What is it like living as a Jew in the UK? Do you find it easy to find judaica like menorahs or matzah? I might be moving there in September and I’d like to know as a Jew lol
Firstly, I haven't grown up religiously Jewish, but there isn't a synagogue in my town if I were anyway, so my experience while have a different bias.
I've only met two other Jewish people from my town, and I've always just 'minded my business' I suppose with being Jewish - fortunately most around me never cared too much. I think the Jewish population here is estimated between 300-350k, with most being in London. There aren't many Jewish people here nor a strong Jewish history, especially due to being banned from settling in England for some 500 years.
Due to this I've never really come across Judaica in person. Etsy and eBay are your friends for that and you can find some good stuff. I haven't seen much in London, but tbh I don't really look in antique places nor have I actually been to Jewish community areas. But I have got stuff online, so there's always that
If you're looking to move anywhere that isn't London, do check if the town/city or neighbouring one has a synagogue, bcs there aren't many around. They might have an email that would be worth contacting and would give a better run down of living there ! I can't honestly say much else bcs I didn't have anything negative or significant happen for being Jewish. At uni I've managed to meet other Jewish people and have friends that are interested in learning and attending holidays, which is great !
I hope this helps and sorry I couldn't give much !

Feeling pretty happy about how items have been moving on Depop and also people on there are really communicative and nice (on etsy it's a toss up if anyone will respond if I have a question about their order, on ebay I think I've gotten one message back ever; on Depop 3 of 3 people I sent messages to replied in less than 24 hours). Maybe because it's app based people are like ... on their phones lol?
So I concede my reluctance, I still GREATLY DISLIKE the UI, almost everything about it (which was what off put me the most) (also. you can use Depop on your browser but for some ungodly reason you can't connect your bank account details for payout without the app ?????) But the UI is less important than how well the storefront works for me.
So I've decided to change my username on there to match my etsy and ebay. It's not too much to juggle, just keeping an eye on what I cross post mostly to make sure I don't leave up anything sold. I may experiment with adding some of my etsy items to Depop, but for now its my second hand stuff (I still have lots of things from my moms house in storage to clear out and my siblings/friends/partner keep donating me their items to sell online lmao)
I didn't change my Chowder icon though that's one of my throwaway random icons from my phone gallery but it just seems so stylish for Depop
Anyway all that being said! If you're an avid user of depop follow my shop or just check it out
https://depop.com/MedicinalMoth
If you're not, you can still find all the same items on Ebay (some just need catching up cross posting), and ofc Etsy for my original stuff.

