For those of you who don't know, this person watches you from a distance. They don't necessarily feel overwhelmingly romantic towards you; they see this connection from a different perspective, and they think you two find it hard to get along with each other. So here's the thing: they see the value of this connection and its potential, but they're waiting for the right moment to propose the idea to you. Both of you are fierce in character, and they feel a resemblance to you. They see this as a great opportunity. It's hard for them to say anything currently because they think you're sharp and that you would turn them down. This person goes hot and cold about you; one minute they're all in, and another minute they just want to focus on their casual connection with you and keep things formal. This person fears conflict with you and your disagreement; that's what stops them from deciding what to make of this. For some, they want to approach you, but their feelings are not serious. They see this connection as an opportunity; they're not coming from a place of heart; they want it for what it has to offer.
2.
You are on this person's mind 24/7; this isn't a new connection as far as I'm seeing here; you two seem to know each other for quite some time; you could even be asking about someone you used to be with. They think about all the good times you shared together, and they're reminiscing about them. Even though there's zero to minimal contact here, this person still feels passionate about you. They haven't seen you in a while; they miss seeing you, I'm getting, but they see that this connection isn't going anywhere; this person is very troubled. In their minds, they have a lot of friction; they're dealing with their own stuff, so they don't even have the energy to pursue this; their thinking is self-focused right now.
3.
This person thinks you're theirs. They love every bit of the time they spend with you. You may recognise them as someone who doesn't say what's on their mind, but they're a very intense person. They feel fresh and new around you. They're not the type to be all lovey-dovey around you when showing you their feelings; they keep to themselves how they're convinced that you're the one for them. When they're sure about someone's place in their heart, that's the big deal for them. This person is not good with words at all, and it's a bit of a struggle for them; they don't know how to say the right things to you. Your preciousness for them is buried deep in their hearts. Their intentions are good for you, and they want you to know that. Pile 3 I really like your people's energy; they're really genuine and unbiased people.
reminder that if you're not watching Crayon Shin-chan then you are living a hollow and empty life. this is not edited. this ripped straight from the movie (Movie 8: Jungle That Invites the Storm, highly recommend for fellow Masaaki Yuasa lovers)

hello! i love your zelink stuff sm😭 do you have any advice on how you get your characters so textured? like,, idk how to explain, but the clothes, hair and skin have a cool smudged effect. it might be rendering, but i really like your style of it!
uhhh okay im not sure exactly what you mean so i'm just going to go over everything you could potentially be talking about lmfao. (this is the problem with having multiple coloring styles)
what i think you're probably talking about is the very soft, smudgy rendering style that I sometimes use for more finished pieces. I haven't used it that much recently though so i'm not entirely sure?? for examples it looks like this:
this is a combination of 3 different sai brush presets. I sketch with a custom crayon brush, do flat colors with sai's default paper acrylic brush, and shade with a custom watercolor brush, and then i do a second pass overtop of all that with the crayon brush again to smooth things out and define important details. these are the settings for those brushes:
if you're talking about the kind of cleaner block-color look like this, which I think is the style I use most often:
this is the same crayon brush and paper acrylic brush mentioned above, but instead of shading with the soft watercolor brush I use the same paper acrylic brush to cell-shade. color and line do most of the heavy lifting here, since the only brush with any special texture is the paper texture on the crayon brush that's used for the linework.
the third potential style this could maybe (?) be about is this rougher, more obviously textured style, although in my mind i wouldn't call this 'smudged':
this is my new holy grail brush. i love her and i use her for absolutely everything. this one is for CSP, not sai. it's called sketches / doodles by REN99W, content ID 2024976 on the asset store, and it's FREE which is insane because it's the best csp brush ive ever used in my entire life. its pressure sensitivity is really cool because at normal pressure it will basically act like a normal linework brush with a bit of nice crunchy texture, but if you press harder than normal you get that sort of spray effect that looks almost like a halftone. literally incredible. works for sketching, lining, painting, ANYTHING. this brush has carried my art for the past semester and a half
i have this reoccurring daydream where i am teleported into iii as a contestant. But I’m still fully human and everything. So all of the other characters are like What The Fuck and treat me like an outcast, and i don’t know how to properly go up to them without being super awkward because 1) they hate me for being human and 2) i already know so much about them so what if i slip up and accidentally say something that they call out as being a little weird. so basically i’m a loner and everyone hates me
and i’m put in a cabin (do they have cabins iii? i choose to believe they do. those motherfuckers should not sleep on the floor.) with box and i’m like “fucking hell of course i get put with the nonsentient one” and stuff. and i’m sitting there, day after day getting weird looks and waiting for my literal cardboard box of a roommate to get the shit beaten out of it, and i sort of end up ranting about all the bullshit the other contestants are doing and how shitty they are to it, and eventually i end up getting attached to box. and then the thing happens and i get back to my cabin and realize… it’s so lonely here. it’s so empty. so i am Spiraling.
