om gosh just- alister getting into some trouble with some mean people but then, out of no where- a odd looking & powerful Zoroark (Hisuian) comes out to protect them! and they're badass! they got one eye damaged, their body is littered in scars and maybe a arm is missing? they been through some tough stuff but they see Allister as one of their children. and surely, allister has them on their team now? also, what would the other gym leaders think of his new pal?
"How does a kid like him get a gym leader position?"
"It should've been me, I have way better ghost types!"
"And he's always wearing that creepy mask. What's he hiding from us?"
Allister could feel his heart hammering in his chest every minute he was out in public. All he wanted to do was take a quiet walk through the Slumbering Weald and not draw too much attention to himself.
He really didn't want to be seen by anyone right now.
It's already been a bad enough day for him; the last thing he needed were cameras and phones being shoved into his face--he's gotten enough of that during today's interview.
He was asked how he felt about Victor/Gloria defeating him in the championship tournament, and he didn't have a solid answer. He only found himself getting upset over the whole thing again.
Even though Leon always told him to take his defeats in stride..it was still hard.
So he cut the interview short and ran away, making it clear he wanted to be alone without the company of bodyguards.
Why would he need them when he had Pokémon like Gengar? They're the only ones who really understood him. They never gave him weird looks for talking to the dead.
Yet he suddenly began to second-guess his decision, considering he now had no shelter from the comments of passerbys.
They doubted him all because he was the youngest of the gym leaders and wasn't as confident as the rest of them..and it wasn't right. They didn't know him like the others did.
He worked so hard to get to where he is now....not to be heckled and ridiculed for just being a kid.
Luckily, the Slumbering Weald was rather quiet at this hour-
"Use Thief!"
A flash of black and orange suddenly dashed in front of Allister, causing him to help as he stumbled forwards and collapsed to his knees, scraping them hard into the stone. The shock of the surprise attack led to his mask falling off and clattering to the ground.
Before he could reach for it, a Thievul snatched it up in its jaws, darting back to someone who was whistling for it.
He looked up, a hand over his face as he stared at the duo who attacked him: a teenaged trainer boring a smug grin, and their dark type by their side, holding his mask hostage.
And they weren't alone, as another trainer showed up with their Obstagoon, who took the mask from Thievul and wore it on its own face as mockery, laughing.
"You better give that back!" He cried out, horrified and angry. "Y-You two don't know..who you're messing with.."
"I think we already know." The Thievul's trainer sneered cruelly. "You're just a weak little kid. Did you know that you're the most unpopular gym leader in this week's poll?" They waved around their rotomphone
"..I-I don't care about popularity.."
"Pssh. That's a bloody lie if I've ever heard one." Obstagoon's trainer huffed. "Ya really showed your fans how selfish you actually are. Ya wouldn't stick around for autographs and just ran off...how do ya think Leon and the rest of 'em will feel when they hear about that?"
"Stop it..please." Allister begged, his hand grasping Gengar's dusk ball in preparation.
"I doubt they'd want someone like you representin' the-"
"VUL!!"
Out of nowhere, a blast of dark purplish energy careened into Theivul, causing it to slam into the nearest tree and flop to the ground like a ragdoll. Its trainer looked bewildered, confused as to where that shot came from.
Then a blur of white appeared and snatched the mask straight out of Obstagoon's hands, much to its shock as it looked all around...unable to see who it was.
But soon they all heard a spine-chilling howl, spinning their heads to find out that the source was you.
A white Zoroark standing in the fog.
Yet while you certainly looked like one, your hair was drastically different compared to the usual tied-back look of normal Zoroarks. Instead, it appeared as long shaggy wisps with red streaks waving all over the place and covering one of your eyes.
Not only that, but your whole body looked as though it's been through the toughest of battles: scars littered your torso, some patches of fur were entirely missing, and--to Allister's shock and sadness--you only had one arm. The other was nothing more than a stump.
Even so, you weren't backing down as you stalked towards him, the bullies, and their Pokémon, teeth gnashed in anticipation.
Thievul and Obstagoon both took up protective stances, ready to attack on their trainers' commands.
Except..
No commands were uttered for a few long moments, and they looked back to see the sheer horror plastered on each of the humans' faces.
"I-It's...a...a....IT'S A ZOMBIE!!!" Thievul's trainer shrieked, forcing their fox partner back into its ball. "So the rumors are true..y-you really CAN summon the dead!!"
"...huh..?" Allister blinked in immense confusion.
He didn't summon you..
"W-We were just kiddin'. You're great!! You're worthy of wearin' that ghost badge!!" The other stammered, recalling Obstagoon. "We won't bother ya..e-ever again...just...."
They took one look at you, and as you growled lowly, the two trainers screamed and ran away.
"WAAAAAAHHH!!!!"
"DON'T EAT OUR BRAINS!!!"
After their voices faded and Allister watched them disappear for good, he looked back up at you in wonder. No longer was he covering his face, so you could see his eyes practically sparkling.
"They were wrong." He whispered. "You're no zombie. You're...the Hisuian Zoroark I've read about."
Of course you were. He's heard about this variant from what he believed were just myths of the Hisui region that existed long before Sinnoh. From what he knew about them, and judging by your current appearance...the agony you suffered in life was also reflected in your death.
Had he not been a ghost trainer with such a unique connection to the type, he would've thought you were a zombie, too.
As your gaze pierced through his soul, he remained on the ground, feeling as though he got hit by a frozen status effect. He didn't dare to move, knowing that a Hisuian Zoroark's anger was not to be trifled with.
Perhaps you saw him as just another human to take your rage out on.
For you likely held the same grudge as all the others of your kind...
One that was bitter, eternal, and cold as the frost that took your life after you've spent all your energy and hatred in battle; your scars and lost arm were simply the products of you flinging yourself into vicious fights with humans and Pokémon alike--no self-preservation instincts to be found.
Allister had no clue what you were thinking, but as you suddenly crouched down in front of him, he flinched back, arms shielding his face in fear of what you might do.
"Zo...."
"..wh-what..?" Uncovering his face, he was stunned to see something familiar in your grasp being handed over to him:
His own mask.
Of course. He forgot you swiped it from that mean Obstagoon earlier.
Yet he didn't take it back right away, instead looking up at you and seeing nothing but warmth in your eyes. He noticed the one covered by your hair was blind, given the milky look and the deep scar that went through it.
Despite seeing how you've suffered countless hardships, likely endured an agonizing death, and came back out of pure spite and hatred for humans...
You reached deep into your cold, dead heart and rediscovered strength and kindness--both of which you used to protect this young ghost trainer when he needed it most.
You knew he wasn't like those who exiled you.
No.
He was a friend.
He reminded you of all your children back at home: the Zoruas who followed you in life, death, and the after..fearful of what they've become, but feeling safe when you were around.
You couldn't reach them anymore, yet you wanted to protect someone. Anyone.
And you found Allister.
A small sniffle and whimper snapped you out of your thoughts, noticing the tears rolling down the young boy's face. You frowned a little, looking down at the mask.
Was this not his?
"D-Don't worry, I'm....so happy, Z-Zoroark..thank you.." He whispered shakily, smiling as he took it back, putting it on to hide the rest of his tears. "I..d-don't know how you got here, but you saved me. You put those bullies in their place. Nobody takes me seriously as a ghost type gym leader..much less a trainer..but you do, don't you?"
"Ark-ark.." Nodding, your gaze went to the dusk ball clipped to his belt, and you tapped on it with a rugged claw.
At first, he flinched at the sudden motion, before realizing you just wanted to see the pokeball. "Oh, this? I-It's a dusk ball..a version of a pokeball that helps me catch Pokémon at night. Or in caves.." He showed it to you, allowing you to sniff it curiously-
Only to accidentally boop your nose against the button, causing it to open and capture you.
At first Allister panicked, dropping the dusk ball to the ground as he watched it shake several times, scared out of his mind.
A million thoughts were running through his head right now:
Was it going to break?
Were you going to be angry?
Did you want to be captured?
What if-
*click*
'Huh...?' Bewildered, he looked down to see that the accidental catch was successful. And he picked up the dusk ball, opening it and letting you back out, expecting you to be enraged.
Yet..you seemed content.
You looked surprised, sure, but you soon smiled upon seeing him and nodded your head.
Indeed, you wished to become his partner Pokémon.
"O-Okay..I guess you're coming with me from now on." Allister quietly laughed, brimming with joy on the inside. "But first you should meet Gengar. I think..you two will get along well."
"Zor...ark, ark!"

