I’m a pretty good singer!! I used to be a lot better when I was younger and I used to constantly practice and study vocal technique online bc I wanted to sing professionally. My dream at one point was to be an opera performer. Now that I’m an adult my voice has deepened a significant amount and also I’ve been smoking for years and don’t rlly practice or work on technique anymore so my singing isn’t nearly as impressive as it was back then, but I still sing for fun a lot and in some ways I think I sound better now that my voice has matured. I also used to play covers of random songs on ukulele while singing by myself at home when I was younger lol. And I draw and paint too.

hello!!! if you dont mind me asking what kind of white pen do you use for adding little highlights in your art? your art inspired me to start inking and coloring my traditional art and ive been having a lot of fun with it for a year or so now but i can never seem to find a good white gel pen to use 😭

you and me both friend 😭 I have a lot of issues with the ones i've tried and im thinking i might switch to just using white dip-pen inks (shirahama has given the brand she uses it's something like icy-white but i'll have to dig that out again).

the best luck i've had has been the following:

General notes of paint/acrylic markers - be extremely careful of smudging and drying times, both of the pen and whatever you have underneath. For any solvent-based mediums (paints, alcohol markers and ESPECIALLY linework inking) acrylic markers can pick up some of the colour or damage the paper and create smudges and tears. This is relatively easy to avoid so long as you wait for stuff to dry and work in small areas. The paint itself will take a while to dry so I usually let it sit for 30mins-1hr before putting it anywhere near my scanner bed. If you need to work on a larger area and the paper you're working on isn't pretty robust you should probably switch to a paintbrush and just use regular acrylic paint (which has a longer drying time).

I've also found that with smaller pen nibs getting a reliable opacity is an absolute crapshoot lol.

Artistro paint market pen - really good when fresh, but god help you if you go without using it for too long after you start using it. it'll gunk up and I don't know how to fix them. They are relatively cheap and come in packs at least. Doesn't seem to have larger sizes though.

Posca paint pens (various sizes) - far more robust than artistro if you store them right but regrettably more pricey. I've also found the finest nibbed white pen to be... deeply underwhelming. It never seems to have adequate pigment no matter how long I shake and prime it. By contrast the artistro gave the same sized line much more consistently, but at the cost of the pen nib itself being pretty unreliable.

Decobrush pigment - I've not got these in white so can't speak for them directly, but the colours I do have are pretty spiffy and it's a BRUSH pen, which gives you so much more control and a range of sizes per pen. There is some difficulty with low opacity on these though (since they're meant to be used with other decobrush markers), so I don't know how a white "corrector" would fair. The colour range is generally pretty gorgeous though, in the long term i'd like to have more of them.

General note on gel pens - I've got a love-hate relationship with gel pens honestly. I find I can get more consistent results out of them because the ink doesn't settle and you don't have to prime the nibs, but that's only if you can find a good brand... and then a good specific pen lol. I've also found an issue when you don't let the medium below dry properly re: smudging, but it also seems like if your work isn't boneeee dry (like overnight or multiple days of alcohol markers drying) the gel can very easily take on the colour of the pigment underneath, especially darker ones. Oddly this doesn't always show up when scanning, but it will look odd in person. Not always a draw back though - it looks great for white detailing in shadow.

Sakura Gelly Roll 08 - Not sure if there's other sizes (or their efficacy) so I thought I'd be specific because if there's one thing about gel pens the specificity MATTERS. I've got a couple of these and they don't disappoint (insofar as my expectations for gel pens go)

Uniball signo broad - this was my favourite until it ran out of ink. I cannot say for the uniball signo (without the broad part) which seemingly just gave up delivering ink and enjoys carving lines on the page and maybe delivering just enough ink that you can see where the ball is on the track it leaves behind. But the broad? I really liked. It honestly probably performs the same as the gelly roll but the pen just feels nicer to use lol, and the fact that it ran out of ink rather than dried out speaks for how much I liked it lol

as a general warning though - basically any gel pen or acrylic pen should be the last thing you do on your piece, because the second it goes down you will not be doing any more colouring in that area (unless you paint with acrylics). You can maybe use lineart pens on top of them once fully dried for at least an hour (ideally more) but it's very likely to smudge.

honestly... if you scan your work, there's no shame in cloning a white area of your work to use as a highlight post-scan. i always feel like im cheating until i remind myself that every digital-artist peer i have gets do to this at their leisure lol. i'd recommend getting a good scan/photo of the work before adding any highlights anyway because it's sooo easy to bugger them up and be unable to fix it (i say this as someone who never remembers and always regrets it lol)

examples:

you can see where the opacity doesn't quite hide what it's covering - an extra layer or digital correction would have been great. pretty sure this was artistro acrylic pen. but the unseen thing is i had to correct around the iris to the point where i said "well fuck i can't do what i want now" and just fixed it digitally.

dot highlights on the left and in/around the eye - definitely gelly roll. gel pens are really good for little pin pricks because you avoid the ball-point smearing things too thin and you can get pretty high opacity from that. also some more digital "help" with a bit of airbrush glow.

