It's totally ok to miss and grieve the loss of something you love, but continuously comparing Watcher to just BFU is tiring. Watcher is so much more than BFU, and if you guys would just simply read Watcher's company motto then you would know that.

I just saw an Elriel post that highlighted the "mating bond is a bridge between souls" line and then showed Feysand quotes to emphasize the point. They then showed the Elriel quote, "the only bridge of connection between them...that knife" and a quote that says how Lucien had "done nothing to bridge the gap between them" 

I find it ironic that they used that specific quote for Elriel since it literally says that the ONLY bridge of connection between Elain and Azriel is truth teller, and then Elain gives truth teller back. Meaning there is no more bridge connecting them.

Also, I will never understand how they bash Lucien for apparently not trying hard enough to connect with Elain, but as soon as he does try anything, they scream that he's possessive and taking away Elain's choice. So, what exactly do they want from him?

Also, there is a quote from Lucien where he literally says that the bond between him and Elain is real, "it's a read thread." So, is there an emotional gap between Lucien and Elain right now? Yes, which is completely understandable. But is there also a mating bond, a bridge between souls, between them? Also, yes. 

To your point at the end, it is ok there's an emotional gap between Lucien and Elain. I don't want them connecting in someone else's book, I don't want Elain's feelings to be evident for him where I'm not getting to experience it all from her POV. I don't want a flashing neon sign proclaiming "they're in love!" rather than seeing it happen in their story. SJM left me enough hints to feel confident while still looking forward to their romance playing out in real time. Also, this wasn't in the novella for shits and giggles: "Stay out of it. She's not ready, and neitehr is he, no matter how many presents they bring." "Let him live with his Band of Exiles. Let him deal with Tamlin in his own way. Let him figure out where he wants to be. Who he wants to be. The same goes with her." "Just be patient. It'll sort itself out. It always does." "I want them to be happy. All of them." "They will be" She said the simple words with such unflagging conviction that I believed her. That covers it all. The reason Elain and Lucien are currently at odds, the reason Lucien still has not attempted to bridge the gap. Neither is ready, they still have too much of their own problems to figure out before they can turn to romance. Elain needed to accept becoming fae, needing to consider the possibility of actually being with a fae (and not jumping right into an intense mating bond), Lucien needed time to really think about what he wants from his future, where he wants to live (it's not going to be the human lands forever), how he wants to deal with his relationship with Tamlin. Now that SF has ended they've had 16 months to do exactly that and there's a good chance that Mor's prediction is about to take off. The funniest thing is they'll destroy Lucien's character for keeping his distance from Elain while applauding Az for doing the exact same thing. Lucien can't stand being near Elain because he sees her current distance and it hurts him. It's evident he still thinks about her, he asked Feyre how she was doing, brought her a present, asked if she still mourned Graysen (which means he is respecting the love she had for someone else). We know an unfulfilled bond can drive males mad and that is another reason it's a strain for him. Az avoided Elain because he can't stand the scent of her bond. Did she ask him to stay away? Did she ignore him? Lucien is doing what he's doing because he's respecting Elain's clues for space and time though it pains him to do so. Az is doing what he's doing for his own selfish reasons. Elain could have used a support system in the NC over the past year but Az chose to focus on his own needs instead of what would have been best for her. The scent of her bond isn't going anywhere and he chose to make that the driving factor of whether to spend time with her or not which means he'll never spend time with her unless the bond suddenly disappeared. That's not a worthy male. And yes, "the ONLY bridge of connection, that knife." Which means, after Elain returned TT, there was no remaining bridge of connection. Sure they were willing to make out but the author is LITERALLY telling us there's nothing to support their pairing long term. The one thing that seemed to connect them is not the foundation that true love is built on. It makes me laugh when this line is used romantically but when the other hints that are used throughout the series also receive the blinder treatment, I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Like Elain and Az outside, his leathers SO AT ODDS with the beautiful garden. Or Elain with spring blooming behind her and death on the other side. Elain sitting in the sunniest windows, as if "any bit of darkness was abhorrent", Elain in black, "no matter that she declared herself part of this court, it sucked the life from her."

A near kiss and a few glances mean nothing when the author is continually feeding us line after line about how Elain is not where she's meant to be and she's not ending up with the guy who is completely at odds with her in every way despite her efforts to distract herself from her problems by engaging in a crush on him.