Hello! Thought I'd take up Glitter's challenge to shout ideas off of the "caring for the chain" post, so here goes:
Jumping off of Warrior's part and the shoulder massage, I have a story line running in my head (that will probably never get written, just fun to think about through) where OC accidentally becomes the go-to masseuse and the chain uses her for weaponized care because they can sick her on the others when they won't accept help and they can't find it in themselves to say no to her–
It starts with Wind pulling something in his neck during a fight but he brushes it off, tries to be all bravado, but it keeps him from sleeping that night. OC wakes up to him really struggling with it, and offers to massage it a little since she also gets stiff necks from bending over a computer and studying constantly. It helps immensely, and Wind is finally able to sleep. A few days later, Sky's hand gets kinda frozen up from overuse/being clenched in a fist so much (a combination of both whittling in his off time and an entire day spent with sword in hand due to several ambushes). Wind picks up on it and deviously asks OC to help (despite Sky hissing at him not to) and once she comes over, Sky just can't say no. It helps a lot, and Wind actually wants to learn how to do hand massages too (so he can help his grandma when her hands get stiff from arthritis) and he starts trying to practice on everyone, much to their annoyance. 😂
After that, Wild gets a really sore shoulder and both Wind and Sky (like the gremlins they are) call OC over to help him. Wild, like Sky, is afraid to hurt OC's feelings (despite her clearly saying it's totally fine if they don't want her help) so he accepts. This process then repeats, and the ones who've already accepted her help get a lot of satisfaction out of sicking OC on the other Links and pressuring them into accepting care/a massage when they're being stubborn.
Last would probably be Legend, who either puffs up like an angry cat and flat out refuses, only to crumble under the pressure of the group when they say he's going to hurt her feelings (and then melts because that boi probably has some KNOTS in his shoulders from all his prickliness), OR would refuse and OC tells the others nicely to lay off and not pressure him; and then later, in a more private moment when the others aren't around to tease, OC sees him still in pain and offers again, and he finally gives in (and still melts because like you said he's probably touch starved) and who knows, maybe he even falls asleep right then and there and is really embarrassed waking up/on OC the next day, but feeling so much better– both his shoulders and his heart feel a little lighter~
Oh man- this is such a good idea. I should have done something like this when I got the prompt to give massages.
Just one by one- Reader comes in and starts collecting the boys like Pokémon to succumb to relaxation for the first time in forever. DX
I'm willing to bet Time get migraines and it's not long after Reader helps with Legend that they realize Time has been flinching and wincing all day. He's a little more unfocused than he normally is and there is a moment where he pinches the bridge of his nose despite no one doing anything.
The similar recipe follows.

Hello! This is my first time writing a request so I apologize if it's confusing. I saw one of your headcanon posts and I really liked it. I was wondering if you could maybe write some romantic headcanons for Arven (pokémon) with a transmasculine reader who has very invalidating family members? I personally have bad dysphoria and family issues and would appreciate if you could write this sometime; You may decline if you dont feel comfortable with this request, though.
-Pepper :D
not confusing at all, no worries. i hope you like it. i tried to do a little of both; comfort for dysphoria, and comfort for family issues.
arven x transmasc! reader w/ family issues
Tumblr media
When Arven first hears about your family issues, he's moreso angry on your behalf. He has his own share of family trauma, but for family members to not support you? It's beyond him.
You're so... so good, he thinks. How can't they see that?
"hey, do you want me to like... kill those guys for you?"
"what." "nothing."
If you'd like him to, in a situation where you have to interact with your family, he'll go with you as moral support.
he'll hold your hand and give you reassuring squeezes, and won't even flinch if you're practically holding on for dear life back.
He can't promise he'll be peaceful if he hears them say anything unsavory, but he'll try. for you.
watches them with a careful glare the whole time and will not hesitate to get the two of you out of there as soon as he thinks it's needed.
if not, he'll text you during it and wait for you when you get back.
they're usually reassuring words, pictures of Mabosstiff, or food. Will definitely make you something tasty afterwards.
it'll help motivate you and give you something to look forward to, and it keeps him busy, so it's a win-win for him.
"regardless of what they think... i know who you are. More importantly, you know who you are." followed up by a kiss to the top of your head.
if you bind, he'll hold onto your stuff for you if it's something you need to keep secret. will also wash your binder for you if you use one, etc
speaking of binding, reminds you to be safe and take breaks, all that stuff. he will not hesitate to wrangle you so you can give your body a break; he won't compromise your health if he has anything to say about it.
you somehow never cease to amaze Arven; this is no different, either.
he knows that it's not easy, being trans. he might not be able to relate to your struggle exactly, but he's aware of the great strength that's required to be true to yourself.
for that, you are already so much stronger than those who try to tell you otherwise.
when you're feeling dysphoric, he'll wrap you up in his vest and let you watch whatever you want on the TV in his dorm while he makes snacks.
His vest smells like him. It's an effective distraction!
Arven's always telling you how handsome you are anyways, but he's careful not to lay it on too thick when you're feeling like this. He doesn't want to come across as condescending.
He does, however, gush over how handsome you are if you go shopping together. He's more than happy to accompany you, and every time you come out of the changing room to get his opinion on something, his response is usually a playful wolf whistle.
DEFINETLY makes "what's cooking, good looking?" jokes almost every time.
you probably groan and roll your eyes at him, but it's very genuine. His comments may all kind of be the same, but it's only because he thinks you look good in anything.
more than anything, he wants you to be happy. seeing you be confident makes him happy in turn; he'll always support you no matter what.
sneakily buys sandwich toothpicks with little trans flags on them when you're not looking to put in your sandwiches
"Just know I love you, okay? Regardless of everything... you're so cool. I'm so proud of you."

This post contains spoilers for chapter 13 of Destructive Interference.
So. N. Looking forward to the comments to see if this made sense or not.
Quick summary of what was revealed in chapter 13: Ingo's Zorua siblings from Hisui were reincarnated as N and a Unovan Zoroark in modern times.
The in-universe explanation is basically just that sometimes Zorua spirits don't want to die and Ingo's Zorua brother and sister weren't done being part of Ingos story.
The real explanation is far longer.
Initially I was going to talk about this in Boss, Warden, Alpha (the unused but still posted epilogue where Ingo writes a memoir about the events of Masking) but I started writing Destructive Interference before I posted Boss, Warden, Alpha so this little detail was edited out:
Originally Ingo's Zorua brother was going to be a past incarnate of Emmet and Ingo's Zorua sister was going to be a past incarnate of Elesa.
Only two people have noticed this so far! I mostly edited it out of Masking but there are a few lines in the early chapters, especially chapter 1, that referenced this. The main thing that remained is that Ingo's sister/not-Elesa-anymore/Theta prefers to disguise herself as an Electric-type (Luxray) but there are a few other details intended to be foreshadowing were left in.
Note: Destructive Interference is a spin-off so Runt and Theta are not Emmet and Elesa or N in Masking. The timeline doesn't make sense for that.
To lay it out a little more clearly:
In Masking, Runt's ghost/soul (ghosts and souls are not the same thing in this fic but for convenience let's say they are) was taken from one of Lady Sneasler's kits. He goes to the modern world and was not further reincarnated. Ingo's sister's ghost/soul was taken from an Alpha Luxray. She remained in Hisui so it is still possible for her to be reincarnated as Elesa but I've never touched on this and don't plan to.
In Destructive Interference, Runt is a Sneasler kit turned Hisuian Zorua turned N. I never address if N is a Zoroark disguised as a human or not but it is implied that his past life as a Zorua is the reason he can understand Pokémon. Theta (Ingo's sister) was an Alpha Luxray turned Hisuian Zorua/Zoroark turned Unovan Zoroark. It is implied that N and Theta were reborn in modern Unova through "regular" means of reincarnation.
The original version of Masking had Ingo's Zorua siblings be "new" ghosts/souls. When they died in Hisui, they were reincarnated as Emmet and Elesa in modern Unova. I decided not to stick with this idea because I thought it was too complicated and would distract from my original intention with Masking (to explore how Zoroark illusions work but I gave up on that like halfway through and no one cared anyway).
I'm thinking about eventually doing another spin-off where I write out this idea of Emmet and Elesa as future lives of Runt and Theta but I don't want to commit to anything.
But back to Destructive Interference, it does seem kind of random that N and his Zoroark friend are Ingo's siblings and they're not in the fic for very long. This is intentional. Sometimes there are just regular people in stories that aren't main characters but affect the plot. Arceus just thought they deserved to know where their brother ended up and sent them to the future.
Runt and Theta totally could've been Emmet and Elesa in Destructive Interference but the appeal of the fic is waiting for Emmet's reaction when he learns Ingo is a Zoroark so if Emmet was also a Zoroark, I don't think it would be as satisfying.
TLDR; N and Theta are reincarnations of Ingo's Zorua siblings because they were always intended to be reincarnated.

