The Wright Family - AA4 Anthology Translation

Hey all, so earlier on @box-dwelling's post about Phoenix being kind to Apollo, I talked about a story in the official manga. Well, here is that story. I don't think that this story has ever been scanned and translated anywhere, whereas most of the others are floating around.

I didn't want to ruin my book, so rather than scan each page properly, I have taken pictures with my phone. Sorry for the less-than-stellar quality. Also, I translated this using Google Lens, so the translation may not be perfectly accurate but I think it's pretty good.

Naruhodo Family Members (or, The Wright Family) by Yuki Owari (Read right to left.)

p1 Trucy: Daddy, are you going to just leave the hospital without permission? Phoenix: I'm sorry, Trucy, it's because I don't have much free time. Hotti: Well, I'm glad you're feeling better. sfx: heh heh Phoenix: Yeah, but I still have stiff shoulders. It's awful. Apollo: That doesn't have anything to do with anything!! Apollo: If you're going to be discharged from the hospital, at least pack up your stuff properly.

p2 Phoenix: I'm sorry, it's because I had free time. sfx: ha ha ha Apollo: If you have free time, you can also clean it up, right?! Phoenix: Ahahaha. You've grown up, Apollo. Apollo: Even if I'm praised in that way, I'm not happy. Trucy: Oh, yeah! Apollo was amazing today! Phoenix: It seems so. Apollo: But after the trial, you went somewhere, didn't you, Mr. Wright? Phoenix: Because I had free time. Apollo: Enough!

p3 (Eldoon is harmonica… ing) Trucy: Well then! Trucy: To celebrate Papa's discharge from the hospital and as a thank-you for finding my panties, it's the Mr. Hat special! Phoenix: Ah, yes, pants, Trucy's pants. Apollo: Please don't say that. Apollo: Oh… Trucy: Speaking of pants, don't forget these, too. (holds up Little Plum's bloomers) Apollo: That's enough!!

p4 Trucy: When Papa was in the hospital, it seems there was a strange phenomenon at Hickfield Clinic. Apollo: Strange phenomenon? Trucy: Midnight, as the inpatients are sleeping, it seems that mysterious noises are being heard. Apollo: What… what noise… Phoenix: Huh, I didn't know that. Trucy: A nurse on a tour… as they were making their rounds, from a hospital room…

p5 Trucy: The sound of the piano echoes slowly… Phoenix: Ah, me? Apollo: Please, be quiet when you stay in the hospital! Phoenix: It's because I had free time. Apollo: Isn't that all there is to it?? Trucy: Apparently, it has now become one of the Seven Wonders! Papa is a big success! Phoenix: It's an honor, ahahaha. Apollo: This kid is totally… Trucy: I was so moved today, by the Red Fox (Kitaki) family…

p6 Apollo: Me too… Trucy? Phoenix: You must be tired from all sorts of things. Phoenix: Because it seems like ever since you arrived, she's been moving around happily. Apollo: I'm tired, too. Phoenix: Thank you for your help. I was able to recuperate at a slower pace in the hospital. Phoenix: So even if I'm away again, you and Trucy will be fine. Apollo: (smiling) Such irresponsible…

p7 Apollo: By the way… it was Detective Skye… Phoenix: Hm? Apollo: Ema called me Wright's kid today. Even I was lumped together. Phoenix: (millisecond of internal crisis, come on Phoenix, tell him the truth!) Phoenix: You're also my kid, huh? Apollo: Ah… that's right.

p8 Phoenix: Thank you for your hard work. Phoenix: It's nice to be a father surrounded by his children.

im reading this manga abt this divorced woman who falls in love with her neighbor and i really love the artists style because the way the artist draws her makes it apparent that theres not only something deeply wrong with her but it veers into looking like a horror manga at points

this lady has a schoolgirl crush and is a total crybaby and she looks like a creature from a junji ito manga

2009 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix - Sebastian Vettel(ft. Mark Webber & Jenson Button)