These are some of my opinions on this whole thing after keeping up with it the past couple days

1) Tokkis like mhj just as much as armys like hybe. They love that woman and think new jeans is nothing without her but pretend they don't so they don't get called weirdos. They claim they're not picking sides and hate both parties, but if you look closely you will be able to pick out the few fans who are actually being neutral. Most Tokkis have picked a side and contrary to them tweeting "fuck mhj" they're on her side. Just like some armys are ignoring the posts implicating bang, Tokkis are ignoring the posts that makes her look like a complete weirdo while quoting the posts implicating bang. What they want is for mhj to leave with the girls because they genuinely believe that everything they got and achieved was never thanks to hybe. I honestly believe that some of them would unstan the group if this whole thing ends up with mhj leaving and new jeans staying at hybe.

2) As edgy as some of them like to act, tokkis are scared of armys and a lot of them are armys who just Stan new jeans because BTS haven't done anything for years, so they attack other hybe groups and fandom openly, but choose their words when it comes to BTS or armys And they have such a huge superiority complex, like they genuinely believe new jeans makes the best music in kpop or something. That's like saying pink pantheress makes the best music you've ever heard btw.

3) This whole thing proves just how adept hybe are with mediaplay, and it's pretty obvious that they were responsible for some of the negative media Jimin received during his debut.

4) I believe 100% that min heejin despises bts, and have always felt so even before now. This is just confirmation of something I already knew, so yes I do believe that she's egotistical enough to say "bang copied her to create BTS", as she said she was approached by hybe after she left sm and probably didn't want to have anything to do with hybe and BTS because she's always harbored resentment for them as she used to be in charge of exo, but she had to because she had no other option and saw them as a stepping stone. And she admitted herself that she spoke to a shaman about them.

5) while I do believe that she feels that way about BTS, hybe only released this to make her look bad and to get army's involved. And it's another indication of how skillfull they are at swaying public opinion.

6) I saw new jeans fans saying every fandom is dragging new jeans when that is not the truth. There'll always be a few trolls but everyone's dragging mhj and worrying about new jeans. They want a "us against the world" moment so bad. And some of them can't stop talking about how bad things could go for new jeans if they stayed with hybe because that's what they want to happen. Everyone wants their fave to leave a shitty label, but when you realize that it's not happening you should hope that the label finally does their job instead of saying nothing good's ever going to happen like you want it to be that way just to prove you're right. (Pjms are guilty of this. Instead of wishing that hybe wakes up and does something for him, they'll imply nothing's ever going to go great as long as he's there, almost like they want that to be the case so they can't continue talking about hybe all day long. Sometimes it's ok to wish for the best in certain situations, instead of acting like you're praying for the worst in order to justify your opinions)

7) fearnots are annoying as fuck , it's weird how they tried to prove to mhj disbanded GFriend because they want buddies off their back, when that would mean they will transfer their hatred from lsrfm onto njns, which is probably what some fearnots wanted anyways. But on the other hand tokkis trying to act like they defended le sserafim but now fearnots betrayed them is funny because most Tokkis openly hate and shade le sserafim all the time, because they think they're beneath new jeans while fearnots are usually calm and don't even talk about new jeans at all. Tokkis are made up of edgy stans and most of them were laughing during the whole hate train and they also try to shade their music because of the whole smart controversy. Le sserafim might genre opp but you can never call them boring and in my opinion they make way better music than new jeans, but new jeans has better vocals and an obvious identity.

With this discussion of music, none of these hybe groups make the best music in 4th gen anyways. Amongst the top 4th gen groups, Ive makes the best music hands down (if we forget their last comeback ever happened) and then you have lesser known groups like triple s and Billlie. Fifty fifty were also hit makers, (not even talking about cupid, although it is objectively a really great song)

There right there Laxus told Freed to contain the explosion, we Do Not see Freed move until after Laxus has launched his attack, and yet he still managed to write a protective inscription and contain the blast. “You’re quick on your feet, as always” says Laxus.

I say it’s this moment here is Laxus’ romantic awakening he was already aware he was gay but he just didn’t think he was really into anyone at the moment until right here and probably on their way back Laxus says very casually he and Freed should go out, giving the rest of the Thunder Legion a heart attack.