Definitely gel pen but i forget which kind, but I wanted to show what I meant by "picking up some pigments" and how can can be a boon, but also how sometimes the scanner just picks it up as white anyway (left is scanned, right is a photo - you can see it's purplish in the shadows)

Loves old Arabic love poems but can't read fus-ha/فسحى very well, so she tends to misinterpret some words or meanings and reimagine them in her own way, scribbling out vague shapes or adding splotches of paint to get her interpretation out on paper, or using them as prompts for her writing

Has crooked teeth!! She tends to cover them up in the headspace, but when she's on her own in her room you can see them. I also like to give her hyperpigmentation around her eyes (usually covers it with makeup, but lately has been incorporating it in her eyeshadow designs)

Also lots of scars. She could cover those up too, but she wears them with pride

Had a bit of a crisis w her hair- hated it short before her egg cracked (but tried to stow away those feelings), tried to grow it out after coming out but still feeling like it looked wrong, and eventually feeling more comfortable w herself and cutting her hair short again, feeling more like herself this time :3

Early drafts are both her favorite and least favorite part of the creation process. Since no one's going to see them, she can just let herself go, but when the words or colors don't quite convey what's inside her she gets frustrated

teenage gabriel may (+maddy) headcanons

ik maddy would technically be emily here but its just easier for me to refer to her as maddy sorry

ok so basically im having brainrot and im sad that we only saw young gabriel and adult gabriel so here are headcanons for teenage (14-17?) baby eater (in these scenarios maddy still went through the surgery so gabriel no longer has his own "body" and just has his face, he is able to control maddy the same way he does in the movie though)

i dont think this needs any TW but theres one about periods so if that bugs u just dont read the very last one

-assuming the kids at simion were still going through education, he definitely tried to bully maddy into doing his homework for him bc he hated it

-made fun of maddy when she went through the obligatory middle school awkward makeup phase, but secretly wished he could try it too (no face skin, lol rip gabe)

-if they were allowed to listen to music, he would absolutely whine his ass off when maddy listened to girly teen pop and would try to take over the body so he could turn it off (he only likes REAL MUSIC... mcr)

-adding onto the makeup one... he would ask maddie to do makeup looks on herself that he thought would be cool (usually dark/emo makeup)

-obviously watched a lot of movies... hes literally a walking giallo stereotype so he had to learn that somewhere

-maddy offered to cut her hair short at one point if it would make him more comfortable, but he liked having long hair

-the two would both intentionally piss eachother off by taking over the body and putting all their hair back in a super tight ponytail ponytail so the other would have to undo it when they take over

-maddy started doing her nails and gabriel got mad at first... but then he made her come to an agreement where they each had a designated hand they could paint (gabriel's were always black)

-gabriel liked drawing and would draw himself if he had his own body (if he was younger, itd be like a super muscley super hero looking guy lmao)

-gabriel prooobably wouldnt shower because the hot water and soap would absolutely hurt the exposed flesh. so maddy had to do it and therefore, got to choose what soap she used. gabriel would complain and be like "UGH you used the pomegranate soap again?? i told you to use the 46 in 1" (in classic teenage boy fashion)

-REFUSED to control the body when maddy got her first few periods bc he was terrified and didnt believe her that it didnt hurt, but eventually came around lmao (honestly me too)

dark's name is usually rendered in katakana as ダーク (マウジ). dark: the absence of light in a place. mousy: of or like a mouse/shy or timid. lol Alias: generally speaking, they are each other's aliases. Ethnicity: jp!

THREE HEADCANONS YOU’VE NEVER TOLD ANYONE:

💜 dark has a very good singing voice, (here's onosaka's travelog for an example,) but he doesn't use it often because he doesn't really have a reason to or much interest in singing for himself. somebody has to pull him in for a duet sometime i think 💜 he says he 'has no choice' when it comes to wearing emiko (daisuke's mom's) outfits for him and daisuke, but that's a lie. he absolutely hates looking shabby and is the only reason why daisuke looks slightly above boring and presentable in verses like genshin sometimes 💜 he's really not used to eating. you'd assume he didn't even need to eat since he never brings up human necessities + usually leaves it all to daisuke to handle. but the body still needs calories, even if eating is still really weird for him to do, like, personally. 💗 painting is basically daisuke's 'thing,' but he has and will try a lot of other artistic endeavors! this includes things like flower arrangements, sculpting, pottery... it's okay if he isn't any good, he just wants to enjoy everything that he can. inviting him out to a workshop or something similar is an experience and memory he'd really treasure. 💗 he wants to be taller..... without having to transform into dark. he's a late bloomer, and is generally one of the shorter people in his class. it's not for the sake of height alone that he wants to be taller, though. he just wants people to stop making fun of him and to come off as manlier, even if just by a little. 💗 his thoughts are packed full of all of the artworks he's ever met. when he isn't thinking about dark, then he's thinking about freedert and the second hand of time, or rokuto/insomnia. he sincerely wishes he could have had even just a little more time with freedert, or a better, genuine conversation with rokuto, especially since rokuto was his 'best friend', (even if the memories/idea had been planted into his head by rokuto in the first place.) it's complicated- it doesn't help there isn't really anyone daisuke can usually talk about these sorts of things with aside from dark himself, either.