Hey!! First of all I love your blog. I wish to read more of your thoughts about Yellowjackets. Now to the questions: Any ideas on how to get screen accurate clothes or simillar and a dupe of Jackie's necklace? Tiffany I am sorry but I do not have 5000$ for you! And Who is your favorite Yellowjacket, wy, what you like& dislike about her. Happy New Year!!!!
I think a lot of the clothes you could probably thrift! Like Jackie's blue & white striped sweater is pretty basic, like Old Navy or The Gap (smh Mrs. Taylor would never shop Old Navy). This site has all of the actuals, but costume budgets are usually much higher than the average person could afford.
For Shauna's flannels, you could find some at Target or Kohl's or if you're feeling like you want to spend some dollars probably Levi's and Madewell. Truly no clue where Miss Charlotte Matthews gets all of her kaftans, I don't know if TJ Maxx has those for her to steal.
For Jackie's necklace, Ebay has a bunch of less-than-5k ones (the link takes you right to the search), and there's some on Etsy as well. Looks like the silver ones are much more affordable than Jackie's gold. This one looks like a good gold dupe for approx $140 though!
As for my favorite character...... honestly that's gonna have to go under the cut I've got so much to say always!!
Both teen and adults, I love Tai and Shauna. (I prefer teen!Natalie to adult!Natalie bc I love drama, and I prefer adult!Misty to teen!Misty because adult!Misty has intention. It's not good, but it is intention lmao)
What I love about Tai and Shauna is how their journeys into adulthood are basically complete opposites but also exactly the same: selfish. Tai went "back to normal" so to speak, going to her school of choice, becoming a lawyer, dating lots of beautiful women (her words!) where Shauna just... gave up. She shrunk herself further.
And you'd think after all Shauna did, she wouldn't want to shrink into someone's shadow anymore. However, as we learn in the teen timeline, if there's a single thing that Shauna wants (Jackie, Javi's safety, safe birth) she will not receive it. In fact, it will backfire so badly and it will all be her fault. So she simply "decides" she doesn't want anything else than what she has. I don't even know if she truly loves Jeff the way Jeff loves her.
The way she explodes when she finally does let go, too, is bonkers. She is so full of rage but doesn't permit herself to experience it because, y'know, anger begets death. And she proves it to herself! She literally proves it to herself when she kills Adam! She's like... damn, can't feel anything lest I commit atrocities!!
Just love to see people repress their shit and then go absolutely batshit when they realize they can't keep doing it anymore.
Also why I love Taissa, who has gone head-first into her ambitions with no regard for the others. She said "yeah, I love my wife, but I will not listen to her when she asks me to give up my ambitions for the sake of our family. I will tell her I will, but y'know what? I changed my mind!"
As we learn more about Taissa, probably in season 3, I want to see more of how the relationship with Van devolved in their young adulthood or at least get the gist of it. Because, in my headcanon, I feel like Tai wanted Van to fit into her group and would do things that would actually be so rude "just for tonight" to make Van more aligned with how she saw her future. She probably wanted Van to dress nicer, look more put-together, show up and be "normal" in front of her colleagues. (Because I'm sure that's how she saw her college peers - as colleagues instead of classmates.) I say this with affection, of course, because while I do think that's super selfish I also get why she wants to have so much control. She has no control when Other Tai shows up, so she needs to regain as much as possible.
I wanted to see a bit more conflict between Tai and Van over Lottie, but there's plenty of time for that in the adult timeline now. But I did want to see teen!Tai get pissed about Van being soo into the Lottie stuff. Maybe we will next season? I don't know, probably not, I don't see it fitting into the timeline. I generally wish we got more of Tai in season 2 but I understand the writers had to get Natalie stuff done to align her death with the crowning.
I love Tai because she's unintentionally like... the prime competition for Jackie in the ways that Jackie is insecure. She is so confident within herself, she doesn't need to be aligned with her peers, she's fine going against the pack when she thinks she's in the right. Tai is so unapologetic in who she is, which is refreshing to see for a lesbian in the 90s on tv. She uses the "freedom" of the wilderness to embrace herself and drop the performance she had going on in the real world. And while we don't know much about her life pre-crash, if it's anything like her life post-survival, she must have put on a hell of a show. Because we see her perform femininity in public for the sake of her job, and we can see how she uses it to gain access to the world that otherwise would not be kind to her.
I could go on and on these ladies are sooooooooooooooooo!!!!!

No one cares but I'm thinking about it now so my thoughts on all of the major platforms for clothing reselling.
ime Grailed is the best in terms of available brands/items, price, etc. Nice selection to just browse through. I've found the best prices on there as well. I do dislike how they display the brand information for an item and the general page layout is kind of ugly imo. The app looks nicer though but still not amazing.
Depop feels kind of sketchy in a way that I can't fully articulate. I think it's probably just because it's the trendiest one, so it has the most people. They also are a bit too big so there's more garbage to sift through. Prices seem to vary a great deal from seller to seller. Also seems very common for people to request to do sales off-site to avoid fees, which doesn't help the sketchy vibe lol.
Poshmark I haven't used much, mostly I've found specific items I was looking for on there randomly. Seems like it has less selection so it's not as nice to browse, but if searching for a specific thing it can come through. Prices seem higher than average.
eBay is good but too big if anything. They'll have the most fakes, the most bootleg items, the most irrelevant stuff to what you're looking for and the most stuff that you just don't like. If you're looking for a specific thing or specific brand or whatever, they can be great. But it can be more work finding things. Prices vary significantly from obviously fake to massively overpriced.
I've sold on Depop, Poshmark and eBay, but I've never used any of them regularly enough to have much of an opinion. I'm sure the fees vary and level of support probably varies, but from just selling a few things occasionally over the years, they're all basically the same in my mind. Actually eBay was annoying because iirc, they didn't take out the fees from what I was paid, but billed me for the fees at a later date. I don't like that, but some people might. I'd probably use Grailed now if I were wanting to seling something just because I do like them most to shop with now.
I was kind of curious about fees, so I did do a bit of research. The general consensus seems to be that Grailed is the best in terms of fees? Also maybe worth nothing is someone mentioned that Grailed is better for menswear, so that may also be coloring my experience.
Oh also Etsy and Mercari both exist and have some things but neither are primarily that. Etsy obviously is more focused towards crafts/homemade items/some resell stuff and Mercari is more like an online thrift store. It's actually amazing for finding random shit for way cheap, but probably not clothing specifically.