and then there’s a new episode that wasn’t originally in the season and the whole thing was just an interview about how you see your other contestants, and i go through and get asked a bunch of stuff and try to answer as vaguely as possible because i can’t let it slip that i Know Too Much and things are well and good. But at the end of the day, all the contestants are sat down and shown a compilation of all the interviews. And every contestant— minus like a handful who are neutral/vaguely positive— are just shitting on me for being weird and quiet and human. there’s no elimination that night, so i’m left to sit there and realize that everyone despises me. everyone hates me. and i break down.
the next day, i don’t come out of my cabin. not until i’m physically dragged out and plopped down to do the challenge. the team yells at me for not being there, and one in particular makes a comment about how “it’s no wonder everyone hates you” and i straight up tell that motherfucker that “nobody asked. shut your mouth.” and everyone’s all pissy and we end up losing the challenge. then a similar thing to that one yinyang voting angst shit happens, the viewers vote for my immunity and everyone votes for me out because of “this bitch said a mean thing :(“ bullshit. and im like. oh my god what the fuck guys.
and then there’s more to that but this just sounds so fucking cringe already. it gets more cringe and thats why i wont share it here but things do end up looking better for me in the daydream!!! its not all social torture guys!!! anyways why the fuck do i think about this kind of thing i need more therapy
"To say Claude has trust issues is an understatement—you have to spend half the game earning his. (Claude isn't even his real name!) Once you have it, though, he's absolutely ride or die for you until the stars go out. He is so full of heart and ambition: He wants both sides of his heritage to get along, he wants to open borders and eliminate xenophobia and promote equality between commonfolk, and deep down, I think he craves a partner to stand with him at that new dawn, or an equal who sees his vision for the future and will fight for it just as hard. Nobody believed in him when he was a kid, but if you put your faith in him, he'll return it tenfold. Some people don't like that he's calculating, or has to leave the player character at the end of the game to go back to his homeland, but both are necessary elements for his goals to change things. He will always come back, and everyone who bets against him and his love for his companions is wrong with a big fat W. #KhalidForMostDatablePrez"
"Claude is a fun little onion of facades. He calls himself the embodiment of distrust, he acts like he's carefree and without worries, an unscrupulous schemer--and so many in universe buy into that hook line and sinker. He's used to others viewing him with suspicion and uses it as armor to obscure his not-so-dark truth: that he cares immensely, that he values minimizing the loss of life, and that above all he has so much hope that people will fundamentally choose to do better given the choice.
His front guards a center that his conflict filled world would be happy to tear apart. As the child of people from two nations in constant conflict--one of which is explicitly isolationist and dehumanizes those outside its church's reach--he hasn't really had a place where he can be without his facade. As a child he thought he could run, but when confronted with the fact that this hatred existed no matter where he ran, he chose to instead try to create a more just and kind world.
His inability to let others in beyond his facade at first may lead to a sense of distance, but isn't it then all the more satisfying when you're allowed in? All he wants is a little trust, a little faith, and--like what he wants to give everyone--a chance to be better.
And like that you got a charming young lad with a fun personality that your grandma would be thrilled to have stay forever."