THREE THINGS YOUR CHARACTER LIKES DOING IN THEIR FREE TIME:

💜 sleeping. 💜 flirting. 💜 stealing. look he technically doesn't get a lot of free time okay

💗 painting. this remains number one for daisuke! 💗 calling/talking to or outright visiting any of his friends. daisuke's the sort to run over just to check up on anybody if he's worried about them at all, but he really does enjoy being with others since he has some unsettled feelings of loneliness and isolation himself sometimes. 💗 general loafing around. napping in the sun, watching tv, petting and feeding wiz, his life is pretty busy (and plagued with crazy amounts of anxiety,) so the rare moments when he can just kind of relax and do nothing are valued by him.

SIX PEOPLE YOUR CHARACTER LIKES/LOVES:

💜 manisumea. dnangel's lilith figure + the artwork that had freed dark from imprisonment once upon a time. they share a sort of relationship that dark will most likely never have with anyone else; that of an extremely old and familiar friend who was there for him. she's a part of baku/defective now, and dark is relieved that she didn't have to break and perish in front of his eyes like so many other artworks. 💜 yuu. the first girl who had ever 'saw' and 'heard' him, as 'dark' and his own self, rather than the niwa he was a part of. 💜 emiko. daisuke's mother. he knows how much she wanted to become a phantom thief and has already helplessly witnessed her tears, but he still thinks she's best as just a good mother taking care of daisuke and helping him to properly develop and grow into an adult. 💜 menou. daiki's original love interest and the girl who became a ghost, bound to the earth for as long as she wore the unbroken agate links. dark hopes that she's found peace somewhere, especially after her wish of seeing the phantom thief again was fulfilled just as she disappeared. 💜 towa. she's funny and cute, and while he's been (admittedly, now,) kind of a jerk to her before, he has to admit that she does a really good job at what she does, and has helped him and daisuke out of a lot of pinches before. 💜 wiz. obligatory wiz appreciation. that rabbit does so much all the time for dark and daisuke both, but wiz's history with dark goes on for much longer than daisuke's. the magical phantom thieves are nothing without their funky little magical rabbit mascot. 💗 risa. he still likes her as a friend even after his own rejection, and she's been an enormous influence on him from the start; first someone he worked up the entirety of his courage to confess to, then the trigger for his very first transformation into dark. for the most part, they're on good terms. 💗 riku. the other harada twin with a completely different personality from risa. sometimes he's a little chagrined over her stubborn and independent attitude, but he sincerely likes her for the strength of her personality and is grateful that she doesn't seem to think he's a loser. 💗 satoshi. the curse's 'other half,' his destined rival that he was intent on befriending, the person who was supposed to capture him and dark but who had helped him time after time again instead. as his total opposite, daisuke genuinely admires a number of hiwatari's aspects, but he's also deeply frustrated by the fact that he can't help or save satoshi from the short-lived fate of the hikari lineage. 💗 kosuke. that's his dad! in a family of active thieves kosuke still serves as the informant and the researcher, the level head who can maintain a detached perspective from those directly involved with dark or dark's presence. while i hc that daisuke didn't see him very much and likewise doesn't have very many memories of them together as a child, (at least, definitely not as much as he spent time with daiki or emiko,) daisuke still deeply respects and appreciates his father for every word of advice and assistance he's ever given. 💗 argentine! yeah, he kinda hated argentine at first and even got so turbo-pissed that he forced dark to manifest and knocked out for two days, but argentine's already become an important person (artwork?) to him as 'someone that was saved.' dark was entirely intent on breaking argentine at first, but daisuke's relieved that another artwork's corpse and husk didn't have to be added onto the pile. as an artwork serving the family as a butler and artwork repairman now, daisuke tries to keep argentine as a reminder that others can not only change, but some are just trying to find answers to questions that they're looking for. 💗 freedert. daisuke's first experience with loss and grief and his own human helplessness. he wanted nothing more than to save freedert and the second hand of time but couldn't; it especially hurts since freedert had also merged with the second hand of time, just like himself and dark. he'll always remember her last words to him, though.

