Some kai stuff I want to post in honor of me getting a kai plush!!! I won't get him until about april but still!! :3 also this is just in an au where there is no death game and things r perfect 😞😞

I think kai definitely can crochet AND OR knit and loves fall bc he can spend time making sweaters and what not, I can specifically see him making sara and joe sweaters I don't see anyone talk abt him and Joe bc while main game he says almost nth about Joe but I think he keeps tabs on joe bc of how close he is with sara and it would make sense if he was fond of joe as well as Sara so ofc hes making Joe a little dog sweater.

I associate fall with candles just bc of all the fall related scents that come out so ofc Kai does have his own collection of fall candles but he kinda seems like he would enjoy cinnamon so definitely those kinds of scents as well. In my heart he's got a bit of a sweet tooth but in fall he totally goes into like a baking craze, pies, cakes, breads all that stuff but I feel they would just be given to others rather than him keeping it for himself.

Ever since I found out Kai likes dramas and stuff I cannot get the idea of him doing laundry while watching a telenovela. I think it would be silly if it's one of those things where he is watching it while Sara and joe might be over and they start becoming just as invested as kai is and they all binge watch dramas on saturdays. wuh they're so precious

He likes going to farmers markets, like the far out ones in the middle of butt nowhere but always has really good apple bread and sweet fruit jams. He always keeps strawberry jam stocked for sara and gives her a jar or two to take home with her.

Best gift giver in the world bc a lot of it would be homemade but also catered to the person he's giving the gift to obviously, I think he's very punctual he has these gifts prepped weeks or even months in advance and is just counting down the days to give them out.

Also bc I literally can't help myself I am the biggest kai self shipper ever just some domestic stuff bleh :p he'd always enjoy cooking for u and trying out different recipes I don't think he'd mind having a partner who's a picky eater bc it gives him a challenge to cook different things that are suited for a totally different pallet and he enjoys the payoff for making something his s/o likes

Date wise I think kai would prefer smth way more intimate, like at home dinner and stuff like that he's a corny little guy but I love him sm he flusters very easy and gets a bit shy over complements WHICH IK IS ALREADY KINDA CANON but still I love this little goober..

Call Me

Okay so I want to throw this little bit out into the universe of one of my favorite instances of Jasper I've written. Context: He's a host for a dinky late night radio show and he has like... 10-15 listeners max and David is one of them, a college student who Can’t Sleep even between classes and his job, so he’s up late late listening to Jasper’s show. He calls in sometimes because Jasper is always offering advice and encouraging people to call in and chat, specifically about LGBTQ topics and David finds comfort and encouragement in their chats. They’ve been talking for a while but he still goes by the name Red.

“Alright you night owls, this next one goes out to my long lost buddy, Red.”

David looked up at the radio in surprise, his pencil stilling on the page.

“It’s been a while since we’ve heard from ya and we miss you dude. And I’m gonna get hella gay up in here, but that’s on brand for me, I miss you.”

David’s breath caught in his throat painfully, his heart hammering.

“So I hope you catch this, give us a call, let me know how you’re doing buddy I’m dyin’ here, don’t leave me hanging. Cause I’ve got a question for you and you wont know what until you gimme a ring. Yes I’m gonna be that guy. So call. Please.”

The music picked back up, and true to Jasper’s word, Blondie’s Call Me started playing.

The pencil had slipped from his fingers without realizing as David tried to decipher all of that, especially that last, sincere please. Jasper missed his calls? Maybe he was just worried because David had dropped off so suddenly. It had just been too nerve wracking once he realized he was crushing on the radio host. But what could Jasper possibly want to ask him? Was it good or bad?

He was still nervous and the idea of calling in downright terrified him now, but… he at least owed it to Jasper to let him know he was alive. It must have looked bad, for him to be consistently calling about once a week and then suddenly stop with no warning, going on nearly two months of silence now. Jasper was always so nice and seemingly happy to talk to him, he must be worried. Gosh, now he had to call, he felt terrible.

David had to take several steadying breaths and about twenty good minutes to work up the nerve, but he managed to eventually press call, hands shaking as he listened to the phone ring.

“What’s up caller you’re live, how’s it hangin?”

“Um, hi...” he said quietly.

He heard a soft intake of air and a shuffle. “That you Red?” Jasper asked, sounding hopeful, the excited smile evident in his voice.

“Y-yes, it’s me,” David replied.