Hi! Got a question for you that you don't have to answer. But I was wondering where you got your Commodore 64 systems from? I'm watching the main sites like Facebook, Ebay, Etsy, etc. But I can't find anything at my current price range.
Ive owned 7 different Commodore 64s in the past 19 years. Here's how I got them:
Online sale (not ebay), a neighbor found it on the curb, ebay, bonus surprise with other stuff when I picked up an ebay purchase for an extra few bucks, ebay, private sale via discord, private sale from a coworker.
@aperture-in-the-multiverse and @ms-dos5 each have one of the two I re-homed.
Ebay C64s take time, patience, and a little luck to find for a reasonable deal

Any tips on finding canines to add to the collection? Do you just get lucky enough to find things like your coydog bullies or is there some kind of search term?
Additionally, do you ever sell anything? Canine or not
Honestly, it all just adds up to the fact that I've been collecting for over 10 years. Defiantly had a lot of luck, but I've been diligent about collecting since the beginning which has just added up over time. Canines are very common in the US market so there's been a lot of opportunities to find some really interesting ones :>
I also had to learn how to collect, if that makes sense? Stuff like pricing, availability, learning how to budget, and being able to accurately identify different canids, etc. I can't tell you how many "coyote" pelts and skulls I bought that were actually wolves, dogs, or foxes. And even then, there's still a few surprises lol
I've gotten a lot from people in the VC community and friends/followers that send me things they're selling or saw while they were looking for their own critters. I also have a network of local people that will contact me if they see anything or when they go out hunting/trapping. Other than that, I mostly just check ebay and etsy at random or go scavenging for my own stuff.
And I do! I try to do sales about once a month. I've been processing a lot of other critters recently but I usually have some canids for sale :>

do you have any advice on how to get the wmmap paper dolls books? or is itsuper exclusive merch? sorry for asking i'm just super curious!
Currently the only way of buying the paper doll book is finding it being sold on a second-hand shopping site. When KW Books' (Carrotoon's parent company) official store had just launched, they put some leftover stock of wmmap's limited editions up for sale. I guess that could happen again, but 1. Going by their wording, it seemed like a "just this one time" type of deal; and 2. You would have to buy volume 3's limited edition, which could be way more expensive than buying the piece of merch individually. Also, wmmap's volumes got sold out in like, a couple of hours.
Anyways, the fastest and safest way of buying any rare merch is keeping an eye on reseller sites. I'm not too sure about the korean scene, since I use japanese sites. My go-to site is Mercari, but there's also Suruga-ya, Yahoo! Auctions, Ebay, etc. I recommend Mercari because it's easy to use with proxy companies that help you out with the buying process, such as Buyee (probably the easiest one to use? but there are others like Zenmarket, Treasure Japan, etc. I can vouch for Treasure Japan and Buyee since I've used them several times). I have seen korean and japanese fans selling the paper doll book on Twitter once or twice, but the person most likely won't ship internationally (I asked lmao).
TL;DR: 1. Search for wmmap on reseller sites (using its japanese, korean, chinese, etc., spelling depending on the site you use). The paper doll book is super rare, but I have seen it a bunch of times, so eventually it should reappear; 2. If you can't buy it directly, use a proxy company as middleman (Buyee is pretty reliable, but depending on your country there might be better options from local stores). That's it!
As for prices, it honestly depends on your luck. Sometimes you'll find second-hand merch at pretty fair prices (for books I think anything around $20 USD is worth it, but this heavily depends on your currency's exchange rate), and other times people will ask for a crazy amount of money. Merch that has been opened, used or that has any type of damage will always be cheaper, so sometimes it's best to buy "not perfect" merch. My advice is to also consider the shipping cost and possible import taxes before making any purchases.
Oh, also, I don't recommend buying from Etsy resellers. They always overcharge way too much and I've heard many cases of people not receiving everything they had bought from them.
Wow, that was a long answer...

