Today marks three years of Dianthus existing! I made my first concept sketches for her on 11/20/23 💖 this also means it's been three years of Diathesterius! I sometimes use the date I uploaded Dia to toyhouse, the 21st, as the anniversary date just in case I'm late... but I managed to finish colouring this <3 I had actually wanted to do something for this earlier in the month, I even made some very elaborate plans for it... but it ended up not happening! Which is okay 💞 but I still wanted to draw a little wedding piece... so I did! I'll make something fancier when I have more time later on... 💝 I used my own handwriting here for authenticity, but at some point... I'd like to be able to rewrite in Greek for More authenticity <3 Uncropped version (and long rambling post) under the cut 💕 I get a little Vulnerable so don't read it if you're gonna be mean or else I'll like Get You or something

I've made posts in the past talking about why Theseus and Asterius mean so much to me, but I don't think I've made one on why Dianthus herself means so much to me.. so for her own third year anniversary, I'll do that here! before I begin...! the fruit in dia's hair here are from the strawberry tree, arbutus unedo. I associate the tree and its fruit with Theseus but... it's honestly been so long, I don't remember exactly why! Just that, for some reason, I imagine thathis childhood home had a tree of these fruit blossoming just outside his mother's room, and thus he has fond memories of it. Lady Dianthus... she who loves all things pink, actively hates celery, and still has a job at the library despite being so fogetful and clumsy... she who met Theseus and immediately became obsessed because it was the first interesting thing to happen to her- not a parent or someone she's close to, but herself! her first time feeling as if she had a true purpose. She who didn't understand Theseus' obsession with Asterius until meeting he Minotaur, and promptly decided "he's not scary? he's not scary at all! he's just a cow!" I've made sona and the likes before Dia of course, but she was the first in a long time who was truly meant to resemble me in all ways (except for the setting, of course...). I made her design simple so I would easily be able to redraw her, and gave her one of my favourite palettes pink and green and cream and gold. At first I really didn't expect to get that attached to her... I went months without drawing her after her initial creation. but the more I drew her the more I realized how much fun I was having with her...! It's funny looking back on it... originally I had a much more comedic idea for her story, and di not intend to ship her with Theseus in any serious way. It was going to be a completely one-sided love (with Dianthus taking the role of "crazed fangirl" - which she still is, in a way). I'm sure it isn't a surprise but it didn't take me long at all to start drawing ship art of them, creating artworks and writing of Theseus and Asterius was a self indulgent joy for me, so why not selfship art too? I ended up invested, of course. Using Dia I put a lot of my own feelings into a story; a sense of otherness, her loneliness, feeling lost and out of place. I had removed it later on because I felt uneasy with how vulnerable it was, but at one put I had placed one of the most traumatic events of my life into Dia's story- sometimes I think about adding it back, because I know giving her an oppurtunity to open up about it with her beloveds would be something beneficial to Me irl(!). But that's besides the point here... she's a stubborn girl, sweet but arrogant is my usual go-to descriptor for her; that's how I think of myself too, just based on what I've been told (I have a hard time thinking of myself as nice, though others always say so to me...). That may be part of why I tend to look for those features in (fictional!) lovers... something feels good to me about being able to butt heads due to this shared traits, but still coming together and making amends despite it. I do think it's a little funny that the sonas I've gotten the most attached to so far- Dianthus, and now Nerine- have some sort of theme of death with them. Dianthus is literally a ghost, and Nerine is metaphorically one (and maybe liteally, if I ever make up my mind...). Maybe that's just fitting for me, though... hmm... I'm not sure what else I want to say here... I think of Dianthus as "Me but in Hades Game / Ancient Greek context." Of course some events that happen in her life didn't happen to me, or, sometimes, I dramatize it (Dia's mother leaving her and her father to become the wife of a god was inspired by the fact that for the first few yers of my life, my parents were separated... but they always had a positive relationship with one another! Unlike Dia's parents), but she's become a big par

t of me all the same. Just as I am happy and hoping to spend many more years with Theseus and Asterius, I hope to spend many more years with her as well. i think that's all I'll write for now <3 if you read this thank you for being curious enough about me to be interested in all this 😭

Hey y'all!!! Been a while.... I'm going to make some content for this blog over the next couple weeks again! I might switch my bio to 'semi-hiatus,' because I don't think I'll catch up on requests, but I'll keep you all posted. I've got a couple of ideas for things to do!

I watched the new Hazbin series and finally watched Helluva Boss, so I'm going to do some content for those fandoms, but I'll probably do some old faithful content for Skulduggery and Homestuck and other favourites!

I was trying to put my finger on why I've been on so many hiatuses from this blog recently, and I do think I figured it out. I'll put it under a read more just for general themes of adulting and hardship for those who are interested in the personal details.

