ok but i actually am obsessed with the visual language of channeling used in the show. i like how they've draw attention to the use of hand motions since season one, which is making use of the medium quite neatly. not only are the respective channeling styles highly individual, but you can see the various schools of learning — how moiraine and other modern day aes sedai channel compared to ishamael's and lanfear's much sparser hand and finger motions.
egwene, following her trauma with the whitecloaks, favors not using her hands, but she has physical tells; notably, throwing back her shoulders, but she still involves her arms at points in falme, which i took to suggest her needing her hands when she's more tired out. she used her arms, too, when trying to channel at the arches in the tower (more complex weaves, presumably). it doesn't come naturally, she's forcing herself to learn using a harder method, and she still falls back on the easier one at times.
i'd need to revisit nynaeve's scenes, but what we see there is that the power is frequently exploding out of her through the force of her emotion. as i recall, from what we've seen she actually doesn't involve her hands so much, which would make sense for her naturally hovering near a higher power level.
and rand, of course, has perhaps the most muted body language of all — he didn't really need to move at all to channel at the eye of the world or when killing that one fade, and to kill turak and the other seanchan he just lifts his chin and flicks his shoulders back slightly.
it's a cool way of showing us a lot about the respective channelers' training and power levels through use of visual storytelling.

gortash (lowkey forcing) a marriage to one of the upper city nobels to further solidify his push for total control of baldurs gate. he's at the alter with his spouse-to-be when all of a sudden they're pinned to the dias by a spear hit directly through their head, piercing through their open mouth, their "i do" dying with them. there's chaos, screaming, crying all around him, but as he looks towards the bottom of the aisle, shaking with rage and covered in blood, the dark urge, the person he thought was lost to him forever, returns home. he hopes he can survive their wrath long enough to reunite properly.

Sees a nice article my friend posted about the voice actor of The Emperor saying:
“everything The Emperor gives is considered. And I know that leans in towards players saying it’s all manipulation, and with all stuff like that it is, to a degree. I think every single character in Baldur’s Gate manipulates. In fact, I think we all manipulate.- . Anyone The Emperor encounters is likely already going to have a lot of weighty preconceptions that The Emperor may have to get through or contend with. Because of this, The Emperor’s very much on edge, they’re treading a very fine line" X
then i scroll down n see deranged comments like “see i always knew he’s an abuser, nice to us when it benefits them, a gaslighter and a narcissist. He’s cazador levels of evil and its all just a matter of time before he mindrapes us like he did to stelmane”
Do you know what the word fun means? And have you ever experienced it??? Its fun to peel back the layers of a character- see the motivation behind their actions and realize there is more to them than what I experienced the last time- Sorry for sucking the emperors big fat cock i guess???

Geela's reference/concept art!
Translation notes under the cut.
I'm really not sure about the "Is she the Minister of Animals!?" caption. The sequence of characters there appear to be "さま大臣動物!?" The first two characters (さま) are the sama- honorific, indicating it's referencing someone of higher status. The last two characters (動物) mean "animal." The middle ones, however, are kinda weird. "大" can be read as "large," or possibly "university," and "臣" means "retainer or attendant." So, taken at face value, this would read something like, "Sir/Ma'am, [are you/am I/is this] the retainer of large animals?!"
However, for what I'm guessing were grammatical reasons, no automatic translator would translate it that way no matter how much I fiddled with things; and would always default back to just spitting the Japanese words back out. However, if two of the characters are switched around (臣大 becoming 大臣), every automatic translator was suddenly able to interpret it, and I could successfully find the characters as words in a dictionary--but it was translated as "Minister of animals" instead of "retainer of large animals." So it would have read more like, "[Are you/am I/is she] the Minister of Animals?!"
Given the sama- prefix and the way the sentence is formed (as well as the fact that "Minister" is the big title we see used in Hyzante), I decided to go with the "minister" translation, but I'm making the assumption that there was a little bit of a typo there. There's a pretty good chance that this is just a grammatically-shorthanded version of "Ma'am, are you the retainer of large animals?!" Or, as always, it's possible there's a completely different potential meaning that I missed.

Was there a specific scene that made people thought that Lukas would be a good cook/baker in MCSM? I’ve seen multiple people agree with that hc (including myself) but I can’t remember if there was any scene that started it originally or if it was just a vibes thing dhdhdhdh
I can’t recall if there was a scene in the games that highlights it, but there was a post from Eric Stirpe where he said Lukas made the best cookies of anyone in the New Order.
For me personally, though, I go insane over the cookie scene from the first episode and so I just associate cookies with Lukas (and Jesse) in general. I also just really like baking, and that kind of bleeds into a lot of what I’ve been creating lately.