a teenage (14-15ish) elesa to go with her fellow baby nimbasa city celebrities here!
(proof of process, notes and hcs under cut)
some notes:
why. why did her ace have to be a zebra of all things. no hate to the animal but fucking hell am i dreading the possibility of having to draw blitzle again, or worse, zebstrika. horse proportions + stripe patterns = a real tough cookie to draw. if i never draw elesa with her pokémon again this is probably why.
(actually while typing the above, i just realised her ace is black and white. really ties her association with unova / submas together which is pretty neat.)
on a more positive note, i had a lot of fun with the design! was going more based on her bw1 appearance (given it's closer on the timeline) but with the preppy popular kid look thrown into the mix.
her original hair colour is black (as in bw2) but here it's dyed blonde with blue streaks.
headcanons time: i was thinking elesa would've come from a rich family, with both her parents being successful businessmen who wanted the perfect daughter to show off. her image is definitely controlled by her parents to some extent - her clothes are fancy and expensive, but fairly normal. even her hair was first dyed blonde to match her father and give her parents the perfect blonde hair blue eyes daughter. fortunately, they aren't at home much, so elesa has some opportunities to make small changes such as the blue streaks and her jacket (more on that later).
despite her parents' expectations, elesa is in fact much more interested in fashion, design and battling. she's an intern gym trainer at the current nimbasa gym (was thinking the gym leader would be a musical actor but nothing concrete) to not only prove that she can strike out on her own without her parents, but also to hopefully secure her future once she turns 18 and can move out and cut contact with her parents. the gym leader has taken a shine to her, encourages her to follow her dreams and is already planning on making her their successor.
by the time of bw1, when elesa talks to bianca and her father to encourage them to let bianca go on her own journey, it's a reflection of her own growth as well - she followed her dream despite her parents and found her own happiness and success, and she wants to inspire other people to do the same.
between the twins, elesa is a lot closer to emmet at this point - in fact, she isn't really close to ingo at all. that comes later after she's known emmet for a longer time. her friendship with emmet surprises a lot of people bc it's literally the popular cool kid befriending the weird kid no one else really cares about (besides his brother).
on the other hand, this is exactly why they're friends - emmet is not only grateful to have any friends at all, but elesa is also someone frequently misunderstood because of her appearance, lonely and the right amount of silly (reminds him a bit of someone...). also she loves electric types which is verrry cool. elesa finds emmet's bluntness and genuineness extremely refreshing compared to how much everyone else works to pretend and fit in. he's also the first person to see her for who she actually is and not her parents or her reputation.
the jacket is a bargain buy she saw in a shop once when she and emmet were out on the streets, and she mentioned her parents wouldn't let her get such clothes as much as she loves the jacket. emmet bought it for her for her birthday.
her closeness to emmet but not ingo is reflected in her design - blue and white feature much more than black and red.
her blitzle's name is chromatic, or chrom for short. she doesn't know about fe awakening for the record.
as a trainer, while she definitely trains mostly electrics, she does have a few off-types for coverage outside work - a lilligant, cinccino, cryogonal and later togekiss.
proof of process

Can you tell more about your cannibal shaymin OC who hates being in land forme? idk her name but she seemed cool... I like pokémon OCs and she had a really neat look and vibe about her... any other poké OCs you have would be neat to learn more about too!
(Under the cut for courtesy.)
Whoa, so interesting for her to be remembered, I made her years ago... (2019 mayb?) She wasn't as developed as some other concepts of mine, I never settled on a name proper, but I think of her as named something kind of severe. Like 'Clarity'... in contrast with her very sick, hazy mind.
She's genuinely just a vvvvery very ill, disordered individual, I imagined her very troubled when developing as a baby, put-off and violent towards any littermates or parent figure. She's not very old... young adolescent? And her diet is 'improper', as shaymin aren't meant to predate on other pokes, so she is underweight as her body isn't absorbing nutrients properly. Though I think unlike our world, pokemon are magical, enough that there is some wiggle room, esp as a pseudo-legendary... so her diet won't kill her, just hobble her, maybe further her unwellness. It's not exactly a hunger like a normal predator, it is something possessing her to do this, I would say almost like a delusion (that this is her 'destiny' in some manner, that's why it 'feels so good'.)
Eventually she was slated to have a mate that was a very overweight vaporeon my wife developed, one that got really good at hunting in its own habitat ww... I knew my wife was thinking about her being drowned, pulled into the lake by him.
As for OCs, I have several, many were made during a particular winter in 2017 where me and my wife sat down to design several pkmn to pair with one another. :3 Most of them compiled here & most didn't get a name. I think only the zigzagoon had one, 'Dart'... His mate, the persian with a blue gem, is named Lapis. I remember their narrative was one where her owner desperately wishes to breed her for her rare color mutation, but she is so persnickety and will not deign any proposed sires... The owner isn't cruel so doesn't force anything into her. But then she becomes charmed by a dirty little stray zigzagoon and instead obsessively wants to groom, cuddle, mate with him lol, and the owner just has to be like sigh, if this is what she wants....
I believe the chinchou was paired with a goreabyss that was very saturated (from her successful diet, much bloodsucking done ww), they meet oneday and she decides to not... kill him, for now. (?) The shuppet paired with a swirlix that is repulsed by sweets, thus suffers from a poor diet also. When the swirlix is unwell, the shuppet is able to feed on her negative emotions, and when the swirlix gets nursed back to health by shuppet, then it is his turn to become lethargic and unwell (no longer able to feed from her.)
Butterfree, electrike etc. were all just design pitches, not developed.
Since I really like the 'chu line, I had various sonas of them also. I had a 'set' of 2 pichu which were 'composite sonas' to represent myself, born from the same egg but instead of recognizing one another as siblings, saw each other as halves of the same whole. Technically they have defects effecting their development, improper tails and one has lop ears (cartilage issue?) Their egg was abandoned, so they have no troupe, and they're unable to be kind to one another actually... so they're sort of doomed to die if no one takes care of them. There's alternate timelines where, if they're somehow very lucky, they are able to evolve into pikachu/raichu... but then just become absolute monsters like that. Like I mean flat out going to become rapists kfkfkf
The pikachu, Muka, was an exploration of if those pichu weren't born separately, instead combining into 1 being. In this case, the lop-eared one would be melanistic (which I sometimes think of 'shadow' pokemon as being that in this world) ; the result is Muka is very visibly a chimera. He is still abandoned as an egg, and development was very difficult, but he has a 'more complete mind', less fractured.
One of my most recent sonas was Hondew, I made him like, early ~2021 or something... another chimera. (This concept stuck w/ me for a sec...) I have a write-up of him still:
"As a trapinch (and vibrava) he was a very simple minded creature, highly food motivated. would overeat if he could. but he was just getting by in the desert and could only do so much. Surviving to his final evolution was good fortune. The resulting intelligence and stats boost... are used all towards his high food drive. but now he also has the ability to enjoy playing with his food, and devise ways to hurt things.
his moveset is focused on paralysis (mean look, thunder fang) to slow things down and avoid giving chase(or being chased). he's not a fast flier, nor can he fly very high. as he gets fatter and less mobile, it means he problem solves how to work around these things. enabling him further..
he delights in eating baby pokemon and eggs, there's a sick enjoyment in doing so. and he clears the area of unwanted competition by making an inhospitable environment where there's a dirty rotten baby eater on the loose ! :(
He'll never pick a fight directly with a pokemon as high leveled as him. he has patience and tenacity on his side. he will play the long con of harassing you, tormenting you, and evading you with a tricky moveset. and most pokemon just would rather live elsewhere, where the competition is more manageable and there isn't a huge jerk nipping at your heels every second.
he likes to manipulate things in his hands, and the frequent use makes them more dextrous than most flygons. he can often be seen holding something. meticulously running his claws over it. in the case of avvy's shinx, he loves to touch her fur and carries her around everywhere. she's very novel, as shinx are not native to his deserts. he keeps her on a whim, but grows very attached to her over time"
Aside from him I think my most recent exploits were these other unnamed ones, a salandit and a togekiss. The togekiss is there to love and fuss and chuff over the little archen that nips at it, and the salandit is endlessly consuming cutiefly. I have a liepard and nidorino in the works, but they're indistinct in my mind still...
(Often I suppose naming the pokemon doesn't always come to mind bc they are equivalent to wild animals & sometimes it just doesn't really feel important or cross the mind.)
My only other OCs I belieeeve are in PMD verse, compiled here. Their narratives are not very different from the plot of their respective games. I think only the PMD sky set of phanpy (Vvyrd) and vulpix (Vivi) deviate, as Vivi evolves and her nature changes as a ninetales, she eventually steals Vvyrd away into the mountains to live in isolation. The skitty/mudkip were only from playing the demo fr DX so I don't think they had proper names... The super team was of a bulbasaur (Periwinkle) and fennekin (Wish) !
That's!!!!!!!!! Everything I think...........