TWO THINGS YOUR CHARACTER REGRETS:

💜 being born. this one is no joke, because dark's birth wasn't actually his fault as opposed to the hikari and niwa ancestors'. canonically it's implied that dark has the capacity to hate his birth + humanity as a whole for creating him, but since hating anything is too tiring (all-consuming) and just all around 'no fun,' he resigns to simply holding dead-silent regrets over his creation instead. the cultural reformation refers to what's basically an art-pocalypse that happened due to the kokuyoku (that's dark and krad themselves) as being decided 'too dangerous.' the body count of countless artworks being burned, shattered, and destroyed is one he blames himself and takes a personal responsibility for, thus partially motivating his actions as a phantom thief, though he's also guilty of being an obstacle (self proclaimed 'meddler') that gets in the way of the niwa's mundane lives as well.

💜 attempting to merge with daisuke. he truly did want to take advantage of, manipulate and ultimately take in the boy at first so he could finally obtain his own body, but over time dark has learned that not only was there not any need for it, but daisuke had 'already been his' from the start. this is a new development compared to dark's relationship with the rest of the niwa, who dark had continuously tried to manipulate into merging with him, but overall failed until they found their loves reciprocated, and he disappeared from them.

💗 moping around on the birthday that he had first transformed into dark on. he reaaaally should have listened to what his grandpa and mom had to say instead of getting were-bishonened with absolutely no warning. he's also moped around during a lot of other crucial moments, mostly ones wherein he was separated from dark. without dark's extra goading pushes or encouragements, he tends to struggle and sulk. he's trying to, or at least wants to, be able to get over that part of himself, and be capable of standing up and taking steps forward without thinking to himself that he's 'absolutely no good' (and hopeless/useless) without dark.

💗 lying. always and always to everyone, lying. daisuke really doesn't want to around those he wants to trust and cares about, but due to dark's presence, he feels as if he has no real choice. he's actually gotten better at lying lately, (that is, being able to tell some without breaking into a cold sweat or stuttering,) but he's still pretty much awful at it. it's not only the act of lying itself that he regrets, but the fact that it makes him appear weird and potentially could hurt or devastate others' feelings that really torments him.

TWO PHOBIAS YOUR CHARACTER HAS:

What was your favorite dungeon in P5?

hmmm. well ok this is embarrassing to admit as someone who is openly obsessed with dungeon-based games but i never actually fully completed a single dungeon in p5 lmao. i would secure the route as quickly as possible and then get out. my honest opinion is that as far as dungeons go persona 5's design is kind of lacking. it's very stealth-based which is already a downside for me bc i hate stealth and most of the puzzles are either super obvious and involve fighting something for a key to the next room or are basically portal mazes. that's not to say the dungeons were BAD or took away from the gameplay, (not usually at least) but they were means to an end more than anything. p5 to me is much more of a visual novel than a dungeon crawler so i think some lackluster dungeon design is fine/to be expected and doesn't really take away from my overall enjoyment even as someone who enjoys good puzzle & dungeon design.

as for. your actual question. i am wracking my brain here trying to remember all the dungeons because honestly all i remember is a lot of tedium LMAO. okumura and futaba are out of the running instantly because they sucked. kamoshida wasn't BAD but it was the tutorial dungeon so i probably only liked it because it was easy LMAO. madarame and kaneshiro are kind of equally unmemorable to me? i think madarame had some cool stuff going on in terms of like. set design. i remember thinking the fact that he had his former pupils up on the wall as his work was a cool visual metaphor. i also liked that brief little section where you had to walk through the painting maze. i kinda wish that was implemented in more than just that one room. uhhhh who am i missing here. sae and shido?? and maruki ig but im not rlly counting him his was just boring lol. sae's was kinda cool i liked cheating at gambling and it was fun to infiltrate with akechi even though it ended Like That lmao. shido's was just. LONG. so long. and there were a bunch of parts where you had to trigger certain conversations in order to even get your key into the next area to SPAWN and i kept missing them and running around like an idiot trying to find whatever random npc i was supposed to talk to so that was fucking annoying. but um tldr i guess madarame's was the best??? at least i cant think of any open complaints about it LMAO

Headcanons: Dino Cavallone's entire family tree - Pt. 3

I am going off from this post here: CLICKETY CLICK!

So, as usual everything is under cut. I am having A LOT of fun figuring out this family tree!

Also, I kind of feel like those storytime youtubers lol

The Fourth Generation Succession Mess

Virginia and Amedeo, in proper twin fashion, died a few days apart from each other, literally leaving a void. Some chronicles say that they were taken by illnesses, some others that they died in a shooting. No one to this day can agree on this.

In any case, they were gone and there was no written will to abide to. No one of the children, legitimate or not, had yet shown any sign of legitimacy, and no relative was as ruthless and strong as Virginia and her mother, or as clever and diplomatic as Amedeo and his father.