#I’m reading volumes 14-16 of the ouran manga OOUGHHH MY HEART #I love this weird little friend group so much its unreal #like u have this charming sweeps you off your feet prince but he’s actually a huge lovable idiot with a kind heart and his friends #who are all misfits that he reached out to and drew in because of his kindness and own weirdness like that shits TIGHT BRO #and the trauma part where he has some deep seated issues with love bc he thinks that itll break a family apart like with his mom #how his family isnt allowed to be together because his mom and dad fell in love and how he says he wants to build a big house #so that way one day everyone will get along as a family like. all he wants is not to lose everyone and the only way to do that is #by maintaining a certain order.. he both wants a complete family so bad and doesnt want anything to sour between anyone #so he assigns each of his friends a family role based on how he sees them and YEAH its mostly played for giggles and tamakis #already weird so its his way of showing theyre close to him but. god damn this boy has LAYERS #it also feels kinda meta towards how found family tends to get thrown around to assign characters as 'siblings' or family roles instead of #using it to describe characters who are close enough to be each others family. cuz tamakis doing that EXACT THING in a way tht #ties in with his character and i have to say its fascinating using that within the story itself and its completely plausible #theres a lot of things i can say about ouran that are good bad and questionable but. god i love it when characters are niceys to each other #i remember i really liked the mall episode bc kyoya and haruhi got to spend time together and their relationship isnt very close #but it was really nice to see their personalities bounce off each other. i think i also wouldve liked to see haruhi alone with kaoru #i also firmly believe all of the hosts are at least a little in love with haruhi and this can be anything like endearing romantic cuz like #who DOESNT love haruhi. kyoya i think would want to study her under a microscope like his fascination with her draws him in #but im fucking obsessed with whatever haruhi and tamaki have going on because YES hes obsessed with her YES he jumps at the chance to #put her in a cute costume but haruhi? she just fucking goes with it because she knows hes fun to be around even if hes a little wacky abt i #theyre all so. It's a crime that more people aren't aware of House's prison bracelet. He wears it basically all of s8, and Hugh Laurie said that House made it in prison as a reminder of the time he served and everything he went through during his incarceration.

when i first started checking out d.e.b.s aka that old 2004 cult classic with lesbian spies, i was simply expecting a kinda-raunchy and very campy movie. i was not expecting said kinda-raunchy and very campy movie with aforementioned lesbian spies to be actually kinda cute-

#to be fair i haven't watched the entire movie (i'm a very busy uni student rn forgive me)#i only watched whatever clips i could find on youtube #and like #i am genuinely surprised? like i dunno i just had the general impression that this movie had a level of raunchiness #and whatever clips ive seen before made it look rather low budget so i honestly didnt expect much #but like the whole thing is actually kinda cute!#id argue that perhaps it could be set up a little better so that the pacing would make more sense and a relationship be better developed #like this movie could potentially benefit from a remake #BUT AS IT EXISTS i find the love story really cute! it's lighthearted and honestly cute and i like that!#good change of pace! sometimes i just wanna get cute no-much-fuss queer shit and that's perfectly nice!#so yea no formal review as of the moment since im too fucking busy to actually watch movies #but the verdict on the overall love story in debs is that i think its genuinely cute!#d.e.b.s.#ALSO LUCY DIAMOND IS HOT THERE I SAID IT #and i like how dorky she can be with amy like i really genuinely like that

okay... but youre not allowed to make fun of me... its called "50 tea recipes from the duchess." korean woman gets fired, gets isekai'd into the body of a duchess who is timid to the point of patheticness and everybody fuckin hates her. is like uggghh well i dont care if im hated as long as i have my special interest: TEA. and with her autistic girl swag (label pending) she makes both the society and her cold intimidating husband love her. 70% of it is her infodumping about tea to the delight of everyone around her.

#ask me no questions and ill tell you no lies #started reading it on tapas bc i was bored and it was free. embarrassingly got invested.#more uhh romance isekai? rather than like an action based one. its cute enough. not really groundbreaking but i like the FL.#we did manage to achieve a conversation between the protag and her body swapped soul so that was fun.#generally i dont support ppl who go on abt art that they only engage w for mindless fun or whatever bc theyre usually talking abt fuckin.#idk marvel movies or the latest army propaganda films or whatever. and generally the media they talk abt verges to harmful.#but i am an avid supporter of reading dumb shit you know is silly. all art has value including stupid stuff.#other dumb stuff ive read: at least two ~sexier~ manga/manhwa. former had surprisingly decent world building.#latter had an INCREDIBLY TOXIC cast of characters. it was absolutely fascinating.#those are the more embarrassing ones and the ones i WONT be dropping titles for.#others include furry shoujo isekai; aromantic shoujo; mousou telepathy (ive mentioned that before)#gag comedy where a dude gets ~magicked~ into a girls body but the joke is hes so lazy that he doesnt give a shit (mood)#stupid bl manga with a hot fat character who is very much the main object of desire #a lot of it is manga/manhwa bc its easier to get into something kinda dumb if its bolstered by having nice visuals rather than like a book #or whatever where you have to slog through it with your imagination alone. even when reading 'dumb' art i try to engage it properly bc i #very sincerely believe that every story has some form of meaning if youre just willing to engage with it #(<- plot of orv btw for an ACTUALLY good story)#like i said the sexi manga has surprisingly good worldbuilding. the toxic story the sexu manhwa was telling was earnestly fascinating.#idk! sorry i know you were just looking for the name but while i do consider it just kinda silly its broader impact has a deep effect on me #this is why i love orv❤️ please read orv. while i already had these fond feelings prior to reading orv it really cemented it for me.#oh and i read romance novels sometimes. i like stuff thats cute and silly! idk. youve been on my blog you can see my icon this isnt news.