Pokémon headcanons pls
thank you... here's a smattering of them:
Lan Xichen is, technically, the Dragon gym leader, but he has a lot of free time because Wangji steamrolls most gym challengers before they ever get to him. As a result, he volunteers at the pokemon daycare/nursery next door most of the time - hence the cute pokemon breeder overalls outfit (made for me, specifically). I really enjoy the mental image of a particularly good challenger managing to eventually defeat LWJ (say, a Wei Wuxian maybe?) so we have LXC rushing in from the side door, armful of baby pokemon squealing at him before he hands them over to Wangji and proceeds to put on his Trademark Gym Leader Longcoat or something equally cool looking. Gap moe.
Btw, the twin jades have twin dragonairs named Shuoyue and Bichen (we will not be referencing the incense burner extra in this AU).
NMJ is the steel gym leader, signature pokemon being Steelix and Honedge, of course. Huaisang is a PokeFan who only cares for bird pokemon and has no interest in taking up the mantle. He is also a streamer and a vlogger, he does the commentary for gym battles to make himself useful in ways that do not require battling. Once he asked LXC to breed a swablu for him, LXC just said "no :)" and he's still sulking about it.
Meng Yao started his adventure late, because he had no pokemon of his own until he found a Ditto in a trashcan. Later on, he adopts a Cubone because they're thematically perfect for each other. He also probably attracts a few very suspicious fox pokemon over the course of his journey. At some point he convinced JGS to hire him with the promise he'll bring him a Legendary, probably. (This absolutey cannot end well.) JGS is pretty much the Giovanni of this AU, while publicly he sponsors the Elite Four etc.
Wei Wuxian is a ghost pokemon expert, but he also likes doing infuriating tricks like the Magikarp sweep. Jiang Cheng thinks that's not "real battling" but keeps coming back for more. They're definitely racing to see who becomes Champion first.

Hi did you know I love your Pokémon posts so fucking much. Purrs. Anyway if you have literally any other ideas for like Pokémon au stuff PLEASE go ahead use this ask for it. If you want. But either way much love
Tumblr media
TEEHEEEE HIII ELVIS !!! PAWING AT YOU <33 I WOULD LOVE TO RANT ABOUT FERRIS THEY'RE MY FAVORITE LITTLE THANG !!! And now that you mention it, I will use it as a Hook to also assign Pokémon to some of Archer's Other Coworkers !! Enjoy <3
– FERRIS [Fairy, but very flexible ! I like to think Ferris isn't much of a battler and only has pokemon for convenience like travel and cutting through bushes, or for cuteness <3]
Dedenne [Literally such a them pokemon there's no way around it. This thing looks almost exactly like how I see Ferris in my mind's eye and I think they know it too. It's also probably their starter back when they thought they were gonna battle for real, only to find out that Oh This Is Hard and You Don't Evolve ... Let's not do this then !]
Togepi -> Togetic [I like to think Ferris would feed stray pokemon whenever they can, and sometimes it results in them getting pokemon to stay with them even though it's not the intention. Togepi was that exact case <3 it's very lucky that it's adorable because Ferris didn't have the heart to release it anymore.]
Whimsicott [Likely the ace of their team, becuase even though Whimsicott isn't a super strong pokemon, when utilized properly in a strategy Ferris manages to make it at least feel invincible. Fluffy lil' fellow <3 fits with their aesthetic too]
– HARVEY (*better known as just KELLER) [Electric, but in the sense that he doesn't actually have pokemon just because and is forced by the company to have a team. Guy who doesn't wanna participate in your fucking gym core. All his pokemon are given to him as property of Maliwan, so at least he's not mistreating them]
Rotom [Given as an initiation mon for everyone in the company. Surprisingly affectionate with Keller despite him heing The Worst and never reciprocating it, but alas, it does not know that.]
Electrode [Much of the same idea as the first one, but even more so. Again, Keller isn't super interested in pokemon as a whole and would rather have None, but since he's being forced to, he opted for the ball with a face on it because he figured it wouldn't be too much work to care for. And it isn't !]
– Toshiro (*better known as YONNE) [Fire/Electric. Used to be a trainer before he joined the company, but then got a projectile to the knee and was forced to retire. Sad !]
Rotom [Again, initiation pokemon for company, but Yonne actually does like his. When they aren't being constantly watched by other investors and what have you, I like to think he gives his tons of pampering.]
Ninetales [His ex-ace that he no longer can use due to mostly working in an office space and it being a fire type, but that he still cherishes even if it reminds him of better days. Definetly his starter pokemon too, probably given to him by his parents.]
Elekid -> Electavire [Technically wasn't supposed to be his, because all he was supposed to do was hold onto it and train it for the company, but then it evolved and got way too attached, so now it is. Kind of scared of it because of how big it's gotten since it was a baby, but hey, it's still his baby.]
– THALIA [Ground/Electric, still a trainer in her spare time, but really mostly forced to be stationary in the company floor.]
Manetric [Her initiation pokemon and her second favorite ever. She was already an electric type enjoyer even before she joined the company, so her appreciation for them grew even further when she got it as a thank you gift from the higher ups. That's her pet dogy <3]
Mudsdale [Her actual starter, and also her actual favorite pokemon ever. Has been with her since she was a kid and is a very old thing, but nevertheless very sturdy that has always been by her side. I like to think instead of going to work in normal ways she just rides a horse there. For funsies.]
Rotom [She doesn't really feel anything towards it try as she might. It's just another tool for work. And it's very sad about as well]
Hippowdon [Has been with her since she started her journey and she adores this fucking thing even though it is insanely powerful and can crush a car like a soda can. It is no longer allowed near office for doing exactly that.]
FANK YOU FOR ASKINGGG I CARE YIUUUUU <3333