“Aw, buddy, good to hear your voice again man, I was gettin’ worried bout you.”

“I’m so sorry I- just- life, you know?” David hedged, feeling even more guilty because he couldn’t give an honest explanation.

“I feel that, it’s cool dude, it’s just good to hear from ya. I assume you heard my call out?”

David’s heart started beating faster, so, so antsy. If it weren’t for the guilt of worrying Jasper he probably wouldn’t have had the guts to call, but he could still be a wreck about it, easily. “Yes, I did. You... had a question?”

“Yeah! You don’t mind me askin’ live?”

“Um, sure, that’s fine,” David said nervously. It couldn’t be too bad if it was something Jasper could ask on air. Right?

“Sweet. So. Last we talked your rough waves from the coming out thing were settling. You found a boyfriend yet?” the radio host asked casually.

David eyebrows shot up in surprise, his face going so very red and he was so very grateful this was a phone call, not in person because that would make it ten times worse. “Um- n-no, I- I haven’t… um, no,” he stammered uselessly. Why was this the topic??

“Awesome!” Jasper said in delight, leading to an awkward pause. “Wow fuck that sounded hella mean I am so sorry, I didn’t mean it like that. Cheese and crackers, foot in mouth Jasp, good one. Anyway! I just meant because- like, stop me if this is too weird, or hang up on me, but I was wondering if I could like… take ya on a date?”

David’s heart stopped in surprise, the blush that had just started receding coming back full force. His stomach whirled in a mix of dread and excitement, trying to go one way or the other as his brain stalled for a good long moment-

“Red?”

David sucked in a breath. “Is- are you- are you serious?” he asked softly, trying to keep his voice from shaking.

“Course dude!! I wouldn’t fuck around with you like that, hell no! I’m for super serious!”

“But… we’ve- you- you don’t even know what I look like,” David stammered, trying to find reason to turn him down, but so, so desperately wanting to say yes. He felt stupid for saying it the second it left his mouth, Jasper didn’t seem at all the type to place a lot of importance on appearances.

“I don’t need to! I’m sure you’re rad as hell, but I’m not a looks guy, okay? I like your personality, and I love shootin the shit with you, and you’re super nice. That’s the kinda stuff I’m into, and if you’re hella cute, which I’m sure you are, that’s a bonus!”

David stared down at his desk for a long moment, his thoughts a mess, one hand over his mouth as he took this all in. He had to take a moment to pinch the soft skin on the inside of his arm to decide that this was really happening and he hadn’t passed out at his desk into some dream where his crush happened to reciprocate-

“Reeeddd?” Jasper teased softly after another long pause, bringing him out of his panic spiral. “No pressure my dude, you can say no.”

“Yes,” David blurted shakily.

“Yeah??” Jasper asked, his voice picking up in obvious excitement and relief, despite his apparent brace for a rejection. “For real?”

“Y-yes, I’d… I’d like to,” David said softly, his face still red.

“Aw man, awesome, shit. Okay uh- no PI on air so uh- I go off air at 3, you’re usually up pretty late, yeah? Think you’ll be around?”

“Yes, I should be.”

“Supes, call back when you hear me sign off and we’ll hash stuff out, okay? Or at least do personal numbers to talk during the day.”

“O-okay,” David stammered, his mind whirling. “I’ll do that.”

“Sweet. Okay man, you sound a little wigged out so I’ll let you get back, and I will be counting the minutes til sign off,” Jasper teased.

“Okay, um, talk to you later? Bye.”

“Ta-ta for now!” Jasper sung.

David disconnected the call, his pulse still racing as he listened to Jasper on the radio once more, turning the volume back up just in time to hear.

“Oh my god, wack, holy shit you guys he said yes- fuck he’s probably listening and I sound like a giant goober- hi Red! Okay, anymore callers before we go back to music? Holy shitballs.”

A quick, incredulous laugh escaped his mouth before David could stifle it, his chest swirling with fear and elation. Jasper- Jasper had asked him on a date- and he sounded just as rattled as David felt. That helped a little to know it wasn’t just him- Jasper had just been loads better keeping a cap on his nerves while they were talking.

“You’re up caller!”

David came back from his thoughts when he heard a familiar voice, one of Jasper’s other regular callers.

“Oooooh Jasper asked a boy on a daaatteee~” she teased in delight.