Hellooo!!! I realllyyy wanna cosplay Nibbly, but I am STRUGGLING to find all the bits (or any of the bits) and I was wondering where u got the stuff for ur cosplay??? No problem if ur not comfortable or just don't want to share, but I would be very grateful 🩷
Hi!
Always happy to help get more Starkid cosplays out in the world 😊 Just bear in mind some things may only be available in the UK if you're not also living here currently.
Also fair warning, this gets surprisingly pricey. I was in a rush to get things together quickly, so if you've got time deffo poke around and find yourself cheaper options
I'll go top down:
The hat/visor I originally got from ebay, but you can get on amazon, etsy, or probably a few other places, just search for a rhinestone visor and you should find one.
The wig is from coscraft, it's two curly ponytail clip ons and their Charlie wig, both in fuschia. If you're outside the UK your best bet is probably epic cosplay who have very similar ponytails and base wig
The site I bought my shirt from was sketchy as hell and doesn't even exist any more, so I can't link that unfortunately, but a white tank top or tube top will do you fine, but if you're concerned with being super accurate, the shirt Kim wears does have a thin strip of fur around the neckline, that's super easy to get from any craft store and glue/stitch on.
The fluffy arm things also came from ebay, but I've seen several sites that do like party/festival wear things sell these. They're actually boot covers, so if you again search etsy/amazon/ebay/your preferred site for "fluffy pink boot covers" I guarantee you can find them. Just make sure the elastic is the right size for your arms.
The skirt I made myself because it seems to only be available in XS in the Hot Pink colour everywhere it's sold, and would have had to have shipped from the US and would have taken too long/cost too much.
It's Allegra K A-Line Mini Suspender skirt, and I've seen it on Amazon, Walmart, Target and couple of other random sites. Here's the official Allegra K site (which unfortunately just links through to Amazon)
My version of the skirt is a simple 3/4 circle skirt with a wide waist band and some straps attached.
The socks are from a lovely seller on ebay (my favourite cosplay resource tbh) who makes pole dancing gear. Again, they're generic enough that you can probably find them on your site of choice. Just search for "Glitter thigh high socks"
And finally the shoes are by a company called Lucky Step, and thankfully also sell in the UK via Amazon again. I had to buy a size up, but a half size up would have been ideal if they did them. They're super comfy too, so much so I got myself another pair in black for everyday use.
Wow that got surpsigingly long. Feel free to message me if you need a hand with anything else!