If you don't mind me making another long post, I'll talk about the current view I had for a part 2 and the what I thought of the characters first thought of the twins. Feel free to correct anything I miss interpretate, we currently don't have too much about the town's folks individual options on the twins and their Pokémon.
I sorted the town's folks into categories based on their opinion on Pokémon instead of the twins themselves but quite a few probably would be cut from the actual chapter unless I made a part 3
Likes Pokémon:
Jas, Vincent, Evelyn, George, Wizard
(George likes Pokémon but doesn't appear to, kinda like the dog owner who insults their dog but still gives it a treat. He might like their Pokémon but he doesn't like the twins because he doesn't want them to mess up the train station.)
Lukewarm about Pokémon:
Alex, Elliott, Harvey, Emily, Leah, Maru, Penny, Caroline, Clint, Gil, Gunther, Linus, Marlon, Marnie, Robin, Willy
(Alex, Elliott, Emily, Maru and Penny are all scared of Pokémon but think they're interest/cool but will observe from a safe distance. Penny is the most scared but also most intrigued)
(Harvey, Leah, Caroline, Linus, Marnie and Willy are scared of Pokémon but have more a neutral option of them and see they more like unprodicatable animals. Harvey favours Klinklang since its the least dangerous looking (and I like to think the Klink line is associated with anything with mechanics like the air force). Linus has mixed feelings about Garbodor, he feels a kinship since they're outcast but has a dislike since she might steal his dinner.)
(Clint, Gil, Gunther, Marlon and Robin are scared of Pokémon but aware that they can be tamed and are often used in their jobs outside of Stardew. Clint would like Boldore. Robin would like Gurdurr. Gunther is aware of fossil Pokémon.)
Plain fear of Pokémon:
Sam, Sebastian, Abigail, Hailey, Gus, Jodi, Lewis
(Sam, Sebastian and Lewis try not to show their fear but would run away if a Pokémon got too close.)
Hostility towards Pokémon:
Shane, Demetrius, Kent, Pam, Pierre
(All hostility mainly stems from parental overprotectiveness but witha small. Since Pam was the original bus driver, she possibly had seen some Pokémon battles outside of Stardew and seen how strong they could get. Kent is probably the only one to never fully like Pokémon.)
HI! Doctorsparkle here! Takadanobaba showed me your ask and well ... he is letting me take the stage on this main replay! I got to say tho Kraken! You are on the right tracks! I have to say you are amazing for paying attention to so many details and nuggets we have placed throughout various posts!
Your fanfic based on the mod is amazing as well and we are glad for all the ideas you have thrown at us. It really helps us when we are stumped.
Few things about some characters.
George - George’s relationship with Submas Twins is - Tolerating their presence.
Ingo and Emmet have a good relation with their wife, Evelyn, and they know that Evelyn adores Pokémon. (He knew she had one, as did he... when they where in their younger years before Stardew got rid of them. Evelyn had a Bellosom. While George problem had a a Crab-Related Pokemon. Like Krabby or Dwebble, really family Pokémon. They weren't trainers, just average folk.)
And since they have a good relation with the wife, well, you know the saying, happy wife. Happy life. As for his views on the train station.. he really doesn’t care… simply due to his age, him being wheelchair bound... and there has been dialogue related to him how he isn’t religious but since he is up there in age he preys to Yoba. (To which I can relate to, George and Evelyn as characters based on my own personal experiences with older family members.)
So really he doesn’t like the twins but as long as his wife is happy and the Pokémon are nice. He doesn’t care what they do… He's probably glad to have some form of company.
Harvey - Harvey is most definitely going to like Klinklang, however, he still views it as dangerous. Every Pokémon the Submas twins has is dangerous in their own way…. For Klinklang tho… well... giant spinning gears. And moving parts. If anyone who has worked with heavy equipment or machinery. Gears and sharp can be dangerous. Get your clothing stuck in there and well— RIP your arm or leg. Or your favorite outfit. He will still be wary and cautious about all moving parts on a Pokémon. Organic or Mechanical. Hence why he harps on the twins about their health more than anything. It's a hate-love relationship. Think of a nagging parent. He doesn’t outright dislike Pokémon but he just can’t turn off his doctor brain. Ya know?
Views on Job Related Pokemon
(Robin, Clint, etc) - LOVE THIS TO BITS! However, do keep in mind that Stardew Valley is isolated… it is a separate region. So, unless you're someone like Pam who travel across Stardew Valley. You're not going to see a Pokemon. Or a Pokemon Battle. I bet you no one even knows what a Pokemon Battle is.
I think they would learn about how Pokemon can help them with their own professions through casual talks with the Submas Twins when they have to say ask Robin for a commission or head down to Clint's to get some metal work done. The knowledge of Pokémon is lacking…. Which feeds into the fear and stigmatization of them. Knowledge is power. The government will most likely be censoring Pokémon related media... except for a few things that fall through the cracks like fashion magazines.
Which we’ll segway into… Hailey and Emily - They will most definitely fear Pokémon, however, we have some plans for the two with Elesa! They will know a little bit about Pokémon but only through fashion magazines. So think cute Pokémon like Happiny or Pachirisu. Anything bigger then a cat… forget it. They will be terrified of all of Submas Pokémon but over time it’ll dull down… they’ll still be jumpy but its not an outright dislike. Just... they prefer to see them from afar or in fashionable clothing in a book or magazine.
Gus - Definitely a fear of Pokemon... however! There are some exceptions. Joltik. And Garbador. Joltik I won’t go into details just yet, but one shows up in an event where Gus is. Garbador tho, think of Linus. Gus will most likely think of Garbador like Linus… so he isn’t scared of them. Plus. They keep the trash clean… so no raccoons or rats near the establishment. Lol. He'd be happy that no food/trash would go to waste and they make less of a mess than the other scavengers, so it's better to have it go to them.
Demetrius - Now he is a complicated one. I would say yes to hating Pokémon HOWEVER, there is definitely some character growth and development with him simply due to how Maru interacts with Pokémon and how much Stardew Valley is changing.
There is dialogue about Demetrius saying it's better that Stardew Valley- or this case the Ferngill Republic- is isolated. He could hate the Pokémon and dislike the twins at first because they are breaking the norm.
Maru, on the other hand, is absolutely fascinated about the changes. Scared and wary, but in awe of the Pokémon. The scientist in her is wanting to challenge the norm, while Demetrius is conservative and stuck in his ways… we’re also not a 100% concrete on this concept yet due to needing to double check dialogue and how his personality is in game but for Demetrius definitely a character development kinda guy.
As for how Stardew Valley relates globally with the Pokémon world stuff, I have been going off of the Setting article on this Wiki here
It shows a very pixel crude map of Ferngill Republic and Gotoro Empire. They are both continents or in this case regions.
You can’t drive to Ferngill Republic through Unova or any other Pokémon region. Only way to get there is by flight and then travel by bus. However when the train-station is up and running there will be Surfliner Routes, theoretical underwater train lines, or a giant bridge.
In Black and White and Black and White 2 there are the Wifi-Lines. I believe these to be international lines that connect to other regions. So, say for example, a train from Kalos deciding to go to Unova via this Wifi-Line or the Cyan Line. etc. etc. since Stardew Valley and Ferngill Republic has been isolated, banned on Pokémon etc. Passenger lines cannot travel on these train lines… also with the state of the station in Stardew, it probably isn't the best either.
The Ferngill Republic, however, conducts Agricultural and Economic trade with the other regions. Tomatos, meat, etc. due to possibly how taboo it is in some regions to kill and to eat Pokémon. Even though Magikarp and Slowpoke Tails might be a delicacy... the culture surrounding Pokémon as being our friends, family, partners in life... well you wouldn't want to murder Mr. Mittens now would you. That wouldn't sit right with some people.
So with the train station being rebuilt, expect a lot more economical benefits etc. and trade.
Hope this least clears up some things but also.. I just info-dumped like Ingo LOLOL. Aaaaaah…. Theres definitely a lot more I can write. Guess you can say… i’m like Lore Keeper Dani from Criticalrole. Anyway! Hope you enjoy this long reply to chew on!

Tidbits about the lepom pokémon boys✨️
Just some little things to know about our fav legendary boys, Papyrus and Sans! You can read their home and backstory here!
The pair of brothers are both psychic types, but I'm not entirely sure about their secondary typing. For sans I'm thinking either psychic/normal or psychic/dragon, and for papyrus either psychic/fire or psychic/fighting. The size of their true forms is somewhat small for a legendary, more akin to the size of Latios and Latias: person sized! Actually these two seem to have inspired the boys’ designs in my mind: not too big, somewhat friendly but definitely not an average pokemon!
Interestingly enough, if anyone describes the boys’ human form, the description will always be focused on their personalities and some rough descriptions of their appearance at best. People remember Papyrus being tall and loud, that's for sure! And Sans is definitely a lot smaller! A laid-back dude!  Oh what did he wear yesterday? Good question!  …I don’t remember… … Skin color? Oh yeah he sure had one… Hmmm…  Anyway yesterday Sans pranked the candy store owner with a whoopee cushion??!?-
Papyrus would love to help people train their pokémon! He adores the bond between trainers and their pokémon, and thrives off of their passion and determination! People would ask him about his team when he offers though, and that just gets them a fidgety “oh would you look at the time! It sure seems evident that I am needed to help with market preparations! But perhaps we’ll spar! Next time!”. Then he does an impressive leap into an open window of a random house and he’s gone. What a guy. You can also ask him to help you prepare for beauty contests. He has a very good eye for those, and although his choices are… non-standard, they have a 80% chance of actually being really, really good.
Sans doesn't really care for or about battling, but if you ask him about beauty contests he’ll at least humor you by joining you for prep time. His suggestions are ridiculous and none of it is helpful. He does seem to be enjoying himself though, and if he’s tired enough you can use props and make-up on him to make him look silly “to match his attitude :p”. If anything, prepping with him does make you and your team far less nervous. No judge could ever give you feedback that's more outta left field or ridiculous than he and his brother can, so you can handle anything now!
Papyrus definitely still gets lovingly attacked by dog pokémon all the time. He’s a magnet for them, they love him! His reaction can be best described as “exit, pursued by bear dog”. I mean it doesn't always happen, but they do like to mess with him, so it is also often times the other way around. Don’t try and keep an important conversation with him when there's dog pokémon nearby, because you will be interrupted!
Sans will tell you what your pokémon are thinking/saying unprompted. This tends to feel like he’s doing a bit, but he’s always telling the truth, or at least a half-truth. The bit is that he’s not doing a bit. What a funny guy!
Papyrus' cooking is in an odd position here: if there's a person to supervise and give advice, Papyrus can actually make a few really tasty dishes! However if left alone he doesn't really realize the way certain appliances work, and might experiment with ingredients that only certain pokemon or humans can eat, like uncooked wheat! Or pokemon berries! Or rocks! He’s personally not the biggest fan of rocks, but he has friends who love them! Sans absolutely does not count as supervision by the way. He doesn’t care what is made as long as his bro is happy, and if the kitchen is burned down in the process he’ll probably sleep through it anyway.
Despite him having the personality of a “dude who has a little truck he hangs out the window from to talk to u”, the only thing people actually see Sans drive are the tricycles he “borrows” from the town kids. Does he do it to entertain them or does he genuinely think they're fun? Hard to tell. The teens in town like to point at silly cars and other vehicles they see and tell each other it's his. He thinks it's hilarious and definitely plays into it.
Sans is the kind of guy who will walk you home at night if you work late shifts, and Papyrus will princess carry you if you are injured, even if it's just a scraped knee. In both cases, enjoy the view!
Most of their rare time away from any people or pokémon is spent either protecting everyone from an evil team or from agitated pokémon from the mountain. The latter tend to be ghost pokémon and pokémon living in harsh conditions, so no one really blames them for being irritable. These pokémon have been acting up far less the past few weeks though. Perhaps something happened?