“I know oh my god dude I’m still weak from it, I didn’t wanna mess up with Red but I like… really want to meet him and take him out, especially once he stopped calling? And no offense Red if you’re still there it’s TOTALLY cool cause that woke my ass up! Holy shit I still can’t believe he said yes.”

David listened all throughout the rest of Jasper’s show, all thoughts of homework lost as he leaned his elbows on the desk, hands clasped in front of his mouth. Anticipation made his nerves spike again while sitting through Jasper’s familiar sign off, where he bid goodnight to his listeners and started the after hours playlist. David waited a minute before taking a deep, deep breath and pressing the call button.

It rang only once before the line picked up, and a hopeful voice answered. “Red?”

“H-hi Jasper,” he replied.

“Hey dude! Hey, sorry to put you on the spot like that but- y’know, I figured it would be less creepy to everyone to just be upfront and ask you, instead of being like ‘hey call me after hours hoohoo wink wink,’ ya dig?”

David stifled a giggle, smiling. “I understand. It probably would’ve made me more nervous to have to wait that long, wondering what your question was,” he admitted.

“That too! I wanted to just… put it out there, figured it’d be best. So! You’re really cool with going on a date?”

“Yes, I… I’d like that. To meet you,” he added softly, flushed.

“Rad, okay, nice. So let’s just exchange numbers for tonight? I know you might not sleep anyway but it’s friggen late and I don’t want to keep either of us up too long.”

“That sounds good, I don’t want to keep you up either,” David replied. He gave his number first when Jasper gave the go-ahead, listening to the other man hum as he typed it into his phone, and a few moments later David heard a buzz near his ear.

“I just shot you a text so you have my number and can add me.”

“Got it,” David replied, pulling the phone away briefly to see a text notification at the top of the screen, a short string of peace sign emojis that made him smile.

“Awesome sauce. Well- shit, I’m really excited but again, we can talk later. Try to get some sleep, okay dude?” he asked, sounding genuinely concerned and losing his usual casual tone. “I worry bout you.”

David smiled, touched by the thought. “I’ll try.”

“Okay, I’ll text you sometime tomorrow- today, whatever, much later. Give you a chance to snooze. Night Red, and thanks for- you know. Thanks. Night!”

“Goodnight Jasper, and thank you too,” he replied softly.

“No prob, catch ya later.”

David pulled the phone away and ended the call, his heart still hammering as he tried to comprehend everything. But he decided to pack it away for later, turning off the radio and closing the long abandoned textbook. Hopefully he could get a few hours of sleep and be a tiny bit more composed when he next spoke with Jasper.

Doubtful, but it was a nice thought.

A = Attractive: what do they find attractive about the other?

About you- the mushy answer is your brain. You're so fucking clever and he adores it.

Physically, he loves your back. You're so soft and he can just pepper your back for kisses for hours.

And he loves rubbing circled into the skin of the small of your back. He loves your rolls and how soft and silky you are.

He likes your shoulder blades too and how most people might not see them but he gets too and it drives him wild.

B = Baby: do they want a family? why/why not?

He does but he's just worries ya know. He just doesn't want to pass on the werewolf gene but the thought of a little you running around just warms his heart. Maybe not a whole herd of children but like one cool baby? Yeah, that sounds good to him.

C = Cuddle: how do they cuddle?

Look, just accept the fact that you're going to be the little spoon. I mean, that's just gonna be the way it is. Remus seems like the sweet, shy type. But this mother fucker is dom as hell when it's personal. He ain't gonna be the little spoon if he doesn't have to so I hope you're good with that. Also, he loves your back so he's very into it being pressed against his bare chest.

Side note: If you happen to be shirtless against his bare chest? Boy is in heaven.

D = Dates: what are dates with them like?

Unexpected. You never know with him. From a distance you'd expect his brainy ass to take you to the bookstore or library or idk, something quiet.

Hell no. His spooky ass ends up taking you to the Forbidden Forest. At night.

You later discover it's because he can see in the fucking dark and he's comfortable there. He intentionally drug you out there just so you'd be scared and cling to him. You nearly strangled him when you found out.

You're his drive to keep going. Real talk. Remus has a lot going on and sometimes it's too much for him. He's contemplated ending it all more than once. You keep him going. He loves you more than anything. But more importantly you help him see that HE'S worth it to HIMSELF.

F = Feelings: when did they know they were falling in love?

When you shoved Sirius in the lake for trying to steal a kiss. And then proceeded to lecture him about it....and made him apologize....to everyone he'd ever did it too.

