hi im jules and this is my blog. well my real name isnt jules but i wont tell u my real name. or maybe i will one day. who knows. i started this blog bc i am one bored bitch and there is no one like me in my town. well none that i have met yet. i hail from knoxville tennessee and i hate this town so much. well i mean i like it kinda bcs next summer im goin to a bikini kill concert but thats besides the point. this town is filled with a lot of different kinds of people, but since were in the south ofc, theres mostly southern people who listen to country and wear lily pulitzer and tommy bahama or southern marsh or shit like that. i grew up in kind of a weird way. my parents had lots of issues and got divorced a little while after they got married bcs of drugs n stuff. but idrc anymore thats in the past. i love music more than anything in the whole wide world and i collect zines. i get them off of etsy from this shop called theescapistartist and she makes so much cool stuff u should so check her out. i think she has tumblr. @riotgrrrlpress thats her tumblr. anyways my favorite bands are bikini kill, tiger trap, nirvana, veruca salt, h2b, sex pistols, adicts, misfits, rhcp, and a couple others lol. ne ways my hands r gettin tired ill post somethin else later.

I've been having some trouble and I keep blocking them and deleting the asks bc it does both me and im not good at handling situations like that... i mean, I age up the characters, I write adult situations, I dont even touch anything like that but they still come at me...

So don’t read if your feelings are easily hurt and you’re one of these types of people who do shit on anon just ‘because you can’.

Honestly I’m probably not the best person to ask about this because I literally do not care about the shit that people say to me. Especially not on anon.

In the end, all you can do is try to grow a thick skin and stand by yourself and what you love to do. There will be people out there that love it too, usually MORE people than those that hate, but the problem with shit like this is that people who DO love it are less likely to send a nice comment, when people who DON’T like it think they are entitled to be little punks.

There’s a difference between hate and constructive criticism. More people need to look into what that is, but sadly, most people just want to voice their ‘opinions’, which is really them just being little bitch babies.

And what I believe in, is if you don’t give them the time of day, no matter HOW many anons they send, what they say, or what they do, then they have NO power over you. What they say will never be seen by anyone but you (and anyone you show I guess), and in the end, if you respond, you give them that power. Sure, sometimes it’s funny to respond if their gripe is absolute bullshit, but it’s important to pick and choose what you decide to respond to. Because in the end, it will cause more to come in, by the same person or whoever else.

What people don’t know is that I get a lot of shit. Every day. For the things I write, for my OCs, the way I characterize / write canon characters, my art, my etsy store. Literally ANYTHING someone can say, I’ve gotten it. But they have no power over me.

I’m an adult. I have two full time jobs. I have other responsibilities. Writing is a hobby for me, it makes me happy and I have fun doing it when I have the time. But I’m not a dedicated writer, nor do I ever want to make it something big in my life. I just do it for fun, and if other people like it, then great!

But there will always be people who don’t like things, and they feel the need to attack if they don’t like something, instead of just

You know

Moving the fuck on with their lives.

I firmly, FIRMLY believe that if you see something you don’t like in a warning ( be it before the story or in the tags) and you STILL read it and then STILL go after the person who wrote it, you are in the wrong.

YOU have to make your internet experience better and safe for YOURSELF.

Us smut writers should:

Put proper warnings

Tag the shit

Put under ‘read more’

Make sure our readers are aware that +18 content will be posted, either in our bio or SOMEWHERE

And if a person STILL READS IT then it is THEIR FAULT for seeing something they wouldn’t like.

All in all, it’s YOUR space. It’s YOUR blog. Make sure you are properly tagging, putting warnings, all that shit, but from that point on, if they get upset, then it’s their own. Fucking. Fault. If they do, it’s because they are baiting you and looking for that negative attention, trying to push some bullshit agenda instead of just making their life (and yours) better by just going away. Ignoring the shit they don’t like.

hey im.......................... stressed and i’m going to rant

I didn’t have a shop update last week because I felt that I needed to save up stock for this fair that I got accepted to on way too short of notice for which I didn’t really have any stock saved up at all, and now it’s week two and I feel like I should have some sort of update but all I have is basically two prisms to post which is an embarassingly small update and I’m not even sure if it’s worth it. My jewelry blog has been stagnating for a month if not more because I just don’t know what to post, I don’t have any ideas for how to keep it fresh, and so far it’s been......... alright, like I’ve been making steady sales despite my blog being largely ignored, probably largely due to the fact that I have a newsletter and a few lovely consistent customers (terrifying) but it’s done nothing to make me feel better.

