latest colour scheme feels like a statement on the progression of Izuku's feelings towards Katsuki and how they have been piling up more and more because of everything they've been through lately and all of the kindness and care Izuku's received from him. ❤️