G = Gentle: are they gentle? If so, how?

In everyday life, Remus is a sweetheart. Such a nice boy, according to your parents, lol. He's got a mischevious streak but he doesn't use it on you. Behind closed doors? Well, I done told ya. He's dom for life.

H = Hand/Hold: how do they like to hold? how do they like to hold hands?

Remus is more of an arm around your waist kind of guy. Ya know, he loves that back. However, he does enjoy when he wraps his arm around you and you place you place your hand over his. Makes him feel all the specials.

I = Impression: first impression/s

Well, you met when you were eleven and he honestly didn't think much of you. It's not your fault though. He was an eleven year old werewolf going to school for the first time. Poor kid was damn near having a heart attack.

However, three weeks later you showed him up in class and little Remus Lupin got his very first crush.

And then you lent him a piece of parchment and boy damn near floated right off his chair.

Been making heart eyes at you since.

J = Joker: are they into pulling pranks?

Look, everyone thinks it's all James and Sirius but you know better!

Remus is the brains most of the time and he's a fucking instigator. HE fucking starts it. And you know it. He claims innocence but he's the damn devil.

K = Kisses: how do they kiss?

Slowly and mind blowing. It always takes you a few seconds to open your eyes and get your head together. Lawd, Jesus.

L = Love: who says I love you first?

He did. He didn't meant to. I mean, he meant it a 1000% but he hadn't meant to say it at that moment. You caught him off guard with a surprise hot chocolate in the hospital wing and he let it slip. You tried to save him and acted like you didn't hear it when he panicked. But then he stopped and was like, "Actually, love. I do love you. I meant it. I mean, I didn't exactly planning on loosing it like that but I do love you. It's alright if you don-" "Remus Lupin, you shut your damn mouth. If you think for one second that I'm not hopelessly in love with you than I have sorely misjudged your intelligence." you snipped. He just grinned. "Stop smirking at me. Shut your face and drink your hot chocolate before I kick you." "Yes, love." You just rolled your eyes at him.

M = Memory: their favourite moment together

He quite enjoys the semester you were paired with Sirius for potions. It's relevant because you teased him during potions one day until he lost it and started sucking face halfway through. Slughorn ripped you two apart and paired you with Sirius for the rest of the semester.

You glared the whole semester and he thought you were the cutest fucking thing on the planet.

N = Nickel: do they spoil? do they buy the person they love everything?

He does but it's less with money and more with special things that actually mean something. Hand written excerpts from books he thinks you'll like. Little flowers he found on one of his walks. And a sweet or two knicked from the kitchens.

O = Orange: what color reminds them of their other half?

Green tends to remind him of you. Much in the sense that many people associate it with nature and new life, he associates it with you for the same reason. Being with you is natural to him and you constantly breathe new beginnings to his life.

P = Pet names: what pet names do they use?

Love, mostly. But occasionally he'll say sweetheart or darling.

Q = Quaint: what is their favourite non-modern thing?

Vintage books. Because of fucking course.

R = Rainy Day: what do they like to do on a rainy day?

Honestly. He likes to snuggle up with a good cup of tea or cocoa and read. You'll likely fall asleep and he's very content with the idea of sleeping on his chest while he reads his book.

S = Sad: how do they cheer themselves/each other up.

He cheers himself up by looking at pictures of friends, family and of course, you. It's a favorite.

He cheers you up by reading your favorite book that just so happens to be a children's book.

T = Talking: what do they love to talk about?

He always shares his recent reads but also he's quite fond of talking about possible pranks. I told you. He's the fucking devil.

U = Unencumbered: What helps them relax?

A massage does wonders for this boy. All that stress knots up in his neck and shoulders but you've got the magic touch.

V = Vaunt: what do they like to show off? What are they proud of?

As much as he hates being a werewolf, he'll admit that it has it's perks. He can see in the dark. His hearing is especially good. And though he doesn't do quidditch- Remus is actually a fucking fantastic chaser. He has no interest in joining the team but he's bomb as fuck at it. And he does enjoying showing out for you.

W = Wedding: when, how, where do they propose?

I could see Remus proposing in the middle of the night. You're curled up on his chest and it's pitch black. You're nearly asleep when he asks. You shoot up like a bolt of lightning and press your damn so face to his that he can feel your eyelashes on his cheeks. You demand he say it again. He does, a bit more nervously. And he almost died...because you nearly squeezed him to death. And also nearly ruptured his ear drums. Of fucking course you said yes. As if there were any other answer.