How the frick do you make your tiny little plant/moss habitats?? Sorry if it’s a stupid question but I’ve been *fascinated* with things like that for ages and have lowkey wanted to make one of my own but I have no idea where to even start
You basically want to find little tiny plants like moss, liverworts and algae that like being damp all the time, so things that grow along riverbanks or in wetlands are a safe bet in a lot of environments, then it's as simple as putting them in a clear container under the right lighting and just leaving them!
They can be happy in partial shady sunlight as long as they don't get roasting hot in the summer, or under any artificial lights suitable for plant life, which includes any LED lights with both white and blue bulbs, or blue white and purple. Most of mine grow under one of these:
Tumblr media
I don't have to do anything special to make them turn out nice; I can just throw some scraps of the right moss in with some stones, sand and a little water and they'll fill in and grow nicely over a couple weeks! Here's another photo of the one I recently filmed, I found this little rock with a little tiny cave in it while I was hiking!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
For people who can't find quite the right mosses in the wild or just don't want to gamble, there's a really wide variety of "aquatic mosses" sold on etsy and ebay for fish tanks, and all of them are actually "amphibious" in the wild, growing a little different whether they're on land or underwater, so all "aquarium moss" is also viable for damp little jars!
Tumblr media
The many varieties sold as "java moss" are the cheapest and by far the easiest, which will also just keep growing in a jar of plain water. You don't have to worry about soil of any kind with these!
Tumblr media
My favorite is "riccardia," sold as "coralmoss," which is really a species of liverwort. I actually find it where I live, but only in the spray zone of waterfalls! I have a ton of it growing in one of my bigger jars and my favorite clump of it grows on this submerged stick:
Tumblr media
You can see there's also a whole skeletonized leaf in this jar; it used to be a whole dead leaf but it was slowly eaten down to the veins by little water fleas and things.

My hands get very antsy due to being in bed all the time and not physically moving much. I used to ruin my remote controls by subconsciously clicking the battery covers on and off. That's when I turned to the world of fidgets. I've tried spinners and magnet cubes and whatsits and thingamabobs.
Then I discovered EDC (every day carry) fidget sliders. To date, they are the most satisfying fidget I've tried. They reduce my overall anxiety by quite a bit. It's weird how something so simple can have such a huge benefit.
They are kind of hard to find and even harder to buy. You have to join Facebook groups and wait for SUS (sign up sales) and hope you get picked for the privilege of buying one. Or you have to snag a used one someone is selling in the group. Or periodically search eBay and Etsy for fidget sliders.
These are somewhat specialized items that individuals create with CNC machines. There isn't really any mass production yet. And unfortunately, that makes them pretty expensive. Some are well over $300 and made with some very fancy materials. I've been lucky enough to find a few that are in the $100 range, which still seems ridiculous. But it's hard to put a price on mitigating anxiety.
If you think these are cool and would like to look into sliders further, these are the places I've found so far.
Mackie's EDC
Magnus EDC Magnus Store
MetalStyleUSA
Again, I can't guarantee you'll find anything reasonably priced unless you are patient and maybe do some hunting around. I tried the leather one just to see if I liked this style of fidget, but even though it was cheaper, it was a waste of money. It's definitely best to try and find a metal one.

this is so random, but do you have any recs for decent carol danvers merch or where to buy any? i think i missed the quality window by three years, bc a lot of stuff that's available seems tacky, expensive, or sold out! no pressure to answer since this is so broad, but either way, thank you for all the pretty brie gifs ❤️💙💛
you may have missed the window for brand new merch for the first movie, BUT you can honestly find a lot of stuff on Ebay and other resale sites like Mercari.
also Kohl's has a ton of graphic tees too (link here), and sometimes they have sales, so maybe check back every so often if you're patient. and of course you can always check out Etsy or Redbubble or Society6 to see what people are selling there.
I also just got this blanket for Christmas from my brother, and I think you can still find some more Captain Marvel stuff on Amazon too.
and if you still can't find anything you like, The Marvels comes out next year, so we have all that new merch to look forward to! and possibly even if Carol is in Ms Marvel this year, we might get more merch then, but who knows!
and honestly I look out for Captain Marvel merch basically anywhere I go, because marvel/disney is always trying to take our money, so sometimes new little things pop up. like around back to school time, I found a bunch of school supplies at Target with a little cartoon Carol featured on them (yeah they were tacky, but I still bought a pencil pouch lol).
good luck on your merch search! sorry if none of this was helpful, but I hope you can find something you like!