I take this as my proof because two episodes later is the first time we see Laxus acknowledging and even permitting Freed’s gentle romantic advances;

The Fawcetts are a clan primarily made up of Ravenclaws. They reside in Ottery St. Catchpole, a stone’s throw away from other well-known magical families like the Diggorys and the Weasleys. Like their neighbors, they are open-minded about magical ancestry and progressive when it comes to Beast and Being rights, but what sets them apart is how passionate they are about academic and societal achievement. While the Diggorys put their family first and the Weasleys put what’s morally right first, the Fawcetts believe that one should always strive for the very best and never rest on one’s laurels when it comes to anything. In contrast to the Diggorys and Weasleys, as well, the Fawcetts are “new blood,” so to speak, among prominent magical families, with their most famous members, Reginald and Percival Fawcett, having made a respectful name for themselves as head of the Departments of Magical Law Enforcement and the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures, respectively, back in the mid-1800′s. Therefore high expectations were placed on Reginald’s only son Grover and -- by extension -- on Grover’s children. 

Grover Fawcett soon enough honored his father Reginald’s legacy by becoming a well-respected member of the Minister for Magic’s support staff. The sudden death of his wife Clara Diggory-Fawcett, however, crippled Grover significantly, leaving him feeling ill-equipped to look after three young children on his own -- particularly his middle child, who had started expressing disinterest in following the family legacy or in pursuing academics much at all. Grover thus enlisted the support of his mother Alice, a very stern and conservative woman who hoped to “groom” Grover’s children into a proper gentleman and ladies who could build on their grandfather, great-uncle, and father’s successes. Unfortunately, that middle child -- the one who would eventually be known the world over as the comedic film actor Eli “Funnyman” Fawcett -- was a square peg being shoved into a circular hole, and no matter what, he would just not satisfy his grandmother’s high expectations. 

This isn’t to say there was no happiness in the Fawcett home, after Clara’s death -- in fact, one could say that in those days, the child that would become known as Eli, who preferred to just be called “Fawcett” in those days, was the sunshine that kept the Fawcett home from becoming too cold, dreary, and serious. His jokes never failed to make his brother Enoch cackle with laughter, even when he was at his most anxious. His dancing was so expert that even his younger sister Emilia, who he never saw eye-to-eye with, always forced him to dance with her at parties. His father always spoke so fondly of how his second-born child’s hazel eyes would shine just like his mother’s. And even overly critical, stern Grandma Fawcett couldn’t not crack a smile, whenever he played the piano. 

Despite these little pieces of joy, though, the pressure on that second child became heavier and heavier over time, making it more and more difficult for him to keep that smile on and soldier through. When he finally left Hogwarts with no NEWTs and no career path forward in the Wizarding World, it was made very clear to that child that would become Eli Fawcett that he was a disappointment to his family and that the only way he’d be able to make himself “useful” to them was through a good marriage. Surely his sunny disposition would be enough to net him and his family a successful match, at least! For the second-born Fawcett, however, that was the straw that broke the camel’s back. Without a second thought, or even much thought in the first place, he packed a bag and boarded the first boat out of England to the United States, prepared to make his own life in an entirely new country and -- ultimately -- in an entirely new world, living largely like a Muggle. 

To this day, a decade or so later, Eli has not seen his family in person. He remains in written and telephone correspondence and occasional Floo contact with Enoch, who even now tries to mend the broken bonds between his younger sibling and the rest of the family, but otherwise, Eli hears very little from his family. And in return, the Fawcetts -- again, aside from Enoch -- rarely talk about Grover’s “delinquent second daughter,” out of shame both from how he’s reflected badly on them in polite society and from how they ultimately know it was their fault that he’s lost to them.

i was thinking about how the only thing i didn't love in the full barbie trailer was ken in the real world hospital, telling a doctor that he should be able to do surgery because he's a man, and doesn't believe that's she's a doctor as a woman. it's very un-ken of him—ken was created exclusively to support barbie. he doesn't have a real job of his own! if anyone understands women having real jobs, it should be him.

so i was thinking there must be something else going on, like maybe traveling to the real world opens ken's eyes to the possibility of a patriarchy and men having more power (something that obviously doesn't exist in barbieland). then i read this quote from greta gerwig:

and i was like "hmm maybe barbieland is like the garden of eden and he gets tempted with the fruit of knowledge lol" and then i watched the trailer again and saw that at some point BARBIELAND becomes KENDOM:

and i'm putting some puzzle pieces together…obviously there's still much to be explored and i think greta gerwig is a genius so i'm sure there are even more layers than i think but i just wanted to put these thoughts down so i can refer back to them in july!