X = Xylophone: What’s their song?

You made him dance with you. Poor boy could barely keep it together but now it's his favorite. He can't hear it without thinking of you.

“and they lived…” impressions

{Quick request to anyone reading: I’m watching OUaT for the first time, and I want to avoid spoilers. So, if you want to discuss something spoilery, I’d be grateful if you could start a new post for that. Thank you!}

You know. Season finales tend to do a number on me. Show finales, turns out, are even worse.

Or better. Depends on how you want to look at it.

Shouting of various kinds under the cut. And spoilers of various kinds. Also, everybody should watch Wonderland, it’s straight-up excellent.

Ho. Ly. Crap.

This was fantastic. Like, I didn’t have much time to watch this episode, and I thought “well, maybe I can watch ten minutes now to take off the edge of the cliffhanger and watch the rest tomorrow” and nope, I absolutely could not. I mean… how do I love this finale. Let me count the ways:

We have symmetrical storytelling.

We have a thematically appropriate defeat of the villain.

and with a Disney mythology gag thrown in there, as well

We have some tragedy…

…but not pointless tragedy.

We have True Love’s Kiss!

And we have all the Happily Ever After.

Just all of it. This is so good. In thirteen episodes, these characters have been through so much bullshit, and now their story ends in what I’d almost call a “maximally happy” way. (With one exception. I’m getting to that later.)

Apart from all that, we had a zombie army, grand speeches, hilarious banter, and some quality Rabbit Family content. I love it. It’s wonderful. Absolutely no pun intended.

“And this is where Cyrus’s spleen fell out!” —actual dialogue, no joke necessary

Alright, since I could spend the entire evening gushing about this show, I’ll try and narrow it down a bit to maybe two or three things that were The Best:

Amara’s swan song and the defeat of Jafar, the conclusion to Ana’s and Will’s story, and the Happilogue, which is absolutely a word and you cannot convince me otherwise.

Amara’s part in the finale was both awesome and heartbreaking. Because she knew, right from the first moment, that she was going to die soon. If they said it oud loud, I must have missed it, but it was still pretty clear that the moment she returned the water to the well, she’d die herself. (And Cyrus seemed to suspect something, at least. Him grabbing her hand wasn’t “no, what are you doing”, it was more “wait, I’m not ready to let you go” and yes, I cried.) She knew she wouldn’t live to actually be Alice’s mother-in-law, and she was trying to find out as much as possible about this woman her son wanted to spend his life with. And she clearly liked what she saw. (Which proves she has functioning eyes, but never mind that.) Like I said. It was sweet.

Some special love to the resurrection scene. Mostly because of Mrs. Rabbit’s “Well, if you’re going to do it that way…”, because that’s honestly some good composure when someone is violating the laws of reality on your living room floor.

And, of course, there was the whole scene at the well.

is it just me or is there an awful lot of water imagery in this show?

::sad noises:: Look, I knew it was coming, but that doesn’t mean I was happy about it. Still, the way they defeated Jafar was pretty amazing. Not only was it a clever plan that utilised Jafar’s own hubris/overconfidence, it also contained a nice little Disney-mythology nod (Jafar becoming a genie) and had Alice at her most badass, even though—or maybe especially because—she wasn’t hitting people with a sharp thing at a time.

facing the realms’ most powerful wizard with nothing but a cocky grin. Will would be so proud.

Although, in maybe one of the better instances of having your penny and your bun, Alice still got to do the dramatic Speech to the Troops™, neatly juxtaposed with Jafar’s. I’m not complaining, mind. “Alice the Action Hero” is an important facet of her character, and comparing her and Jafar this directly made for good groundwork before going into the final act.

And when they came back to the palace and Cyrus’s brother asked if it had been “all for nothing” and he replied “no, it was for everything”? Dead. I was dead. If the rest of the episode hadn’t slain me, that would have been the moment. Goodbye, cruel world, and all that.

So, what was the bit that actually murdered me, you ask?

Well, take a wild guess.

God. These two. Just… everything about them, especially this episode, because even after the big damn kiss last episode, there was still some amazing emotional payoff to be had.