Hi there! My partner is a huge fan of Romana, and i want to get them something Romana-themed for their birthday, but I can't find anything on etsy or redbubble :( do you have any suggestions of where to look?
Tumblr media
You’ve come to the right place! I feel the pain of having a hard time finding Romana-themed items specifically, I think we all have. I’m planning to fix that eventually by making some of her stuff for others. However, for now, I can help on this blog.
There is some Romana themed things, it’s just hiding. Some vary by price, but all of it is greatly loved and appreciated by Romana fans. <3 Here are some of my suggestions...
Some Romana Merch to get your Romana fanatic:
Might I start off suggesting the Gallifrey Audio CD’s (which is mainly Romana 2 and Leela). I’ve recently gotten into them and THEY ARE FANTASTIC! Romana fans will enjoy them, even if they like the Time Lords. It’s mostly centered on Gallifrey (obviously) and deals with Romana 2 being Lady President and trying to deal with Gallifreyan politics and etc. There is great character development, stories and even special guest appearances like Romana 1 (Mary Tamm) throughout them. They are cheaper to find on Amazon & Ebay and since Series 1-3 is out of print, it’s easier to find them on those sites. If you need help with it let me know.
I also suggest other audio CD’s with Romana, like the Fourth Doctor Adventures with Romana 1 or Romana 2. I have all the ones with Romana 1 and they are simply wonderful! I expect the same of the others. I suggest starting with The Auntie Matter featuring Romana 1 and Four. Also, another must have is the single Companion Chronicle Audio for Romana called Luna Romana.  It features Lalla Ward as Romana 2 and Juliet Landau as Romana 3 (but also voicing for Romana 1 since Mary Tamm was sadly gone at this point.) This CD is a beautiful tribute to Romana and Mary Tamm. Again, all these are cheaper on Amazon & Ebay since some are also out of print.
We finally got figurines of Romana, but they come as a set with other characters. Here’s Romana 2 with the Curator.  And Romana 1 with Borusa.
The Key to Time DVD Boxset (because that’s where Romana began. <3)
The wonderful reconstruction of the Shada episode with Romana 2
Romana 2′s Pink Trench Coat (made by different websites which vary in price.) Perfect for cosplay!
Any of Romana’s episodes.
Also, to help support wonderful artists here on Tumblr:
Aethira makes amazing fan art of Romana (and the Gallifrey audios) that you can get on Redbubble as many different items. Here’s a link to their shop.
Hopefully these help you find your partner an amazing gift for their birthday. I wish them a happy one! Let me know if you need help with anything else, especially on this list.
And if there are any other fellow Romana fans that can think of other suggestions for Romana-themed items, feel free to help out. :) I know there is so much more out there I may miss.

