There isn’t nearly enough DPxRWBY crossovers and I’m here to fix that

Danny has to run away from his universe. Could be any number of reasons, but I think after revealing his identity to the public the GIW starts a manhunt that forces Danny to flee to the Ghost Zone. He says his goodbyes to his friends and family, who all know their world isn’t safe for him anymore, and he leaves.

Of course, he can’t stay in the Ghost Zone. His enemies would end him in a heartbeat, and with enough time he’s sure the GIW could track him down. So he dives into the first portal he comes across.

He ends up in this silent, wintery town. It seems like a ghost town. After some exploration he finds bodies in every bed in the town, and he decides that after some rest he’ll leave and try to find the nearest town not full of dead people.

He falls asleep for a few hours, and wakes up to some noise outside. He’s ready to flee, worrying that he’ll be hunted down again, when the front door of the house he’s chosen to stay in swings open, and suddenly he’s staring into the red eyes of some dude with what looks like a cartoonishly large sword strapped to his back.

The guy seems shocked for a moment, and they sit in silence, staring at each other.

“You alright, kid?”

Danny learns that these people are staying here for the night before continuing their journey to the next town. They offer for Danny to come with them, and he agrees. It’s better than staying here alone in this world he’s never seen before, in a town full of dead bodies.

And then some weird stuff starts to go down.

For starters, apparently everyone in this world has superpowers? At least it’ll be easier for Danny to blend in if he accidentally uses one of his powers out of habit in front of someone.

He learns that there are also these creatures called Grimm. The old woman, Maria, was reading about some of the studies one of the guys in the town did, regarding these creatures.

The worst part was when everyone started to get really tired and lethargic.

Because suddenly Danny was the only one thinking straight.

Ruby throws the weird lamp thing she had been carrying down a well, then insists there’s something down there. Danny offers to help, at which point Ruby’s friends begrudgingly decide to help as well.

And those things are terrifying.

These tall, lanky skeleton creatures filled the well and the pathways beyond. They managed to retrieve the lamp by the skin of their teeth, but not without a close call when Ruby’s friend ended up nearly getting killed.

And then Ruby did a weird thing, just as Danny leapt forward to grab the girl in danger.

A bright flash engulfed the well, and suddenly Danny was writhing on the ground in unimaginable pain, similar to what he felt when surrounded by the blood blossoms.

They manage to escape mostly unscathed, the house set ablaze, those horrid monsters dying along with it.

And now everyone has questions about Danny.