Milo propaganda:
“they were in the last contest sure but i feel like they could get farther. like they're literally a nonbinary grim reaper that's also an influencer and sure sometimes the influencer stuff can get kinda overwhelming i feel like it's very clear that they care about you and want to be around you. you guys go on a reaping date. their eyes and nail colour change based on their mood too and i think it's a really cute detail!! also SLIGHT SPOILERS but they even reference rocky horror in their special ending. they are perfect to me and i love them and i believe they deserve a second chance <3”
"Vote for Milo because they deserve it
They're literally so attractive
- They are a social media influencer
- They are obsessed with an adorable little kitty and will do everything in their power to make this cat the most beloved creature in existence
- They love makeovers and helping their friends rebrand (this includes working with Damien and the PC to help Jerry the Murderer rebrand so that they really has a brand identity)
- They are a grim reaper and even help the PC plan the PC's own funeral (special ending) and they give a great speech and it's super sweet
- They will sometimes take the PC on reaping jobs with them and shenanigans ensues
So in summation, vote for Milo because, as I repeat, they deserve it"
I have sooooo many ideas for a hypothetical new skillset for ashe in s3. Like
ive been cooking like crazy n rambling to my friends. Like the only thing they could do is give ashe cool tech stuff. He'd either be the guy in the chair or have cool tech like cantrip. I think story wise it makes since for her to be the guy in the chair but playing wise if yakko did return i feel like thatd get boring after a while, like if he was staying in the show longterm eventually the whole guy in the chair setup would probably get very limiting roleplay wise
so i just. Went crazy thinking about cool tech stuff they'd have
-big mechanical arm. mechanical equivalent of the big demon arm bcuz it was cool
-short distance teleport to easily withdraw from combat / switch between inperson and guy in the chair. professor cross already had the temporary long term teleport machine im sure he could figure out something like this especially given williams literal dimension crossing new ability they can research that a bit im sure they could figure it out
-more guy in the chair abilities. he has hologram panels and does cool stuff hehehe
-bonus! With the hc of her using mobility aids i thought of a super cool way to like. Build them into the tech. so i was doing forearm crutches before but like what if it was like those mechanical spider legs some characters have they just attach to the wall and hover there you know. so its kinda like that but more like a crutch without the hand usage so they can still mess with the panels n do things whatever they need to do. its like an extra mechanical limb that specifically is like strong enough to support her without putting too much stress on his body if that makes sense ? and then they move it around with a controller. Like. Like gaming.
Its literally just motion controls. and then the buttons are for like controlling slash messing with all the panels n things whatever he can do mechanic wise with that. as well as just movement. idk does that make sense. But i am so normal about the idea of it literally just being gaming its literally gaming its just motion controls and i love that LMAO
-another bonus. this ones more self indulgent but as you may know. i am the #1 water fairy enthusiast so i say. that post i made of will finding water fairy in spirit world and giving them back to ashe is canon and so water fairy helps ashe in combat too :)
-ice spears, can do stuff with water a bit, and ice, maybe they can make like a sorta fog slash mist like a rlly cold mist like with the ice ability ? maybe steam?? Idk the fog aesthetic with ashe is so cool
-ashe still has his heelies she has great movement. bonus heelies can switch to ice skates to skate on ice water fairy creates >:)
-maybe water fairy can make like an ice spear but an ice SCYTHE??? or some other cool ice weapon for ashe to use
-also ashe has wings! Idk if they would or wouldnt be able to fly but if they could then thats a whole nother thing she can do thats movement based >:))
I’ve read that in order to have empathy for others, one needs to first believe that people are inherently good. Do you think this is the case for Levi? What’s your own personal opinion on this?
I think Levi probably believes in the general goodness of people, yes. He's also seen the very worst of humanity, though, and is very aware of just how bad people can be. I don't think Levi harbors any idealistic delusions about humanity and its ability to ever be a harmonious and peaceful animal.
But I also think Levi holds empathy even for people who aren't really good, or people who have obvious negative qualities. Like, for example, Dimo Reeves, and the merchants of Trost. Levi wanted to help those people, even though all of them were actually extremely greedy and selfish. He in fact saves the lives of two of the merchants who were badmouthing him and the Survey Corps just moments before, when he pushes them out of the way of an oncoming wagon. And he goes out of his way to broker a deal with Reeves to help the entire city of Trost out of financial ruin and despair. We see this kind of stuff from Levi all the time. Like when he gives Petra's patch to that one soldier, despite the man's own, selfish actions endangering the entire unit, and causing them to have to dump the bodies of Levi's own squad. He gives this man Petra's patch, despite being insulted by him only a short time before, as well. Or the soldier in "No Regrets" that endangered Levi's own life through petty jealousy, Levi ends up saving his life, too. He saves Furlan's life, despite Furlan trying to trick him and force him into joining his gang. He forgives Erwin and chooses to keep believing in him, despite Erwin's duplicity and selfishness. He didn't even hate Kenny, in the end, despite all that he had done to him, and tried to understand why Kenny abandoned him, to see it from his point of view. He tries to help Floch and save him from being cut down by Mikasa, despite his viciousness toward Erwin. He understands the reason Mikasa is so harsh in her criticisms of him and even cruel in her accusations against him is because she loves Eren, which is why he doesn't push back against her or scold her for it. He didn't want either her or Eren to suffer for directly disobeying him in Shinganshina, either, and even threatening his life, letting them out of their holding cells early. He showed compassion for Pastor Nick, even, despite his refusal to help directly endangering lives, and even with Sannes, you could tell Levi wasn't enjoying torturing him and didn't want to take it too far, his horrified expression when Hange rips his tooth out really demonstrating this. There's a reason people call Levi the most empathetic character in the story. They aren't just talking out of their ass when they say so. Levi holds empathy even for bad people, and for people who have done bad things. He even tried to understand Zeke, but Zeke was just too far gone at that point.