Do you know any way to make a DIY scented vial necklace? I've searched for it myself, but the only versions that I can seem to find are solid instead of the type that stimtastic sells. (I'd buy them there, but I have an extremely sensitive sense of smell and I don't buy smells over the internet because I can't actually. y'know. smell them.)
Yes, I do! I actually made my own because I happened across small glitter bottles (a little larger than the Stimtastic ones) at a dollar store.
Tumblr media
[image description: three clear plastic miniature bottles with white plastic stoppers, a hole running through the top of the stopper. The bottle is filled with white glitter and the purple label attached to the bottles reads “PortaCraft 3pk Fairy Dust” with a price tag of $2.50 AUD.]
Firstly, I don’t precisely know how the Stimtastic ones are made. I eyeballed my necklace and decided that the components are, most likely, rock salt, food colouring, essential oils or perfume oils, a miniature bottle or vial, and rattail cord (although you could use a leather thong, a chain, etc).
Secondly, I’ll bore you on oils: perfume oils are artificially-made oils designed to mimic scents that can’t be reproduced naturally or are difficult/not cost-effective to reproduce naturally. Raspberry, cake, chocolate. These will contain chemicals that won’t bother most people but can bother (anything from dislike to headaches so severe one cannot function) folks with sensitivities. Essential oils are extracted from natural products by a variety of means and contain no artificial chemicals. Rose, lavender, lime, lemon, peppermint, lemongrass.
You can find low-grade perfume oils at any dollar shop and higher-grade perfume oils at some art shops if they have a candlemaking section. You can find a limited selection of essential oils at a pharmacy/chemist, but better selections at natural health and new-age-type stores. You may find basic oils - here in Australia the common trifecta is lavender, tea tree and eucalyptus, as the latter two are used in cleaning and disinfecting - in supermarkets.
(ETA: @stevenuniversequartz recommends PipingRock for essential and fragrance oils!)
Avoid getting pure essential oils on your skin and wash immediately if you do.
Thirdly, be mindful of the bottle. You can buy cheap miniature bottles in most dollar and craft stores with cork stoppers; it isn’t difficult to screw a hook into the cork, thread a cord or chain through the hook and call it done. But the oils can seep up through the cork and it will not stop the fragrance from being smellable outside the bottle, meaning you’re subjecting people to unwanted fragrance (which is a problem if they’re sensitive like you and me). The cork may also slide easily from the top of the bottle! My plastic-stoppered bottles take a lot of pulling, so they’re safe, but screw-cap bottles will be the safest of all and my best recommendation for this project.
Because I’d love to make many necklaces with my favourite custom oil blends, I’ve been looking for other bottle suppliers. On Etsy, this seller has large (1 ¾ inch) bottles with screw caps; this seller has fabulous different shapes with screw caps for under $2 USD each; and this seller has long screw-cap pendant bottles for under $2 USD each. You might also like to check out ebay, as there’s a lot of different listings for all sorts of necklace vials. I’m interested in this listing for light globe bottles with screw caps (under $5 USD, free international shipping) and this selection of various-sized bottles (under $9 USD, free international shipping).
Tumblr media
[image description: two necklaces made from the above-mentioned plastic miniature bottles, filled with white salt crystals and glitter or red and orange salt crystals and glitter. Both have a narrow rainbow rattail cord running through the plastic stopper, knotted at one end to form a loop.]
Instructions
Take a small amount (a teaspoon or two should be ample for most vials/bottles) of rock salt crystals (the brand name in Australia is Saxa and they’ll look something like this, available in supermarkets) and place in a cup or bowl. Add a drop or two of food colouring and stir it through the crystals with a spoon. Leave to dry for an hour or so.
Add desired scent to the coloured salt crystals. Again, this will only be a few drops. Again leave to dry, as this will make handling the salt much easier and stop oil oozing out the top of your bottle.
If you want extra sparkle, mix glitter into your salt!
Spoon coloured and scented salt into bottle or vial. You may need to DIY a paper funnel (by rolling a sheet of paper at an angle so one end is narrow and the other wide) to do this, because I didn’t own a funnel small enough.
Close stopper or screw cap. Thread cap with chain or cord. If your bottles are like mine with a very narrow hole, you may need to push the rattail cord through the stopper with a needle.
That’s it! Finding the components is far more involved than actually making the necklaces. You can do what I did with my right-hand bottle and mix different-coloured rock salt crystals together in the one pendant; I think it looks super pretty.
If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask away.

Do you know any good places to buy vintage or frilly lingerie like nightgowns? I've been looking for months and can't find anything!
Super late reply wowow. But that's essentially what I want my new (well, reopened) shop to be for. I have a huge collection that I've built over many hours of searching. So keep an eye out for that! But for now, my number one recommendation would be to search Etsy. Their layout is easy to navigate and they have a good tagging system so you can search by color, material, etc. if you set your filters to vintage only, then look at clothes>women's>lingerie you should be able to find something. That said, I understand it can be hard to find the type of lingerie I post, if that's what you're interested in specifically. Most vintage lingerie shops focus more on the "classic" lingerie look or pinup style, whereas I go for the more princess frou frou stuff which is less common. You'll have to weed through a lot of stuff you may not like to find some gems. You can also search ebay and thrift stores/charity shops like I do, but it's definitely time consuming since there's so much crap you have to sift through. Super rewarding when you find something nice though! I also have connections with a few local shops who look out for certain styles for me.