I checked my stock for the fair which is a week from today and I barely have jewelry. Half the jewelry I made is no good because something is wrong with teh cast of the resin. I’ve been going down in my studio EVERY day and just cranking shit out but so far what I’ve made is just a lot of prisms. Just a shit load of prisms that I’ve got no idea if anyone’s going to like.

I’ve forgotten to make moss necklaces and now I basically only have the opportunity to make one batch of moss necklaces if I start now and that’s just simply not enough.

This fair might well suck and all along my blog is just being fucking STARVED and I’m scared my business is going to DIE and I will STARVE. What am I doing. What am I doing. What am I doing.

Edit: On top of that, I just remembered that my Paypal card reader sucks and probably need to be replaced and turns out unlike literally every other card reader ever, they WON’T send you a free replacement, in fact a replacement costs $15 for a shitty AUX one and almost $30 for one that conncts via bluetooth AND it’s probably not going to get here in time if I order now.

ALSO I ordered caps for my little capped pendants from a chinese wholesaler and they came in the wrong size and are egregiously too big, unusable. I tried to look at the domestic Etsy I usually order the same ones from (more expensive but it’s an emergency) and they don’t seem to stock them anymore. And finally, the backings I normally need to make pendulums, which constitutes honestly a lot of the stock I was planning on bringing, didn’t send my order I ordered a week ago because apparently they are out of the specific finish I ordered, sent me a message on Etsy a full business week ago (which I didn’t get e-mailed about) and has been awaiting a response from me to send it.

what’s of most concern is this man’s tendency to pursue teenage partners despite being well into his 20s and nearing his 30s. this perhaps wouldn’t be so concerning if he didn’t start his pursuits when these vulnerable (mostly trans boys, either pre-transition or as they transition it seems) teenagers who either aren’t 18 yet or are just recently 18. while not illegal, there is something very disturbing about a 28 year old man who repeatedly targets teenagers. he is not engaging in these relationships without knowing the ages or age gaps, he has admitted he knows just how old his partners are when he first starts seeking them out. these are not false allegations. there have been lengthy, emotionally devastating conversations with his past partners. he appears to use to fandom, online communities and groups, friendship, and roleplay to lure (there are other instances of similar posts throughout his blog) these teenagers in and then fosters a friendship with them that then he turns into a (sexual) relationship. there are several other links and screenshots throughout this post where he admits he enjoys age gaps as well.

(for those who do not know what some of these terms mean: roleplay is where two or more person’s write from the view point of certain characters from different mediums. it can vary from safe for work content or sexually explicit content.

“fandom” refers to collective fans of different medium, shows, games, books etc.)

it seems the fandoms in particular are snk, homestuck, the mcelroys brother’s content and dragon age. the first two seem as though he’s not into them anymore, but they’re worth noting. also vulture culture, norse mythology, werewolves and witchcraft but those two aren’t fandom just communities more or less.

he also appears to use okcupid, tinder and other date applications and websites to find people who meet his marks so be aware if you use such things or know people who do.

any adult man who has repeatedly displayed this behavior around teenagers should not be tolerated or excused for these actions. i would have liked to not put words in the reader’s mouth but repeated offenses like this have only one word: predatory. he should not be fostering friendships with teenagers, particularly ones who are minors. he should not be allowing minors to follow his blog. he should not be talking with them in private through skype or text or email or any other venue. he has reblogged provocative illustrated art of minors before which is disturbing given his inclinations. yes to be just, there are only two instances but they are there. there are images below which contain beastiality and as confirmed by others, he is sexually interested in scenarios involving animals beyond fiction and should not be around those either to be frank. even if you would like to wish that purely fictional interests don’t necessarily translate into real life pursuits, he has already demonstrated he’s willing to sexually and coercively pursue minors. the at the time 17 year old he dated still bears deep and lasting psychological scars from their “relationship” with him.

be aware that much of this is just the things we know of now that were made public through his blog.

i sincerely hope that the information below gives anyone pause before they continue interacting with and supporting lawrence. these are not matters that could or should be waved away or excused with “but his current boyfriend is 18/over 18.” this isn’t a one off event or cause of concern and trying to excuse his behavior makes the excuser just as much to blame for his actions.

i’m well aware there are many who will feel strongly about how this is being handled but this isn’t gossiping or rumor-milling. there’s ample evidence here that points to his attentions to minors/teenagers. and no, no one involved in the marking of this post (apart from the exes or ex-roleplay partners who responded) was personally affected. one of us got a message about this man and decided to look into it because you can’t go and believe general “slanderous” statements about people, especially from completely anonymous parties. imagine the shock when it was discovered that the message received wasn’t based in lies and that it wasn’t a “typical tumblr callout” post.
