For the Laicion nation (aka, me and three other people)

I had this illustration commissioned (a big thank you to @lunehowls) for my werewolf AU Laicion fic (still a WIP).

The general pitch is as follows :

AU in which Laios never got to meet his sister again, putting his life on a whole other path, a more desperate one. A military deserter with barely a coin to his name, Laios hitches a ride on a boat to one of the elven continents, where he learns about magical tattoos that binds one’s soul to a wolf’s, effectively making them artificial werewolves. Illegal magic be damned, this feels like the answer to… everything.

In the process, he learns about the existence of an illegal fighting ring in one of the elven cities, where beastmen gladiators gather. Freshly tattooed and without anywhere else to go to, Laios decides to head there, where he meets Lycion, an elf and artificial werewolf gladiator. If they first bond over a simple shared meal, by spending time together (sharing the same room in the barracks, maybe the same bed? gasp) they find that they have a lot in common, notably a shared distaste for the body they were born in, a dysphoria partially remedied by becoming a werewolf.

so a couple days ago i was bored in the hotel room and internet connection was like nonexistent which means i couldn’t use my phone. so my aunt turned on the tv which miraculously worked and we aimlessly switched through the channels until we landed on one broadcasting “transformers : rise of the beasts”. we looked at each other and went “why not”.

[spoilers??] i did not expect my jaw to drop to the ground in shock and disbelief when one of the antagonist killed bumblebee in like the first act??? huh???? and then optimus prime was like “NOOOO BUMBLEBEEE 😭😭😭👊👊👊” and i was like “HUH DID THEY JUST KILL AN ESSENTIAL CHARACTER RIGHT OFF THE BAT???” anyways

so after watching like 1/3 of it (cuz i had to shower halfway through), i became fascinated with the material. more specifically bumblebee cuz he’s the only character i can remember whenever transformers is brought up. and he’s like, cute. yellow and round. bumblebee. cute.

this made me do a very normal and expected response to my reflection on the snippets of the movie i watched: read fanfiction. yay i read transformers fanfiction 😰😼

and i Cried. by the way. on a bumblebee & charlie watsons fanfic. i did not even see the movie or understood what was going on. i didn’t even know bumblebee lost his voice??? but it was unexpectedly poetic and i think bumblebee has my heart rn. oh and charlie. i love charlie too.

yeah so i sat down one night and watched the 2018 bumblebee movie that i’ve kinda been itching to watch but i never entertained that thought cuz why would i be compelled to watch a transformers movie right? right???