Therefore all of the children, both legitimate and not, potentially were all heir to the title. The problem was that there was no written will and in these instances, by law, only the immediate kin inherits.

As in the wife and the legitimate children, the rest can go away.

But the thing was, Amedeo was only the FIGURATIVE boss, not the boss himself, the ACTUAL boss was Virginia and whilst Amedeo DID have legitimate children, Virginia NEVER DID.

And none of the children, now pretty much teens to young adults, had shown any sign of legitimacy.

It was going to be a bloodbath.

We have now a total of NINE possible heirs:

Costanza: Amedeo's eldest daughter, as beautiful as her father, but with a very strict and uptight personality. She has opinions about what a wedding should look like and it's not what her father and mother have.

Giorgio: Amedeo's second child, very capable and expert in dealing with battles of any kind. He is a no-nonsense kind of guy.

Ludovico: Amedeo's third child, not the sharpest tool in the box, but when he focuses on something he is hellbent in getting it no matter what.

Marisa: Amedeo's first child out of wedlock, a nasty piece of work to deal with and backstabber extraordinaire. She will eventually find her peace.

Letizia: Amedeo's fourth child out of wedlock. She is not much of a fighter, but she is the best dressed in the room. She will eventually go on with her life and open a fashion atelier in Paris.

Mariano: Amedeo's third child out of wedlock. He is an artist, he loves painting. This doesn't mean he will not put down the brushes if someone threatens him, quite the contrary.

Renato: Amedeo's second child out of wedlock. He is the diplomatic one, always treating any threat like a business transaction.

Donato: Virginia's second child. He is his mother's son, ruthless and always straight to the point.

Margherita: Virginia's first child. Whilst she looks a lot like her mother in appearance, her personality is very mellow and hates confrontation a lot.

None of them can exactly be defined "legitimate" in the true sense of the word and each one has to 1) prove that they are the legitimate heir and 2) convince the Cavallone army of subordinates that they are the boss.

It is an all out war, particularly difficult in such a small territory and with so much going on politically speaking in the rest of Italy.

The populace suffers in seeing such a usually united family tear each other down. Things come to a stall - the Cavallone army decides to trap the nine heirs inside their house, put them under siege and force them to come to an agreement.

The siege lasts a month.

At the end of it not one, but TWO of the heirs come out showing signs of legitimacy: they are Giorgio, legitimate son of Amedeo, and Renato, illegitimate son of Virginia.

By all laws this should be impossible.

And yet it happened.

The rest of the siblings do look somewhat at peace, even though slightly disappointed, but if something was learned from this siege it was how to properly get along.

Everyone goes back to their previous role in the family, they eventually all get married, slowly diluting the Cavallone blood and surname through the next generations, but still very part of the family.

All of them except Giorgio and Renato. Renato is given the Cavallone surname officially and together with Giorgio they finally take over the Cavallone family - after the literal bloodbath they had witnessed, no one was about to complain about two male heirs.

They both get the title of Duke and divide their tasks according to what they are best at. Renato is the diplomat, the one conducting treaties and business. Giorgio is the Commander, the one taking charge of the army and transforming it in what will look like the 5K men at the service of the Cavallone family.

Both Dukes marry, but only one of them will have an heir.

Giorgio is very much gay and he lavender marries a lady called Giulia Ferrari, first daughter of a quite influential family, very much rumoured of being a lesbian. They never have children, but at least the lavender marriage shuts down all official rumours. What happens unofficiially is off any chronicle.

Renato marries too eventually to a lady called Anita Reggiani and decided he will have only one heir to avoid any further blood bath.

Luckily for him his wife will give birth to a boy who will be called Stefano, somwhat a spoiled brat and a competent leaader, but mostly a spoiled brat. Stefano will be the one showing signs of legitimacy, but this is for a different post :D

are you named after anyone? I’m not named after anyone, but I’m named after this song (Have a Little Faith in Me by John Hiatt). It’s my parents wedding/couple song and since I’m their first kid together (I have an older sister but we don’t have the same dad) they wanted to name me after their get-together song, so my middle name is Faith… I honestly think this is one of the coolest facts about me because I love music and to also be named after a song is a flex imo

when was the last time you cried? A few months ago I cried after I failed to find parking downtown while on my way to a field trip for one of my graphic design classes. It sounds pathetic and insignificant but for a suburban girl with little familiarity driving in the big city and multiple anxiety disorders, it was exceptionally difficult to keep my brain from imploding on itself. I parked in a spot close to the building’s entrance only to find it was reserved for long-term parking and there was absolutely no more parking spaces available, even along the street. So after 45 minutes of searching (and 30 minutes after I was supposed to have arrived) I decided to call it quits and went home… I got myself some bubble tea on the way to help cheer myself up but I still cried in my bathroom with my cat. I really wanted to go to this field trip but I couldn’t because of how inaccessible it was. I really hate driving in the city 👎

do you have kids? Nope, just my cats. I don’t want any human kiddos either. I’ve got many reasons why, but basically my older sister has 3 grade-school age kiddos and as much as I love them they’re a lot of work and I’ve learned over the years that I kinda don’t want to dedicate my life to a helpless person. I want my life to be about me.