My partner's been very impacted by disability things lately and has been about 50% bedridden but 99% housebound. We've moved in with parents because we can't do rent on one income, and I've generally been in a bit of a caretaking role with all the chores falling on me, as well as help with planning, appointments, shopping, applications, etc.

It's just left me with not much energy left for regression dynamics: I'm personally only comfortable regressing when I'm alone in the house, and all of my caretaking energy is going to my partner instead of my earlier efforts to find a regressor to care for.

I'm still doing lots of creative things, I've mostly been focusing on my selfship blog but I'm also doing a top 100 ships series on another blog, and having fun with that! But that's why agere content specifically has been hard for me for the last year or two. I'll come back to it properly eventually, and I really do want to make more things on this blog, but that's my little life update on where I'm at.

On the plus side I'm working a lovely little office job at the moment and possibly getting into management for a pay raise! So things are going pretty well, I just need to get out of the house more lol, I forget to take care of myself sometimes.

Any of them! This is a general Rain Code ship week, which means that anyone can participate! Wholesome ships? Sure! Toxic ships? Go wild! Selfshipping? Of course! OC x Canon? Absolutely! Of course, I'll be sure to tag any and all entries properly on the Tumblr blog for this event, should it come to fruition.

When will this week take place?

I'm gunning for late July/early August, since there are no other Rain Code events happening at that time, and it gives people time to create as well. If enough are interested, I will solidify the date.

Will NSFW entries be allowed?

I am... tentative about this, since I want to allow minors to participate in the event. However, I've decided I will give a ruleset for this: all NSFW entries must be properly tagged and at least put under a Read More (or, if on Twitter, censored by a content warning). I would vastly prefer, however, if they are posted through a separate link (such as AO3 for fics, or Pixiv/Poipiku for art) and labelled as 18+ content. The week's blog or Twitter account will not be reblogging/sharing NSFW entries otherwise!

Are spoilers allowed?

Absolutely! I ask that you please tag them, though. The blog, too, will tag them, but the Twitter account won't.

long story short, i just wanted to do something for april fools… last year albedo made an appearance, so i thought of doing the same this year... but i felt like it would be repetitive. so given the recent developments and future events, this idea came up lol

in any case, it's the truth that i've been warming up to neuvillette.... i've been writing more for him, and if you saw my 2023 wrapped post you probably saw him as a 'runner-up'... and i really do mean it when i say he's been kinda occupying the back of my brain since last year hskdljfklsd at the end of his story quest... his tone when talking to kiara.... sobsob ueueue

however, i'm honestly still unsure if i can/want to have an actual selfship with him (ó﹏ò｡) i can't figure out how it'll work out yet... it just feels like with neuvillette's canon personality, he wouldn't even think of glancing my way in the first place, given the circumstances…. and zhongli... what do i do about him.... ough....

you'll note if you stick around that my general theory slant is towards kris being the most important character in deltarune and i tend to speculate in that direction. accordingly, i tend to think kris is the primary knight, kris is the narrator, and there is no third entity. this isn't really like stopping me from reconsidering (i now have weird music-based theories on chapter 2's fountain) just "what if it's chara" usually won't get much of a reply from me

i take player theory as the default and will post about it pretty regularly

i post a fair mix of angst and humor, especially kris-focused angst. i do tag all snowgrave related stuff with #snowgrave if that bothers you any!

- What the heck are Banshee Blossoms?

Glad you asked, my fine friend! They're a fictional flower I made up based on these pretty little blooms on the roof of the mansion!

(Don't mind the fire. Luigi is totally fine.)

Here's my silly little doodled rendition for reference!

Banshee Blossoms are symbols of love, romantic and platonic, even familial! There's a tradition in the Boo Kingdom where you give one to someone you care about. They're said to bless whomever is gifted one with good luck and a happy relationship for the rest of their lives into their afterlife! Theyre pale white flowers that glow like moonlight with purple foliage.

They only bloom in the month of March, so now is the best time to come and view them!

- What's this event all about?

This event is tailor made for those of you who selfship or self insert as well as anyone who has Luigi's Mansion ocs! You're all welcome to attend! I'll be hosting it along with my darling husband King Boo 💕

It's just a small, relaxed event for everyone to have fun with whether you're an artist or not.

The general thing you can do is go around to your friends' ask boxes and leave them Banshee Blossoms should you feel so inclined. But we also have... Prompts!

That's right! Prompts. You're a great listener!

The event runs from March 15th - March 17th, and throughout those days, you, dear listener, will have two prompts to choose from with which you may create things with! Think of them as themed projects? You can choose one or do both if you're feeling it!

The regular prompts will be:

15th - Arrival / Meeting

(Your arrival at the ball, or you meeting someone at the ball!)