howdy there! was wondering if you could do a mewtwo!reader that manages to wound up in paldea after escaping team rocket back in kanto as they experimented on the poor reader for GOD knows how long and they eventually encouter our beloved trio (nemona, arven & penny) and are put on EXTREMELY high alert because the reader is still convinced that everyone is out for them but the trio manage to calm the genetic psychic pokemon's savage nature and at least allow them to rest up and let their wounds heal? (bonus points if the reader trusts em enough to allow to be captured but thats entirely up to you)
At some point, you realized that no place in Kanto was safe anymore...as Team Rocket was searching for you far and wide.
All just for the chance to recapture you and subject you to even more cruel experiments.
You've dealt with them since the moment you were born, those damned scientists determined to push past the limits of your powers to further their own agenda.
How many more scars must they leave on your body? How much more of your psychic energy will be drained until they're satisfied??
You've had enough.
The only thing left to do was leave the safety of Cerulean Cave..but of course, the organization wasn't about to let you walk out without a fight.
They anticipated your escape, cornering you with their strongest bug, dark, and ghost types.
The lead grunt even illegally manufactured a master ball, hoping to catch you without fail.
Yet you unleashed your fury in the form of a massive psychic wave, not only destroying that, but also causing every Pokémon and human to collapse. Then you made your escape as the cave began crumbling.
You didn't care if they made it out alive or not....this world was better off without human scum like them.
And their Pokémon? They were nothing but traitors to their kind.
Eventually, you arrived in Paldea and took shelter near some ruins, your psychic energy spent from teleporting all the way here and your wounds not fully healing yet-
"Dios mio!! Is that a Mewtwo????"
Aaaaand you're on high alert once again, barely able to get a moment's rest.
You could see three young human trainers approaching, two in what looked like school uniforms and the other with a hoodie and some kind of Eevee on her back.
Despite your exhaustion, you refused to let them see you in such a vulnerable state, staring them down as your eyes glowed with what little psychic energy you had left.
All humans were out to get you. If not a scientist who wanted to experiment on you...it would be a trainer who wanted to show you off like some trophy--either way, both wanted to use you as a weapon.
"I will only ask you once...leave me alone, or I will destroy you all." You warn.
Nemona confused on who's speaking at first, but quickly realizes it's you and tries to calm you down.
However, your focus shifts to Arven's Mabosstiff and you try attacking him....yet you're barely able to lift him off the ground before your strength wanes once again, dropping him.
Arven's furious, ready to go over and punch you (like Ash Ketchum in the first movie), but while he's held back by the two girls...you wondered why he reacted that way.
"How curious...you'd rather throw yourself in front of your own Pokémon instead of sending him after me? Why is that, Arven?"
"B-Because the last time I made him fight a powerful Pokémon I never met before, he was...he...." He doesn't finish, but you understood.
And in that moment, your eyes opened a little bit more, finally gaining some clarity as you gaze at his companion.
"Your Mabosstiff was mortally wounded in the past, but he was cured...and neither of you wish to live through that pain again."
"Wha....how did you know?"
"He told me." You gestured to the dark type with a small smile, hearing his woof of agreement. "I see he is your best friend, not some tool. Perhaps I was wrong to think all humans are selfish monsters.."
"I mean, we did save Paldea's ecosystem from being wrecked!" Nemona added cheerfully.
"It's true," Penny nodded. "But look, uh...Mewtwo..we're not your enemy. Obviously you're still hurt. You don't have to keep fighting like this. We can help you out, but..only if you let us."
You'd tell her you can manage, but the fact you couldn't even stand back up without great pain proved her point.
So in the end, you allow the trio to heal you with some potions and give you the chance to rest, reassuring you that Team Rocket can't follow you here.
You refused to be taken to any Pokémon Center as to not be seen by too many humans.
However, you'll stick around the three whenever they venture out into Paldea, teleporting into their dorms sometimes just to see what they're up to, protecting them from harm, etc.
Nemona hoped to capture you, though she respects your wishes to live freely. It's what you deserve after all you've been through.

Glitchy Red Headcanons for Connection
Thought I'd share some (mostly) spoiler-free headcanons for my Glitchy Red fic just for fun. With what I have posted so far these should all be pretty obvious, but there's a couple more things I want to hint at for the story. Some are just random tidbits that have no reason for existing other than just because.
In my mind, Red is something between a glitch, an AI, and a supernatural entity.
The longer a player interacts with the game, the stronger Red gets. He'd been left dormant for so long that when Leann found him, he hardly had any of his old abilities and was borderline an amnesiac. All he had at that point was his bitter hatred of players and the glitches. Her keeping the game on for so long has allowed him to become himself again.
The glitches he experienced broke him in every way imaginable. Hence the reason it takes him some time to snap into his real self.
Despite all his talk, he has no idea what he is or how he exists. He can't be bothered to care.
Theoretically he could be transferred into a PC or some other more powerful device, but due to the broken nature of his code and the fact he doesn't fully understand what proper programming is, it likely wouldn't end well for whatever he's put in. He's a stubborn bastard now so he'd be fine, but the computer would be bricked.
I feel like, just for shits and giggles, Red's "data" is this impossibly convoluted mess of code that is somehow much larger than it should be. He exists within the Pokémon Red cart, along with the entire game, and this mofo is like, 8GB of data by himself. Makes no sense. Something mind-bogglingly stupid like that.
There's more below the cut, and beware potential spoilers for stuff I haven't written.
Now for some fun ideas I have that I kind of want to do stuff with but I don't know if I'll include it in Connection or not.
Red is powerful enough to physically haunt a person. Only the person claiming ownership over the cartridge can see and hear him. Likewise, Red can only interact with them and no one else. He mostly uses this fact to stare intimidatingly from the corner of a dark room, a la sleep paralysis demon, or just watch them while they struggle to ignore his presence and go about their lives.
In the past he's gone far enough with this that he's tormented players to the point of people thinking they've gone insane. And they pretty much were by that point.
Red's other preferred ghost tactic is to swat things from their hands or wake them up in the middle of the night by prodding at them. Or screaming right in their face.
Unless the player passes the game along to some other poor sap, they'll be stuck with him indefinitely.
The game cannot be destroyed. It lets off major fuck-you energy to anyone who tries. Smash it to bits with a hammer? Lol. Set it on fire? Got any marshmallows? Throw it into a lake? Well, I'd almost say good job but did I forget to mention that the only other thing Red can interact with is his game? Whoops. Hope you don't mind him letting himself back in to give you an earful for throwing him away like that. And no, water can't damage it either.
This is of no deliberate choice from Red. He'd love to let the game be destroyed so he can stop existing in pure agony. The damn thing just won't die though, and subsequently, neither will he.
He doesn't really have anything against kids. Mind you, he doesn't like kids since he gained sapience, but he can tolerate them more than adults. At least children have the excuse of being naïve and clueless when they're breaking the game. Usually. He'll give them the benefit of the doubt. Adults who come back to witness the broken horror of the original game know full-well what they're doing and he can't stand it.
He won't do much to torment kids aside from his usual in-game antics. The adult players are the ones who get thrown out of bed at 3am or have their dreams haunted.
The developers were adults too so the hatred's also pretty obvious. He'd love to get his hands on them some day. He has a paranoid side that is whole-heartedly convinced they're out there looking for his cart, ready to erase him and be rid of the stain on their record.
It's been a while since someone last turned the game on. He seems to have a bit of reputation now.
Has zero concept of the internet but could probably figure it out.
He doesn't hate the new gens so much just because they replaced him. He loathes the fact that they are all genuinely better than he'll ever be. He and his game are broken, not good enough, and now that he has self-awareness he realizes he was never meant to be anything special. He was simply a stepping-stone, a learning curve meant to kickstart an idea. He was, isn't, and never will be anything more than that. His only legacy is how glitchy his game is.
He's very aware of the irony that the very thing that made him what he is, is the whole reason why he was deemed a failure by his creators. If you're smart, you won't bring it up.
I have more, but I think I should stop. I could talk about this little project of mine for hours. Or any project for that matter. If anyone would like to hear more of my deranged ramblings they're more than welcome to ask. 😅