do you use sarcasm a lot? I use it mostly with my friends and family members lol. Not all strangers understand how hilarious I am

what sports do you play/have you played? I used to be in dance and basketball when I was a kid, but after I chipped my front tooth in basketball practice my mom wouldn’t let me go back so not anymore. Nowadays I walk but Idk if that’s considered a sport lol. I enjoy playing badminton though; it’s so so fun (just wish we had a court around here; it’s not very popular where I live).

what’s the first thing you notice about other people? Their general personality, I guess. What someone is wearing and how they talk and move really says a lot about a person and it’s usually the first thing I notice.

scary movies or happy endings? I don’t mind a thriller every once in a while but I generally tend to prefer happy endings

Bulkhead would defo help make decorations for the base- paper bats on the strings, ghosts attached to the ceiling n stuff. He tried to carve a pumpkin too but he crushed it on accident :(

Prowl would defo go to a harvest festival if there was one. Bee and Sari tag along cuz there was supposedly a contest for the biggest vegetable/fruit. They were not wrong. Here you have a (different user's) post from that trip. Also Prowl would try to make a pumpkin pie for Sari from Bulk's squashed pumpkin, it turned out good by Sari's words. :D

Optimus is not really keen on the whole ordeal. The spooky theme and costumes- even the silly ones- make him uneasy (especially the spider decor). He doesn't want to ruin the fun so he just stays quiet, it's not a big deal.

Speaking of costumes- Bee would absolutely go trick-or-treating with Sari in his own costume. He loves to dress up! One time he made himself look like that black taxi from that one horror movie- while in his root mode he looked like a pitch black monster with red LEDs as eyes. Optimus was on patrol in that time and he thought it would be a great idea to give him a spook. So he made some ruckus near where OP was driving and jumpscared him with the scariest screech he could do. He regretted it shortly after because Optimus whipped out his axe and smacked him with the blunt side as an impulse reaction for being spooked+that looked like a decepticon/NOT friendly creature. Bee was send flying to the other side of the parking lot... Yeah, Optimus had to make a very awkward call to Ratchet cuz Bee was having severe ache in his tank and coughed up a little bit of enegon. Later Ratchet scolded both of them for being idiots, Bee had internal damage and couldn't leave medbay for 2 days and missed trick-or-treating. Optimus felt so bad! He apologized several times and even went and got him some home-made treats to make up for the missed treats on halloween. Bee took halloween costumes easier from then on- he dressed up as classic things like a mummy, witch or vampire. I like to think he made a costume of Blitzwing for fun at one point and just happened to bump into said 'con when he was out spooking young teens. Blitz still has a selfie of him holding the startled wannabe and him smiling widely. Also Bee really wants to know how the whole pumpkin spice thing tastes like cuz apparently it's good. Also candy- oh well, at least he got the joy of collecting it for Sari.

Ratchet, per usual, doesn't care. Although if he was feeling funny he would get fluorescent pink paint and splatter it in his workshop or himself just to mess with the others. He's the kind of guy that would play morbid jokes like that if given a chance- he is a medic after all.

Sari is having the best halloween with them. She comes up with those cool games for them to play and watches scary movies with them, She would absolutely be the type to pretend-gag when seeing christmas decor in the middle of October, Bee does that too- it's way too early, damn it! (i hate it too)

HEAVY AGREE on your Matt Rife take. It’s so evident that the reason he flopped so bad isn’t bc he’s unfunny (personally I think he’s funny when he can interact with the crowd but even then it’s ehh) it’s bc he’s so heavily insecure. It’s crazy that so many people think hot=people like me/my work, when there’s PLENTY of evidence to disprove that. I mean how many celeb men aren’t conventionally attractive and women go absolutely feral over them. It’s the same when cis straight men hate on more feminine/secure men because in their mind macho/tough=real man women like.