The whole Scarlet Queen sequence, I have to say, kind of stole the show from Alice’s earlier defiant declaration that not even Jafar changing the past could ever destroy her love for Cyrus, maybe because it… didn’t happen. If there’s one thing I can fault this episode for (well, one other thing; please see below), it’s that Jafar never went through with his threat, instead just turning to Ana for answers.

Oh, this also answers my question: yup, Jafar does just like to see people in pain. Especially Will, for some bizarre reason, though I suppose that’s just because Will is completely at his mercy and can’t really fight back

Still, enough complaining, because overall, I loved this storyline. And Will got to summarise their relationship in this beautiful, earnest, and completely heartbroken speech.

“You had real love once, and you know it’s not that simple. Love is messy. It means arguing and making up and laughing and crying and struggling, and sometimes it doesn’t seem worth it. But it is. And at the end, when you’re in love, no matter what happens, you forgive each other. I forgive you, Ana, for what you did to me. Because I love you. And if there’s any part of you that has a shred of love left for me, then please, help us.”

And more than just summarising their relationship, it’s also one of the best “takes” on True Love this show has ever provided, as well as a short version of Will’s own arc. He was rightfully angry at Ana for what she did to him, and he was just as right in forgiving her. And he knows that. I also love how this little speech is set up, because Will tries to distract Ana with some ridiculous and very transparent trick before, and when it doesn’t work, he immediately starts pouring his heart out. And obviously part of that is because he has a heart to pour out, but I think a larger aspect is that… well, the worst thing possible has already happened to him. He’s seen Ana die and wasn’t able to save her. No point beating around the bush, is there?

And that little “yup, she’s back” on his part was all kinds of adorable.

Now, I’m not 100% happy with Ana’s second resurrection, mostly because Nyx giving out the water wasn’t on-screen. It’s emphatically not a deus-ex-machina, because the properties of the water were well-established, and we’d seen the wrong use of it already bring down punishment twice, so showing the stuff work as intended was only fair. But it still felt a little out of nowhere and could have easily been fixed with a thirty-second extra scene. I suppose it was a time-issue, and it didn’t really hurt the story, so I’m hardly going to complain, though. These two have suffered enough. They certainly deserve an “easy” out for once.

One thing was left unresolved, though, and it will just bug me to the end of time.

Hey. Hey, writers. Writers? You gotta get her out of there. Listen. Listen. You can’t just leave her there! She wanted to be free! She wanted to stop being a monster, how can you just leave her there?

Somebody fix this, or so help me, I’m gonna do it myself.

Leaving the unhappy monster behind… the Happilogue!

OK. Look. I’m… ambivalent on big, cheesy weddings, for several reasons, but I will freely admit that this one was set up well, and executed in a way I can absolutely get behind. Because while Alice and Cyrus never complained about their unquiet life of adventure—after all, they were together, so what more could they want?—it was established early on that Alice never wanted anything so much as a stable home where she was welcome and loved. They always wanted to settle down, and now, after being through hell together (as the Rabbit very aptly noted), they finally get to do that. It’s good! I like it! And I love that the wedding was as weird as you would expect from two people who came from two completely different worlds, fell in love in a third, fought to protect that world and came out of the whole thing with lifelong friends everywhere.

And all in all, I am very glad the show took the time to show all of the characters in this happy moment. They’ve been through a lot, and so has the viewer, and watching them like this is like a chance to exhale. It’s good now. They made it.

Oh, and for some more crying:

OK, I wasn’t completely sure about this one at first, because Alice’s father realising that his dream was so much more than that could have been such an amazing on-screen moment, but I also get the need to keep up momentum (generally speaking, the defeat of the bad guy, reconciliation with the relationship character, achieving the story goal, and bringing down the curtain should happen in as quick a succession as possible), and this was still a beautiful moment. Not only that they’ve reconciled, but also that Alice’s father still recognises how badly he fucked up, and how much effort it was for Alice to forgive him. The “it was all a dream” reveal was an excellent bit of storytelling, and could have used its own conflict resolution, but I still adore this little scene for showing the result of their reconciliation.

And then there were the goodbyes.

so many tears. and in the show, too.

I don’t even have that much to say, except that I loved to see how cordial they all were with each other, how Ana made clear that this wasn’t forever, and they would see each other again, soon, and…

“Hold on to your heart this time.” “You hold on to yours” —these two goobers, clearly not talking about the hearts in their chests

This. So much this. From the first perfunctory “alright, goodbye then” hug to Alice running after Will and barrelling into him, because they are one of the most important people in each other’s lives, and they’ve been through so much together, and just… ::happy sigh:: Have I mentioned that I adore their friendship? Because it’s really, really good.