16th - Grudges / Spinoffs

(Getting out any grudges before the party begins, or thinking of your self insert/ship/oc in the context of a Mario series spinoff like Mario Kart or Mario Golf ect.)

17th - Party / Comfort

(How you would be enjoying the party, or perhaps reviving comfort from somebody or something.)

Along with our regular prompts, we will also have musical ones for those of you who are music autistics with melodies in your heart like me.

Before I begin, YES I KNOW THIS IS SWEET AND SILLY BUT LET'S BE HONEST IS IT REALLY A POST FROM MY ACCOUNT IF IT'S NOT SAPPY AND SWEET AND CHEESY? PLUS IT'S IMPORTANT TO ME, BUT ANYWAYS! IF YOU DON'T WANNA READ, IT'S A MILESTONE CELEBRATION POST WITH A DASH OF MY GRATITUDE FOR THIS ACCOUNT AND YALL AND ALSO SELFSHIPPING AS A WHOLE.

I normally don't take the time to mention numbers, especially in terms of followers or interaction. This is mostly because I'd rather focus on creating content both my followers and I enjoy, but today is a bit different. I woke up, checked my blog, and saw that there are 3000 people following me. For some, it may be silly to post about, but for me, it means the world.

When I began posting in January of last year, I had no idea if I was even going to keep this blog for long. Truthfully, I was still figuring out my place in selfshipping. I'd created f/o blogs in the past, but I never really kept them. This time, I'd promised myself that for once, I'd try to consistently post and create content that would bring me joy, whether anyone saw it or not. I added tags so that I could possibly find more people who felt the same way I did. I posted to not only create a space where I felt less alone in my personal bond with my f/os, but to also find others who may feel similarly. Over time, I've been able to create and post things that not only I enjoy, but that have also positively impacted others.

And while I didn't think I'd be on this blog for so long, I'm so glad I did. I am so glad I stuck with it, because there ar people who have followed me for my content and have enjoyed it. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Thank you for letting me post and gush and get all excited about my f/os. Thank you for sharing and reblogging and interacting with my content, and telling me how much it means to you, even though you aren't obligated to. Thank you for making me feel so welcome and appreciated in this community. Thank you for each and every interaction. I cannot wait to keep creating new stuff, I can't wait to have more great experiences, but most of all, I can't wait to see what the future has in store.

Hiya! First off, I don't want to be a bother so please do not feel pressured to answer or give any advice if you aren't feeling it. As a warning, this involves feelings of insecurity and poor self image.

Picture the following scenario: You selfship with a character who doesn't have a canon love interest. However, another fan of that character ships either their self insert or oc with your f/o. You are more than fine with sharing them, but this person's oc is beautiful, and I mean incredibly more beautiful than both your irl self AND your self-insert. You start getting a small but persistent feeling that your f/o would canonically be way more likely to love this character than your s/i. You do not want to block this oc's creator. They are cool and you like them. But the feeling is still there.

What would you do in that situation? Apologies in advance if this makes you uncomfortable. I have no-one else to ask such a thing to. I hope you understand that the reason I'm asking this is because your blog makes me feel safe enough to do so. Even if you have no advice to give, I am thankful that you took the time to read this. I love your blog and the positivity it makes me feel. Keep being you. 💖

Anon, to be honest, I struggled trying to answer this because I do understand these feelings of not being good enough for an f/o or the idea of them choosing either a canon character, oc, or another self shipper. And I wish I had a good answer for this problem, but I don’t. The only thing I can say is that when it’s come to comparing yourself/self inserts with others, you have to remember to think about what makes you/self insert special and unique. And find things that makes you stand out and how a fictional character would find endearing about you. Because when it comes down to it, we are all exploring different dynamics and discovering ourselves through these ships. Self ships with the same characters are always gonna be different from yours and one of a kind, and that’s how you have to see it. Everyone’s self ships are catered to what they like and how that f/o would interact with them. One way that can help is seeing those who also ship with the same character as an AU (which is what I tend to do for sharing and canon ships most times). Like a multiverse sort of thing. And the good thing about having a f/o who doesn't have a canon love interest means they technically don’t have a type, so then you can play around with the idea of you being their’s!

A good exercise is to write down some positive traits and things about yourself/your self insert or oc and what would make someone fall for them. And honestly we tend to be harsh on ourselves when it comes to self love and what we look like compared to others sadly. But you will always have traits and features that will be attractive to someone, and with a character who doesn’t have a canon love interest, why not let them be the ones to find you attractive? Because at the end of the day these characters bring us comfort, and you need to allow it to comfort you, because then it will be miserable trying to enjoy these characters that are supposed to bring you joy by only worrying and overthinking about the negatives.

Again, I wish there was more I could say to help, but I’m still figuring out these feelings myself, so I hope this helps a little.