I saw a TikTok the other day where a woman said her celeb crush is Steve Bushemi….he’s not conventionally attractive but personality/confidence trump looks. If Matt could learn to deal with his insecurities (and get better comedy material) maybe he’d stop hating women, become a better person and he’s have a successful career.

i've seen a couple tiktoks with his jokes/crowd work and yeah, he's not the worst. but he's too much of a frat bro. and the overconfidence is very evident and not in a fun way lol

and honestly, that's something that lot of ppl (who usually aren't conventionally attractive/don't believe they are) don't understand. there are a lot of positives to being deemed hot by most of society - that is true. but reality is, a LOT of times ppl just don't take you seriously. especially if you're a woman. ppl don't expect hot ppl to have personalities, to be good at many things, strictly bc they have good looks. but at the same time, hot ppl can skirt by NOT having personalities or even being down right terrible ppl bc all anyone can pay attention to is their looks.

it's a very odd double edge sword lol

and that comment about men hating on more feminine men is SO TRUE. prime example, in a weird way, is colby. like, he's definitely a man on all accounts, but he has a softer side. he's painted his nails before in the past, he's talked about writing poetry, he's open about his mental health, he's wore makeup before and wasn't completely embarrassed about doing so, he doesn't have a conventional manly job, he bathes regularly… you know, all the things that men aren't supposed to do lol

him (and sam too) get SO MUCH flack from other men outside of their fandom. not only bc they aren't "manly men", so to speak, but also bc women love them. and when women love something, even other men, ppl tear it down and minimize it as lesser.

also let's be fucking honest here, a lot of men blame women for their problems but their actual problems stem from OTHER MEN. it's the patriarchy for a reason.

there are BILLIONS of women out there that don't find beef-cake built dudes attractive, but tons of men think that's the ideal of what a woman wants bc other men have projected that as the ideal body type for other men.

oh i could just go on about this forever lol

but anyway - yes, if matt had a bit more confidence in himself, he wouldn't have to punch down on the hands that were literally feeding him. but hey, whatever makes you feel better at night i guess.

4. Fav character/subject that's a bitch to draw

I fucking love drawing wacky perspectives, but holy fucking shit they are DIFFICULT man. Also applies to intersting lightning, i fucking hate/love painting that.

Currently w the COD obsession it's been a lot abt tacgear and weapons, they have a LOT of details and while i love tacgear i tend to simplify it a lot for the sake of my mental health and time lmao

8. What's an old project idea that you've lost interest in

I used to have this comic w my oc's called "Dark Centuries" and in highschool I used to be super invested in it and it would be my magnum opus and everything. Eventually I just let go of it tbh I just wasn't interested in it anymore.

It was definitely fun to practice worldbuilding and character design and everything, and definitely had like the whole story mapped out in my head, then it stopped making sense.

11. Do you listen to anything while drawing? If so, what

Depends on my mood.

My default lately has been the MW 2019-22 campaigns (i've watched both several times). Most times I rly enjoy documentaries, video essays, stuff like that. Sometimes I play music if I'm feeling like listening to something in specific.

But half the time I'm drawing in complete silence cuz I managed to focus on work without putting something first and I just forget to put something cuz im focused lol

26. What's a piece that got a wildly different interpretation from what you intended

None that I recall? ppl don't often tell me their interpretations from my drawings, they're usually pretty straightforward or there's nothing to interpret from it

I saw some interesting interpretations from that angsty pricegaz I posted not too long ago, but none of them were so far off from the original point, since that one was more up to interpretation of what happened n shit.

Do u know about the nh art on here where apparently they made narusasu have some kinda Brokeback Mountain moment in the pain and kage summit arc but naruto ends up choosing hinata over sasuke? I heard about it on some blog and wanted to read it to make fun of it but I can't find it. Anyway isn't it hilarious that even canon shippers can see the romance in sns and they even choose to portray it in their works, but they change it by making sns ultimately choose the girls over each other? It's hilarious, and really says a lot lol

I was the one who brought it up, not sure if others saw it too. But not exactly that, I mean they are a huge Hinata stan/NH fan but they mocked Kage arc and made a Brokeback mountain joke about it, but of course after the ending she responded to the complaints about Naruto and Sasuke not being together with "they were always brothers bla bla bla" so yeah. ("I wish I knew how to quit you" is a famous line from Brokeback Mountain, where Jack acknowledges that while their relationship makes him unhappy, he can't let go of Ennis, the movie portrays the effect of homophobia well and I hate when people make light of it).

I think it's homophobic, to make mockery of Naruto's feelings as if Brokeback mountain is something ridiculous to begin with and not a tragic story about same-sex romance and homophobia. -__- But of course you can expect a Hinata stan be salty because Hinata got owned by Pain and then totally ignored by Naruto. So they had to cope by mocking the entire manga. Because not enough bland heterosexuality.

It's there (it's on tumblr probably too but I won't go to that person's blog). Also she's those usual people who think Sasuke is an idiot/overrated while Hinata/Team 8 should have had more panel time.

Btw just in case I'll say don't send her asks or anything, it would be a pointless action and just be used to paint sns fandom in a bad light. But I think it's important to show het shippers hypocrisy.