EVERYONE'S POKEMON THEMES
Because I'm bored.
Raph:
youtube
Bright and happy, but still intense. The theme exemplifies Leon's power, but also shows that the battle is fun. Everyone-the people in the audience, your Pokémon, the trainers, you'll all having a blast giving each other everything you've got. Leon's 'greatest champion ever' schtick is definitely annoying, but his battle style is wave after wave of unstoppable, insane amounts of power, and I feel like that's very Raph of him.
Plus he just looks like he'd be fun to hug.
Leo:
youtube
At first I thought this might be a little dark for Leo, but even in canon Leo is quite a bit more emo than he outwardly shows. The music is fast, the heavy beat in the background giving a sense of immense but guarded power, like you'd only see the full extent of Zinnia's power in the seconds before she killed you. And the, for lack of a better word, feminine riffs give the whole thing a very unique edge to it. I feel like that's perfect for Leo. Outwardly intimidating, yes, but his true power he keeps hidden away, and it runs very, very deep.
As a side note, I feel like Leo would use fairy types.
Donnie:
youtube
...Do I even have to say anything else?
For real, I love how this theme is so spooky and intense and the Recon Squad looks so intimidating, but every one of these guys is actually a precious cinnamon roll. They could absolutely murder you with their pinky finger, but that's not what they're about. Donnie is...maybe not so morally white, but at his core he will always stand for good. He's allowed a few villain arcs here and there, and by villain arcs he means he'll dress up and have a few villainous monologues before getting bored with the whole thing.
Mikey:
youtube
YES WITH THE DRESS TOO.
But for real, this theme goes so hard. The whole thing is poppy, bubbly, interspersed with a harder counter-melody with what sounds like bell tolls played over it. This is a very calculated sound. Iris is one of the harder champions to beat, made even more impressive by the fact that she's supposed to be eleven or twelve. She, like the player in every game, is a legitimate child prodigy. This theme is meant to hammer in the fact-yes, she's a child, she's silly and likes pink and poofy dresses, and she is immensely powerful. If you underestimate her she will steamroll right over you, and this is just the beginning for her-she will only get more powerful from here. That childlike zest, the overwhelming power in spite of people's expectations-that's Mikey.
(other half under the cut so it's not too long)
April:
youtube
I feel like this sort of intensity just matches April very well. It's super modern, it feels like city streetlights and neon signs, but there's this edge of lightness to it. We're going hardcore here, but we're still having fun! (It's fun because we're putting our whole pussies into it)
Splinter:

This version in particular! It gives a sense of spiraling at the beginning, an "oh shit" moment when you realize you're locked into battle with a leader that gave you trouble as a child-and they've only gotten stronger. The pace is fast, intense, almost overwhelmingly so, and even when the beat lets up it doesn't do it by much. Since it's a remix of the Kanto Gym Leader theme we've had since the very first game in the nineties, it has an older and almost nostalgic edge to it. But these are some of the final bosses of the game-you face these leaders as a Champion and they come at you like one.
I feel like that's pretty fitting for Splinter. He's old, but he's grown more powerful with age. If you face off with him, you will be very quickly thinking "oh shit."
Cassandra:
youtube
The theme is fast and chaotic, almost manic, representing Bede's lack of stability and family. He's desperate for someone to care about him, to fit in somewhere. This fits with the backstory I've given Cass-parents are both addicts, issues with growing up in poverty and being in and out of foster care. Even though her dad is still present in her life and does love her, he's not exactly a stable presence and their relationship is very strained, and that affects Cass a lot more than she wants to admit. She's straining to find someone to emulate and puts everything into impressing every parental figure she meets, first with the Foot Dads and then with Draxum.
Also the chaos just fits Cass's balls-to-the-wall personality.
Draxum:
youtube
Like. Ideology-wise, he's probably closer to Maxie and Archie, especially considering after you beat them they're basically like "well that sucks, guess I'm your dad now." But this theme was really the only thing dark and edgy enough for him.
This is probably how he thinks of himself; Season 2 Draxum would have a totally different theme.
Bonus! Bella:
youtube
Not that she would necessarily be the most powerful...but the vibes. These are absolutely her vibes. She goes hard and is smart about it. You should be terrified.

Okay okay okay, so- Hear me out. I’ve got an AU (…AM? Alternate Multiverse?) idea that could go the way or horror, humor, or both, spawned by your mention of the evil team in your Pokémon AU. I’m never gonna do anything with this, but it made me laugh and I wanted to share it and see where you’d go with it (your AUs/AMs are fun sue me!!!).
So. Consider this, if you will- Dream and Blue decide to try and be a lil silly with Ink for whatever reason. Payback for a prank? April Fool’s? The reason isn’t important, what’s important is that they decide “go big or go home” and enlist a few AUs to pretend to worship Ink as a god in some weird, Ink-oriented cult. Why a cult? Who knows, maybe they got drunk and ran with it. Maybe they were feeling chaotic. The idea is that Ink will go to these AUs, find the “fake cult,” and try to figure out what the hell happened, this isn’t in the script??? Before Dream and Blue eventually reveal their Dastardly Prank (and they intend to reveal it, they abide by the confuse don’t abuse rule!) and have a good laugh together!
Except there’s one teeny tiny… Itsy bitsy little problem with that.
Somehow, someway, the AUs didn’t get the memo that the cult was meant to be pretend, and now there’s a real, actual Ink Cult spanning the goddamn multiverse that’s rapidly growing. There are rituals and prayers going around, they’ve heard whispers about sacrifices (of what, they aren’t sure- art supplies???), someone started a goddamn holiday, it’s all a mess, really.
Depending on how you take it, you could go a humorous route and have Blue and Dream frantically trying to hide this from Ink while fixing the entire mess, or at least mitigating it somewhat (stop trying to sacrifice actual people- they don’t care that it’s willing, use cupcakes or paints or something!!!), to varying degrees of success… Or you could go a more horror oriented route of Dream and Blue frantically trying to keep their friend out of the grasp of his rapidly growing worshippers, all while wondering how everything went so damn wrong and stars, they’re so sorry, Ink-
Anyways yeah, Accidental Cult AU/AM go brrr.
Ah, splendid. I just call all of my alternate multiverses AUs, it helps me with consistency and everyone knows what it means. I don't know which idea I like better, the funnier one or the more horror-oriented one. So! I'm going to address both of them separately!
Also I'm glad to hear you find my AUs fun to read about, making AUs is one of my biggest hobbies rn-
~Funny Version~
For once, Ink's not the one who caused the problem. This is already going wonderfully, my baby's innocent
The idea of the cults trying to sacrifice actual people to Ink is hilarious. I can picture Dream and Blue trying to discourage it by saying that Ink doesn't condone this kind of behavior, which is true, but with varying degrees of effectiveness. Ink will, however, accept food and art supplies any day of the week
They have to enlist CORE's help in tracking the cults' activities, much to CORE's displeasure. How did they let the situation get so out of hand? They're sorry, CORE! They didn't think this would happen!
I can't tell what would be funnier: Ink being painfully oblivious of their involvement (how did the AUs even find out about him? He keeps himself well-hidden, he thinks!) or Ink being entirely aware, but pretending to be dumb. He wants to see if they can handle it on their own, first
Just the image of Dream and Blue trying to keep the cults hidden from Ink is golden. Especially if they eventually cave and tell Ink about it, expecting him to freak out... only for him to either wonder how they did it or him laugh and tell them he already knew about them
Imagine the cults have like, shrines dedicated to Ink. Little Ink statues
What if, in this version, the cults aren't even all that dangerous? Their rituals are more along the lines of "We must pray to the Protector and give him offerings, so that he may ward the Destroyer off from our world!" Just silly things like that
~Horror Version~
Dream and Blue's efforts to stop the cults from using live sacrifices are less successful here
You mentioned they're trying to keep Ink away from the cults, so let's take a look at what might happen if they were to get him
They wouldn't do anything bad to him, of course, but it's a very... odd situation. Ink's being surrounded by these cloaked figures showering him with praises and worship. And when he tries to leave, they won't let him, so he kinda... has to resort to extremes
Maybe the cults start treating Dream and Blue as Ink's messengers or heralds, of sorts. Not just to "deliver his words", but to also relay the cults' prayers and wishes
Alternatively, maybe some cults start going even more rogue and scheme ways to capture Ink and use him to change things about their world. Surely, if anyone would have the power to change things, it would be their lord? They didn't get the memo that Ink doesn't create or control AUs, only protects them (like half of the fandom)
Maybe a cult tries to force Ink out of "hiding" and answering their summons by capturing Dream or Blue and preparing to sacrifice them
I wonder how they might react to PJ and Gradient...? Being the children of Ink, surely they'd be respected. But being Error's children, too... maybe some groups don't take too kindly to their existences