The actual epilogue was very sweet, but almost unnecessary. We already knew these two would live happily, and possibly ever after, but seeing what became of Will and Ana, and that Alice really does still visit Wonderland from time to time, was a nice bonus. Also worth it for this precious little bean:

It’s weird. On the one hand I can’t believe this show is over, because I really don’t want it to be, but on the other, it’s been such a wonderfully concise, well-crafted storyline that I also absolutely can believe it. So, just as a closing note, thanks to everyone who got me into watching this. It was (pun fully intended) wonderful.

When their s/o pulls them in for an unexpected kiss

Mark

It’s honestly hard to say with Mark. I feel like he’s a little more brazen than some of the other guys simply because he’s American and didn’t grow up in the more polite culture of Korea, but even with that said, he’s still a shy little bub. If it’s early on in the relationship, I feel like he will be more shy about intimate moments like that. His face will go red and he’ll probably let out one of those ridiculously cute nervous giggles. However, if we’re talking later in the relationship, BOI! He’s a Virgo. He’s Cheeky. He’s teasing. He’s going to make you squirm before he’s done with you. I think it would depend on where and when this is happening. If out in public, he’ll kiss you back, but not linger (I feel like he’s more conscious of how others perceive him). Now, if it’s at home, you can expect things to heat up pretty quickly, whether it be a steamy make-out or something a little more energy exerting. Either way, I think Mark is a toss up kind of guy. “Baby, you should know better than to surprise me like that.” (do I really need to even say ‘wink wink’?)

I don’t know what it is about this man that I just think he’s a fluffy, flustered puppy. Like he seems the type to be more gruff and tough, but he’s not. Okay? Whoever is blessed with the chance to be this one’s significant other will learn quite quickly that he’s a giant push over. He loves to love and loves to be loved. Lots of blushing, lots of stuttering, lots of unintended aegyo. Of course, he does have a more ‘serious’ side for when he’s hot and bothered, but you have to get there first or he has to already have the bedroom on his mind. I don’t know, I guess when I think of Jaebum I just envision cheese. Like he’s so cheese-y! Horrible dad jokes, puns that only make sense to him, and dirty, dirty mind that he shares with LITERALLY NO ONE EVER. Fluff, flustered, puppy? Yes. Daddy material? Also yes. He ain’t even my bias, ladies and gents! I know one when I see one, I’m just sayin’! Anyway, even if he leans more towards the Tsundere side of his personality after you surprise kiss him, don’t be alarmed or discouraged. This guy LOVES when you kiss him, especially when he doesn’t see it coming. Also, am I the only one who envisions hot, steamy, make up session? Like you’re both arguing and suddenly BAM you’ve smashed your lips together and the rest is history? I can’t be the only one!

Jinyoung

I’m going to be completely honest with you. You didn’t start this. We both know it, alright? There’s no shame in that. This guy has already initiated the ‘Random Kisses War’! He thinks your flustered reaction is just the cutest damn thing on the planet! Likewise, about the only time you CAN make him flustered is when you kiss him out of the blue! It’s a competition between the two of you for sure! He started it and you are determined to finish it. The kisses will probably range from light butterfly pecks to hot open mouthed kisses. I mean, this is Jinyoung we’re talking about. Those pillows he calls lips are pretty much begging to be kissed. I AM JUST SAYING! Anyhoo! Back to the topic at hand! His reaction would range depending on the type of kiss and why the kiss has happened. I mean, yes, they are surprises but let’s be honest, him pouting after a fight? Very kissable! I feel like in a situation like that, he would try to stay angry at you, but would ultimately fail. How do you stay mad at someone who’s being so freakin cute?! If it’s a ‘I just wanted to kiss you because I love you’ kind of surprise, then he’ll give you that beautiful crescent eyed smile of his. Honestly, is this a competition to see who can surprise the other person more, or just a ploy to see his facial reactions? “Yah! Jagi, why are you making it so hard to stay mad at you? It’s not fair!”