1. Are you named after anyone? Nope! My parents just heard the name from a friend and like it (but it’s spelled differently than literally everyone else in the world who’s named it because my mom thought the original spelling's repeat of a particular letter was “dumb and unnecessary” lol)

2. When was the last time you cried? A couple weeks ago I think? I don’t cry very often, and it’s usually because of a build-up of emotions when I do (don’t bottle things up, kids). Can’t even remember why, this particular time. 

3. Do you have kids? Nope, and unless my future partner would like to have children, I don’t really plan on it. 

4. Do you use sarcasm a lot? Absolutely, yes I do. Though, I’ve learned recently, to my horror, that most of my sarcasm is too dry and people tend to think I’m being serious. So... I’ve gotten a failing grade in sarcasm. Fuck me lol.

5. What’s the first thing you notice about people? I’ve never really thought about that. When I socialize my brain usually shuts off out of panic, but I think I probably notice a person’s smile. I like when people smile with their eyes and not just their mouth. 

6. What's your eye colour? Hazel :)

7. Scary movies or happy endings? I don’t watch horror movies near as often as I watch movies with happy endings, so I suppose the latter. 

8. Any special talents? Um... I’m really good at making people laugh? That’s not really a talent, but I think my sense of humor surprises people because they don’t often expect it. 

9. Where were you born? No comment ;)

10. What are your hobbies? I love writing, it’s my absolute favorite thing to do. I like to read, though I don’t as often as I used to, and rewatch my dozen or so favorite movies. I like roller skating and painting, and I’ve gotten into embroidery recently. I also love working out, when I have the time and energy to do so. 

11. Any pets? This question is the equivalent of Pandora’s box for me lmao. I’ve had a ton of pets over my life, but currently: three cats, a dog, two leopard geckos, two goats, two hermit crabs, and some isopods. I’ve also had frogs, rats, and even two alpacas at one point. 

12. What sports do you play/have played? I played soccer in elementary school, absolutely loathed it. I... do not work well on a team, especially when that team is a bunch of mean twelve-year-old girls lol. I also horseback ride, but have not done that competitively.

13. How tall are you? I think I’m 5′4

14. Favorite subject in school? Once, long ago, it had been math. I hate math now, lol. In high school, my favorite subject was English for sure. Biology was also a lot of fun.

15. Dream job? Actually? Just, like... the owner of a nice little cottage. A gardener? Someone who lives in the woods, maybe... I would like to make art for the rest of my life and not have to worry about taxes and shit lol. 

For the longest time I wanted to be a vet, and then a zookeeper. I wouldn’t say those are still my “dream jobs,” though. Maybe a writer.

I mean it's a creative outlet, of course. And I am a person who needs one. I went to school for fine arts (painting and print making) and that was fun but I never had any real drive to do it specifically, i was just good (for a teenager) at it and I liked doing *something* creative. Its also sort of a focal point for my indecisive energy. I have not-very-good time management and executive function skills. Sometimes "Open up a word doc and write a fucking paragraph, jackass!" is enough to switch me into productivity.

Besides that, I just feel kind of good at it? and I find it satisfying to "succeed" at it. And it surprised me to be kind of good at it, and it still surprises me and excites me. Also it feels good to be on the creating side of a fandom after spending like two decades entirely on the consuming side. Like giving back to the ecosystem or something lol.

Oh god this is such a hard question!

Im gonna be completely honest there is like a 24-48 hour period after I post something new where I am only functioning as like half a human being because my mind is on How Is This Fic Doing. Usually when I post something I convince myself it is Bad Actually and people will hate it, and I'm just refreshing and refreshing waiting for somebody to tell me they didn't hate it.

Im lucky because i generally get a good amount of engagement on the things I write, so Ive never had anything flop and like destroy my morale. But some things do better than others, and the thing I usually tell myself if something doesnt hit the way I maybe hoped it would is, like, hey, the people who liked it liked it! And probably some other people liked it too and just didnt have the energy to comment. (i personally find commenting on fics really stressful and hard, i try to do it often because i know how good it feels to get a comment but i totally understand that sometimes it feels hard to do!) And also, like, nobody owes me anything! I volunteered for this, any feedback I get is a bonus!

But like, sometimes something that I wrote quickly, or didn't put too much thought into or whatever will do dramatically better than something that was like Very Important To Me in whatever way, and that drives me a little crazy, even when I can see why that's probably the case and even though I'm not upset that the lesser thing is being enjoyed, im just like... i wish you liked the other thing better 😂

I dont know if this actually answered the question! Basically I am as insecure about this stuff as anybody else on here, probably more than many.

Giving myself two compliments in one day is a lot. Um. Okay. I think something I'm good at is establishing the more complicated feelings underneath the "we're in love and haven't realized it yet" part. The different amounts and ways they know each other in each story, the ways they like each other and the ways they frustrate each other. I think I give a good foundation for the inevitable romance.