So I don't think Levi's empathy hinges on his ability to believe in the goodness of people. He's seen and experienced first hand, probably more than anyone, just how rotten people can be, and he still believes their lives have value and he still wants to help them.
As for myself, I tend to have a pretty negative view of people, if I'm being honest, lol. But if someone is truly empathetic, I think they can acknowledge that people are just as capable of bad and just as prone to doing bad things as they are good, and still think they deserve compassion. Levi is exceptionally compassionate and empathetic. I think he's a better person than most.
i feel like. theres designing a character with certain themes and motifs in mind, and then theres making a gijinka for the water bottle on my nightstand
sequel/companion to The Space Between Worlds, set a decade later
character-focused sci-fi set in an area divided in two, the rich protected city on one side and everyone else in the post-apocalyptic desert
follows a woman who works under the Emperor in Ashtown, keeping the peace
when mangled bodies start showing up with seemingly no murderer, she’s tasked with finding the cause, and finds out that it’s the result of corruption spanning both cities and multiple worlds
explores oppression and messy revolution, police violence and apartheid
and btw im in my hater arc rn. as time goes on the more i find a lot of 'fandom' stuff insufferable (i like art n stuff. just the way that fandom refits every media to fit a single mold and set of boring archetypes is exhausting.)
i just get really easily annoyed lately. and have been unfollowing people on a whim a lot. its not personal i promise
i genuinely think people who write daigo as super subby don't actually think daigo is super subby they just project that onto him bc they think somebody has to be and he's the least aggressive on average
I don’t really care about shipping THAT much but honestly a lot depends on what about a pairing makes you like it. what about it draws you in, what doesnt, and why you want to change that thing. what it would become if you changed that thing, what changing that thing would do to it.
I saw a post about zukka the other day where OP was groaning about how many ppl make zuko into a babygirl for his long hair while acting like sokka is this hypermasculine hunter type, despite so much of his character deals with themes of inadequacy and wanting to make people around you proud/ take you seriously. also him liking shopping and arts&crafts and into theatre and writing poetry. OP said something like ‘it becomes about the viewers desire to fit a character to their own tastes, without considering who the character actually is’ which is such an eloquent way of putting it!
so when it comes to messing around with identities via ships its like… playing with gender and shit is fun! its good to explore and mess around and try things. if your outlet is through your favorite characters, hey, go nuts. but I think its really important to look at the way we feel and consider why we feel that way.
literally whenever i sit down to write something i go ‘okay. is this for me to be self indulgent and ooc. or is this to be faithful to the characters as they exist as narrative tools’ basically am i writing for Me or am i writing for Them. and i do both! but it just comes down to that I dont like taking characters out of the context of their stories too much. im a firm believer of ‘liking something because of something, not despite it’, so when it comes to m/f ships its like. okay well why am I drawn to this over a gay ship. do I think ‘damn i wish this was gay’ or is the fact that its mf add a little flavor. for me its all about the flavor
its literally sso weird seeing like the majority of posts in a fandom just being people thirsting over characters, like, thats actually what that many people take away from watching television? and although they do it a bit over female characters, its mostly male characters, which i reckon must say a lot about demographics? and like, sometimes you can tell when theyll go weird over it from how the characters portrayed like 'conventionally good looking' and with body language and framing and stuff that you can tell its intentional, although in some cases (or maybe thats just my interpretation) but i always saw it as more the showing offs like the audience is meant to relate to them instead? like its actually from their pov and the audience is just meant to think theyre cool. although maybe thats just me. but then also sometimes the chaaracter is so much like one youre meant to thinks cool or from their pov or whatever and they havent portrayed the conventional attractiveness as clearly, or like thats not how their characters portrayed so its always so weird to me when people on here start going on about how attractive they are