Jackson

OMG! This poor puppy would just melt into the ground! He’d giggle, squawk, laugh hysterically, maybe have a mental breakdown, all while he holds his blushing cheeks. Jackson is a goober. We all know it. He’s a precious, sweet, gentle soul and he loves when you surprise him in any way. You giving him kisses is his second favorite thing! I say second favorite because this guy is a snuggler. He loves to encase you in his arms and cuddle. If you kiss him by surprise DURING a snuggle session, he’d be over the moon! Honestly, though, Jackson would crave your kisses. They make everything better. Had a bad day? Kiss. Not feeling well? Kiss. Frustrated with something? Kiss. Sad about something? Kiss. Need a pick me up? Kiss. Like imagine this scenario: you’ve come to their practice session to cheer them on. They’ve been at it for a few hours now and they all look so exhausted. They take a quick five-minute break, in which Jackson crawls over to where you are sitting so he can drop his sweaty head in your soft lap. You gently dab at the sweat on his forehead and face with a towel before asking him if he’s okay. He says he is, but he just needs to lay there for a few moments. He might whine about having to get up and practice more and just UGH! So you drop your head and plop a sweet kiss on his lips, telling him he can do it. Most likely, this boy is going to leap to his feet with a happy shout! “AHHH!! LET’S GO! LET’S DO THIS!” *boys eye him oddly* “Just a few more minutes, Jackson” “NO! WE CAN DO THIS! MY JAGI SAID SO!”

Youngjae

Sweet, blushing baby. He’d be so flustered! So shy! He’d be so happy and yet so, so, so very embarrassed. Not in a bad way, though. Like he wants to be able to kiss you the way you do him. He wants to be able to just drop unexpected kisses on your lips or cheeks or forehead. He hasn’t told you yet, but he’s slowly building up the courage to do so. Youngjae’s a fluffball. Just the cutest of cutie pies! Please, for the love of god, do not underestimate this angel faced baby. He’s fluffy alright, but he’s also got a side that could make antis swoon. The surprise kiss is such a turn on. It’s part of the reason he gets so flustered. He finds your little display of dominance so very hot. If the both of you are in public he’ll likely pull away red faced and stuttering, but don’t for a second think he’s forgotten! This guy is going to get you back one way or the other. I can’t say it won’t be enjoyable, though, but don’t push him too much! This one is a Virgo through and through and he’ll tease you till you cry. He looks so innocent, just like Mark, but do not be fooled! He’s a devious master in disguise. Even if he doesn’t get you back right away, he’ll keep a running tally in his head. Payback will be a bitch.

BamBam

Screaming child. Just an absolute screaming child. Your kisses give him energy, which the other members sometimes don’t appreciate cuz we all know how crazy Bam can get. But even still, they think it’s cute. Bam is a lot like Jackson in the sense that he craves to be kisses and that your kisses can shoo away any grey clouds that might be looming over his precious little head. I feel like there are two modes to Bam: the cutie pie excitable child and the sexy hello there young man. Most of the time you get the first one, but he IS a young man, which means he’s going to have some dirty thoughts at some point. Like some of the other guys, these surprise kisses could (and probably do) lead to hot and heavy wink-wonk time. Don’t underestimate this dude. If he’s in the mood, you will likely be unable to escape him. Once he has something in mind, he usually acts on it. So say you drop that sweet, loving peck on his lips. You better move quickly, because once those arms anchor around you, there’s no escape. I mean, he’s not my bias but like I’m blind, that boy has some….eh, we’ll call it charisma, yeah? There’s definitely a dangerous pull to Bam, like a bee to the flower. If nothing else, planting surprise kisses on him will be quite entertaining.

Yugyeom

Yugyeom is a lot like Mark in my mind. I feel like he can be super shy and reserved when out in public or with other people around, but the second that door closes you’re going to pay for those surprise kisses. Yugyeom gets flustered easily, no doubt. He’s still quite young and is for the most part still learning about himself and the world at large. Even still, he is a young man and as such has those lovely rated R thoughts (even though those of us who see him as wee bab try to deny it). His reaction to being pulled into a kiss could go a few ways. Either he turns into a tomato and proceeds to whine in happy embarrassment; he kisses you back softly and warns that you’re in for it when you have a moment to yourselves, or he’s just going to dive right on in. I feel like he’d be a lot like Youngjae here simply because I think something like this would turn him on. Whether you are older or younger than him, he finds this action to be hella sexy, if not a little adorable. I don’t know, I can’t put my finger per say on whether or not he’s a dom or sub, but perhaps a little of both, thus the reason why it turns him on. Yugyeom would enjoy the attention if nothing else.