I was gonna ask this with the twins in it, but I genuinly don't think they could handle being away from the station for too long so ya boy gets all the attention here:
Guzma and his partner traveling to another region for a while because reader mused that they would love to take on a gym challenge? Guzma may not necessarily care all that much for the league and all, but honestly some of the stuff he says in game make me feel it would do him some good to get away from Alola for a while and go on a roadtrip, don't ask me why. See some other places, meet some bug type trainers who absolutely loose their minds when they see his Golisopod instead of running for the hills, eat some new foods, see what's the big deal about contests and at the end of the day call back home in a video call, holding up a Venonat to the camera while 12 Grunts and Plumeria are squeezed together because everyone wants to say hi to the boss at the same time.
Oooh, I agree! Some time away from Alola to allow Guzma to operate without his Team Skull stigma would do ya boi some good
🍓🍓🍓
Guzma is reluctant to follow you to Unova. You're going to be gone for a few months, at the least, and he doesn't know if he can leave everyone behind like that. Plumeria and the grunts encourage him, though, and you promise that if he's too homesick, he's allowed to go home whenever he wants, so he agrees.
You both take a plane, which Guzma hates, and make it Unova a nice twelve hours later. He's pissy when you touchdown, but getting to the hotel and sleeping off your jetlag gets him ready to go again.
You explore the region at a casual pace, taking on the gym challenge together as you go. Your teams are easily able to get you to Castelia City, where Guzma meets Burgh, who fawns so much over his Golisopod that Guzma's ego inflates like ten sizes. Golisopod is also happy for the attention, and for the chance to play with Burgh's Pokémon as the artist pumps out drawings of the large bug at a record pace.
Despite their differing personalities, Guzma and Burgh get along great, and discuss bug Pokémon at length. You spend a lot of time in Castelia City because of it, traveling to the surrounding area to go bug hunting with Burgh
During one of these trips, Guzma stumbles upon a Venipede. He tosses it berries to ease it out, and catches it with such a large, boyish grin. His excitement as he shows the bug to you makes you smile.
The nights are all spent cuddled in bed together, a laptop before you to video chat with the grunts. All of them try to squish into frame, resulting in the wrath of Plumeria, which they never seem to learn from. They're just excited to see you both, and eager to tell you about what they've been getting up to
The riot they throw when Guzma shows them the Venipede he caught and is going to bring home to them earned you both a few noise complaints. But it's worth it to see how excited everyone is, Guzma included
But after a month, you're both ready to go home again. You got enough badges to satisfy you, and Guzma is more confident in who he is as a person outside of his Team Skull role. So the trip was a major success, in your books
🍓🍓🍓
The only other regions I could think of were galar and unova, and unova has a bug gym leader, so I was like perfect! and then I realized I've only gotten to the second town in pkmn black and i was like shit!
all of this to say that I hope you like it and that it follows along the prompt you asked for! I hope you have a great night, love!

About the Ingo + Arceus road trip: waitwaitwait, what do you mean by consequences in a trip to the future of his own timeline? 👀
Well, as i said it's nothing actually too concerning, just a setback. You see, since the last world he traveled long enough that he would take at least a week to fully recover from the strain of it that's what he should have done. But because of the knowledge that he is so very close to going home and finding Emmet and finally getting his answers, along with the added stress of trying not to see anything about the future (cause yeah that's going to be. Stressful. What if it's not something he wants to know?), he decided to leave earlier. He does not tell the future people of how long he should have rested. (They'll figure it out either way, looking at records of Ingo's many future (past?) Interviews 🥲. They're not going too upset over it though. They understand, they're just worried. They decide to keep a closer eye on any future fallers or interdimensional travelers they find.)
Either way, Arceus is understandably concerned over this fyi like they do care, they've spent the last few months with this guy and are pretty aware of his limits, but Ingo is really just... Tired. He insists over this, and they cave. They make sure to go particularly fast and be even more careful than usual this time, but of course they can't do everything.
Ingo gets only to see the shoreline of the forest underneath the entralink area and realize he made it before he gives in to his body and he passes out. He tells Arceus he's going to sleep, and they, not really knowing any better still (they're horrible at social interactions outside of divine intervention ಥ‿ಥ but hey what else was it going to be. They spend all their time doing who knows what managing the universe. This is just one arm after all.), trust him in that. They hang around in the faint way you'd imagine they were looking over Akari in the game, sort of looking over him and waiting for him to wake up and making sure he doesn't die. If he were to die now they would feel so upset over it. They became friends with Ingo over time (i don't think they will completely leave once he is settled in his life either; they're probably going to be a metaphorical call away :)), which is probably the closest they're ever going to get to being a Pokémon companion, something i believe they wished to experience if the battle with them at the end of the game tells me anything.
He is found by a family of zorua and zoroarks. They aren't used to seeing humans so far into the forest and got curious. Ingo's Pokémon, who were starting to get really worried (it has been a while since he went to 'sleep' by now), sense them and they decide someone should come out. The first one to do so is Ingo's alpha zoroark (the others are happy to know someone is out there helping Ingo and calm down for the moment. They do listen in though). It was particularly excited about getting to Unova, knowing it was the land its ancestors came from that was spoken of so longingly by the oldest zoroarks in the packs, the ones that still remembered when they were kits, leaving that place with their parents, following humans. It is immediatly blindsided by the sight of ALIVE zoruas and zoroarks, and for a moment it only revels in the knowledge they they are There, finally, before remembering why it was so impatient to get out. It finds it cannot wake up Ingo. And immediatly asks for help from the zoroark's family. The poor guys are incredibly confused and maybe a little afraid and or disturbed to see such a visibly scarred (i mean like. The red things) zoroark (also it's huge, cause its an alpha) and would really like to ask a few questions, but they accept either way. Why would they not, after all? (They do not know that in Hisui asking for help on behalf of a human to any Pokémon would be So dangerous)
So with a bit of help from some of Ingo's Pokémon they bring him back to their den. Arceus, whose full attention has been attracted by now, comes back in the right plane of existence, and once informed Ingo isn't waking up, promptly freaks out a little and wakes him themself, by using divine powers or something.
Ingo wakes up with a terrible, terrible sense of déjà vu and no idea of where he is or how he got there. He is terrified to realize he doesn't remember nearly anything.

Lmao SIKE i would never do that to him. He thinks he doesn't remember anything, but really he's just in that state where you wake up and don't even know who you are for a hot second, except he's exausted enough that he doesn't even realize he hasn't quite woken up completely and therefore will be in that state for a while, along with the added effect of the harsh travel causing a more serious version of the confusion effect Pokémon can get. Except he's a human so even that's different. So he's basically just tired and confused and panicking and the void travel temporarily blocked his memories. This time fr temporarily. He isn't thinking straight enough to realize he recognizes all the Pokémon in the room by name, but to be fair to him at this point he can barely move still, so.
Arceus, who is also internally panicking by now, decides that if Ingo truly once again doesn't remember anything they'll help him, this time not just out of duty, but because he is a friend and really, this is te first time they truly realize how much they've come to care for him, but if anything happened to him they'd truly grieve. They've only felt grief such as the one they re afraid of now, years and years ago, with the original hero. Ingo may not be the here but that doesn't matter.
So despite having no idea of how to do that, they decide to take a page out of Ingo's book, and decide that no matter what, they're going to fix this, just like he resolved to fix his situation, no matter what it took.
So they tell Ingo not to worry. They tell him to not try to force himself to remember, and they reassure him that he is going to be fine, they'll make sure of that. He has nothing to worry about. They tell him to go back to sleep.
And really, is anyone going to look in the face of a god, with the subconscious knowledge they they are your friend, telling you that you are going to be fine and NOT believe them?
Ingo goes back to sleep. When he wakes up next, a day later, he is still extremely tired, but he can move and think properly (courtesy of his Pokémon feeding him persim and lum berries ground into paste, also courtesy of the zoroark family's berry stash. They did not sign up for Arceus showing up in their den but there doesn't seem to be any danger and MAN are they curious by now), and finds that he can remember everything just fine. He finds by checking his (somewhat recently repaired) xtransreceiver that all the pictures and videos he took of the worlds he has been in match with what he remembers. He isn't missing any time. (Arceus is secretly SO relieved when he tells everyone this. They had been getting dirty looks by everyone when they refused to explain how exactly they were going to fix this, and they are glad he doesn't actually need their help. Also he's just their friend and they're glad he's fine.)
Ingo promptly starts trying to get up and leave to go home and has to be forcefully kept in the den so he doesn't overexert himself again. He has not learned anything from this experience. He needs so much therapy poor boy <3
(they can't keep him there for long though. The next day they depart, with a promise to go back to visit (Ingo's zoroark is so happy to have made a few friends already :) the zoruas love their weirdass new family member as well. They're so cool and weird :) they will not stop asking questions, as kids do.) and manage to get on the other side of lostlorn forest by the time it's night. It's not long to Nimbasa from there. The roads feel so familiar already, even this far from the city itself.)
(Chandelure has been feeling a disturbance in the force, but she knows not to leave. Ingo will get here soon. Emmet has noticed how chipper she has gotten in the last few days. He has also noticed how she tends to stare towards the wall, in one particular direction. He will not need to wait for much longer, he knows.)
Extras in the tags! Reblogs are very appreciated.
